"Not so good - Pas si bien"
The terrace is only used for dinner so only once during our journey. Breakfast is in a busy and noisy big room and the quality of food not so good. The room isn't so pretty and the bathroom too small to be comfortable. We asked information to the reception about public shuttle to go to the airport and they refused to answer. The hotel shuttle was expensive […] (47 euros) and the driver didn't get the change. That's irresponsible from the hotel as they refused to be paid in advance. In my opinion, this kind of big hotel found through large website isn't so good as the service and quality are minimum. Look at a more pretty or romantic hotel in the historic center, it should be better. Lisez la suite
"hotel correct et bien situé"
Chambres correctes, hotel bien situé, mais le petit dejeuner est vraiment limite
GOOD: Hotel is located diagonally across the central station. Less than 5 minutes walk. It is easy for travel especially when you need to lug the luggage with 4 teen kids. Hotel room was good. SUGGESTION: Breakfast spread was generally good for the western but it will be nice if they can add some asian food in there as 50% of the tourist we see at […] the breakfast lounge are asians. Still, we loves the breakfast. BAD: There is a particular reception staff that refuse to open his mouth each time we ask him for information. His reply was vague and reluctant. He will not look at his computer while we spoke and even when he reply. We then stand at a corner to observe twice and realize that he spoke in this manner to the asians only. GENERAL: The rest of the staffs were good. I hope this rotten apple won't spoil the image of this hotel. We highly recommend this hotel. Pray that you asians will not be served by him. Lisez la suite

"train station Rome"
An excellent hotel near the train station . Everyone was super helpful and a great deal on a room in Rome. A 4 minute walk to the Termini Roma
"Bettoja Hotel Meditarraneo-Convenient Location"
We had a great stay possibly for the reason that the hotel is quite close to Termini Station and other facilities. It also offers walking distance to tourist attractions. Room was spacious and had good amenities. Breakfast was also reasonable.
"MY stay!"
I spent 2 nights there for our honeymoon, the hotel has old style furniture but clean. The bed is comfortable as well as the bathroom. Restroom was modify to modern style.

"Close to train and transit"
For the price it was what we expected - small room & no view. But, we weren't planning on spending much time in the hotel so it was just fine for us. There was a pretty good selection for breakfast and the staff were very pleasant.
"Great Hotel near Railroad Station"
If you are wanting a very comfortable beautiful hotel very close to main railroad station, this is it! Less than 10 blocks away and well worth the price.; Excellent breakfast buffet, courteous staff and very comfortable room.
"Bettoja Mediteraneo- Noisy but convenient location"
Very noisy, Beautiful reception area, personnel OK, not especially friendly, V Crowded, Breakfast average.
"Bettoja Hotel Mediterraneo in Rome"
Only bad thing I found was, this hotel had very loud plumbing and thin walls so it was quite noisy. Otherwise a very nice hotel and great for getting to the Ciampino Airport by bus. Good public transport links to other parts of Rome and beyond too.
A stones throw from Roma Termini - easy to find, and plenty close to all the main sights to see. Very nice accomodations.
"Terrace and Train"
The location is excellent to walk from and to the train station. The terrace gives a view of the entire city.
"bettoja del mediterraneo on via cavour"
the hotel overall good, but the friendliness of the staff at the front desk left a lot to be desired. they just seemed a little unfriendly. they should work on that.

"Left early"
We left the hotel early because we were a) dissatisfied with the cleanliness of the room and b) attitude of the staff. Our room smelled, had #2 stains on the toilet that should have been cleaned and stains, hair and a bottle cap in our sheets. When we asked for a new room, the staff could not accommodate us due to being booked but also could not give […] us a new sheet because it was late. They couldn't understand what the big deal was. My family left a day early and luckily found a room at Hotel Diocleziano nearby. MUCH cleaner and friendlier staff. Well worth losing a night's worth of hotel fee. Lisez la suite

"Super Location"
The Hotel is located rite by the biggest train and bus station in Rome. You can access all of Rome and pretty much all of Italy from the train station, super convenient. There will be no need for expensive European cabs. The Hotel Staff was the best, the WiFi was terrible but that was the only negative I could say. I would stay there again, Rome is […] Fantastic!!! We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. It has a great location. When you arrive at the hotel, they will tell you about the green line hop on and hop on bus. Do not book it right away as there are three companies offering cheaper rates. The hotel charges euro 55 to take us to the airport by taxi as it was before 7 a.m. (a surcharge of 15%), but we took […] the train for euro 14 each. Other than that, it is a great hotel. Good breakfast also. Lisez la suite
"Very convenient by Train Station Termini"
Staff was excellent. Spoke English well and made good recommendations.
"Bettoja Hotel Mediterrano - Rome"
This hotel is a good choice for travelers catching a flight or a train in the morning. It is a short walk from the main train terminal in Rome - no taxi is necessary. It is in close proximity to sites such as the National Museum of Rome and the church of Santa Maria Maggiore. In addition, the Hop On - Hop Off buses are readily accessible from the hotel. […] The room was adequate and the air conditioning worked well. I would not recommend the roof top restaurant. The food was expensive and mediocre. The breakfast buffet was good. Lisez la suite
"The large rat killed my score"
Hey- I'm a pretty tough guy and have slept in some very rough places in my life, but my experience at this hotel was shocking for me. First of the all the hotel is well appointed and overall nice in appearance for a sub-5 star Eurpean hotel. The reception desk staff was about 50-50 on politeness and helpfulness meter. Actually a little nicer than the […] norm for Italy. One desk clerk was a douche-bag when I asked him to help me call a resturant for dinner reservations. Another one was terrific. Others were just ok...so you learned which ones to go to for help. But after putting all of the little piddly stuff aside (like slow elevators), there were 2 major problems during my stay that made me downgrade my rating from around a 4 to more like a 2. 1) the AC in my room never cooled off my room the entire weekend (and it was hot in mid August.) Evidently they have a sophisticated energy managment system that can be controled from a computer at the front desk, but even though i called and visited the desk several times to have them look at my AC, all they did was assure me that they set the temp lower and it would eventually cool off. It never did. I guess I should have raised hell to be moved to another room (I'm pretty sure the place was fully booked)...but i was too focused on enjoying my time in Rome...so we made the best of it. 2) The morning after our first night, I went downstairs to check out the complementary breakfast before my family woke up. Near the dining room and bar area, there was a set of stairs that led down to the conference area and restrooms. I thought i would check it out, but as I started to go down the stairs, I saw something scurry along the stairs out of the corner of my eye. Startled, I looked harder and IT WAS AN FRIGGIN RAT! A good sized one, too. I think he was more scared of me than i was of him. But he seemed trapped and looking for an emergency exit. In disbelief, I walked over to the lobby and front desk to tell them about my rat sightin Lisez la suite

"Bettoja Hotel Mediterrneo in Roma"
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. From check-in to departure, the staff was helpful and friendly - they allowed early check-in and arranged transportation to airport upon our departure. The staff was well versed in English as well as Spanish and Italian. The breakfast buffet was excellent, staftt was efficient and courteous. The rooftop bar view […] was stunning . Hotel was in an excellent location with close proximity to the train station and many historic sites. A+ all the way! Lisez la suite

"Good Hotel if you don't need A/C or internet"
The hotel is clean and well-maintained. The service desk crew is mixed, from very helpful to borderline rude. The biggest problems were the A/C and the internet. By design the A/C is limited, both in the times it could be on, and thermostat settings, clearly to save the hotel electrical costs. This resulted in a room that was always hot, with the evening […] outside air being cooler than the inside. The hotel advertises free Wi-Fi, but the Wi-Fi signal and bandwidth was non-existent in my room, and very spotty, virtually useless, even in the lobby. The hotel also uses a system that requires a new password every day. You could literally spend 30 minutes just trying to check email. Do not expect internet access at this hotel. Lisez la suite

"next to the train station"
Very close to the train station, but as you will learn about italian train stations, they are never in the most glamourous parts of town. About a 25 minute walk to the Roman Forum, took a taxi (15 euro) to the Vatican. Hotel feels very 1970s classy but it is nice. We also got the 2 twin bed room which is a bit weird (prefer 1 queen) but the room and […] bathroom were large. also - free wifi! Lisez la suite
"Bettoja Hotel Mediterraneo-close to train station"
This is an old hotel, but convenient to the train station. They initially gave me a room on their lowest floor, right next to the stairway although I specifically asked to be away from any exits and elevators. Although clean, this room was small and clearly had not been renovated. Icomplained and they did changed me to a room on a higher floor, which […] was larger and had been renovavated. The breakfast buffet was good, and restaurant staff friendly. The elevators are tiny and slow. I would recommend, but choose the room carefully. Lisez la suite
"Mediteraneo - Rome - Convenience & Cleanliness"
Great hotel, central location, and pretty good service. Only 2 downsides, the Wifi is intermittent, and the breakfast is exactly the same everyday ( not even minor changes to the menu) making it very unappetizing!
"Great hotel in a convenient location"
Just finished a 5 night stay in the Mediterraneo Hotel. The hotel was great. Good size rooms, clean, helpful staff, good breakfast, free wifi, large lobby etc. What the area around the hotel lacks in charm it makes up for in convenience. Located just across the street from Termnini Station the main train station in Rome with bus stops, metro, taxi and […] trolley all across the road. Good value for the money. I would suggest using Green Line Tours rather than the other main tour bus. Green Line was more organized, had newer buses and is across the street from the hotel. Lisez la suite
"Bettoja Hotel Mediterraneo - expensive"
Having been to Rome the week before and stayed at another hotel that was nicer and half the price, I would say this hotel is expensive for what it is. The "rooftop garden" is part of their restaurant. Not sure how this has recieved 4-star rating...I don't agree.
"Recommended"
We are group of three people. The room was large enough for three people and the third person got the regular full size bed like the others. The location cannot be better. The breakfast is good. Recommended.
"Central,Clean and Welcoming"
We have just returned from our european tour and this hotel was among one of the finer places we stayed at. We stayed at 12 different hotels through France and Italy. We had a room on the 7th floor and besides the occassional car horn ( window open) the noise was very minimal. Beds comfortable. Finding the hotel was the only issue as it is not labeled […] the' Bettoja' it is labelled the' Meditereano' this is minor but we drove ourselves in and had to do 3 laps of the block. All in all this is a great stay. 4 Star .. Lisez la suite
"Bettoja Hotel Mediterraneo - Superb location!"
As we were coming into land in Rome I was reading the in-flight mag and noticed an advert for a Shuttle bus that goes from the airport to the Termini (The main bus and train terminal in Rome). I can't remember the name of the shuttle, but when coming out of "Arrivals", look in the far-right corner of the room and there's a ticket booth. We paid about […] 12 Euros (I think) for 2 x return tickets. This was a fraction of the price that I thought I'd have to pay for a taxi! The bus took us straight to the Termini (non-stop) in a nice air-con'd bus. When I stepped off the bus I checked the map and found that Bettoja Hotel Mediterraneo was 2 streets away!!! LANDED! :) I was more than surprised at the quality of the hotel. Everything from the lobby, reception staff, toilets, breakfast area, rooms, the lot... they were all brilliant. Lobby was clean and tidy. Recption staff friendly and efficient. Toilets (downstairs) immaculate. Breakfast room was full on our first day... so they opened up a SECOND breakfast room for the overflow, which was just as nice! Now onto the room. We were on the 8th floor. We couldn't hear ANY road noise, despite being so close to the Termini. There were electric blinds that blocked out the sun in the mornings, so sleep was amazing. The bed was SOOOOOOO comfy. Bathroom was stunning (included a nice, warm, powerful, shower). The bidet was handy for washing my feet in after walking miles everyday. There was a TV, which (somehow) was showing the Heineken Cup (rugby) - Happy Days! The rest of the channels were foreign but there were the standard News Channels in English. The hotel had FREE wi-fi, but I think it was on the blink up on the 8th floor, because it was VERY slow and my wife's phone (for some reason) only connected to it ONCE in the 4 days we were there. We both have iPhones... mine connected, her's didn't... no idea why. Even though it was slow and had to reconnect alot, it was great because I could use WhatsApp to contact friends and fami Lisez la suite

"Convenient to Ancient Rome"
Just returned from Rome. Hotel is located in a nice area - within walking distance of Ancient Rome. Lodging is comfortable, nice view from roof top restaurant, good neighborhood. Front Desk staff was not particularly friendly, internet was spotty and breakfast was average. However, overall a pleasant stay.
Cost too much for a small room
"Mediterraneo a good bargain great location"
This property was a hidden gem and great value for the money. We took the train from Nice and were able to walk from Termini station less than a block to the hotel. The staff was excellent and very friendly. The room was old-world elegance. We arrived in on Holy Saturday and were still able to book a tour through the front desk for Easter Sunday. There […] are many great attractions and ruins within walking distance to the hotel. There is a nice bar/restaurant on the tenth floor which allows seating outside as well and offers stunning views all the way to St. Peters. I will definately stay here again next time I'm in Rome.
