Très bon hotel, bien situé au centre de Providence. Accueil chaleureux. Bon confort et propreté irréprochable. Wifi gratuit dans le hall (et la connexion va jusque dans les chambres). Parking (20$/j). Cafeteria pour petit déjeuner à prix raisonable. Restaurant sans intérêt. Une bonne adresse.

Very disappointed that we had to pay to park at our own hotel while we are staying there! Overshadowed our whole stay because it just seemed so unnecessary and left a bad taste in our mouth!

Excellent in all areas. Would happily stay there again.

Away from the kids for the night, great place to have a romantic date night with my wife. Very comfortable room, awesome location off the highway and just a couple blocks from Federal Hill. Had drinks one place, dinner at another, and dessert at a third.

The Hilton is located at the foot of Federal Hill, the Italian Section, on Atwell Street in Providence. Streams of folks with bakery boxes and fresh bread from Federal Hill shops, floated past the Hilton. Our own Easter Parade. Our stay was wonderful - the customer service was great, the location was perfect (walking distance to Federal Hill, mall, etc), the restaurant was great. The only thing was the pool - we wanted to swim but when we got there the pool did not seem very clean so we didn't swim at all.

Pros: Comfortable rooms with nice amenities. Friendly front desk. Small but pleasant pool. Restaurant and room service good, though no spectacular. Cons: Pricey. Views overlook highway 95. 30 minute walk to RISD or Brown. Few restaurants, grocery options, or attractions (besides the expo center) in the immediate area.

The hotel location made for easy access to many of the locations we were looking to see and the staff was beyond accommodating.

Very nice hotel, but don't get a floor with parents that want to party, security came up twice, another guest pounded on their door and still at 2:30am they were loud. Would of been a great visit if it weren't for that.

The check in process was horrible. 2 connecting rooms were requested at booking and not available when we arrived. Check in was at 3:00 and the 2nd room was not ready until 4:30. The room was not ready when we got there at 3pm. The front desk staff was very nice about it and another room was made available within 20 minutes. The room itself was a bit noisy as it was near the elevator which was running loudly all night long. All that considered, it was a good, clean hotel in an excellent location.

I took my kids on a 1 night getaway to Providence and it was PERFECT for them! If I were going in hopes of a more elegant affair this Hotel wouldn't cut it, but for a family outing it was great!

This hotel is in the heart of Providence. It's a great stay, great room, great staff. I loved the comfortability and cleaniness of the room. The staff was extremely helpful with every question.

There are only a couple of hotels in downtown Providence with a pool. That is the main reason we booked the Hilton and we will never be back. We could tell by the photos that the pool was small, but the issue was that the pool was absolutely filthy. Hair and other things floating in the water. If it were not for the good rate on Hotels.com, this hotel would have been completely overpriced. The location was perfect though and the staff was friendly. Our room was clean but surprisingly small. Room service was friendly and quick but overpriced (that however is not shocking in a hotel). The kids could not swim and so we were disappointed. We did enjoy our stay here except for a few minor things. The valet parking or parking in general was very high and tips were very STRONGLY encouraged almost to the point of rudeness. Upon our check in we found ourselves bumped from the King Suit we had reserved to a room with 2 full size beds. It worked out ok since my husband had opted to stay home […] on this trip, but their was no explanation as to why we were switched and not even an apology. My last complaint was the internet. It cost 10 a day and it didn't work very well at all. I was seriously surfing at dial up speeds and finally gave up using it since I could use my phones internet faster. Lisez la suite

My husband and I took the megabus to Providence for a spare of the moment, mini vacation. The stop was a short walk to the hotel. At midnight, we felt safe, and because their are a couple of colleges near by, people were out and about. Once at the hotel, we were taken care of. Could the front desk attendences been a little more friendly.. sure. But […] I guess the excuse would be that it was midnight. The room was nice and spacious but my opinion is based on being placed in a handicap asccessible room. On the other hand, if you are one with special needs, this room was completely accessibe with railings, wide throughways, a huge bathroom and lower door handes. For the hotels thought in that area, I would give them 5 stars. This hotel offered room service but it was less than jaw dropping. For 46 dollars and some change, i thought I was getting a veggie omlet, a waffle with season fruit and whipped cream, and fresh juice... Instead, I got imitaion eggs, what looked like canned veggies, swiss cheese in a bed of oil, and a $15 plain waffle wrapped in ceran wrap... on a plate and 'just add water juice... an HOUR AND A HALF LATER! Needless to say, I was infuriated. I called the server back to the room, presented my plain, $15 dollar, ceran wrapped waffe and told his i was disappointed. I want to say he felt bad too, or didnt want his name in this review, but he replaced it with a waffle, with seasonal berries and whipped cream. for those considering room service there, just pay the $20 dollars for their mediocore buffet instead. at least you can witness them poring their orange- aid into their juice machines. Aside from this, the people in and around the hotel were personable. We walked the whole city. There is a beautiful canal the runs the length and a large mall just around the corner. Their historic Federal Hill is literally 3 minutes from the hotel and it was beautiful and quite charming. Great hotel. Right next door to the Civic Center, so no extra travel was necessary. Clean, and well appointed. Would recommend me this hotel to everyone.

I can safely recommend this place to anyone. It's a short walk to dining, shopping, bars, etc. The staff was very helpful and courteous, and most places not within walking distance are just a short cab ride.

we love this hotel! the staff is friendly, helpful and kind. it is centrally located and a pleasant walking distance to Federal Hill and other great places in the city.

the only bad part was the extra $21 per night to park my car. They forgot to mention that in their ad.

The Providence Hilton is strategically located to take advantage of I95 and I195 -- very convenient to these highways and also to Federal Hill, home of the best italian restaurants in Providence. It was also relatively convenient to Providence Place Mall, just a few blocks away. It had all the comfort and convenience one expects of a Hilton and we were […] pleased with our stay. Stayed for the same event the last two years; missed the cider and treats is the lobby.

The hotel had trouble answering its phone in a timely fashion. This happened twice when my husband tried to call me on two successive days - both weekdays. Other than this problem, the stay was fine, comfortable, quiet and uneventful.

I stayed here with my daughters for a concert at Lupo's in Providence. It was very close, only about 1/3 mile away, and the hotel was very comfortable. The staff was very nice, asked me what floor I'd like to stay on - usually that's not an option! They put you wherever they want. Beds were very comfy, but the room was small. The room only has the bare essentials and no more (i.e., no fridge, no wifi). The room _looked_ clean, but I noticed the same strand of my hair in the wash basin during the five days I stayed. Wifi ($9.95 / 24 hr) was slower than dial-up. The charges was reverted but I couldn't get any work done.

The room was clean but beds are a little old - it sagged quite a bit when you sleep on it. Surrounding neighborhood is non existence. Nothing there. Starbucks closes way too early on weekends.

When we arrived at the hotel, we asked the clerk for a suggestion on best dinner places in the area. He sent us to a wonderful restaurant and gave us a 20% off coupon. There was a Columbus Day Festival in the area and the suggested restaurant was in the middle of the fest. We had a great dinner with free entertainment. Hilton Hotel is outstanding on all counts. The customer sevice at Shula's Steakhouse in the hotel is atrocious. Totally inattentive.

The hotel is nice as most of the Hilton's, but the location was not so nice to walk around.

Great location: right off I95, walk to downtown and Federal Hill. Room a little small but clean and nice decor. Staff very helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations. Shuttle available for guests.

Our reservation was originally for two double beds, but we decided to go with a room with a queen to be further away from the elevator. The front desk told us that it would be quieter. I'm not so sure it was that much quieter because we could hear whenever our neighbor entered/exited his/her room. The front desk did warn us that the rooms with the queens […] are smaller...indeed they were! We could hardly fit the crib (pack n' play) that we also reserved! We were thinking that they probably should have told us that the crib would not fit when deciding to change rooms. Also, the queen beds are INCREDIBLY uncomfortable. When you lie on it, you sink to the middle of the bed. We recently slept in a springy sofa bed and I think the sofa bed was more comfortable than the bed we slept in at this hotel! We had to argue, loudly for a long time, with the hotel for a non-smoking king bed that was reserved way in advance on this website. The hotel had nothing good to say about our reservation thru a 3rd party site. Finally we demanded to see the manager, and at that point he really did go out of his way to make our stay what it should have been in the […] first place. It was so insulting to be offered a room in a smoking section, or beds too small (we are tall) after we had a reservation for something different, especially for what we paid. If you do get a room here it will be necesarry to call the hotel direct as well to confirm choice of beds, that is what we were told.
