"Très bon accueil quartier calme"Avis d'un client Hotels.com envoyé le 6 mai 2012
Un très bon séjour. Nous avons très bien reçu par notre hôte. Le studio est équipé d'un micro onde et frigo, idéal pour préparer et garder au frais les sandwich pour les visites aux environs. Bed and breakfast à 2 km de la gare accessible par les bus 256 et 15. Arrêt Koiipark. A very nice place to stay. Far from 2 km from central station. Need to take bus 15 or 256 Koiipark stop if you don't want to walk.

"Eden Leidse Square Hotel"
"Eden Leidse Square Hotel"
Hôtel bien placé pour accéder à pied dans le centre ville, personnel sympa, mais confort de la chambre un peu léger pour le prix.
"Better located and service hotel"
Better than I expected.Good location. The service is all comfort and will stay there in future.
The only thing about the room that I was concerned with was the cleanliness of the carpet. The room was small as expected. Their was an additional charge for tax that I was not aware of which bothered me as usually this is all paid at time of booking.

"Great price and location"
Very friendly helpful staff, great location for a fantastic price
"Manage your expectations!"
Let's start with the pros: The hotel is clean, service and staff are friendly, efficient, multi-lingual and very, very nice. The hotel is close to the heart of Amsterdam, right in the Theater District, and a 10-minute walk from the Museum District. It is quiet, clean, and offers complimentary coffee in the morning. Lastly, the prices are honest. You […] need your room card to get into the elevator, which is a nice security touch. Flat-panel TV with plenty of channels and movies in English. Wired Internet in the room. Bathroom was spotless and there was plenty of hot water. Now for the cons: Don't expect to get your strokes like you might from a big hotel chain in the States, where they're after your frequent flier miles or hotel points. There's no grandiose lobby with towering plants, the bar is tiny and unmanned, the elevator can fit two if you're slim and aren't taking suitcases up with you. ;-) The decor, is, well... 60's East Berlin - you kind of expected the Stasi to break in for questioning at any moment. Bed was tiny and well-used, carpet had definitely seen better days. So - if you're in Amsterdam to see the sights and you don't plan on spending lots of time in the hotel, this is a great choice. If you're a lobby-lizard who doesn't like to venture far from a more comfortable room and like a hotel with lots of amenities, break out you wallet and move up the ladder to somtehing nicer. "Hampshire Hotel Amsterdam"
Great little hotel, very reasonably priced. The rooms are a little small. However, very clean, comfortable and a few minutes walk from Dam square. Loads of bars and restaurants in walking distance. There is a huge canoodling park just behind the hotel and tour cruises on the water across the road. The hotel offers off street secure parking at around […] €32/day. Service and staff fantastic! Highly recomended Lisez la suite
"Perfect location for a weekend break away"
Never used any public transport, 25 minute walk to the red light district - everything else is closer. Extremely good value for money. Friendly staff and cosy room but ideal for a short trip. Saved lots of money without haviń to use transport!

"Eden Theatre District Hotel Amsterdam - Good + Bad"
Good: Friendly, helpful staff; quality and variety of breakfast selections; located near several tram lines; Internet access Bad - all relative to our room rather than public areas: Stained carpet; shower gel dispenser (only soap offered) broke soon after we arrived; cover of feminine hygiene disposal bag dispenser fell off, spilling bags onto the […] floor; toilet seat was loose, making it prone to fall down rather than stay up; one of the two wall-mounted nightstands drooped at a 20-degree angle While my overall rating is 3 on a scale of 5, I cannot recommend this hotel because the problems described above constitute inexcusable neglect. "2 nights in Amsterdam"
We booked one night initially and ended up extended one more night in Amsterdam. The hotel has a good location, near to Leidseplein. From the Central Station, take Tram No.1 or No.2 to Leidseplein stop, from there is approx. 5min walk to the hotel. There's a nearer tram station at the right of the hotel which the tram goes back to Central Station, […] hence you don't have to walk back to Leidseplein stop with your luggage when you leave. The room is a reasonable size, most hotel rooms in Europe are not big, We find the room size appropriate for it's class. Free WiFi is available in the lobby, however we were able to detect some signal in our room on 3rd Floor. Staffs are friendly and helpful. The hotel provides free coffee and tea in the breakfast counter. We were able to leave our luggage with them after check-out. We ditched the tram and walked along the track, there are a lot to see and shop. Bloemenmarkt is walking distance away, so is Van Gogh museum. Do give the All-you-can-eat ribs at Pancake Corner a try, best value! Lisez la suite

"Pleasent Stay"
We booked this hotel on price and location, and although some of the reviews seemed a little off putting most of them seemed positive. On checking into the hotel we were greeted by a very pleasant lady on the reception desk, who although extremely busy was still very polite, helpful and basically very nice. The hotel do ask for a 50 euro deposit (refunded […] on check-out) and do also charge an extra local tax on your booking (3%) although this is clearly stated on the Hotels.com booking information. The hotel is in a great location, a few minutes walk to bars and resturants and the nearest tram stop to take us into central Amsterdam. The hotel itself was very quite and we had an undisturbed sleep. The location of the hotel also felt quite safe. Many reviews state that the rooms are tiny, we did not find this even though we had booked the Compact Double we had plenty of room; yes the rooms are small and the bathroom only had a shower and no bath, which was all we wanted, but our room was not tiny, and we really did not notice the carpet which is talked about in so many reviews in fact we found the hotel to be very clean. We paid a good low price for one night without breakfast and for this price it was a fantastic value hotel, we did feel though that the full price would have been expensive for the room we had. We would stay there again and would recommend it to anyone wanting to stop in Amsterdam. Lisez la suite
Smaller hotel in excellent location with easy access to trams, trains water vehicles and square with good variety of resturants and hotels with entertainment. Friendly staff small lifts and rooms. Would stay here again.
"Reasonably priced, comfortable and clean hotel"
The hotel staff were very pleasant and friendly, but not very well equipped to answer questions about activities/sights, etc., so do your research ahead of time. Upon arrival, we were permitted to check in VERY early (8:30 a.m.!) and given our choice of 2 rooms. (We had requested air conditioning, one room had it and one did not - we actually took the […] one without because it was larger and cooler anyway due to a very efficient electric fan, opening window and being one level lower in the hotel.) The room was small, but clean and comfortable. Stains in carpet throughout hotel (hallways and rooms) seem to be nothing more than water stains, but are a little odd nonetheless. In a great neighborhood, only a very short walk to a lively square and the tram, but removed enough to be not too busy/loud at night. Overall, it was a great value and we felt more than pleased. "Eden Theatre District Hotel, Amsterdam"
All I can say is the location is great. The rest is not. The rooms and main hallways are disgusting. The front lobby is clean and it looks fine until you go upstairs. The breakfast is expensive and pitiful. Don't stay here unless now where else is available.
"Small but affordable"
A very good value for money. Make no mistake, the rooms are SMALL (think small bathroom small by American standards) but they offer great value for money, the staff are courteous and very friendly and it's a short tram ride to downtown. The surrounding bars and restaurants are also very nice. If you want to save some money and stay out of the center […] of Amsterdam, this is a great hotel. Lisez la suite
"Good location but rooms are small"
Our room was booked as a superior however it was still rather small. it was meant to have free internet but this did not include wifi as you had to hook it on so useless for an ipad. however there was wifi downstairs in the coffee area where the hotel offers free coffee and tea facilities.

"Short stay, single traveller"
Good hotel in convenient yet quiet location. Single room small but totally fine for one occupant for a few days. Great location, close to town centre and all the sights and nice neighbourhood with shops and restaurants. For the price very good value for money, I would return.
"Just clean the carpet"
This hotel is a good location, very near restaurants. The front desk staff is great. Two negatives: the carpet is very stained in the room and the hallway and the shower curtain is not sufficient to keep the water in the shower. The whole bathroom floor will be a lake if you aren't careful.
"Eden Theater Amsterdam"
My daughter and I stayed one night in this hotel and found it very agreeable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was a little on the small side but more than enough for the duration of our stay. The breakfast was very good value at 7.50 (if booked before midnight the night before). It was also helpful having free tea and/or coffee available […] from a machine in the bar 24/7. The hotel is located about 6 tram stops from Central Station and is easily walkable to many sights and attractions. I would recommend this hotel to anybody Lisez la suite
"Eden theatre hotel Amsterdam - good hotel..."
We really enjoyed our stay here. Ok the room was very small but it was clean and confortable. The staff were excellent and very friendly. The location was good to as it was just across from the American hotel. You can walk to the Van Gogh musem in 10 minutes and Anne Frank House in 20 minutes. The Number 1 tram takes you straight to the hotel from Central […] Station. Overall I would stay here again. Lisez la suite
"Eden Hotel - OK For A Budget Holiday...!"
We stayed here on a very last minute holiday, on a budget, for 3 nights in Jan 2011. It basically did what it said on the tin! Cheap, basic hotel. Steeeep steps! No food served, at all! Small bar, but expensive. As we chose the compact double room, we weren't expecting much, so it didn't disappoint. The room was tiiiny, the shower room was even tiiiiiinier! […] The windows do open, and although it is now a non-smoking hotel, there were blatant smokers throughout the hotel, and no issues from hotel staff! . It’s about €9 in a taxi away from the red light district area. It’s just around the corner from Leidseplein square area. Overall, it was ok. If you’re looking for a cheap place to stay, I guess you could do worse; you’ve just got to take it for what it is! If you’re looking for a nice place to say and enjoy whilst in Dam, go somewhere else! Lisez la suite
The customer service was mediocre to say the least and the details of our room was not properly provided to us. We made two telephone requests with reception (the first was a general enquiry about whether the hotel supplied tissue boxes and the second was a wake-up call request) which were NOT followed up or completed. This was extremely disappointing, […] especially not receiving the wake-up call which could have easily resulted in missing our train schedule on the morning of check-out. We were given a room in the basement area of the hotel next to the cleaner's rooms which, in addition to the walls being paper-thin and anti-sound-proof, meant that there was ALOT of noise throughout the day/night. We pre-paid a room with a double bed but received two single-mattresses joined together which constantly moved around due to the wheels. Lisez la suite
"Eden Leidse Amsterdam"
The reception was pleasant and welcoming. The rooms are small but as advertised and comfortable. Great price and excellent location. Did I say small?
"a great hotel , all u could want"
this hotel was a great find, the staff were super friendly and very helpful , its was clean and comfy although the rooms were small they had all u need for a short stay, its a 5 min walk from light sq and about 10-15 mins from central station on the tram,we are going back in a few months and plan to book this hotel again
"Convenient and good value"
Location is great for sightseeing; not in the middle of the tourist area, but easy walking distance to the museums and other sights. Very friendly staff. Small European-style rooms. Good value.
"the perfect hotel for a quick break.."
found this hotel to be perfect in everyway, from the staff, to the room and the location. the staff were very friendly, the room was clean and cosy and the location was just perfect.everything was within walking distance. there is a tram system but we felt it was just as easy to walk.just watch the bicycles they are everywhere.

"Great, but small."
The hotel was great. Everything was as described. Breakfast was a little expensive, and not worth the 15 euro. The only complaint, if you can call it a complaint, was that the hotel room itself was exceptionally small. I know I should expect this from Europe, but for the price I expected a little more room to move around. Prior to this, I stayed at […] the Best Western Leidse square, which for less money was slightly nicer and larger, and had free internet / cheaper breakfast. In the future I'll probably do the Best Western again (despite feeling like a foolish American for staying at a Best Western). Lisez la suite
nice hotel in city center,
"Eden Leidse Square Hotel in Amsterdam"
We were pleased with our accommodations at the Eden Leidse Square Hotel. The location is convenient for visiting museums, and the tram services are all closeby. Although the room was compact our beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well during the hot weather we experienced at the time. The day we arrived in Amsterdam the football team […] was celebrated through the canals. We were fortunate enough to have a view of this from our hotel window, and were very close to the location of the festivities with the bandstand. Lisez la suite
"Good location, decent hotel"
Eden Leidse is well located near the Leidseplein square. The only downside is that our room faced the street and there was a bus stop right below us. So on Friday nights things can get quite noisy. Otherwise, the hotel is a good value option for Amsterdam. Not fancy, but clean and convenient.
It is agood hotel by the price. Good location, close to a Tram station ( route No 1). I think the hotel could explain clarly about this feature, because it would be a great help to everydody who go for the first time to Amsterdam and decide stay in this hotel.
Hotel in very nice location Nice and clean enjoyed our stay very relaxing atmosphere
"Eden Leidse Square Hotel-great location"
This is a small hotel with small but comfortable rooms. Nice bachroom with shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is just across the canal from Leidse Square where a lot of restaurants and entertainment is located, also the screet car to downtown. It is within walking distance from the Concertgaubau, the Van Gogh museum and a number of […] others. Lisez la suite

"Disappointment"
I was very excited to stay here after reading the previous ratings but was disappointed. The gentlemen who checked us in seemed very annoyed when I asked if there was a map of Amsterdam available. When we arrived to our room it smelled of smoke despite the hotels Non-Smoking policy. I was too tired to ask for another room and just dealt with it. The […] room was small but to be expected. We wanted to sleep in because of our jet lag and put the do not disturb sign only to have them call our room several times in the mid morning asking to clean our room. The biggest disappointment was the shower. The curtain didn't keep the water inside the shower and the water went EVERYWHERE. We found ourselves constantly mopping the floor with our towels. I felt very nervous blowdrying my hair while standing in a puddle of water. When the cleaning person came in to do our room he had a wet-vac which leads me to believe this happens in everyroom. This hotel does have two computers in the lobby for use which was very helpful. But that is the nicest thing I can say. I preferred to use the computer to answer any questions I might have had (Recommendations) instead of asking the front desk. When I did ask most of them acted like I was bothering them. Oh well... "nice hotel, but breakfast and wireless internet are way overpriced"
15 euros for 24 wireless internet in your room. That's ridiculous
"nice hotel"
The hotel was convenient to get to and had good access to everything we wanted to visit. The service was good and the staff was friendly and helpful.
"Good hotel for the money"
The room was typical European; small and functional. The bed was very comfortable and the room suited our needs as we wanted to spend our time in the city and not in the room. The hotel is very near to Leidesplein and its many restaraunts and entertainment. Also, a train from Central Station will drop you off only a block or so from the hotel which […] is very convenient. Overall, we were very pleased with both the hotel and the staff. Lisez la suite

Didnt spend much time in the room... too busy sight seeing. The front desk staff were among the most friendly I have ever met. Thanks!!
