"For the price, it's good enough"
For the price, it served its purpose. I would not pay more than that, although I think a few dollars less wouldve been more fair.. It was clean enough from what I could see and the room did not stink. It had a bit of a musty smell as you went in, but it would go away once you turn on the AC. Had basic cable and HBO so that was a plus. Staff was friendly. […] Breakfast was fresh. The breakfast room was a bit crowded but you can't expect much for that price. "Just a little more effort would change my opinion"
My stay wasn't altogether bad, but there were a lot of simple things that it seemed the hotel didn't care about. 1) It took me forever to find the motel since their big lighted sign was either burnt out or not turned on. I passed it 3-4x before realizing it was right next to the Manor Inn. In the dark, it is really hard to see even with GPS guidance. 2) […] The hotel wasn't full, but they stuck me in the furthest away room, just out of range of the free wifi. If you advertise free wifi, you need to make sure it can be used in all rooms. I had one unusable bar of wifi signal despite a strong antenna. 3) Shampoo bottles were opened and had not been changed from the previous guest. 4) There were no power outlets on the same side of the room as the desk. In fact, the room was nearly devoid of unused outlets, with just one available across the room and one by the sink. This is a minor room flaw, but one that is sure to annoy people who need to charge phones and laptops. 5) Tried the breakfast once, and I think the juice machines were broken because they tasted like water. On the positive side, the front desk staff were really friendly. Check in and check out were efficient. The room did not smell funny and other than the open shampoo bottles, seemed to be otherwise clean and ready for new guests. I probably should have shared some of my minor concerns with the staff, but the room was really just a place for me to sleep, and the late hours I was keeping did not afford me a lot of time to spend switching rooms or complaining. Being an end room, my room may have been designed a little differently from some of the others, so the wifi and outlet problems may have been unique. All in all, I'll choose someplace else next time I'm in College Station, but I think that with just a little bit of effort (turn on your dang sign!!), I would have been completely satisfied. "One is good as another."
Everything was great except he internet didnt work! That was a major factor in a college town that we were there and NEEDED to access the interest. If I had wanted to sit at Denny's or Starbucks the entire stay I would of stayed somewhere closer.
The money for the hotel was cheap. It was bad planning on my part in staying there. The hotel is next to a cemetary. The door was stuck and would not open without extreme pressure. The continental breakfast was miserable, extremely poor. Thank goodness we were hardly in the room. O, the picture on the page is not this hotel.
"Day's Inn"
This motel was fair. My biggest complaint was the front desk called our room when I was showering to tell us water was leaking into the room below us! There was no water on th floor, so this was a plumbing problem. It was ok as far as motels go, but they apparently need better maintenance.

"Stinky room"
Our room was stinky. Maybe cigarettes, maybe pot. Anyway we could not switch rooms w/o a $15.00 up charge since we'd booked thru Hotels.com. Crummy. We could have for the second day I believe but did not want to unpack and repack. Also the hottub was not functioning. Would have been nice in the clear 35 degree weather.

This hotel needs major repair and upgrades. The door to our room was broken and would not lock properly. The stairway to the second floor outside our room had broken welds and rusted steel and looked dangerous. The room was dirty. The TV did not even have the weather channel. The ice machine was not working. The room smelled like smoke even though it […] was a non smoking room. It was a mistake to stay here since we could have found a better hotel for the same price. "Ags vs. SMU"
I like being able to book the hotel for a single night. I understand many college towns with good football programs have minimum night stays but when it's a Sunday night game (unusual) and I could easily book online without any hassels, it gives me more reason to stay here I do think the hotel could use an upgrade on appearance and ammenities, but […] for the value it suited me and my family fine. "Days Inn was way under par."
Room was not clean, Floors & furnishings were worn, Beds were uncomfortable. Stairs to 2nd floor rooms are way to steep in slope (no elevator at this hotel, all rooms are outside accessed). Almost fell twice going up & down. Parking was not well marked, lighted, and spaces were limited. Lobby was run down and worn. The hotel needs a major renovation […] to be up to par with others in its class. No one could confirm my booked rate, nor did my outgoing invoice show the invoiced amount. THE AIR CONDITIONER IN OUR FIRST ROOM DID NOT WORK, SO THEY MOVED US TO A SECOND ROOM. THE AIR IN THERE DID NOT WORK WELL. BOTH OF WHICH HAD A STRANGE ODOR. THIS HOTEL IS IN MUCH NEED OF A REMODEL. I WILL NOT STAY THERE AGAIN.
the only problem we had was the toliet run constantly! did not hear the trains blowing horns (early am), as we had read in lots of the other reviews! staff was helpful & it was a good room for the price! would stay again!!

Attending a Softball Tournament in College Station and this Hotel was only 2 miles from where were playing. Lots of food places close by. Front desk personne were very polite and curtious. Cost very reasonable.
"Bloody sheets."
I read the reviews before reserving a room. I figured that most of them came from a bunch of prima donnas who couldn't handle anything short of a 5 star room. I apologize to those who warned me of this place. When the little woman and I turned down the sheets to call it a day, we found blood....and not just a little. One spot was about 10 square inches. […] The multiple other spots were too numerous to count. The blood was freshly dried and soaked through into the mattress pad. It appeared that a woman on her period had sat on the bed. No insult to women. That is what it appeared to be by the judgment of the little woman. It was not an old stain that had been through the laundry. It was freshly dried blood. I called the front desk and aroused Sean who seem baffled as to what to do. In short, he brought us clean sheets and we changed our own bed. It was too late to find another motel and this dump didn't have any more rooms like ours. It would be better to sleep in your car than sleep in a motel that doesn't change the sheets...especially blood-soaked ones. Lisez la suite

"Days Inn College Station"
Not the best, and not the worst. An example of you get what you pay for... the bed was fine and the room mostly clean. Some obvious maintenance issues (hole in the bathroom wall), but overall not terrible. The cleaning folks missed items from the past tenant. The breakfast area needs a deep cleaning and re-thinking of what products are offered (healthier […] foods are not necessarily more expensive). Overall, it met our needs and was a bit less expensive than other hotels -- should have been less than what we paid for the value we received, but everything costs more these days. Lisez la suite

"BEWARE"
We had booked this room in May and were anxiously wanting to get settled in. Our room smelled so mildewed and musty. The front door would not close properly, We had to constantly slam it and then dead bolt it to make it close. The toilet was broken. It ran practically all night. "Good & clean for the price."
Two nights for a tennis tournament. The hotel (& the rooms) are a little run down. But they were clean & functional. Had a small microwave & fridge. Breakfast was good (but NO meat). Cereal, muffins, fruit, mediocre eggs & nice Texas shaped waffles. Great location for all events at the Univ. or for the south side of BCS. The service was prompt. The bed was comfortable. We thought we would need another blanket on such a cold night but the temperature (heating)in the room was perfect and we never felt cold. Thank you again

The staff was very nice but the hotel was not in good shape. The walls and ceiling were stained, and dirty, as well as cracked and dinged-up. Needs renovation badly. I've been in worse, but I certainly wouldn't stay here again.

The clerk was very nice and very helpful to help me find a location I was looking for. He went to the trouble of printing a map and also up graded my room for me. I was in town for only one night so my stay was short but comfortable..

Room was very clean. Staff was very friendly. Very close to A&M campus. Enjoyed my stay. Will be coming back here for every trip to College Station from now on. Would highly recommend staying here.
