Tous les hôtels à Londres"Well situated"
We found the staff very helpful. The room was quite small. The lift was very small.
"Requested non smoking got a room with ashtray !"

"Nice Hotel"
Good hotel, room size & bathroom Ok. Good location near Hyde Park The only problem was a poor shower
Really handy location, near to bus and tube stops. Hyde Park just a minute away. Very nice breakfast, lots of choice. Room very comfortable and not a bad size for London.
"Commodore Hotel, Lancaster Gate, London"
The hotel is situated close to the Lancaster Gate station on the Central Line. The surroundings seem calm and nice. The room was more than ok, clean and with a fairly big bathroom. Front desk efficient. The stairs leading up to the room on the first floor, as well as the corridors outside the room was a bit run down.
"Quiet hotel, nice residential neighborhood"
Cool little boutique hotel right next to Hyde Park and Kensington. Cool residential area with small shops, markets, pubs, and lots of food! Short 10 minute walk to Paddington as well.
"commodore hotel"
All the staff we met were llovely and welcoming. Hotel is in a quiet street but close to everything. Rooms clean. We enjoyed our stay

"Commodore hotel, London"
Very tiny individual rooms. I do not think this is a good return for the price this hotel charges for a single room. Location isn't bad, staff is polite, but that's it.
"Internet was not working"
The only negative point I have is, that the Internet was not working in the room this single night.
"Commodore Hotel. Great place"
Had a fantastic couple of nights in this hotel. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Hopefully will go back soo.
"The Commodore - great pied a terre"
great location - short walk from Paddington and just back from the Park. Lovely welcoming lounge and amazingly good cooked breakfast - all with charming service. Don't be put off by the scaffolding outside - they're just freshening the facade up a bit - rooms are a good size and very comfortable. will definitely be staying again when in town

"Commodore Hotel, Lancaster Gate"
There are lots of hotels to chose from in Bayswater but I find the Commodore to be one of the better ones I have stayed in. It is clean and tidy and the staff friendly. The tube at Lancaster Gate is 5 mins and Bayswater even closer, with Hyde Park at the bottom of the road.
"Commodore hotel, Great Location"
Situated in a beautiful Victorian square just 5 mins from Lancaster gate tube, 15 mins walk from Oxford Street and to walk to Oxford street you can walk through Hyde Park instead of along the street. I booked double room but was informed when I checked in that I had been assigned a twin room, this was fine and I think if I had asked I probably would […] have been given a double. Room was smallish but not tiny. Was very clean and had Sky Sports on the TV which was good for updtaes on the rugby world cup (a lot of hotels I've stayed in wouldn't have Sky in the rooms but rather in the bar). The bathroom had a really good and spacious shower in it. the only niggle I would have is that you had to pay for internet access which seems a bit old-fashioned these days but that is only a minor thing. Would definitely return to Commodore Hotel. Lisez la suite
"Small rooms-good location"
The rooms was tiny, but it was right near the tube. Some of the surrounding neighborhood was not so great, youth hostels and crappy apartments, but most of the neighborhood was spectacular. The hotel staff was great and the place was clean and well kept. The hotel is in an old Georgian neighborhood and the inside architectural detail was wonderful.
our only complaint was that we asked to have a taxi for 7am. When it arrived it was a car service that charged twice the normal "taxi" feel.

"Comodore Hotel of London: worst hotel of my life"
it's the first 4 star hotel I have been in that to get to my room on the fourth floor there was no elevator and also when i got to my room it was a mess and the bed was not done and there was no one to make up the room
"Reasonable hotel for reasonable expectations"
The hotel was very clean and in a great part of London. Located in a safe neighborhood near four tube stations and one rail station. However, even for London, it was expensive for what you got. The room was small by even London standards. There were no free perks i.e. no breakfast included, no free in room internet, and no area which had a free to use […] computer. Staff was nice. Very quiet. Would be very hard to be guest there if you had any physical impairment (tight, narrow stairs, tight rooms, small elevator). Lisez la suite
"The Good / The Bad / The Ugly"
The Good: Not a bad location. The tube is a 5 - 10 min. walk depending on how much luggage you are dragging. Easy access to Hyde park. Nice local restos and pubs with free wifi. The Bad: Customer service is so-so. It is an older building so there are creaks everywhere. While usually charming, there were WAY to many creaks and small noises. Enough to […] wake you up sometimes as other people walked around upstairs or in the hallways. The Ugly: There are renovations going on either at the hotel or next door with construction starting at 7:45 AM. You are regularly woken up by the sounds of a power drill or saw. The Ugly oart above may be related to the room we were in. Ie quieter elsewhere in the hotel. Stay away from room 101. Lisez la suite

"Well Located Small London Hotel"
Nicely located near Lancaster Gate Underground Station on the Circle Line (which is direct to Oxford St and St. Pauls), the Commordore is small, but comfortable and affordable. Near Paddington Station and train to Heathrow, close to pubs, restaurants, and convenience stores. For those who like to walk, close to Kensington Gardens, which makes a lovely […] stroll to the Albert Memorial, Royal Albert Hall, and onward to the Victoria and Albert Museum. Wifi and breakfast available but extra. Small refrigerator and safe in room. Stayed here at least three times for several days each time and would definitely stay again, which says a lot. "Commodore Hotel in London"
Generally pleased with hotel and especially its location in Lancaster Gate. I would say though that the external appearance outstrips the internal experience. Room was of a decent size and well presented. We were also fortunate to have a terrace. However, floorboards in our room and the room above were squeaky squeaky. Nor was I too impressed with the […] restaurant. Felt that the one evening we dined there we were (as sole diners) being intrusive and the food was ordinary. Lisez la suite

"Good Value for Location and Comfort"
Not the biggest or best room in the house but great value for a London base. All you need for a Single traveller.
"Too expensive. Rather a 3 star hotel."
No wire less internet access left me with out internet during my hole stay. TV was not working. After calling to the reception they sent someone to check it. The problem was that they had not programmed it. The room was clean but the old blood/dirt on the clean towels really put me off. I had them changed every day and every single towel was stained. […] The staff was ok. The location was the only plus in this hotel. I rather stay in Ritz next time and pay that high cost and know what quality I get then take a chance to try some 4 star hotel that does not hold up to it's star ratings. Lisez la suite
"Commodore Hotel comfortable & well located."
The staff were very frıendly and set up 2 excellent theatre bookıngs. The room, a double, was on the fourth floor and was aıry and confortable. The breakfast was excellent. Thıs hotel ıs located a couple of blocks from Lancaster Gate Tube statıon on the centre lıne. Thıs made travel throughout London very easy. "Almost a great stay."
On day one, everything at the Commodore was as expected or better. For example, I was able to check in early without issue. The room itself was extremely small, but since it was only overnight and just me, I didn't take issue with that. Other things I liked about the room was that toiletries were brand name and wifi was free and easy to use. However, […] two issues the next morning would not make me recommend this hotel or stay again. The shower was ice cold. Second, staff did not respect a 'do not disturb' sign on the door, and walked in when I distinctly asked them not to. Reception apologised for these issues, and said I could have phoned them to request a shower in another room. I did let them know that this was not an option given time restraints. It's a shame because other than this the hotel was comfortable and easy to get to. Lisez la suite
"Commodore hotel Lancaster gate London"
This is an adequate hotel. There are good deals for it on the net. Avoid paying the hotel prices they are far too high. The corridors are so narrow it's ridiculous, the lift is the smallest one I have been. However the room was surprisingly medium in size. The central heating was much too high and the air con didn't work.
"A hidden Gem"
A very clean hotel with quality fittings. Good service. My only gripe was the TV was on the wall and couldn't be turned to watch it from the bed! That apart. What a top hotel.
"Commodore Hotel, London"
Hotel was very quaint, cozy, safe and located in a good neighborhood with convenient tube connections. Rooms and hallways were small but functional. Food at breakfast was a good value and overall the staff was excellent on many levels. This was a good value traveler experience for me with a bit of charm from the very polite staff. My colleague had a […] similar experience and was able to upgrade at a modest fee to a bigger room. Overall we were satisfied with the experience and can reccomend to others. Lisez la suite
"Good Experience"
The room was a single so very small but also was very nice and very modern. The surrounding area is a very nice residential area. Had a meal both nights in the restaurant which was excellent I must say. The staff were extremely pleasant and courteous. Very good experience!
"My new HQ in London"
Nothing pretentious about this authentic hotel close to everything I need in London: Parliament, the clubs, and tube stations.
"very close to kensington gardens"
clean, comfortable- good value for a central london hotel
For 4 star hotel rm so small hardly able to move.Could not open window high wall outside window could not see out very dark room, very hot room
"Don't stay at the Commodore"
We're not very picky, but at the price I was expecting something much better. Our room was underground with a window facing 3 other underground rooms. There was an ice machine nearby that made a loud noise every 30 seconds. Overall not worth the hassle. Stay somewhere else.
"great London hotel for the money"
staff was friendly and accomodating. hotel was clean and well kept in an excellent location very close to paddington. It is not a Hilton by any means but is an excellent hotel for the money
"Great location"
If you are looking for a new hotel then keep looking. The Commodore is a hotel from the 19th century, in other words small and old. The location is great for any sightseeing you want to do. Hyde park, Kennsington garden and Palace are a few minutes walk. The tube station and Paddington station are only minutes walk away. For the money this is a good […] hotel because of the location. I would recommend the Swan Pub just down the street for a pint and a good supper. I think that a 4 star rating is a stretch but using the hotel for a base while sightseeing you can't beat it. Lisez la suite
"love/hate"
It was situated in a nice area (Hyde Park) it was a tad far from the rest of the city, but the 2 block walk to the tubes wasn't bad. If you are from the states and are not accustomed to being on a hard bed, watch out, was like a slab of concrete with sheets on it. All was quaint and the staff was friendly (at least by London terms) but had a great […] time. The morning staff was of help when my cab didn't show up in the morning, but otherwise; they did hail for a radio taxi to get me to the train station asap. Had no problems with the internet and the breakfast was decent. Lisez la suite
"Central London Soe Box"
Having stayed in numerous hotels within the London area including Croydon, my first impression of this hotel was somewhat sceptical. The bedrom I was allotted on arrival was no bigger than a shoebox, there was no room whatsoever in which to relax. The TV was in the wardrobe and not viewable while lying in bed because the wardrobe door obstucted the […] view. The bathroom was abismal, small, towels where located on top of the toliet cistern. The flush did not work, only by accidentally knocking the cisterfn lid did the cistern fill to enable the toilet to flush. We had not had the pleasure of breakfast when the maid knocked on the door to remind us that we had to check out by 11000am. Outside the bedroom new linen and towels where deposited presumably ready to be ensconched as soon as we cecked out. Overall it will be a long time before I even consider returning if ever to the Commordore Hotel. Lisez la suite

"Highly recommended"
The hotel was tidy and the staff accommodating. It is conveniently located a block from The Swan (a wonderful little pub), a London Underground station (Lancaster Gate) and Hyde Park. There was a little difficulty locating the hotel at first due to some construction nearby. Overall, a great stay and we highly recommend it.
"Small but Very Clean Hotel in Great Location"
Everything was excellent but the room was quite small.
