Parking is bad because the first three floors are for valet but the spaces were empty. Only had king size pillows, nothing small and actually had a tube TV.

When we checked in we realized they had given us a room with 2 double beds. When we checked at the front desk, they immediately changed us to another room. We got to the second room only to find someone was already in that room! They had us wait a minute, came back for us and we ended up in a suite that was fabulous. Everyone was so kind and so concerned, […] they couldn't have been nicer. We enjoyed our evening and had a great breakfast the next morning. They certainly turned things around and kept us happy! Head board broke on Monday. I left Thursday and maintenance still had not repaired it.

The valet service is EXTREMELY RUDE. They would charge parking even for unloading bags. Would hardly bring water to a handicap's room. Also changed our rate from $120 to $400 without letting us know in advance, or without any reasonable cause.

Hotel was in a great, safe location. Only issue was the room.. TV's are pretty old.. Fussy reception and minimal channels.. UPDATE YOUR FUNRNITURE AND TV's in your rooms!!! Staff was great, very nice!! GREAT FOOD!!!! I would stay again..

Hotel check-in was easy and the staff at the desk were amazing. The rooms were clean but I was shocked that the tv was so out dated. The mini bar was not plugged in everything was hot. When checking out I called 3x for bell service and waited over 30min and still no service. I had the take my bags downstairs myself. The hotel was as good as expected after reading the reviews. I would highly recommend anyone coming to this hotel if you get a chance go and book with the buffet breakfast included, the breakfast was really a good value add. I'm not sure why I keep doing this to us. As a native Houstonian, I know what the traffic is like anywhere in the Galleria vicinity. Thought I was being smart getting a hotel a little further down the feeder from westheimer, but it didn't change anything. Still a pain to get out at any time there's daylight. Once the sun sets things calm down a lot […] and the place is easily accessible. That being said, this hotel is immaculate. Rooms are spacious, bed is comfortable, and the inside of the building is very nice. My only complaint about the room is lack of a proper closet. Almost any hotel has one. This one, at least the room we were in, only had a small opening in the tv stand to hang clothes in. Normally this doesn't bother me, but I had a suit that had to be crammed into this small space. Otherwise I would definitely consider this hotel for a future stay....IF it wasn't on one of the most crammed with cars streets in Houston. Lisez la suite

I had a very nice stay at the Royal Sonesta. The room was comfortable and the service was wonderful. During my stay I was able to use the workout room and breakfast at the restaurant. Both were very nice with towels, water and fruit in the workout room and delicious eggs benedict with fresh avacado for breakfast. But the customer service was embarrassing and infuriating. Are they understaffed? Then no one wants to help you, issue? Prepare to get passes around like a hot potatoe.

We stayed 1 night during Spring Break. We caught a Rocket games, shopped at the Galleria Mall, and went to the Space Center. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect. We were able to check in early (noon) with no problems. The breakfast was great, especially the service in the Restaurant.

Staff were incredibly helpful, facilities were great (fitness center and pool) overall a very pleasant stay. I switched to this hotel from a Hilton because of lack of services and unhelpful staff so was very pleasantly surprised and highly recommend the Royal Sonesta if you are in the Houston Galleria area

It was very good except for a very loud knock at our door at 10: p.m. The person who knocked said that we requested for the air conditioning to be fixed so he was there to fix it for us. We did not open the door since we did not send such a request.

The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. We had a minor issue with receiving a bill for parking even though we booked an Expedia special rate that included free parking but the front desk person took care of it immediately. This hotel is in a good location near The Galleria shops and many restaurants along the 610 Loop and ideal for our needs. […] The hotel room was pleasant with a comfortable bed and shower head in bathroom was nice. Great hotel, super convenient and easy to get in and out of, free parking was included when I booked this which is a HUGE plus for this area. Close to Galleria for shopping, Target and CVS nearby too, close to Memorial Park...loved it. Hotel was clean and beautiful, staff was great.

Have stayed here before and will again. Easily accessible by car, easy parking and even within walking distance of the Galleria, its pretty rare you can walk anywhere in Houston!!

The bellhop was very helpful with our luggage and getting us oriented to the hotel. We only stayed for one night, but I think it could be comfortable for longer stays if I need to return to the area. Very easy to get to Rice or the medical center or the Galleria from here.
