"A place to rest when everything else is sold out"
We stayed at the Econolodge in Beckley on our way to Florida. All of the other hotels in the area were booked and the Econolodge was the only place that was reasonably priced with availability. It was clean, in that the linens looked clean, the bathroon was clean, and there was no evidence of any bugs of any sort. That said the smell of the room was […] overpowering when we entered it. The strong musty smell was like nothing I'd ever experienced in a motel. The sheets were very thin and almost thread bare. There burn marks on the blankets and the bathtub. It did what we needed, it was a place to rest and sleep late at night until we could get on the road again the next morning, but it would not be my choice of places to stay. My kids were scared and we were all unsettled being there. They do serve breakfast of white bread and bagels, donuts and pastries. There may have been a couple of cereals to choose from, but in fairness I didn't take a good look. I grabbed a couple of cups of orange juice for my kids and we headed out. "Econo Lodge Beckley WVa"
Hotel was convenient to the interstate and ample restaurants across the street. New section room was OK but not the best, older section in the rear of the property, I cant comment on. A place to hang your hat, but not ideal next to a cemetary.

"Nice for the Price"
The room was very clean and comfortable but pretty small for a king. Far cleaner and quite a bit nicer than the HoJo next door where we have also stayed. Only inconvenience is that the hotel is split into three buildings so if you want ice or breakfast and your room is not in the main building, it is somewhat inconvenient

We had a good stay. The room was what we expected for the price we paid, plus they're pet friendly with no extra fee. All the staff were courteous. We had one issue with a broken hair dryer but a replacement was delivered within minutes. Good location for our planned activities. Plenty of restaurants within 5 minutes of hotel. A couple of minutes off […] I-77 and only 15-20 minutes from the slopes. I would recommend this hotel as long as you understand this isn't a 5 star but it is a nice place to stay for the price you pay. Lisez la suite
"No service at all. No way shape or form."
We were in town because our grandmother was in a Hospice facility down the road. We had 3 rooms adjoining and not one of the rooms was cleaned after we checked in and not one time did they bring us more towels or anything.

"beckley staff"
The staff at Beckley were very helpful. Coming from out of state late at night, they were willing and able to give directions and were very patient.

"Pet Friendly"
It was very nice place to stay that is pet friendly, which we have to look for now a days. The price is pretty good also. We were traveling thru & just needed to spend one night. Will stay again next trip.

Easy to find ,parked in front of room,easy excess to wifi,adequate breakfast

"Econo Lodge"
The hotel is old and has multiple buildings. The service was very good, the breakfast bar was adequate, and the room was very clean. Since the hotel was older, I did not find it appealing for the price. I also thought it was a bit expensive because of that. The WIFI system was down and was not working.

I would like to see a discounr on our hotel for our returne trip at the same hotel on March 15 2011.
"Beckley Econolodge--pet friendly"
It was ok. The hotel is near a few decent places to eat, and the place was clean for a hotel that accepts pets. If I didn't have my dog with me, I wouldn't have stayed there
"not convenient stay"
I booked this hotel because I was traveling with my mother ,and the description listed an elevator, which we needed and refrigerator in the room,which was needed to keep my mothers medication. Because I requested a smoking room, we were put in a separate building, away from the office and the free continental breakfast. The first morning we discovered […] that the breakfast wasn't worth the trip over from our building. The housekeeping staff did a good job with what they had to work with, stained boxsprings on the beds, stained sink countertop and just a small cramped room. Lisez la suite

We needed a hotel that was midway between Michigan and South Carolina. This hotel fit the bill. It was a very busy weekend in Beckley. Charlie Daniels Band was giving a concert there, so all the accommodations in town were sold out. The EconoLodge met my expectations, and for the price, it was a good place to stay.

The smell of SMOKE in this room was horriffic! I will never stay at this hotel again. Very disappointed.

We went to Wva for a Memorial ceremony of one of our family memebers and stayed at this hotel. The hotel was very clean and nice. The only thing was the noise from the other room next door seemed that the kids were awake running in and out all night. But other than that this was a very nice hotel and staff was friendly. "Nice hotel for an overnight stay..."
The hotel is clean albeit dated and the people working there are very friendly. The best part is they don't charge for pets and there are no limits to the amount of pets you can have unlike many other "pet friendly" hotels. We stay at this hotel every year on our way back from Florida with our three dogs. The lady in the breakfast room even remembers […] us and asks if we are headed to Florida or back from there. All in all I would recommend this hotel for someone with pets looking for a clean friendly place to stay. Lisez la suite
