Hotel à deux pas de la plage. Chambre très agréable, avec cuisine et soin repas, grande salle de bain et belle chambre. Dommage que le wifi soit payant. Cet hotel possède un excellent rapport prix/prestations/emplacement.

Une jolie chambre simple, design, avec un poisson dans son bocal, un patio, des meubles pratiques (table à repasser, nombreuses serviettes). Le matelas n'était pas super confort, et attention hôtel bruyant (ils jouent au bingo au bord de la piscine jusqu'à minuit, pour les couche-tôts c'est pas l'idéal). Mais on se gare facilement dans les environs, même si le quartier n'est pas très intéressant (en voiture c'est pas très grave). Mais à 20 euros de plus qu'un motel traditionnel c'est quand même une belle affaire, et un lieu assez unique.

La "chambre" est en fait une vraie suite qui comporte un séjour, une cuisine équipée, un bar-table, un coin bureau, une chambre à coucher et une grande salle de bain. Le lit est un king size super confortable. Il y a aussi un balcon où on peut prendre un thé tranquillement. Le seul hic de la chambre, c'est que le bruit de la climatisation est incroyablement fort! Heureusement, on arrive en avril, pas besoin d'allumer la clim tout le temps. À propos du petit déjeuner, le choix est satisfaisant (il y a même du riz et des nouilles instantanés!), mais le service "œuf fait sur place" est disponible seulement dans la semaine.

Inadmissible de servir le petit-déjeuner dans de la vaisselle jetable : cela donne un goût éxécrable aux aliments et c'est 1 gaspillage énorme totalement anti-écologique et l'endroit est totalement déhumanisé
"Empress La Jolla"
Overall great hotel. Nice decor, good location. Note not all rooms have bath tubs which made it challenging to bathe our toddler. Workout room is small but functional.

We loved this hotel. The front desk staff, waiters, valets, and everyone else were extremely friendly and helpful in every way. The location was very convenient to everywhere we wanted to go. The bed was awesome. The food in the Manhattan restaurant on site was exceptional and the piano singers were great.

THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY, KNOWLEDGABLE, AND VERY HELPFUL. THE LOCATION IS JUST A FEW BLOCKS FROM THE BEACH. IMMEDIATELY SURROUNDING THE HOTEL ARE A LARGE VARIETY OF EXCELLENT RESTAURANTS. THE EXERCISE ROOM IS VERY WELL EQUIPPED. THE RESTAURANT / PIANO BAR IS VERY NICE.

"Nice hotel in great location"
Lovely hotel. Comfortable rooms w/ remodeled bathrooms. Loved the bath amenities and the bedding. Friendly helpful staff, especially Ben at front desk. Convienient complimentary continental breakfast in the mornings. Walking distance to all things worth doing in La Jolla.
Very conveniently located small, boutique hotel. Room was on the small size but bathroom had a granite vanity and new glass shower enclosure. Decor is traditional and could be updated but was not substandard in any way. Excellent LG TV. My room on the 5th floor was quiet. Continental Breakfast was good. "Comfortable Stay in La Jolla"
This hotel seems older but is still very comfortable. Our room was on the first floor just past the lobby, and we were worried that we would get noise from the street just outside our window. However, the streets are quiet and the curtains can black out your room at any time of day. The location is great for a walk to the coast or around town for the […] little shops and restaurants. But if you want a sandy beach, be expecting a drive of 5 to 10 minutes to get you there. The coast near the hotel is rocky and great for viewing wildlife, but not swimming or sun bathing. Finding parking on the streets is not that difficult, and there are parking garages less than a block from the hotel or valet parking @ the hotel for a little more. We were fine for 4 days finding parking spots on the street for free. The free breakfast at the hotel was better than average - especially for a complimentary breakfast. I stay at this hotel whenever I am in La Jolla. It is elegant, comfortable and reasonably priced.

It was pretty nice hotel and quiet part of town. The free breakfast was better than regular continental breakfast. Comes with waffles (not frozen one), yogurt, hard boiled eggs Etc. We normally stay at hotel with ocean view, however it's more expensive than Hawaii. So we chose this hotel even without the view it was walking distance to most of sights. "An excellent boutique hotel"
A great stay! This is a boutique type hotel. The staff was very accommodating. The room was nice. The bed excellent. The high speed internet was incredibly fast.

"Empress"
Normally have good experience at the Empress, this time was the exception. I was put in the handicapped room on first floor near elevators and conf. room. Room was also street level, so a sidewalk away from parked cars and their alarms. It's a good thing this stay was a short one, or I would have been turned from ever staying at the Empress again.

Fantastic location! A little disapointed in the size of the room and the dated decor. Other than that, I would recommend this hotel for the price and friendlyness of the staff.

A very nice place to stay that would have been even nicer if it had been about 25% cheaper. Also, there is really no long term parking nearby, so you'll have to leave your car in their garage (valet parking only) for $13 a day.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Staff were amazing especially when our flight was delayed and we didn't get in until 2 am. We called ahead - everything was ready and waiting for us. Service was great, location great, room clean and comfortable. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay.
"Need Improvement"
The internet connection was very spotty. As a business traveler I rely on wireless access. I had to call two separate times to tech services, but it didn't resolve the spotty connection. I would not come back to this hotel for that reason. For vacation, maybe.

"Great location"
Coming from Europe, we especially enjoyed the good location that made it possible to walk around town easily. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean - a little small for American standards maybe.

Almost everything at this hotel worked smoothly, except we never woke up in time for breakfast. It is close enough to the beach that we could walk, but it was a few blocks. If I needed a decent room to stay in while visiting La Jolla and if the prices are still reasonable, then I'd definitely come back. Summer was particularly helpful in getting us […] dinner reservations. The one complaint is that their valet service is awkward. "NICE"
We came in for a wedding and the hotel was perfect, only a block and a half from the reception site. Everything was great from check in to check out. We really enjoyed the self-service breakfast on the terrace. And for having 3 wedding parties staying in the hotel at the same time - the potential for noise level was pretty high but we were never disturbed. […] We didn't valet park and never had a problem finding parking on the street. Lots of good places to eat nearby and a 5 minute walk to the coastal walk. It was awesome!! Lisez la suite

フロント、ロビー周りが非常におしゃれなインテリアでした。ウェルカムドリンクのオレンジの入ったウォータもきれい。駐車場がバレーパーキングしかないのは、ちょっと残念でした。
