La Quinta Inn is our stay of choice. Never an unpleasant surprise.

The hotel was great, nice pool, friendly staff, comfy bed.... only bad part was the cigarette smell in the hallways and room. We asked for a non-smoking room, and the smell of smoke was pervasive in the room and hallways. We let the front desk know, but they didn't have an equal room for us to switch.

I stayed one night. Although the receptionist was accomodating because I was originally given an adjoining room where my neighbors had a yapping dog...I still was not fully pleased. The rooms were clean but the facility was not well maintained. For example, the elevator was clearly needing repairs (jamming). The bathroom had water damage in the ceiling. […] The "gym" was falsly advertised as larger than it was because it was literally 3 machines in a small room. If you're looking for minimal luxuries and inexpensive stay: this is the hotel for you. However, if you prefer a certain standard of luxuries: this is not the hotel for you. It is cheaper but for the quality - I was regretful that I didn't spend the extra charge for a better hotel. Again, the service of the employees was pleasing but not the hotel itself. Also, keep in mind it is a pet friendly hotel and quiet may not be an option. Plus, it did make me wonder why they had a security guard on every level. Lisez la suite

Close to Delawanna station. Very easy to go in the city. The hotel was correct, as expected. We had a great time, really.

I was only here for one night, but I've stayed here before and haven't had any major issues... a lil noise here and there.. but nothing crazy. Location is very good.. there's a lot of places to eat near by with a movie theater as well. The two issues I had during my stay was the fire alarm went off around 3am for about twenty minutes and I'm not sure […] how but my car windshield was cracked over night. There was an empty liquor bottle next to my car so I'm assuming that had something to do with it..luckily my insurance covered everything but if the expense would've came out of my pocket I would've been an unhappy customer. The hotel was nice, dingier in the lobby than in the room. The room was nice, clean, and the bed soft. You could hear the people next door and in the hall, but it was not bad. Overall good for what it was, a night in a hotel because I was away from home. I would stay here again.

Very nice accomodations. Direct access from the hotel to a Red Robin restaurant, so you don't have to step out in the cold. Comforting to see security guards watching over the entrance and parking lot overnight. There is a lot of highway construction going on in the area (2/10/12) so the entrance was hard to see. We didn't know that access to route […] 3 heading west was behind the hotel. We had to head east for 1.5 miles to the next exit to turn around. Hot water was a problem. We had to run the water in the sink for a long time to get hot water for hand washing and shaving. Lisez la suite

convenient place to stay nr NYC - we got it for the pool and for location. staff was great and room was clean and well maintained - comfortable bed etc .. even the other clients were friendly (not used to people actually saying hello in the elevator!) the only slightly negative thing is that the hallway was dark and wasn't as well-maintained as the […] room. mall and target close by and the red robin restaurant actually had vegetarian offerings which were good. would recommend to anyone Lisez la suite

Friendly and helpful people. Hotel beds are great. As a matter of fact the reason I keep returning is that I can sleep on the beds comfortably.

This hotel is located in a nice are, very centralize. The only issue that I had during my staying was that the hot ware will ran out very fast. In other worlds no hot water in my room.

Although there's construction going on, the inn still remains peaceful. The room was clean and I was very happy with the choice of staying there. The only thing that I wish they'd change is the checkout time. Most hotels I stay at, checkout time is usually 12pm or even 1pm, this place expects you out by 11am. The complimentary breakfast is a plus and […] the fact that you're not that far from AMC, Barnes and Nobles and different restaurants is also a plus. Great hotel overall. Just down the road from a bus stop that goes to Manhattan. Only downfall was they didn't have conditioner or moisturizer. Amazing continental breakfast though! Beds are very comfortable and the rooms and nice and big.

Room was clean. Staff was nice. Best free breakfast that I've ever seen. We had no problems bringing our pet along. Hotel is only 5 minutes from the train station. I have absolutely no complaints. Yes, the decor is outdated, and yes, the surfaces (floors, counters, etc) are not shiny and new. That's exactly what I expect at a budget hotel, and it doesn't […] bother me in the least. This hotel is not in good shape anymore and don't be fooled by the pristine lobby. The carpets throughout the hotel, rooms and hallways alike, are filthy. The hotel overall smells like urine and smoke everywhere. The door handle to my room was flimsy when opening or closing the door. I was happy the locks worked fine. The bathroom was pretty clean with […] the exception of the grout between the tiles on the floor. The floor obviously never got a deep cleaning like it should get from time to time. The sheets in my bed looked like they were used and just put back on the bed. Luckily I use my own sheets for bed anyway. The elevator seems like a preview for the rest of the hotel. The inside of the elevator was damaged. The elevator also runs poorly. I was afraid on several occasions that it was going to get stuck between the 1st and 2nd floors. The only good thing was that the staff seemed quite friendly. They have security guards who patrol the hallways along with security cameras. The Red Robin attached looks to be in excellent condition. Unfortunately the hotels was in too bad of a condition for me to ever want to come back. There are other hotels east of this hotel on Route 3 that are newer and likely in better shape. On the plus side, the beds were comfy and the room was passably clean. On the minus side, deep breath, tub didn't drain right so had to stand in water for shower. Ran out of hot water...nothing like standing in cold water taking a cold shower. Little broken details like tile or wall paper. Dated TV. Bad in room information. Understaffed and staff was […] ok, but not friendly or welcoming. Hallways were horribly dated and depressing, carpet looked dirty. Some broken doors by elevators, elevator creaky, bangy and scary. Then there was "breakfast". Close your eyes and imagine having breakfast at the DMV. Same charm and chaos and service. We booked this hotel a few years ago for my parents to visit. The hotel was decent at that time. Since then they have opened it up to a local college to use as dorms and it has gone WAY downhill! The carpets were filthy throughout the hotel. Every inch of the hotel smelled like cigarette smoke and the hallways were frigid because people held the exit […] doors open as they smoked. There was an empty soda bottle under one of the beds in our room. Also, the sheets did not look clean. The pool was very dirty and the hot tub had that gross foam on top. Just a total dump. Stayed for the Giant game with my kids The Rooms where comfortable very close to Met Life Statium and for the price it s worth staying a night if its a night game and have a long drive A free quick bagle and cup of coffe helps for the ride home

This hotel was not at all what I was expecting. The room was spacious and clean. The flow of the room was calming and enjoyable. And the bed.... The bed was very comfortable, I haven't had such a peaceful night of sleep in a very long time. My Fiance can't stop talking about how wonderful the bed was! Having the Red Robin right downstairs was extremely […] convenient- I didn't even have to walk outside to get to it! All the ammenities of the room were in working order and very clean. I have no complaints about my stay at the La Quinta in Clifton, NJ. Well, my only complaint is that I couldn't take that bed home with me... =) Lisez la suite

I went to Clifton attending a family meeting, and after 10 hours driving I was expecting to have a comfortable room to rest. But my surprise when I arrived was totally different. My assigned room had the door opened but I thought was a welcome tech surprise, however the bed had signs that was previously used by someone else, a box full of food near […] to TV Set and it was a smoking room as well. I couldn't believe it, I understand that Hotel was full but It is not my fault, I had to be honest, I received a "Suite" but with a curtain broken, ugly carpet and a lot of noise from a factory located right in front of the window. Comfortable and convenient all in all, but there are some basics lacking here. First of all, this hotel advertises it's indoor pool and jacuzzi, but the upkeep on those is kinda nonexistent. The jacuzzi was unpleasant to look at unless you'd been drinking, and when it was turned on it filled the entire room with a thick bubble bath foam that made it […] impossible to enjoy. During the winter I think it's especially important to keep the hot tub nice. Also, the "free breakfast" is bagels, waffles, or toast. They should be specific about that, because I believe with all my heart that protein is ESSENTIAL to a balanced, decent "breakfast". All in all it was okay, and the staff was polite and pleasant. My girlfriend and I just wanted a night to get away from friends/family for one night and just relax on our own.. and we did just that...we had dinner and watched movies and enjoyed each others company. The one complaint I have is that the person next door was playing music pretty loud and made it a little difficult to watch our movie but we managed. […] We had a joining room (we obviously didn't know the people next door), but that could be why the music seemed a little louder than normal. Staff was rude, not helpful. Insisted that there was no group reservation for our party, even when provided a confirmation number. When our electronic room key didn't work the second time, they kept pressing me to take the room anyway, assuring me that the key would "eventually" work. Hallways were dark, carpet was in bad shape. Shower didn't drain, […] resulting in being in ankle deep water which remained there when my wife wanted to shower after me. Access from Rte 3 was diffcult, dangerous, and poorly marked. My family and I stayed at this hotel during a power emergency and were thrilled with the staff - they were amazing. Our door did not lock though and the pool area was colder than outside. This is a good hotel for the economy traveler who is looking for a nice place to stay for a night or so- but i would not recommend it for families.

Great location in relation to NYC, 12 miles from the city, all for a great price. Would stay here again !

The hotel is a bit older but still in top condition with excellent service.

I only stayed here one night, but I have stayed here before and it's a not a bad place to stay. It's clean quiet, and the staff is nice. The only issue I had this stay was that the remote wasn't working properly and since it was late at night they couldn't fix it... but it wasn't that big of an issue cus I fell asleep within an hour anyway.

everything was good except that the room missing refrigerator and microwave which I believe it should be there.

This hotel is really great! Perfect location to go to NYC from. Great rates. We wanted to take the beds home with us! Never had such a good sleep in any hotel/motel. High recommendations to stay here!

My rom was on the other side of the facility and I don't know if I look like an untrustworthy fella, but they never gave me a key that lasted more than 24 hours. I saw those front desk folks way more than needed. Hotel was in shabby shape. Lots of smelly mildew and cracked paint. took the front desk folks two hours to get me in a room apon arival at […] midnight, making my first night a very long one! I reserved 2 non smoking rooms as I was travelling with 2 small kids. When we signed it, we were told there are no non smoking rooms. We were given smoking rooms and when we went inside, there was terrible smell in both rooms. We couldn't even stand inside. It was late in night (1AM) and we had kids so we had no option but to sleep there. Luckily for […] us the windows in the room opened allowing some fresh air. Room was OK, the bed sheets were dirty and the mattresses itself were terrible. They were old and smelly. Breakfast in the morning was decent for the price of the hotel. Lisez la suite
