"Marriott Springfield, Ma, right off Interstate 91"
The in house dining was surprisingly delicious for hotel food. The staff was friendly and helpful. This hotel definitely will be used again by us the next time we are in Springfield, MA.

Last year, the Currents restaurant was still recovering from a surge of symphony attendees, and service was glacial. This year, the restaurant was quickly ready to serve us. The food was excellent.

"Stayed for a wedding"
Attended a wedding on the 6th floor ballroom. Checkin was a breeze, then had to go park the car, again pretty easy. (We paid for parking since we were overnight guests, others received a validation ticket at the event). The guestroom was very spacious and very comfrotable. Since we had prepaid through hotels.com, we left our room keys in the room when […] we left, didn't realize we needed the key to swipe to get out of the garage...but security sent someone pretty quickly to let us out. The hotel is on the edge of town, right next to the highway but on the 11th floor it was pretty quiet! Would definitely stay again and if you are attending the wedding it is worth the price to spend the night. Lisez la suite

I recently stayed at the Marriott in Springfield with my 85 year old father and 8 year old nephew. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. The restaraunt and room service were very good and the rooms were well maintained and clean.

I stayed 1 night in this hotel and can say it was a much better option than the Sheraton in Springfield. It was a quiet room with a a quiet hallway and I was lucky enough to get a room with a view of the Memorial bridge. My stay at the Sheraton in Springfield a few months earlier was miserable as it was obviously a party hotel - they initially put me […] on the same floor as their restaurants/bars. Then they placed me on another floor where guests were obviously smoking and getting rowdy in their rooms. Service at the Marriott was pleasant and helpful. We ordered breakfast for very early in the morning - which arrived promptly and the gentleman who arrived kindly let me know all was already covered in my bill - which I appreciated. Later, my son happened to be playing with the phone in the morning and a detective immediately came to our room to investigate - though I was initially alarmed - it was quite reassuring to know they care about their guests to check up in them. My only issue was the bathroom which was a very small space consisting of a commode and old-feeling shower. I am used to and enjoy spa like bathrooms in hotels and this was nothing like that - I wanted to spend as little time as possible in that bathroom. Lisez la suite

"Room fine except AC broken on a 90 degree day!"
I complained when I entered the room and the AC didn't seem to be working. I got the "wait a while and it will get better." I called again, "we'll send the engineer up." I called again, "the engineer is working in the basement on the AC but will come up afterwards." I went to the front desk, "Oh really? Your AC isn't working? We'll call the engineer." […] Later, it worked for about an hour and then in the middle of the night it stopped working again. The next morning I complained again, "oh, well I'll tell the engineer." I found out that all the rooms on that floor had the same problem -- any comps or apologies? Nope. The hotel was completely empty (in a spooky kind of way) and yet they made no offer to move me to another room or to discount my stay. The bartender acted like I was crazy when I asked him to turn down the sports TV (this was in the NICE bar, not the sports bar) as it was in direct conflict with the nice jazz music that was blaring. There were two patrons in the bar at the time -- me and a guy sitting at the bar. He asked the other patron if he was watching the sports before he would turn it down! I probably wouldn't stay there again. Perhaps because they had so few guests they thought it was okay to provide poor service. I am very tolerant as I travel often but this time, I didn't see Marriott service. Lisez la suite
Very nice hotel. We enjoyed the quiet 7th floor room. I thought internet charge $ 12/day was excessive and thought WIFI should be included with room..

I went on Hotel.com an placed my reservation. This was for a corporate event at the hotel. When asked about the corporate discount upon my arrival I was told we didn't qualify because we reserved online. I requested a King Bed and got 2 double beds. "A happy two days in Springfield"
The front desk staff were extremely helpful when we checked in. We asked for help with a luggage cart, and someone quickly assisted us. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. At checkout, the staff quickly corrected a small error on the bill (there was a charge for a local call, even though we had already purchased the "business internet" […] option, which included free local phone calls). "Total rip off - beware the hidden charges"
This is what we were told upon check-in to the hotel: 1) The cost for Internet access was double-digits per day. In this day and age, almost every hotel has free Wifi... The “daily” charge is from 12pm to 12pm. So, if you purchase access at 11am, you will only get 1 hour before you have to re-purchase. 2) Parking cost was double-digits per day. Parking […] at other hotels I’ve stayed at in the area was free. The room: 1) The room was generally clean, but the sheets had some unknown schmutz on them. The bathroom was tiny and you had to step out of the shower onto the toilet. 2) The heat. A setting of anything below 80 degrees, the heater blasts cold air and at 80 degrees, it pumps continuous hot air (and the windows are un-openable). 3) TV. Alas, there was no guide as to what channels are what, what’s on when, and the television scrolls a channel about once every minute. Also, the only premium channel available was one channel of HBO (the other had horizontal lines all across it). Save your money and stay at a slightly cheaper hotel. Lisez la suite

"Springfield Marriot"
Very comfortable room. Very comfortable bed. We stayed there after the Aaron Lewis benefit concert in North Hampton Mass. They charge an extra 14 dollars for parking but we knew that going in so it was no big deal. We liked going straight from the garage to the elevator to the room, no walking through the lobby.

"Marriott - good choice in Springfield"
Nice high tower with river views. Bed was very comfortable - mix of down and poly pillows helped. Drawback was extra fee for Internet..I think it is expected that WiFi/cabled Internet is part of a room nowadays, especially at business class hotels.

The hotel is older so the walls were very thin and we couldn't sleep. Also we were a little surprised that the downtown area seemed unsafe and we did not see any police. The staff was exceptional but they couldn't control the insulation issues. The hotel needs an overhaul.

The only complaint I had was that many of the hotel rooms face the street, which being right near the bridge an I-91, is very noisy, especially at night. Overall though, this a great hotel. I have to be back in the area in early December, and I've already booked my stay again!

The only complaint I have with the hotel was when you arrive there is not much space to park your car to run in to register. If we had known to go park on level C of the garage and then take the elevator to the lobby to check in, it would not have been such a big deal. I felt good about the stay until I realized they charged you $14.00 to park. Hotel was well located to the Basketball Hall of Fame, which is what we wanted to see. We looked for a breakfast place ouside the hotel on Sun. and they were very few to be found. In fact, the area was run down and with few restaurants. Was disappointed we needed to pay for car parking, wasn't aware of that before the check-in.

"Staff was fantastic and the hotel is nice."
We stayed at this hotel when they were sold out for a sports tournament in the area. The staff was fantastic. We lost my daughter's beloved stuffed animal and the staff went above and beyond their job to find it. The hotel was well-staffed with lots of employees who were polite, helpful and customer-service oriented. The hotel is all smoke-free which […] is great. The only down-side was that we got a handicap-accessible king (small room because of the bigger bathroom) instead of the two double beds we had requested. Lisez la suite
