"Too expensive for what you get."
For the money we paid for one night, we got no help with our luggage and there was no valet parking. Not to mention when we checked in they asked if we would be parking in the garage, we said yes and they said ok. Not once were we told that we would be charged extra for parking. I wouldn't have reviewed this hotel except for the fact that later in our […] trip we stayed at a very nice hotel in Manhattan for less money, and they had a valet to park our car, a bell hop to help us with luggage, and they told us upfront how much parking would be. If you're going to Philly, I would stay at another hotel. Lisez la suite
great location for the penn relays
"Not worth the price"
I was completely aggravated within 5 minutes of walking into the lobby. The check-in process (which was paid for beforehand) took 15 minutes. Then I went to my room and the newly-coded key didnt open the door. I went back to the front desk to explain the problem. Rather than code a new key, I was told to wait for a security escort to check the door. […] After waiting in the lobby for 20 minutes, the desk radioed security to find out they were waiting upstairs. I went upstairs and after a few tries, we discovered that the key card needed to be inserted twice quickly and jiggled to work. The door knob barely turned. Later on, I discovered that neither of the phones in the room was operating. Dial an extension and get a dial tone. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel in the area. Aside from being within walking distance of my destination, there were no saving graces. Lisez la suite
"Sheretton UPenn"
Solid Hotel for Philladelphia. Service staff could use an attitude adjustment, just not that pleasant and really not customer service minded. Philly usually isn't though.
"Sheraton Hotel University City Philadelphia"
This hotel is an excellent place to stay if you have business in the Drexel U or U ofP area and stay on the VIP floors but the downside is that the garage is an "accident waiting to happen". The driveways are narrow and it is difficult to for two cars to manuever. The original room we were given was musty smelling so we paid extra for an UPGRADE to […] the 19th floor and this room was excellent. So I would recommend this hotel to anyone who does not have a car and is wiling to spend big bucks for the 19th or 20th floor VIP area (with lounge use). Lisez la suite
"Sheraton University City Philadelphia"
Good hotel, but needs to upgrade very noisy air conditioner. I could barely stand to stay in the room when it was running. Very nice neighborhood, and great location for any activity at University of Pennsylvania.
"Excellent location, staff not very helpful"
Well situated, clean, comfortable. You pay for parking and the Internet service is not straightforward , you get a code bla bla bla, a nuisance . The lights went out for a second and I couldn't get their computer to work to retrieve a code. Excellent for business, but not for pleasure

"University Hotel, nice location, a bit expensive"
The hotel was not necessarily bad, but for the price paid was a bit old and dated. Can’t beat the location if you want to be near to the Penn campus, but otherwise the hotels in the city center are a better value and nicer.
Loud place with expensive parking
"Great Hotel - Horrible Staff"
Close to heaps of stuff. Carparking is expensive so we parked down the street. Front desk staff were atrocious. We just did not want to have anything to do with them Maintenace was hopeless too. Internet in room didnt work But the hotel itself is really good
"Sheraton University City"
Thank you very much for making my stay at your hotel a great experience for myself and my wedding party. Everything went very smooth, no problems at all. My room was very nice and made a very nice place to prepare for my wedding the same day. Thank you again.
"Sheraton University City, Philadelphia"
Great accomodation given to us by manager regarding late check out. We were there for a procedure at CHOP and had no idea if we could make it back to the hotel to check out on time. I loved Sankee being their restaurant - I'm a lover of Chinese food. Great idea! The only complaint we have was we never got to use the complimentary wi-fi because, it was […] sooooo slow. It didn't matter if we used the hotel's or our own computer, we couldn't get online at all. Lisez la suite

"USMLE - Perfect Score"
I chose this hotel as I was visiting Philadelphia for my USMLE Step2 Clinical Skills. This hotel was perfect. You get the train from the airport to the University City district ($7). Then its 10min walk to the hotel from the station, through a safe well lit area in the heart of University of Philadelphia. The hotel is about 1 block (< 1min) walk from […] the testing centre in Market Street, so no problems on exam day. The hotel itself is very modern with cable television and the room is finished to a high standard. The only drawback is that hotel has no dedicated restaurant (though you can order breakfast via room service). There is a Chinese restaurant in the lobby, and there is a starbucks less than a minute away and a pizzareia and supermarket across the road. Overall a great hotel for USMLE Step2 CS or just visiting Philly, good value (if you book early) and a $8 taxi ride away from Liberty Bell or the Museum of Art. Lisez la suite
"Central location"
I stayed due to the proximity to HUP and it was convenient however, I know that parking is at a premium in the city but $25 per night is a bit high and for these prices, I would think a small refrigerator would have been nice.

"Renovations have made a real impact"
For my annual December visit to Philadelphia visiting friends, I always stay at the Society Hill Sheraton. The renovations were still underway but didn't interfere with the rest of the hotel. The new gym is great and the club level lounge is really improved. I asked to but put in a specific room and my request was honored. I also appreciated the option […] of refusing maid service in return for hotel credit. Since I spend so little time in the room the daily cleaning was just not necessary. Lisez la suite

"Close to Children's Hospital"
Our stay at the Sheraton was more than adequate. We didnt visit Philadelphia for pleasure. We needed accomations close to the Children's Hospital, our room was pleasantly appointed, clean and neat. I would recommend this hotel to others if you are visiting the Philadelphia region for any reason.
"The hotel in Philadelphia"

"the sheraton hotel in philadelphia pa"
It was a nice hotel, it was close to what we wanted to do.....id stay here again....the fee for parking was great.....
"Convenient to PENN but poor service and amenities"
This property does not reflect what you would expect from a Sheraton. The location is convenient because other than The Inn, this is the only hotel on the UPENN campus. The property is dated, rooms are not up to current standards and not even cleaned properly. The front desk staff is not welcoming. They just want to check you in and give you the key. […] For about the same price, a Hampton Inn is a lot better with free internet and free breakfast, for which you have to pay extra at Sheraton. In this day and age to pay for Internet access in a hotel is equivalent to paying for electricity usage or water usage. Lisez la suite
"Convenient to UPenn and Step2CS!"
I needed a hotel close to my Step2CS Phili site and this one is literally down the block. The hotel is conveniently located, easy to access from the 30th street station (walking distance) and Amtrak/Megabus/Boltbus drop off site.

"Sheraton Philadelphia University City Hotel"
This was one of the many hotels that I stayed at during my conference trip to USA. In comparison to the other hotels I stayed at, I liked this one the most. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the size of the room wasn't that small. There was adequate room is put our luggage, and walk around. There is a laundry mat available for us to clean […] our clothes, so we didn't have to carry our dirty clothes around. (which also meant we brought less clothes and can do more shopping). The gym was also available for use, and it looks clean, however, during my stay, I didn't have time to use the gym, and the swimming pool was closed (winter). I am also quite pleased with the service they provided us during our stay, and staff members are quite helpful. Lisez la suite

"Sheraton University City Philadelphia"
This is a below average city hotel on campus of Upenn. I have a student at Penn who is now a senior and average 2 stays per year in Philadelphia. I think the hotel is overpriced for what you get especially if you are unlucky enough to need a room during game weekend, parents weekend, moving day or graduation at Upenn. On those occasions they jack up […] the rates even worse than normal and do not allow cancellations w/o forfeiture of credit card deposit. My wife and I stay at this hotel only because of its location at Penn. The only other hotel near campus is Inn at Penn, which is nicer in every way but is even more expensive. If you do not have a need to be near the campus stay in Center City where hotels still are not cheap but at least are in good location and are nicer. If you need to be on Penn Campus its probably better to stay at this hotel so you can walk to campus but be prepared to be disappointed w/ the room, service and price. Lisez la suite

Very nice accomodations. Right at Penn. Easy bus access to Center City. Only complaint is that I couldnt find a decent retaurant or diner to have breakfast at within walking distance. Hotel breakfast was 18 dollars for the same type of buffet that is free at most Hotels.
Perfectly located for our UPenn needs, and close to mass transit to downtown.

"Comfort in the heart of U.Penn"
A very friendly place with comfortable rooms, a decent Asian restaurant and computers in every room. My only knock on the place is that there's no HBO and the wireless signal was a little bit weak, though I was in a room at the very end of the hallway. I will certainly stay there again; it's just so convenient.
"Some of the staff weren't very nice"
Hotel is okay, but there was a little bit of mold on the ceiling above the shower. For this price, there should have been a fridge and micro in every room. I can hardly stand to stay at a hotel that doesn't have a fridge and micro, especially since I stay for a week at a time. The representative who checked me in was NOT friendly at all. Straight face […] the whole time and even when I saw her in the lobby later, she watched everyone walk by with a straight face, almost scowling. I guess i should be understanding that other people have bad days, but after traveling for 12 hours I would like to see someone friendly at the counter. Lisez la suite
