It was a pleasant experience overall. Service was friendly and helpful to pick out local restauraunts. After hiking all day, it was a comfortable, inviting room to come back to. I would highly reccomend the Ho!
"Party Hotel--Beware if you are over 30"
This hotel is in a nice location to old Scottsdale and renovated to a fun 50's style. However, the hotel holds large drunken parties on the weekends for other than hotels guests. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax, this is not it. Do not plan to let your children enjoy the pool on the weekends, it is packed with a loud DJ, security guards […] and lots of drinkers. Our room was way in back (which I thought would be quiet but our neighbors were still ordering room service at 3:00 am) and our room wasn't cleaned until 3:30 in the afternoon. Would not stay here again. Lisez la suite
"Great Old Town Scottsdale Location"
Booked this hotel for our wedding weekend. Most of our out of town guests stayed here as well. Very affordable for the location and the time of year in Scottsdale. Cool, retro resort. Although the rooms are quiet, the property (mainly the pool area & bar) tends to be a "party property", which was fine for us being part of the "party" ourselves, but […] not for a quiet escape. Great for kids and is also a pet friendly hotel ! Superb service from the front desk, bell, valet, and waitstaff. Breakfast staff is a bit slow- so I suggest ordering ahead before you walk down the the cafe. Walking distance to great shops and restaurants in the Old Town Scottsdale area. Highly recommend. "RETRO, COOL, FUN, CREATIVE"
Everything was pretty creative; our room was very cool old style but up to date, flat screen TV, a great bathtub in the middle of the room that fits 2 people… Our room was next to a busy street and I kept getting woken up from cars, motorcycles, (it was during Bike Week) But We will definitely go back to stay again.

"Hotel Valley Ho - Scottsdale"
I work in the hospitality industry in Vegas. This place is a solid property. Great service, clean rooms, nice amenities, excellent room service, and delicious food. Very good price too!
We were very satisfied with our stay at the Valley Ho. Close to downtown and provided every service we needed. We will return!!
"Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale, AZ"
Very nice hotel! We loved its retro style, the central but quiet location, the manicured grounds, and the kindness of the staff. Our room was in a detached building, so quiet and private we didn't hear like any of the usual hotel noises. We highly recommend it and we will certainly stay again when in Scottsdale.
"Clean, retro, comfy, service was lacking a bit..."
The hotel was nice, clean and comfortable. Only complaints are the service - where the desk clerk was obviously irritated we wanted to change rooms due to the poor location and parking lot view of our original room. And then the waitress was not at all interested in helping us in the restaurant, so we left and went to another place down the street. Otherwise, […] we were pleased with our stay. Lisez la suite
"If you're in your 20's!"
If not...maybe see where else ois available...loud neighbors, paper thin walls...pretty enough, but I needed solace....good location, kids around and not the most helpful staff... overall, it was okay.
"cool"
Great hotel lots of cool modern vibes. Good service. The bar was great. The gym was a little tight but the great views from the treadmills made up for the smallness.
"LOVE the Hotel Valley Ho"
This was my first stay at the Hotel Valley Ho but it definitely won't be my last! I absolutely love this place. It is a TRUE dog friendly hotel regardless of your dogs weight or breed (going by the large variety of dogs I saw during my 3 day stay). I would recommend this place to anyone I knew!
"Happy but Confused"
The hotel is so hip and cool it's an immediate transport back to the 60s. It's not inexpensive but it is a place to treat yourself and your significant other to an adventure and we think it was worth the added costs. Check in was easy, valet parking reasonable, desk was pleasant and informative. The grounds are awesome and the room was fun and well […] equipped. We had 2 glitches that I think is worth mentioning. We were a late check in and called to inform them of such and to ask when the kitchen closed and were told 10pm which was after our arrival. Next and a surprising one was the bar service. It was totally out of whack for the rest of the experience. The night manager was behind the bar and she smiled welcomingly when we sat down and that was the end of our fun. The bartender approached us with a surprising "doing you a favor" attitude. Giving us the "what will you have" while not even looking at us. His and our hands stuck to the bar with all the sticky remanent's of the previous visitors. We ordered 2 drinks and he looked confused at one of the drinks ordered but left to promptly make them. When he returned he didn't wipe the bar, didn't use a cocktail napkin or a coaster and plopped the drinks down in all the mess and exited stage left. As it turned out both drinks were not what we ordered and we sat there waiting for him to come back. While waiting we observed that the entire bar was filthy from one end to another and obviously hadn't been cleaned for awhile. The place wasn't busy, even though it was a Friday night. Both bartenders were more interested in talking to each other than any of the guests. For the next 10 minutes we were never approached so we just got frustrated and called it good as it was late and we were beat. I tossed down whatever I had gotten and my wife couldn't do her's at all. We were still hungry and didn't even know the kitchen was open until we were leaving and heard another patron ask for and receive a menu, Jeez. Would we go agai Lisez la suite

"Hotel Valley Ho"
While the hotel was in a great location fir our stay, the hotel was pretty noisy. We actually left a day early. I know it was during a holiday week, but every night we had people partying and making noise all hours of the night. It never went on long enough to make a complaint but it was enough to disturb our sleep. We elected to self park which was […] fine during the day but if we came back later in the evening, it was challenging since there were events going on in the hall. I wouldn't recommend if you are looking for peace and quiet but if you don't mind a party atmosphere then it's a cool hotel. The hotel is a former "Rat Pack" hang out. The decor was from that era and was interesting! It wasn't a horrible stay but it could have been better. Lisez la suite
"Great hotel in walking distance of Old Scottsdale"
Great hotel! The staff was friendly and helpful. The bar always had a good crowd. It was less than a 10 minute walk to the galleries and Old Scottsdale (more galleries and restaurants)... The VH Spa was well-priced and had great service.
"Stay here"
Great quality and very stylish. I checked out three different room choices before deciding on the Tower. Stay in the Tower. The rooms are roomier and most functional. I loved this hotel.

"Hotel valley ho"
With it's modern feel this hotel is well worth the price. Great location and great service. I always have my dog with me when I travel and they had an awesome pet policy. Room was spotless when we arrived even with pet policy no hairs no dirt no stains. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Phoenix Scottsdale area.
"Very Chic"
I had a friend recommend this hotel to me and was even more impressed upon arrival. The turn of the century turned modern decor was very tasteful and practical. In the room, there was everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I want to come back in the summer and experience the pool now. The only bummer is that there isn't one closer to me. Palm […] Springs would be perfect! Lisez la suite
"Valley Ho in Scottsdale is Nice!"
Kind of a retro feel. Immaculate pool and spas. Small gripes: Charging $10 for internet is a rip off. No morning coffee in room and it cost $3.80 in the restaurant. Will visit there again.
"Valley ho"
Great happy hour. Love the art deco feel...
"Valley Ho"
Spent one night over holidays. Great location within walking distance to Old Town Scottsdale.Great room, service etc.
"A great place but..."
We love this place but the linens seemed below par for a four star hotel . We have stayed many times but they seemed different.
"Mid Century Modern Mojo"
We stayed at the Valley Ho for our anniversary. The Staff was on their game, the restaurant, ZU-ZU, was great, and the nostalgia feel was spot on. We only live 2 miles away, but this place brought back memories from when we stayed here prior to moving to the valley when I was a little kid.
"Great hotel"
Just a great hotel! We stay in hotels about 50 days a year, and this is one of our favorites.
"Nice touch"
Favorite part was being able to open the sliding glass door in our room and walk outside to our private lounge chair overlooking the grass lawn.
"Valley Ho, overall great."
We had a very pleasant stay. It's in a great location, walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants and good access to downtown and Tempe. It's stylish and cheerful. The only criticisms are: no free wifi...I mean, McDonalds offers free wifi! And, the spa while nice, is a little modest for the very upscale prices.I have used it before and liked […] it, but opted not to after having to stand and wait for my services because the tiny seating area was full. Overall thumbs up but the free wifi and more competitive spa prices would knock it out of the park. Lisez la suite
"Valley Ho Hotel Scottsdale"
Great value and centrally located. Trendy yet retro.
"Nice stay..."
The room was clean. Bathroom was spacious. Hung out in the lobby reading. Loved the stay and would recommend it. Don't pay for valet parking. It is super easy to park yrself.
"Loved this place"
fantastic decor! and Zuna Zuna was the best restaurant. what a great place
"Cool and Classy"
Great location, excellent service, good food, retro style, what's not to like?
"Four star? Try two."
As with the Hotel Indigo just down the street, the Valley Ho was an old Travel Lodge that has been spritzed up, given a new paint job and a few artistic facings, and pawned off as a hipster 4 star hotel. I like the concept, re-purposing old facilities for something better. Unfortunately, the changes appear to have been mostly cosmetic, because underneath […] the glitzy hipster veneer, this old motel still feels cheap, and fails to deliver at even near a 4 star level despite the 4 star price. Bright colors abound, but the basic architecture remains, a perfect analogy for the hotel as a whole. There are doormen (in tennis shoes and shorts), a modern looking wrap-around bar (serving pedestrian fare), and a round swimming pool crowded with lounge chairs (completely empty). My room was brightly painted, looking kitsch, but without the class of even a 3 star establishment. Cheap looking IKEA furniture abounds, but someone forgot to outfit the bathroom with a counter, cabinets or at least shelves for the towels, or even a place to put spare toilet paper (a spare roll was left wedged between the safety railing and the wall -- classy). The bathroom sink did not drain properly. The small outdoor patio was fronted by a 4 foot wall, allowing passing pedestrians to look into the room, and at night I discovered as I walked back to my room (to my dismay) that when the light in a room was on, anyone could see right through the mesh wall and into the room as if no wall existed at all! So much for privacy. The mattress was fine, but it rested on a chintzy looking, well worn platform, fraying at the edges and noticeably dirty, with mismatched legs. The "desk" area, which is just a small corner of a counter, was crowded for some reason by a round table, with mysterious purposes, and outfitted with only one plug, assuming you wanted a light. The air conditioning was noisy, as was the pool filter located just outside my door. The shower was spacious and well lit but outfitted with a cheap, p Lisez la suite
"Excellent Stay"
Every weekend during summer pool parties are at the pool. Nothing to wild and crazy but wait staff is very fast bring drinks and food as well as being very friendly. Hote looks dated on the outside but a complete 180 once you step inside as well as the rooms. Will stay here again
"Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale is a gem"
This hotel was an unexpected find! It has great service, a great vibe, nothing like it and the rooms are amazing. I want to send everyone I know to this place.

"Hotel Valley Ho...WOW!"
The history and feel of this place was great. We felt like we were back in the 50's...one could shut there eyes and see the Rat Pack roaming the grounds. This may very well be my favorite hotel...ever!
"great hotel for couples"
we spent a night there to relax and it was the perfect place.
"Stay-cation"
My girlfriend and I have stayed at the Valley Ho at least 12 times over the past 4-5 years. We both are from Scottsdale and pick the Valley Ho to stay when we want to get away but don't want the expense or take the time to travel to Las Vegas or SoCal. We love the rooms, the pool parties, the accessability to the local bars and restaurants. The staff […] is always very nice and helpful. Lisez la suite

"Really fun, hip hotel"
We scheduled a bachelorette weekend and it was perfect! The service was fantastic at every level and the rooms were comfortable. I would say if you don't like a party atomsphere, stay away from the hotel on Saturdays. The pool becomes a club with loud music playing.
"Fun"
Fun place, close dining, within walking distance. Great adult pool side fun on Saturday's
"great hotel!"
