CocoKey Water Resort Hotel and Convention Center - Waterbury

My stay was just okay. Before you book through hotels.com you should know that the water park is NOT included with a nights stay. If you book through hotels.com you will have to pay extra per person to use the water park. The park itself was okay, but definitely geared towards small kids. The room was okay, tub didn't drain, AC didn't work, and TV was […] terrible. Front desk staff was pleasant. Location of the hotel is easy to find, just a few minutes from the highway. We went to CocoKey Water Resort to celebrate my son's birthday. The kids had a blast the adults were able to relax. The service was great and the price was affordable.

Everything was perfect. No complaints. Hotel & room very clean. Flat panel TV. Room service went out of their way to accomodate out tight dinner schedule.

This hotel is not bad. We only stayed one night. But we weren't there for the water park and I think most other people who stayed there came for the attraction. We came back to our hotel late at night and had an issue with out neighbors. The lady who worked the front desk was fantastic! She is the only reason I would recommend this hotel. She apologized […] even though we knew it was not the hotels fault and she swiftly got us a new room. She even gave us breakfast vouchers for the trouble. The room was nice and clean. The beds comfortable. The ladies at the front desk when we checked in and out were not as friendly as the wonderful woman we talked to at night. The breakfast was also pretty good. Lisez la suite

I stayed at this hotel for a conference and won't be returning any time soon. The room looked worn. The towels had stains. There was a wrapper on the bathroom floor at check-in which led me to believe the room had not been properly cleaned. The hair dryer was broken. Customer service wasn't too hot here either. The coffee shop didn't open until 7:30am […] and the girl behind the counter, while pleasant, wasn't well trained. The food that was provided at the event was cheap and tasteless. Not a great stay for the value - I don't recommend this facility unless some major updates happen. Coco Keyes water park looked nice though. Lisez la suite

My experience with the CoCo Keys Holiday Inn had it's ups and downs but overall good experience. I stayed at this hotel 3 years ago before they remodeled and it wasn't a favorable review then. Upon check-in they didn't have the accurate room request. I chose 2 double beds and they had my reservation as 1 King with a pull out couch. They quickly corrected […] the issue as I stood at the desk. Upon arrival at the room, we had a great view from our balcony of the interior of the hotel across from the restaurant. The balcony had a piece of crust from pizza on it which was a slight turn off. We left the hotel for several hours to visit family that evening. When we arrived back at the room late our key cards did not work. We had to go back to the desk to have them reprogram them. They said a cell phone or contact with another card could be the problem. The next day, the breakfast buffet was great. However, there was a piece of hair in one of the fresh fruit bowls on the buffet, which made us decide not to try that. We went to the pool. It was relaxing and clean. The bathrooms/shower area was clean. The hot tub was out of order, which was disappointing. My son had scraped his knee outside while he was playing around and one of the employees went to the front desk and brought us an antiseptic wipe, ointment, and a band aid. We left the hotel for hours to visit with our family again. Arriving late and again the cards were deprogrammed. That time I had made sure they were not near a cell phone or any other card accept for the other key card. They couldn't explain why it happened this time. The next day, the breakfast buffet was wonderful, the fruit was fresh and delicious. We were gone all day and we decided to have them reprogram the cards prior to arriving at the room to save the time. We did not have a chance to experience the Water Park but based on the lines forming at the entrance, I'm sure it was fun. This hotel is a very noisey one. There is a water park in the hotel that caters to young families. That by itself would not be a problem, but the halls and rooms were very loud until at least 11pm. The bathroom also needed to be updated.

Upon check in I waited in a line of 20 for approximately 30 minutes. There was only 1 person working behind the desk. I reserved a room with a King Bed, but @ 4:00, there were none of those rooms clean or available. They offered to get me a room with double beds, so I was tired and agreed. The room was not cleaned, and visibly lived in, called the desk, […] asked me to come all the way down again, and gave me a different room. Room was clean. Ice machine and soda machine broken on floor entire legnth of stay (3 days), room service was acceptable, with exception of day 2, ordered @ 8:30 - never received food or phone call to say they were not bringing it??? Not sure what happened. Breakfast buffet is nice, good quality food. Furnishings very old and outdated, only stocked with 2 towels and 2 washcloths. This is a water park and very busy. Has many children that are usually unsupservised and allowed to just run loose. Final issue was that the housekeeping staff actually leaves an envelope asking for a tip? I have never come accross this in my 20 years of travel. This is ridiculous. I will not stay there again and would not reccommend this to anyone else. Lisez la suite

stayed here for a wedding and it was a lot of fun. The hotel's inside was cool!
