Sheraton Springfield Hotel - Springfield

Nous sommes arrivés un vendredi soir, nous avons attendu 30 min pour l'enregistrement, pour se garer il fallait encore de la patience car pas assez de places pour le nombre de clients !! Et le soir venu (21h passé) une équipe de sport , client de l'hotel s'amusait à communiquer en criant dans les couloirs qui donne sur tous les étages (voir photos) […] ça a duré un certain temps ... Le jour suivant c'était un peu le même genre sauf que là c'était une fête pour enfants qui a duré jusqu'à 00h, la musique à fond dans l'hotel! Cet hotel immense, luxeux ne m'a pas conquise du tout. Asked for 2 double beds, they gave us 1 king size for 4 people. Tried to make the best of it by asking for more blankets and pillows, so someone could sleep in the chair, 3 different times and they never came. Who puts a family of 4 in a room with one bed? seriously! Get a clue people! Too expensive for that kind of lousy service and stupidity.

we paid to park in the garage and found out the garage was full and they would not refund your parking fee.

Room was adequate-bartender at sports lounge coughing up a lung perhaps? check in staff sarcastic and rude...Pool forecast..cloudy with clumps of hair floating around...hot tubs "under construction"? Marriott across the way is better...

We went to a show at mass mutual center,the hotel location was perfect ,one thing is we the self park is a bit expensive.especially when we left no one check to see if we paid the 12.95?

My daughters thought it was a very nice stay :-) thats all that matters. Kind of upset the hot tub wasnt working booo but i did swim with the kids instead..

Nice enough hotel in great location for symphony, but a) pillows were too thick and b) highway noise was not adequately blocked out of roadside room.

Ran out of hot water after a brief time in the shower.

Nice room, very clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and efficient. Bar staff/food was very good value for money and very friendly. I reads the other reviews and really not sure what anyone was complaining about. The hotel is easily accessable right off the highway and located within 2 blocks walking distance from the convention center where we were attending a convention. The hotel was reportedly booked to capacity, but heard no noises at night and had a very comfortable stay. […] Room service was pricey, but you have to expect that when you order. The beds and pills were super comfortable. There is not much to do in the area at night or on the weekend, as it appears to be a business district, but didn't have to bother with car transportation to get to convention center either. Over all experiance was great from the condition of the room to the food served was great. Customer service as far as directing you places was a little week but they did try there best. Would recomend for sort or long stay.

The hvac system in the room made a clicking sound all night. My husband did not sleep much because of it. Also the hot tub was broken.

I found this hotel to be quite nice. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated. The bed was a little soft, but that's just personal preference. We had breakfast delivered to the room in the morning, just by filling out a card we found on the bed. The food was delicious, even if it was a little bit cold. We stayed here for a wedding in Westfield recently. No problems with hotel but was surprised we were charged to park there. Very convenient location from the Highway, and you can walk to most of the big companies in downtown. The area is rather run-down looking - not the fault of the hotel, just a poor economy issue.

WE booked at the last moment for this room, and were surprised to obtain such a great rate for a Sheraton. We know why now - the service was great considering that we arrived just before midnight. However, we were told that the hotel was 'overbooked' and that we had been bumped to the level. That sounded great but we had booked for 2 beds as we were […] a family of 8. Trouble was, we had only 1 bed in each room - king sized mind you. So they sent us up a single cot bed for each room - which was good, but we still had one family member in each room ending up on the chair for the night. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were surprised that the restaurant stopped serving breakfast at 10am. That was tough since we came in from the west coast. We ended up ordering room service. The following day we ate at the restaurant. Food was good but very slow service.

There aren't many options in Downtown Springfield. While the rooms were nice, and parking is cheap you could hear a lot of outside noise. Since there aren't other hotels in the area (other than the mariott across the street) the Sheraton is the way to go.

Upon entering the lobby, I was greeted by some of the most friendly front desk clerks I've ever encountered. The woman who helped me was very patient, and accommodating. I realized I had forgotten my credit card, and began to panic, but she calmly explained she would accept a small cash deposit instead for incidentals. I was quite relieved, and checked […] in to my room within minutes. The halls and elevators were nothing less than pristine, but barely prepared me for the room I was about to enter. The first thing I notice in a hotel room is the odor. This one had none. No musky smell, no excessive use of scented products to mask an unpleasant previous guest, just completely neutral. The bathroom was immaculate, not a streaked mirror, not a speck of dust on the gorgeous granite counters, and the towels were even fluffy and without a stain! The bedroom was quite a sight as well. I felt like I was in a hotel room I've only seen in the movies. The large dark furniture was the perfect size, and didn't overtake the room. Beautiful paintings and photos framed in polished chrome graced the walls which were tapered in a textured mock cuordoroy. The rest of the lines were sharp and modern, but in neutral colors to prevent a harsh appearance. The final details were soft orange colored lamps, and a quite comfortable queen Anne style chair, and the view overlooking Springfield's beautiful bridge over the CT river. Finally the bed. Soft yet firm, smooth clean sheets, I was asleep in minutes. I would have never expected to find this place in Springfield, MA. Please got to this hotel, for what it offers, I doubt there's anything better around! Lisez la suite

I'm not one to complain about hotels; I travel on business a lot and I stay in an Econo Lodge or Super 8 if the budget is low. But this time there was a little extra money so I decided to book the Sheraton. Should be top quality, right? Not really. The men at the front desk were very nice and courteous, however I asked them to simply have some toothpaste […] sent up to my room and it never came. The phone in the room didn't work to call down and remind them. There were no bathrobes in the room. (isn't that a Standard for the Sheraton chain?) The phone in the hallway didn't work when the elevator left us stranded on the 9th floor for 10 minutes. We had to walk down 9 flights with all our luggage. Will not stay here again. Lisez la suite

I was disappointed because it was not like a Sheraton.

A good Sheraton, close to everything. It is right on the highway, however, so request a room that faces away from I-91.

No problem with the hotel but the downtown area of Springfield reminded me of an old western ghost town. Might be different during the weekdays but the business people must flock out of there after work. Downtown Springfield might be historic but has no charm or life! The evening club/bar scene was happening if your under 30.

Conveniently located right off I-91. Clean, spacious rooms. The hotel's underground parking garage was often at or near capacity during our weekend stay. At one point, we had to use the overflow lot across the street. Since the hotel's surroundings are deserted at night, walking back to the hotel is a bit uncomfortable. The hotel has a layout with […] a big indoor atrium. We found that noise can echo in the atrium. Thus, we were disturbed a couple of times by noise from partying guests late at night, and from children and even the hotel's cleaning maids in the morning. On the other hand, outside noise (e.g., traffic) is blocked well. The bathroom could have used a renovation: The sink was cracked, and one of the faucets had lost its handle. Great place. Room service could be more attentive and accurate.

I would highly recommend and will definately stay there again. Clean, new room, great view and very accomodating on the phone to help us get on to the internet. I call several times! I'm very picky about hotels, my two favorite sare the Sheratons and Marriotts!

We stayed at this hotel on a recent trip to Six Flags NE. We chose the hotel on price and location. Overall our stay was nice but could have been improved. The hotel is located in a business block with a sign that is somewhat hard to see or find so we missed it driving through town the first time. Once we found it and pulled in, we were able to check […] in two hours early and took our bags up. The was well appointed with nice decor and furniture. We had one of the recently updated rooms and found that the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was nice with marble vanity and strong shower. We had two issues with the room. First was that one of the windows wasn't sealed well so we could hear the highway outside as a kind of white noise all of the time. Temperature wasn't an issue but it was a little louder than I would have liked. Second, our room was directly across from the elevator bank so early the next morning we could hear the "ding" of arriving elevators and the sound of conversations near our door. We didn't spend any significant time in Springfield so I can't offer much of an opinion on the neighborhood except that when we asked the front desk where we could get dinner besides in the restaurant in the hotel, the only real option was an Italian restaurant down the street. The food there was excellent but we would have liked some other choices. The hotel's location for ease of access is quite good. It is situated directly across from the Memorial Bridge and near the Basketball Hall of Fame next to I-91. It looked like there were some museums and a park nearby too but we didn't stay long enough to explore around the city. Lisez la suite

We stayed for a night at the Springfield Sheraton while we attended a lacrosse tournament in Amherst. Though it was a 30 minute ride, the hotel was very close to route 91. At check in we were sent to the 10th floor and the hotel is a very nice open interior triangular design. You can see from the roof down to the 2nd floor. The room was well appointed […] with 2 queen sized beds, a desk, a side chair, a bureau, and a TV. The TV was an older tube TV, and we were missing an alarm clock. Strangely, the A/C leaked and soaked the carpet in the corner of the room. I believe that was a freak occurrence. The underground garage was very tight and they charged us 9.99 to park. Based on the area, I think that was a bit surprise and not a pleasant one. Though I would prefer to be closer to Amherst next year, I would stay at the Sheraton again. Lisez la suite

The hotel location is great. Right in downtown Springfiled. You can get on an off 91 without a problem. The room was clean and bright. Got the two beds I asked for, especially since we had two kids. The deks helped us find a restaurant and even printed directions to it for us. Couldn't ask for more. Checkin and Checkout was simple, so was the parking, […] just swipe your room key. Awesome. Check in was very quick and the staff was helpful. Parking is in a garage, but they allow you to park in the "no parking zone" bring your bags to your room and then move your car to the garage ($9.00 per night). The garage is very tight and fills up. If thats the case you need to park in a seconday garage across the street. Rooms were clean and comfortable. […] TVs are outdated but the rest of the room is what you would expect from a Sheraton. The indoor pool is okay, however the tile floors get very slippery....I saw 3 people fall including my daughter. The pool area is also VERY noisy and a long walk from the rooms. This is clearly a hotel designed for conventions as evident by the extensive meeting space and spread out feeling of the property. The atrium goes up 12 floors and changes colors which is something the kids enjoyed seeing. Close to Basketball HoF and Six Flags. Lisez la suite

Hotel is nice and a good value. Only disappointment was that the hot tubs were not open.

Our stay at the Sheraton went very well, from the fresh smelling room which was quite roomy even with two full size beds in it. The hotel was within walking distance to our function, at the Massmutual Center. The staff at the Sheraton-Springfield, were very helpful and the cleaning staff always left the room neat and tidy.

We stayed at this hotel for my son's graduation from UMass. The hotel is halfway between the school and Bradley International Airport. Unfortunately, the hotel has no shuttle service to the airport. Also, we reserved this room for 3 people, but they gave us a room with only 1 bed. When we asked to switch rooms, they initially said we had to come back […] to the lobby desk, but when we got there, they said the best they could do was to give us a complimentary cot. I went to the hotel the night before our Cheering Competition..i have no complaints about location, it was perfect, BUT...i could hear everything that was going on in the other rooms..outside the room even in the main lobby...the noise carried up. At one point after midnight, my neighbors decided to take a shower and the water was so loud through the […] walls it scared me awake. With that being said, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was delivered on time and we had no trouble getting to competition. The only other issue we had was parking. We had to drive around at least 10 times waiting for someone to pull out of the parking garage after the attendant told us there was space. all in all, it was fine for what we needed. Lisez la suite

The rooms had a funny smell like too much disinfectant but seemed clean and were comfortable. Poor service in the sports bar one night but had a great experience in the steakhouse. We chose to stay at this hotel during a recent visit to the Big E. The location was perfect; it was easy to get to and had safe off-street parking. Our check in and check out process was quick and easy. The room was really nice, very clean & comfortable. There was no noise from the other guests. Hotel personnel was friendly & helpful. We used the pool […] & jacuzzi, all areas there and in the extensive health club were clean and modern. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone - couples or families. Lisez la suite
