Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town - Albuquerque

Noisy fri-Monday with security having to stay on floors.

The room was very clean, and it was a nice hotel, but not near as romantic or centrally located as I expected. It was kind of old, but overall it was a nice place to stay.

As others have written, the hotel isn't much to look at from outside but the inside is really nice. The rooms were good size, very comfortable and nicely furnished. And the location, right next to Old Town Plaza, was perfect! The only negative we had was the noisy air conditioner in the room. We asked for a new room because the first one was so noisy […] when it turned on and off, we thought we would never be able to sleep! Supposedly we got a new room with a new unit, but it was still noisy but bearable. Overall, due to location and the comfort of the room, we would probably stay here again if in the area. Very nice hotel . Ordered room service , too tired to take advantage of the restaurant in the hotel. The food was good, fresh and delivered hot and quickly.

We stayed last minute late at night, it was a very quick and easy check in. Hotel was very clean and maintained.

Very beautiful, cheap for this type of hotel, close to all the old town sights and can drive to the other locations. Great restaurant with good service. We liked it so much that we booked a second night. Only negative thing was the lack of hot bath water. Hot water for 1 minute and then mild, almost cool water.

We stopped here on the way back from a long road trip; after a day of driving we arrived later than expected, so opted for a quick shower and room service. I had read a lot of really nit-picky reviews of this place before our stay, and was expecting to find a hotel that was resting on its "laurels" of excellent location. But I didn't find this to be the case at all - it was actually a really professionally staffed, great hotel. I work in the top-rated hotel within my (small) state, and it occurred to me […] that these workers must have had to watch the same kind of "customer is always right" videos that my co-workers and I periodically have to watch, because every person I interacted with was really friendly and pro-actively customer-service oriented. I was not expecting to find that, at all, being used to generally surly hotel workers outside of where I work. To address one of the things I'd read: the walls are not thin at all. But the doors, like most hotels, are. So if there's loudness in the hallway, you're probably going to hear it. The maids on my floor started their rounds at 8:30am, which was fine by me. But I couldn't hear my neighbors at all - in fact, my husband and I were returning from the hot tub (which was nicer than I was expecting), and as we passed our neighbor's door, heard a screaming baby through the door. And I rolled my eyes at my husband like "Great - this is what we have to deal with all night". But we did not hear a PEEP of that family through the walls. Not a peep. Only when the family was passing by in the hall did we hear them at all. Regarding the spa, there was a bad dust storm in Abq our first day there, and as soon as the wind stopped, hubby and I headed straight for that outdoor hot tub. As can be expected, there was some sediment from the dust storm in the hot tub. The next day, we went to the hot tub again, and to my great surprise it was spotless. It had been completely cleaned that day. They were really on point with that. The only complaint I'd read that did ring true was that the heater is loud when it comes on. we made a reservation on line. The check in was easy and staff very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located to old town. We enjoyed our stay.

The beds in this hotel were among the most comfortable I have experienced.

It's located next to old town, only a 5 minute walk.It's also close to the I 25 and I 40 intersection which makes it easy to get anywhere. Did I say there was plenty of close in parking. It's a good deal.

I will definetly return it was extremely nice, and comfortable the staff was extremely nice, polite and helpfull... My overall experience was excellent wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel....

The hotel was nice and in a good location right off of 1-40 but it wasn't what I expected. It said it was the #2 most Romantic hotel. It was between this hotel and Hotel Andulez and I wish we would have went with the other one since it was right downtown and probably more our style. I first walked in the room and thought wow this is really small. The […] bathroom was tiny (ours at home is better which you don't usually expect from a hotel). You think a hotel is supposed to be a vacation away from home, nicer bed, bigger bathroom, something....not this place. Yes it said it had Direct TV but the best movie channel was in Spanish it was an old 1990 TV with HD channels and no HDTV. He had coffee the first night and they didn't restock it or our toliet paper. The heater was LOUD and cold air came in on the floor by the window so we had to blast the heat at 75 just to stay warm. The carpet could have stand to be cleaned. We were supposed to get an in room massage but I had to cancell because there wasn't enough room for me and my husband plus the massage tables...didn't know you had to book a suite for that. I was disappointed. No refrigerator or microwave. OH and you better hope you get there early for parking. There a dirt lot you might have to park in or on the street! And it's not a protected parking lot. The view from the window was nice and the hotel staff was nice....that's about it.... Lisez la suite

I would avoid the restaurant. The food was horrible, but the atmosphere and staff were great.

I stayed here on my way back through Albuquerque after camping for a week. While it was not as charming and beautiful as the Hotel Andaluz, where I stayed on my way out of town, the service staff was super friendly and helpful in all areas - at reception, in the restaurant and the cleaning staff. The bed was super comfortable and the linens were comfy […] too. Had a great view of the mountains and was lucky enough see the balloons take off from west side of town in early morning - what a treat! It was great to be so close to restaurants and old town shops for nice strolls. Also, they make it easy to bring drinks from bar to hotel room. You can't buy alcohol anywhere within easy walking distance to the hotel due to proximity to school and church. Lisez la suite

We decided to have an adult night out and hit the Q-Bar (hotel's nightclub). Found a great deal on hotel.com and decided to spend the night. Check in was easy, and Max was very friendly during check-in process. Room was larger than expected, bed was very comfortable, ordered room service late with special request that was filled. Very comfortable place to stay. Staff was friendly & polite. I was in town to do a presentation in the morning but the time was changed to 2 pm. The desk clerk allowed me to stay past my check-out time. Thanks.

We were there Christmas eve and Christmas day. It was so convenient to Old Town, so we were able to walk to all the festivities. From check in to check out, the staff was helpful and friendly. The room was clean and very nice. We would definitely stay here again.

no shuttle service at all. staff was not that helpful. the bar shut down early which was weird because it was a holiday weekend.

the walls and the floor of our 11th story room were freezing. it was almost impossible to heat the room. it took us about five minutes (really) to get hot water running in the sink.

In a word, I was very pleased. Everyone seemed anxious to help whenever the occasion arose. It was very convenient to the tourist sights, although I did not take advantage of them. Should I return, I will certainly visit the touristic places. And I will stay at the Hotel Albuquerque. Lastly, I was particularly impressed with the Plazuela restaurant, […] the food and the staff. This is one of the more comfortable hotel rooms I've stayed in as of late. . . . loved the mini-fridge, which was just what we needed. Very spacious room, with attractive and comfortable furniture. It was nice to be able to walk to old town but be equally close to the freeway and other destinations.

In addition to all the obvious things -- the STAFF was incredibly friendly and helpful.

The location, the ambience of the public spaces, and the friendly hotel staff are the reasons we will return to this hotel when we are next in Albuquerque. Handyman service was prompt and competent. Wish we could have opened our window.

Nice hotel with great Old Town loaction but weekend weddings make parking virtually impossible and create crowd and noise problems. Hotel needs dedicated registration parking. A good choice Sunday through Thursday

Whenever I travel to Albuquerque, I always stay at this amazing hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Be aware that the Q-Bar is not open on Sunday and Monday. Other than that, this hotel is perfect.

This is a very pretty hotel with very nice rooms in a great location. We were able to walk to many museums and other attractions. Many of the parking lots got full on Friday night when there were several special events at the hotel and the bar was very full, but we found a spot in the supplemental lot, and there were no noise. What a wonderful hotel in the Old Town section. Just walk out the door and you are in Old Town with its quaint shops and lovely restraunts. The hotel is perfect for your visit to this beautiful city in New Mexico.

Not a walking city. If your into a small tourist shopping area then this is your hotel. Couple of museums close by as well. Wireless internet signal very weak. Hallways depressing. No safe in room. Pool closes at 10:00. Otherwise an ok hotel. Nob Hill area might be a better choice if your looking for hip shopping and nice restaurants.

The location of this hotel is perfect for seeing the Historic sites and Museums of ABQ. The hotel is wonderful. The staff was wonderful and most helpful during our stay. We especially found our waiter, Leo to be very helpful in suggesting plans for our touring days. We would stay at the hotel and will gladly tell friends planning a trip to stay at is […] hotel. We enjoyed our stay at Hotel ABQ. The hotel was very nice and clean and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and hot but and went to the Cafe for breakfast. The food was great but the portions were huge - even the kid's meals! We couldn't eat it all. The only caveat we have is that this hotel has a lot of large events and conferences. Our […] balcony overlooked the courtyard and we could hear people enjoying themselves late into the night. If you are a light sleeper you may want a room overlooking the parking lot instead. I really enjoyed the great location near Old Town, and the staff were fabulous. Make sure you spend time in the patio/pool area -- very comfortable and peaceful! Many restaurants within easy walking distance.

Beautiful Hotel walking distance to Old Town. Absolutely loved the bed- very soft and comfy. very pleasant staff. Was very easy to get a room with balcony facing courtyard and old town. Fantastic view of mountains! Will stay there the next time we are in Albuquerque.

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel, so close to the old town, not far from the airport. Rooms are very comfortable, there is free parking and a very pleasant garden. We returned to this hotel when we needed an extra night in Albuquerque.
