As with most Intercontinental properties, this is a very nice hotel. The staff was helpful and spoke excellent English, the lobby was large and well-appointed, the restaurants were varied and tasty, and both rooms we had were good, although the room in the A wing was notably nicer than the one in the Deluxe wing. The gym has lots of brand new machines, the spa is well-staffed, the heated pool is great for indoor laps, and they serve tea! The nearby Rainbow Street has lots of trendy restaurants at a wide range of price points - try Quds for excellent, incredibly cheap falafel, and Sufra for fine dining in a beautiful setting. I had a great time. Really good restaurants in the neighborhood, a nice walk to the downtown area, and great staff made it very nice. The GM noticed us standing in line to check in and found an employee to help us out right away. The only downside was the ridiculously overpriced taxi stand outside of the hotel. I loved my stay that the Intercontinental Amman. It was very confortable and the indoor swimming pool was amazing. It was clean and world-class. Everybody was nice and helpful and the food was good too.

The staff here really do not have an ounce of professionalism in them. I arrived..I'd paid my full five days upfront but the person I was sharing with was arriving later. I was kept waiting at reception for 1 hour, with noone attempting to resolve the problem or help in any way. After an hour I had to call Expedia on my own phone (costing me £1.75 per […] minute), stayed on the phone for 25 minutes because the person at reception (not Expedia) was being deliberately obstructive and unhelpful and kept wandering off when Expedia wanted to speak to him to make sure the issue had been resolved. Appalling service and no way to treat a client in a supposedly 5 star hotel! The room was nothing special at all. In addition, the outdoor area was closed (not mentioned), when I asked how to get to the 8th floor lounge with city view I was told it was for 'club members' only (fitting with the pretentious theme of the place, and again not mentioned on the website), everything was extortionate (beers cost £7 British), and everything comes with 10% service charge and 20% additional undefined taxes (including room rate so make sure to check that). The thing I disliked the most here was the attitude of the staff. They were arrogant, unhelpful and entirely ungenerous (it wouldn't hurt to make a gesture every now and then and not charge through the nose for absolutely everything! I think that attitude is exacerbated when you are a woman, in particular one without male accompaniment. Beware! Lisez la suite

I travel to Amman once a year or so. i decided to give this hotel a chance and booked a deluxe room with breakfast. The airport transfer was a bit pricey at 50$ for an old toyota camry - i got accustomed to receive some higher end / comfy cars from other hotels at this price. I did arrive early and they let me check in around 11.00 am (this was the […] only positive experience during my stay) - i accepted to go into a room with double beds on the ground floor because i was very tired. i was expecting them to move me into a different room later on. The rooms are quite dated and below 5 star level. There are doors between rooms which i always dread. i was hearing my next door neighbor conversation at midnight. again i was too tired to do anything about it. the next day i asked the hotel to move me twice alas with no help...the staff is not very friendly and kept telling me "inshallah"... in any case, the second night - the noise of the second room was getting so bad i did manage to convince them to swtich me to another room at 1 AM...was told it was an upgrade...nothing more than kingsize bed at a higher floor.. please avoid this hotel. Pool empty and being jet washed! apparently April is out of season. Inside pool and changing rooms smelt mouldy, and could do with a re-furb. Hotel looks amazing and so does the room. The service is terrible though. When we arrived in our room the TV didn't work, maintenance did come fix it within 10 minutes. Our toilet was leaking (typical in the Middle East). It took them 30 minutes to bring up our bags, and only after we called about them. They screwed up our room service order. I found the following problems: 1. the information or signs in the hotel are not very easy to understand. 2. the taxi leaves you inside the hotel, but you have to walk to the main door 3. there are not nobody from the hotel to help with you baggage when you arrive in the taxi. When you enter to the hotel, the thing changes. All is very nice

Although the service at this hotel was excellent, the quality of the hotel was not up to the InterContinental standard. Small wonder, since (as I learned to my chargrin), the InterContintental Hotel Amman is NOT a part of the InterContintal Hotel Group. I only had one issue, i was charged money on my credit card without my knowledge as a security measure by the hotel in case after i leave and they found something broken etc.....i called the hotel after my stay but they […] were not very helpful in telling me why i was charged extra money etc...or reply my email however i called expedia and they were very helpful and provided the needed assistance and i also got my money back since it was only a security measure....besides this small hickup the hotel was great and provide all the good services..cheeers. This is a fine hotel, with excellent food availability. Rooms are spacious but for Maximum of Three Guests. Pool area is well kept and not over crowded, but busy on weekend. Club Upgrade if offered is worth taking especially if booked room only.

The Hotel is excellent with a very courteous and professional staff. The staff is very attentive to their client’s needs and hosts a wide variety of superb shops and restaurants within the Hotel’s complex. The Hotel has an excellent security staff and has one of the better security plans within Amman. I highly recommend this Hotel.

vi hadde oppgitt i bestillingen at vi var 2 voksne og en 12åring som trengte ekstra seng- det tok 3 purringer før vi fikk den ekstra sengen og det var litt vel tregt i og med at vi hadde en lang reisedag bak oss og var interessert i å få lagt oss.. kom tilbake etter 4 dager samme skjedde da, bortsett fra at det tok 2 timer fra første purring til sengen […] ble satt inn ( 2 purringer pr tlf en muntlig ved ankomst) Lisez la suite
