bc plus haut de gamme que normale. Restaurant à Hilton Garden Inn qui est de coté. Nous avons pris une voiture de location à l'aeroport : il fallait 5 minutes pour arriver à l'hôtel. Le prix obtenu de hotels.com était intéressant.

satisfait de cet hotel, emplacement calme, aucun bruit la nuit, très bon accueil, petit déjeuner très correct, je reproche juste au staff de laisser les gens qui sont à la piscine le matin de venir au petit déjeuner tous mouillés et semer la zizanie...

Un cartier qui semble sécuritaire, un lit confortable, stationnement gratuit. Rien de luxueux, balcon commun. Tout ça a 1/3 du prix normal, j'achète.

"Satisfied"
Many of the staff were very helpful, the valets, cleaning staff and front desk services. Thanks very much to them, our questions were answered with curtiously. Check in was an issue. The directions to the elevators and which ones to take to our floor was not explained. The elevators are a bit of a walk. The person checking us in should have taken time […] to explain and made sure we understood. Once you walk out of the lobby and into the atrium there are many pathways to take. "Marriott Detroit RenCen"
We had a room on the 67 floor with a river facing view. It was beautiful. The hotel was quiet and peaceful and very clean.

"Awesome hotel! Okay room..."
The hotel itself is really impressive, I just wish the rooms had the same feel. The style/quality/convenience of the hotel room was very average, less than actually if we compare included amenities.

Why charge $12 for Internet service? I stay in plenty of moderately priced hotels and Internet service is free. Your hotel is too classy to force your guests to pay an additional charge for what should be free.

"Great hotel"
This is a quality property. It would have been great to have been on the river side...but I guess not everyone can be on the river. We were at this room on a very cold night and without the drapes closed the windows seemed to let in a lot of air. The bar at the top of the hotel is the best.

"Super Clean and Comfy - Great value as well"
Great location in downtown Detroit. Easily accessible to all points of interest. Fairly large hotel with rooms on high floors with views of Canada! The cleanliness is superior to many hotels and service very good. It is not tacky or over done. I will definitely stay here again. I really enjoyed my stay.

"Charity Preview Phenomenal Respite"
After attending several North American Auto Show after parties, it was wonderful to come back to our room and gaze over the city, the Detroit River and the Ambassador Bridge. The city lights were amazing. The hotel staff was more than pleasant and extremely helpful. Service was exemplary. Additionally, with the Marriott connected to the Detroit Peoplemover, […] it made navigating the city extremely simple. No need for cabs or cars! Will be back again for sure! Lisez la suite
"Renaissance dissappointing"
Years ago when the "Ren Center" opened, we visited several times and stayed at the hotel. What a booming and festive place! Wow, what change now. So dissapointing. We can definatey cross it off our "bucket list". Marriot was O.K.

The hotel is quite large, so there can be problems navigating. The room had a nice view of the river and Windsor, but the closet was much too small to hang up clothes, and the bathroom did not have enough counter space. The flat screen HDTV was a nice touch. The coffee stand did not have cream or sugar.

Great hotel for a short stay. The restaurant had an exceptional breakfast buffet. It was a little pricey ($21/ person) but the portions were big and the food was outstanding. The Thanksgiving meal was also very good, but portions were disappointingly small. My friend and I ended up getting pizza a couple hours later. We traveled for a game at Ford Field. "Marriott at the Renaissance Center"
Absolutely unbelievable stay at the Marriot on the Wed night before Thanksgiving. I was staying in room 5110 and at 12:45am a fire broke out on the 51st floor. After proceeding down 51 flights of stairs I was appalled to see many children and older people out on the street with no blankets and water while waiting for clearance to reenter the building. […] I stayed in limbo about my possesions and more importantly my passport until 400am. At this time I was allowed to gather my belongings and was assigned a new room. You think for all of our trouble the hotel would comp our room for the night and not a credit being that I live 28 hours away and have no plans to be in Detroit any time soon. The hotel itself was nice but the experience was a disaster therefore I am not recommending the Marriott Lisez la suite

This hotel was amazing. The staff was very friendly and super helpful. This was my first time to the Detroit area and I hadn't heard glowing reviews; however, this trip changed my opinion completely and it all started with the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel was nice but the room was on the floor next to the neon stripe going around the top of the building and keep us up all night long!!!! dont get your room near the 54 level!!
"Not worth the high cost"
I enjoyed every bit of my stay here, but it was definitely not worth the cost. I feel like I paid too much for a room the size of my bedroom. I know it cost more for the convenience of the location, but they really made up for it by room size.

Access to the hotel valet leaves much to be desired. I would imagine many people could be confused with the multiple walkways and floors, there are very few directional maps in the building with regard to positions of stores,bars, restaurants available to the guests. The women at the front desk and all the employees were great.

The stay was very enjoyable. The end to a perfact day. I would like to have stayed longer. Great bed, linens, drinks, view.
Housekeeping mistakingly took clothes from room and it was a mystery game trying to figure this one out. To sum it up I ended up leaving without my shirt after all the promises from the hotel, very unprofessional.

The hotel room was smaller than I expected, reminded me more of a Hampton Inn with nicer bed coverings. The rooms have a forced air HVAC unit that makes a loud whistle noise all night. Also, each time a door in on the same floor was closed, it would vibrate the wall just enough to make the fire alarm in the room ring a little. Stay was excellent not only because it was very clean and the personnel (bellhops, waitresses, etc.) very friendly, but it was central headquarters for the Jazz festival and there were nightly jam sessions in the lobby. Great views of the river and the fireworks.

Great hotel to go to with a nice view, does suck you have to pay for parking, which you should't not have to.

At the cost of this room I was absolutely offended that you had to pay extra if you wanted wifi in your room, tried to use laptop and it came up with fee. I called desk and they said thats extra. I have stayed in holiday inn, ramada,and even howard johnsons for a little money a nite and FREE internet service. For them to charge me a lot of money a nite […] for a room, and by the way NO POOL and then want extra for wifi is an insult and I will NOT be back to that hotel. Lisez la suite

Nothing beats the views from the tallest building in Detroit. Very fast elevators, courteous and friendly staff, top notch.

Very busy hotel. This particular stay had a lot of younger kids roaming the hotel at all hours. Patrons in the elevator were either drunk or high. If I wasn't on the 53rd floor I would have taken the stairs. Card readers in the elevators can get tricky at times. Other than that, the hotel is a great location. Use hotels.com to get a discounted rate. […] Rooms are clean and room service is always on time. I suggest using room service versus standing in line for breakfast buffet. Same price plus the comfort of your room. Just note, if you use your debit card to check in, they will deduct $25 from your card. Takes a couple weeks for them to return the $25. What I would have done different: Requested a room away from the elevators, waited a couple different times to get into the elevator. We have stayed at this hotel numerous times and this was the first time we had a complaint. It was a busy summer weekend! Lisez la suite
We were told by the lady that booked the room for us from Hotels.com that we were getting a hot tub room. When we got there we were told that there was no hot tub rooms in the whole hotel. So then I felt like we were over charged for a room.
I have no complaints other than there were no fridges available for the rooms. Considering I stayed during a very busy weekend, the staff of the hotel were well prepared and handled it flawlessly. If I come during Memorial weekend again, I'll be staying at the Marriot at Hart Plaza for sure.
