Un hôtel dans lequel j'ai dû faire une escale d'une nuit. Je n'ai pas pu profiter pleinement des activités proposées par l'hôtel par manque de temps. Ne comprenant pas l'anglais oral parfaitement, j'ai eu beaucoup de difficultés à comprendre par téléphone le lieu du rendez-vous de la navette de l'hôtel à l'aéroport (emplacement 26-H devant l'aéroport). Le lendemain à l'hôtel, devant partir pour l'aéroport avant 6h (heure à partir de laquelle le petit déjeuner est servi dans l'hôtel) du matin, je n'ai pas pu bénéficier du petit déjeuner (compris dans le prix de la chambre) car ils ne le donnent pas à emporter. A part ça, la chambre de l'hôtel est propre, très belle et confortable, et les horaires des navettes pour l'aéroport de l'hôtel (gratuites) sont très larges : de 4h30 du matin à minuit. Etrangement, on peut réserver pour 4 personnes une chambre qui n'a juste qu'un seul lit double.

L'hôtel se situe dans un quartier très calme, à proximité relative (compter entre 10 et 20 min de marche) de tout : restaurants, monuments, commerces. L' hôtel propose un système de gardiennage de voiture. Prévenir 20 min à l avance minimum pour retirer sa voiture. Les chambres sont propres, toutes non fumeurs. Le petit dejeuner est d anthologie!!! À proximité pour les enfants : la caserne des pompiers : les rire pan se prêtent volontiers à une visite improvisée, tentez votre chance.

Hotel bien situé pour visiter Alexandria et Washington (20mn/ 30mn de voiture du national mall et 15mn du vieux centre d'Alexandria). Chambre confortable et spacieuse (pas d'étagère pour poser ses vetements, mais un placard). La piscine extérieure est ouverte à partir du 1er mai. Très bon petit déjeuner buffet inclu dans le prix de la chambre avec tout ce qu'il faut : muffin, scones, gauffres à faire soi-même, oeufs, pain, jus, fruits, café , thé ...Quartier calme de banlieue américaine un peu chic. "proximité d'une station de métro"
Très bel hôtel, chambre très correcte mais dans nouvelle annexe moins glamour. Piscine et centre de fitness ouverts à tous, mais les mineurs (16 ans) doivent être accompagnés des parents. Personnels de réception extrêmement efficaces, certains parlent français. Quartier très sympathique, bien situé.
Hôtel vraiment très agréable, très bien situé à deux pas du métro et dans un quartier animé . Chambres spacieuses et confortables. Climatisation efficace mais un peu trop bruyante !. Personnel très sympathique..

Excellent rapport qualité/prix. Trés grand hotel à l'architecture discutable, mais au charme certain. Chambres spacieuses, mais salle de bain ridicule. Piscine trés agréable et joli jardin. Proximité du metro. Bon service.

Hôtel grande classe, très bon rapport qualité prix! Situé tout proche du métro , du zoo et d'une zone restaurant et bar. Pour le ptit déj je vous conseille l'Open City juste en face, terrible ! Chambre immense et confortable avec vue sur le parc. Seul bémol, les portes mal isolée, mais l'hôtel est relativement calme !
"Good hotel with terrible valet service"
The folks at the reception were nice, but....They took $39 for 24 hour valet parking and then took almost one hour to get my car back from the parking lot when I checked out. It was absolutely chaotic in front, with 50+ people checking out at the same time. One passenger from a limo had to come out to clear traffic in front of the hotel because he was […] getting late for his flight. The hotel should have better valet service than that. "Charming old hotel"
The hotel is a lovely old hotel in excellent condition. The East entrance is a beautiful, park-like setting beautifully landscaped. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. The metro is just across the street, and there are lots of great restaurants in walking distance. My only complaint is that the only hotel parking available is expensive […] valet parking, but we parked in a garage up in the Cleveland Park area near our son's apartment very inexpensively. "Old-Style Luxury - Reasonable Price"
This is an impeccably maintained old-style luxury hotel., well located, well-run, and a pleasure to stay at. Every facet of our stay was top-drawer, except the price, which was more reasonable than newer chain hotels. The hotel is just steps from the Red Line, & was convenient to everything in DC.

"A Classic Suite"
We stayed in a Classic Suite. Being a family of 5 we needed the extra room. My only complaint is that the pull out sofa was ancient and the mattress was so poor no one could sleep on it. We crammed 5 into the 2 queen beds. Spending the extra on the suite did not pay off. Also, there was a large convention going on that made it hard to catch one of the […] only two very small elevators to get to your room. If there was anyone other then us in the elevator the stoller was impossible to fit. I don't know that the hotel is as family friendly if your family is young as it promotes to be. Lisez la suite
Our room was in the newer wing. It was small for 2 adults and 2 kids but very clean. The pool was a big hit and nice to come back to after a day of sight seeing. Convenient to the metro, fun neighbirhood

"Omni Shoreham Washington DC Family Friendly"
Stayed here several times over past few years. It's a great summer vacation spot for families that would enjoy National Zoo in morning and like to spend the heat of the afternoon in the resort style outdoor pool and lovely grounds. "Pricey Valet"
I did not research thoroughly about the parking in this hotel. I thought the place was far enough the distance from the capital that it would offer free parking. When I arrived, I asked for a self-parking and the attendant simply told me that there is not any. That led to another unpleasant discovery and surprise that there is an additional charge of […] $38+ per day for valet parking alone!!! So all the appearance of a good deal online and was my deciding factor of choosing this hotel was basically a sham. It was such a hassle having the car in the valet. When I got to my room I remember that I left some stuff in the car, so I had to call the valet ahead of time and waited on the lobby for my car. The next day, I forgot to take my water bottles and the same thing happen all over again. The breakfast was $20 per person. What a rip off. Homewood Suites have better value with a free breakfast and a lite dinner and you would get a suite with two beds and a sofa bed with comparable price and closer to the attraction. I was disappointed that there was no more cherry blossom to see. The hotel garden compensated the experience with its beautiful tulips that were in full bloom. Everything in the neighborhood was expensive and designed for tourists. Even the gas station nearby is also a rip off with 98 cents/gallon above the normal price. This hotel is 3 miles away from the National Monument. There is a rent-a-bike station and Metro very close to the hotel. But if you're traveling with kids like me, your car is your best bet. "Wonderful Location"
The Omni Shoreham is in one of my favorite neighborhoods in DC. At the special rate we got through hotels.com, it can't be beat! A beautiful luxury hotel with lots of history. It is one of the grande dames of DC hotels, built around 1930. The rooms were charming, comfortable, updated, and spacious. The breakfast buffet is absolutely wonderful, but expensive. […] There are, however, other breakfast alternatives in the surrounding neighborhood. The hotel looks out upon Rock Creek Park in the back, and also has its own beautiful garden. "Great hotel, food, staff, location....but"
I had two complaints. For the room rate, I ought to have decent pillows and a functioning thermostaat. Also if the pool is open, the pool bar need to be open I was told to order room service which took almostn90 minutes. The hotel was beautiful, well maintained, great location and I hope to return.

"Nice location - Robert's subpar"
I liked the hotel overall. A little intimidating walking in with the big chandeliers and everyone walking around in business attire. Got to the room (king bed) and was decent size, big bathroom And had an old-fashion feel to it. Had to ask the front desk for a disposable razor and they quickly confirmed they had one and to come to the concierge to pick […] it up and got there and they couldn't find it. It was delivered to the room sometime after but we already left the hotel. Went to Robert's Restaurant for dinner and got dressed up thinking it was a big deal but really wasn't. Wine was way overpriced and had a small selection of food on the menu. We skipped the appetizer (nothing looked too appetizing) and both got entrees. My girlfriend got the salmon ($34) and it was cooked perfectly and had great seasoning. I got the stuffed shrimp ($36) and it was very good but only 3 shrimp so was not worth the money. No sides offered but came with some kind of vegetable medley which I did not even try. The hotel is located between Georgetown and a spot the taxi driver called Adams Morgan. We went to Adams Morgan for drinks at night and was a fun time. Went to Georgetown the following day for a relaxing stroll through the old City and was pretty neat but take plenty of money and be ready to be around some wealth. Lisez la suite
"Beautiful hotel"
The lobby area reminded me and my friend of our trip to Vegas. From check-in to check-out, we could not have asked for a more convenient and well kept hotel. We will definitely be returning to this one next time we are in D.C.

"Not worth it!"
Shower was backed up. Took shower standing in a tub of backup from drain. To make matters worse, we had to ask 3x times (over 3 days) to get someone to fix it. Hotel had alot of nice extra stuff but seriously lacked in the basics. In addition, they hijack you (with nothing stated in advertisement) that parking is $32 a day. Not worth it!!

I have stayed here before and because I had such a positive experience I was willing to return. The service the attentiveness and spacious rooms are superior. I also always have room service and it's always on time.

"Small Room but Great Staff"
The rooms are quaint. Nothing special but did have a nice tv. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful and the hotel does have a lot of character and history. It is also right next to the metro so it's easy to get around.

"grand old hotel, updated and in fabulous shape"
Lots of famous people including the Beatles have stayed at the Shoreham. It's now updated and seems to be in very good shape. Everything was perfect -- especially appreciated the on location shoe-shine guy (I think his name was Tony?): super nice guy and the service really helped with wintery grime on the shoes. Recently stayed at the Omni Shoreham for a conference nearby. Upon a late night arrival, the staff were wonderful and friendly. The rooms are older, but updated and comfortable. Bed was very comfotable. While the floors can be a bit creaky, the rooms and the hotel in general were very quiet. Food at the restaurant is solid. "Great location, comfortable hotel"
It felt luxurious, but was reasonably priced (off-season, anyway). The hotel food was obscenely expensive, but who cares in a neighborhood with so many places to eat and rink? I would stay again.
