my husband and i spent our honeymoon there the staff was wonderful and the room was always clean when we came back from doing stuff in town and it was not more that 15 min from everywhere amazing and we are considering taking our kids this summer for a few day on vacation and staying there our only disappointment was the pool wasnt open but it was march […] so that was probably why Lisez la suite

Rooms where clean and nice would say here again all the staff was very nice and helpful with all my needs.

Hotel is older and the outside is a little weathered, but room was clean, comfortable, and roomy. Staff was friendly and courteous. Would recommend and stay there again.

The outside needs to be painted. Rooms were dark and smelled of cigarette smoke even though we supposedly had a "non-smoking" room. The bathroom had no trash can. Overall, not a hotel that I would ever stay at again, nor would I recommend it to anyone!
"Spacious Queen Suite"
Our room was large and clean. I had set up to have a smoking room, but wound up having a non-smoking room. The exterior is dated, but the interiors are nice and well kept.

This was an older property, but showed signs of being renovated. It was very clean and comfortable. I would stay again.

"1 hour to get a door key to work"
Upon arrival, neither of my two room keys would work for entry. After a long walk back to the front desk, i was given additional keys that failed to work as well. The person working the desk was very friendly and kept trying to resolve the issue and finally gave me another set of keys for a different room on the other side of the property (There are […] approx. 16 separate buildings with 8 room in each). These new keys for the new room failed to work as well. After the 3rd trip to the front desk, the worker created 2 more keys, locked the office and walked to the room with me only to see for herself that they didnt work. She return and put me in yet another room with another set of keys that finally worked. The property is in serious need of a facelift. Total disppointment. Lisez la suite

"Wyndham in Greenville"
The suites were roomy and adequate. I would guess the hotel was undergoing some upgrades and renovations as some things were new, some appeared very worn. Building exterior in need of maintenance and paint. The breakfast was ok nothing lavish but adequate and the lounge area was cozy with a fire in the fireplace. "Cozy in Greenville"
Suite was cozy yet ample especially with the fireplace. Weather was cool and the crackling fire just made the mood. Queen bed was very comfortable. Kitchen added to the convenience. Great stay.
The Hawthorn is very conveniently located to shops and restaurants and Interstate. Quiet and clean. Blanket on bed had cigarette burn, and one pillow was much larger than other. No trash cans! Great shower. Didn't use the full kitchen. Our confirmation letter said no breakfast would be provided, but they offered a very satisfactory, complimentary breakfast! […] We would stay there again. "Bates Motel"
Stay away!!!...while the photos appeal, the unsuspecting guests turn off of a major highway and bustling area to a side road w/a crumbling, run down building in front of the hotel, that might have been a restaurant at one time. Front staff were pleasant and main building looked fine. Our unit included kitchen, living, dining, bedroom, and bathroom. […] Non-smoking unit smelled as if someone had smoked a pack of cigs and shut the door. Open the door and tried to turn on the fan to help drive out the smokey smell. Thermostat was broken - when I tried to use the in-room phone, the line was dead. Walked to the main building; told maintenance would be there to repair the problems. Noticed that the large air vent itself was completely covered in dust; began cleaning down w/major dust piles falling to the floor. The peep hole on the door was stuffed w/a paper towel. The television had about 15 stations. The combination made for the perfect storm of nightmare inn. Called Hotels.com and swtiched to another hotel property w/in a few miles of this sketchy place for the next 2 nights. The following morning at about 6:50 am, my daughter heard a distinctive knock w/3 raps on the door - maybe that explains the paper towel stuffed into the peep hole? Beware... Lisez la suite
"Old run down rooms, do not rent!"
This is an apartment-style hotel. It does not even come close to 3 stars. The smell in the rooms is horrible because the buildings are old and have not been properly remodeled. The furniture is old and has not been maintained. The blanket has cigarette burns, and the whole room reeked. The rooms were cleaned by the staff, but when everything is so old, […] cleaning is not enough! For the same price you can get cleaner hotels in the area. Could not sleep in the room the first night. Heat produced horrible burning smell. For the other two nights was switched to another room, which smelled better, but had the same old furniture, appliances, etc. Wyndham should remodel the place, or reduce the star rating. Good cost and a good hotel for the price. Melvin, the front desk attendant, was very nice and helped me out with a fan when I could not find a store open to buy one. Overall nice hotel for the price.
"This hotel is not maintained"
I stayed in room 221 from Oct. 21-23. I was disappointed in the condition of your hotel. I have stayed in Greenville many times before in the Haywood Rd area and the exterior of your hotel was in the worst condition I have seen. The exterior of your building needs painting and there is significant wood rot. One of the exterior windows even had broken […] glass. The interior of the room was not much better. The wallpaper in the bathroom had significant mold and it was coming off the walls. The central heat air return had significant dust covering the return. The comforter on the beds also was worn and needed replacement. We used the pull out sofa and there were crumbs on the bed that had not been vacuumed. The ceiling had several places where there was evidence of water damage that had not been sealed with primer. They didn't have any fruit available. We were also disappointed with the breakfast. On Saturday morning, we waited for 30 minutes for eggs and sausage and the lady never had any ready by the time we left. On Sunday, there was no bread or waffles. I asked her if she could out some more and she said that she had run out of waffles. I have always expected quality out of Wyndham hotels and this was one of the worst Wyndham hotels that I have stayed at. Lisez la suite

Hotel was in disrepair. Room was adequate, but not very clean.
"This hotel did not meet our expectations"
We were extremely dissapointed with the condition of this hotel. Out of the three rooms we reserved - only one was even close to satisfactory to sleep in. We had no air with 80 degrees in our room, no handtowels, no washcloths, sheets were wrinkled as if previously slept in. Room was to sleep four people and only slept three. One child had to sleep […] on cushions that had burn holes in them on a very nasty floor. Maintenance was never available and we were instructed as to how to attempt to fix our "air" problem which did not work. Were even told to come get batteries from the front desk to put in the thermostat because no one was available to come and look at it themselves. Very poor service. Lisez la suite
"Would stay again"
Happy with the decision to go with this hotel. The bed was a little firm, so if you cannot sleep on a firm bed this would not be the place for you. If you can, than I would highly recommend it. It also has a full kitchen in the room. If the room does not have any pots and pans in it upon arrival, as I saw some reviews say this was a good hotel till […] they started taking the complementary cookware out of the rooms(which is untrue) then you should call the front desk and have them bring you some. It was right of 385 and close to downtown Greenville. We went to Anderson every day and it didn't take long to get to HWY 85 either. Will stay there again if I am ever in the Greenville area. "hawthorne suites - inexpensive but needs upgrading"
We got an excellent room rate at this hotel after power went out at our home for the evening. The room is a suite with a small couch, desk, full kitchen and queen bed. The appliances are at least 10 years old (not that we used them). The bed was comfy but only 2 pillows and one that looked like it was a much smaller than normal pillow size. The bathroom […] and the kitchen both looked like there had been serious water damage at some time in the past - dark brown stains on the ceilings, wallpaper peeling. It didn't really affect anything other than just plain ugly and if they let the rooms look like this what else is being deferred. Staff was helpful as we had problems getting connected to the internet. Breakfast the next morning was okay but nothing to write home about. Mostly regular continental breakfast with some egss and sausage tossed in. Hotel is convenient to interstate system and would be okay if you were just spending the night to get to somewhere else. "Torture platform bed"
Overall I wish I could give a better rating, The buildings were pretty nice and the room was large and comfortable, but the bed was the worst I've ever TRIED to sleep on. I ended up on the sofa to get any sleep at all.

Outside really could use a coat of paint. The rooms were nice and the bed very comfy. I would have liked a couple more pillows on the bed. The microwave stopped working after the second use, but all in all I enjoyed my stay.

Wonderful facility for the price! It is essentially an efficiency apartment with microwave, dishes, tableware, dishwasher, fireplace, etc, etc. The facility is aging but all was clean and very comfortable. Very good buy!

Overall our stay there was great, the only thing I think they could do is do some out side painting and update the kicthen appliances, they were very old. Everything was close by, a good location to downtown, mall and resturants.

The location is convenient. The hotel staff is friendly and check in is easy. The room we stayed in needs to be upgraded or repaired; tile and tub were cracked. The bed was VERY uncomfortable. Also, when the guests upstairs came in at 11:00 pm, you could hear them stomping around over us which woke us up. They left shortly after that and came back in […] around 1:00 AM. Again, you could hear them stomping around, and the ceiling over our heads was creaking quite loudly. This went on for over an hour, so needless to say, we were not as rested the next morning. "Hawthorne Inn and Suites"
Pretty decent place to stay overall. Was served both dinner and breakfast FREE WITH complimentary wine. The breakfast buffet has a great deal of choices to make mostly everyone happy, including french toast. The room was pretty nice, although the lighting isn't all that great so it will seem like you're walking into the woods. The Hawthorn Suites is an older hotel but is clean and comfortable. There are some maintances issues primarily with the exteria. Room was clean and the free hot breakfast was really good. Staff were really helpful and nice.

This hotel is not maintained at all. Lots of works needs to be done here. Bed sagged and was uncomfortable, towels were of poor quality. They did not change the sheets when requested.
