We had a great visit. The hotel was very welcoming & comfortable. We enjoyed using the pool & the free shuttle service to and from the aquarium & children's museum ( which I might add was the nicest children's museum we have ever been to). Everything was great during our 2 night stay.

I was very disappointed in our stay. The highway was very loud (I 95). The room was devoid of furniture--big open area with no table. I was crushed that the pool was being used for lessons for others (in the community), so we were forced out in some way. The decorating in the room was stark and not attractive or inviting.

I stayed at the hotel for convenience purposes with my children and was a bit disappointed. The hotel allowed locals into the pool area which greatly inhibited my family's enjoyment.

Good location, very comfortable roon and good front desk service., but the restaurant was not so good. Food was tastless ans cold. Lots of interesting shops etc on the street right and left of the hotel.

Several members of my immediate and extended family stayed in this hotel in order to attend my mother's memorial service. This hotel is showing it's age, and fraying at the edges a bit, but is well maintained. Service at the front desk is prompt and very friendly. Maid service was pretty good, but there was a lot of noisy chatter earlier in the morning […] than I liked. Nice hotel but two of my firiend order non smoking and all they had left was smoking. 1 did get a room of non smoking after we complained and the other did not. It should be if I reserved a room that is the room I should get.

An excellent hotel. Quality service with a caring feeling.

We stayed here 1 night while returning to PA from New England. During check-in, there was only 1 person at the reservation desks and it seemed like everyone in front of me didn't have any reservations, so it took a bit long to check-in than normal. i needed somewhere to stay overnight for work. it was very convenient, right off the highway and 7 mins. from where i needed to go in the morning. very friendly staff. room was clean.

great but neighborhood not so great

Very friendly staff, clean room, overall comfortable stay. The free breakfast had a large variety of good items. The gym was clean and all the equipment worked well.

Good, comfortable stay. Fairly easy access to I-95. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful, and interested in me as a customer. Breakfast is excellent.

The hotel was trendy and clean, and the staff was very friendly. We didn't use it, but the hotel has a pool. Also, the hot buffet breakfast that was included in the package was great!

Very good accommadations. Service was excellent-friendly staff. Clean rooms-will return to this hotel.

Daughter and I were looking for a place to stay that was not far from the Maritime Aquarium and this place was 2 miles away! The staff here were all very pleasant..from check in to check out. Very clean rooms, comfortable bed and nice flat screen tv. The pool area was exceptionally clean compared to other hotels with pools. My daughter was upset that […] they didn't have a hot tub, but the water in the pool was very warm so she was happy with that! Only complaint I have is the food. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food wasn't all that good. Daughter had macaroni & cheese and it looked like mac & cheese soup. Returned it and she ended up with pasta with butter and liked it. I had chicken parm, although a very good portion, the taste of the sauce wasn't too good, but I ate it. We had room service for breakfast the next day and it was cold. Pancakes were on the burnt side. I would definitely stay there again, I just wouldn't eat there. Overall, a very relaxing night. Couldn't be more pleased with my visit to this hotel. From the fresh baked (and still warm) cookies we got when we checked in, to them allowing us to use the free shuttle one last time after check out, the staff at the DoubleTree Norwalk couldn't have been more helpful. The free shuttle they offer within a 6 mile radius was amazing and saved us well […] over $60 if we had used a taxi. Never had to wait more than 15 minutes for it, and that was with 4 wedding parties staying at the hotel as well. Great service that made all the difference in our visit. The pool is a great size, and heated so it felt amazing to jump into, and the fitness center had great machines and lots of equipment. The DoubleTree is also a very gorgeous hotel. The lobby looked beautiful, the bar and restaurant looked like a 5 star restaurant, and our room was very beautiful and clean. I couldn't be happier with my visit to the DoubleTree Norwalk, and would highly recommend them. Did I mention the free cookies at check-in? Lisez la suite

The rooms are beautiful, spacious and clean. The area is close to some really nice sights and cute downtown. The problem is the noise. Little seemed to have been done to soundproof the rooms - sound leaks through the ventilation and walls. Light sleepers would have trouble here.

We stayed on a Saturday night. Very convenient to I-95. However, lots of wedding parties staying at the hotel, so the noise level around 1am was very bad. Other than that, the hotel was fine.

For the price the accommodations were excellent. We were very pleased with the room and service. No refrigerator though so bring a cooler- there is plenty of ice.

great location, service, price and comfort!

We were very impressed with this hotel stay, and we will definitely stay here again. The bed was so comfy, and the bathroom tub was long enough for me and my 6'4" tall husband. The room was always cleaned when we returned from breakfast. OH BREAKFAST!! The Saffire restaurant is a must! The omelets were absolutely divine. Very clean and pleasant room. Nice furnishings and bedding. Bath was lovely. Lobby areas not as nice as shown in photos. Kind of musty. Lots of people just hanging around the lobby and the entrance day and evening - kind of odd but we never felt unsafe. It is located near a rougher part of town. Upon check in we were greeted by Hector who was excellent. We were on our way to our room within minutes, hot choc chip cookies in hand. The rooms look brand new. The beds were the most comforable beds we ever slept in. The bathroom was pure luxury with shelves under the sink chock full of bath towel, hand towels, etc. The bathroom was spotless. We […] had a wide screen tv with built in gamecube, my 10 year old loved that and at $6.95 an hour to play along with a huge selection of games, it was nice entertainment for him in the room. We swam in the pool. Again, beautiful pool area, lots of towels, changing area, etc. We ate breakfast at the restaurant. For 15 bucks an adult, child ate free. The buffet was amazing and you could make your own waffles. There was lots of fresh fruit, omlets, scrambled eggs and the usual breakfast fare all in a beautiful setting. We really enjoyed our experience here. I felt like I was in a five star hotel. There is a Bertuccis and Friendlys up the street and a few other local restaurants. I would have given this hotel a 5/5 rating if it wasn't for the cigarette smoke smell coming through the ventilation into our non-smoking room. Room was clean and tidy but the smoke smell tarnished our experience.
