Super hotel! très bien situé avec une belle plage.

Très bon rapport qualité-prix pour Waikiki et surtout excellente localisation : directement sur la plage et à 2 pas des nombreux resto et magasins.

The hotel was wonderful. Very clean, rooms cleaned early and staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. We found restaurants and shopping were very close and the shuttles were also close by. I felt being off Kalakau Ave it didn't feel as busy. Wonderful vacation and will come back to the Outrigger again.

We loved the hotel but would have liked larger beds.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was very convenient to everything. We liked the restaurants and the pool. Our only complaint would be that there weren't any comfortable chairs in the room. It would be nice to have some chairs to sit in to watch tv or to read in.

The Outrigger Reef is in a perfect location, with a very friendly and attentive staff. We had a great stay. The room was incredibly comfortable and the hotel was beautiful. We stayed in a room with two double beds and we felt the space for the 3 of us was kind of small (closet and restroom areas). Room was in very good conditions, clean and everything very well taken care of ( and I am demanding on that). The location was awesome. Food at the restaurant was nice too. I was disappointed with the concierge and her ability […] to schedule me some activities. She was lazy and told me about that one activity was full for that day without searching for more options or places to sit. I had to call myself directly to find what I was looking for. I would also recommend to check the location of the type of room you are requesting to make sure you get what you want. The website of the Hotel offer a colorful diagram where you can see in detail room locations. We did it and we got the room type we were looking for. Watch out, there was a kitchen fire a day after we left and I am sure they took care of everything meaning that they probably renewed things, but keep an eye open. Lisez la suite

We have just spent a week at this hotel celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and would gladly recommend it. We were very pleased with its convenient location - near shopping and restaurants, opposite convenient public parking which was perfect for our rental car and, best of all, right on the beach. Two enduring memories for us will likely be: 1. […] the lovely music by the pool each evening 6-9pm (usually Hawaiian-style music) - we would sit on our balcony and enjoy the gentle sounds floating up from below; and 2. the delightful Ocean House Restaurant which was our favourite breakfast venue at the hotel - an elegant, colonial feel to it, right on the beach. The hotel was really nice, we got a great room, and were impressed with our partial ocean view, which was better than we had expected. Service was also great. The only minor drawback was the traffic getting in and out, since it's in such a crowded area, though the valet service was fast!

Good value for the money.

If you want to be right near the action without having to have the bustle at your doorstep this is a great option. If you need assistance to find or travel somehwere then maybe not? My dilemma stems from the fact that most times we tried to have the concierge point us in a direction or help us with touring details they were helpful but distracted by […] trying to push the timeshare association they have. This was so off putting as had had such great hotels just so willing to assist with any arrangement, but it almost seemed like if they were not getting some benefit back. We may have been unlucky with timing at the desk but this was our general feel. They have a great Cafe/restaurant, an excellent view over the water. The Shore Bird a nice spot indeed. However, having been told this was a highly regarded buffet breakfast we may have had our expectations too high. This is nicely set out hotel, and the entertainment in the lobby of excellent quality too. The shop assistant we spoke with, Jenette, was probably the best guide of any we have had the experience with on our holiday. She spoke about places with good esperiences, and really made our last few days in Oahu memorable. The rooms were quite spacious, but the lack of king beds need to be addressed, which is why the comfort of the room was not as high as it should be. The view of the shoreline to horizon was quite impressive, from sunrise to dusk. May stay here again. Lisez la suite

Walking distance to many varied restaurants, shopping, Waikiki Beach, the harbor and post office so didn't need to to pay to "house" a car overnight. Three restaurants in hotel varied and all enjoyable. Free wifi and printing of boarding passes. Very friendly and accomodating staff.

A lovely hotel in an area convenient to Waikiki beach, shopping, restaurants, anything your heart would desire in downtown Honolulu. Service standards at the hotel are high, friendly, happy...made for a great break.

We enjoyed our stay to the fullest! It is nice and clean along with a touch of luxury! It has a refrigerator in the room and they are very hospitable with the guests leaving late. All we had to do is check out and the bell staff held our luggage and we were able to enjoy the pool and use their hospitality room to get ready for our travels. We had the most wonderful stay at Outrigger Reef. We booked a 'partial ocean view' room for our honeymoon but upon check we were upgraded to an 'ocean front penthouse room'! There was even champagne waiting for us when we got to our room that night. The rooms are beautiful and romantic. The staff, which were everywhere, were very friendly and helpful. This hotel was recommended to us and now we know why. We had a great time here. Reasonably priced food. Walk right out on to the beach. Walk into great shopping. People were nice. Loved the lobby and the live music. A very festive atmosphere. We would go there again in a heartbeat. Aloha!

Chose hotel after reading other peoples reviews, just a little down from the stretch of Waikiki hotels, but still just a short stroll along the beach to the action or up Lewers Ave to the shopping. Great restaurants close by - a little quieter than being near the Royal Hawaiian. A very nice hotel, clean and comfortable. All the amenities. from the check in to the check out we rate this hotel as very satisfactory. The check in clerk upgraded our room which was soooo kind of him. We loved the location, close to Roys and Ruth Chris steak house. A nice limo waiting to take us to airport for same price as taxi. Great vacation!!!! One things wrong. Nice hotel, Nice restuarants, interesting activities during the day, like lei making. Can book any island/inter island activity at the hotel. Great location for public transport. Good location to walk along the beach. Just off the main road so not much street noise, Close to shops and restuarants. All Tours pick you up from Hotels across the road, so […] not much of an issue. Stayed in a partial ocean view, which was nice. The only thing that I wasnt impressed with was when using the computers in the business area. I had a word document file i needed to print. I tried to print and the printer wouldnt work. I notify staff that it was buggered and they stated that it was up to me to fix! Dont think so! We were overall satisfied. The rooms were nice, service was great! Only complaints are the mandatory expensive valet parking and pool was cold. Located right on the east end of Waikiki Beach, this is a beautiful hotel. Our "City View" room looked out over the pool courtyard and offered a view of the Pacific from the lanai. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. On site restaurants were expensive (though probably typical for Honolulu/Waikiki) and meals were good, though not exceptional. My […] one complaint is the "concierge" desk help. The staff at these desks (2 in the large hotel) did not seem to be there as much to help as to sell tours and meetings at which the property owner would present "information" about other properties. I don't like Wikiki. That's a lot of the problem. However, there WAS another problem. I was told that I could watch the new year's eve fireworks from a particular location a half hour before the started. But just after the fireworks started, security came and told us (and the 15 other people there) that would we could not stay there to watch the fireworks. Clearly, […] the employees who told we could watch there were mistaken. I get that. But once the fireworks started, security (and the manager he called up to deal with the situation) should have looked at the context and waited until the end of the show to remove us. Rather than simply correcting a mistake made by others --perhaps as they intended to do-- they turned it into a very unpleasant situation for me a on New Year's Eve. Family of 4 with two teenage sons - stayed 3 nights. Very nice hotel, good location. Very convenient to all beach activities, restaurants, and shopping. Easy access in and out with rental car - used valet parking which was somewhat expensive but convenient. Laundry facilities and workout room good. On the best place on waikiki beach. One of the few hotels with access directly to the beach. Great front beach bar. Staff was great. I would definetely go back to the same hotel.

There are towers that were newly renovated and the rooms were very lovely. Ours had a big balcony by the swimming pool. The resort is close to many malls and stores, the busy touristy area of Waikiki. It's a bit commercialized for me but it was convenient. The beach in front of the resort is not the best. There is too much coral and shallow water […] to swim comfortably. You have to walk down to Hilton to get a better portion of the beach. It was also the first time I experienced not having the umbrellas and sun chairs provided by the resort as they have to rented. I found that ridiculous but I guess its become a common practice in Waikiki. Overall the rooms were great, comfy beds, spacious, and convenient location. But if you are looking for beach time, you can go to better beaches like Kailua and Waimea. I'd say Waikiki is more for being on sand then in the water. Lisez la suite

Very comfortable hotel and great service. Only thing I didn't like was the $30 valet parking fee per day. There is no option of self parking.

Was amazed at the room we were given. Full ocean view. Service was superb. Lft valuables in the safe and everything was kept in lost in found until we could make it back to claim our valuables. Just a pleasent experience from arrival to departure.

The Outrigger was a great choice for Honolulu. The rooms were very nice. We had an ocean view room, which was great because we could watch all the activity on the beach. The staff was very helpful. And the location was convenient. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

the hotel was spotless, great bar by the pool with a great menue, the hotel was right on the beach, walk out of the resturants and main building straight onto the sand, its a bit rocky in the water but it is called "outrigger on the reef". other than the rocks in the water I cannot fault the hotel.

Very pleased with hotel, helpful staff, located within walking distance of restaurants and shops, Located right on waikiki beach. Starbucks is at the front door.

The only negative about my stay this weekend was the presence and tremendous inconvenience from the APEC group. There were many wasted minutes standing on the sidewalk behind npolice barracades waiting to be allowed to cross the street to get back into the hotel. Some waterfront activities that I had hoped to do were cancelled (outrigger canoe rides; […] Atlantis sub., being allowed to walk the beach). I had no advance warning that this was happening until I arrived -- which would have been nice. I will say that the hotel staff tried their best to be helpful and understanding about the inconvenience to everyone. I hope Obama stays home the next time I plan a vacation to Honolulu or anywhere else in Hawaii. Lisez la suite

When we initially checked in to the Outrigger Reef, they told us that they had not received the notification of our upgrade from Hotels.com. The woman at the check-in desk was quite surly and did not believe us when we said we had upgraded, telling us the hotel was booked out. She did not crack one smile or welcome us in any way. Anyway the upgrade […] debacle was eventually cleared up with Hotels.com and we got the room we had paid for. Overall our stay here was extremely pleasant. The Ocean House restaurant is great for breakfast with beautiful views of Waikiki. The location of the hotel is fantastic. Lisez la suite

Top service and Top location

This hotel is amazing! Very clean, organized, including great amenities and shops, and drink specials and restaurants. Unfortunately no microwave, but two nice added touches were unlimited calling in North America and orchids for your hair everyday. Great staff and service, however the bell men gave different misleading information when it came to shuttles […] so we missed a couple excursions we were wishing to do. On the otherhand, we were upgraded from partial to full ocean view and the scenery and location we grand. Overall, I rate the hotel a definite 10 out of 10 and would absolutely stay again! Great location. Right on Waikiki, super fun for one night. Small older style clean room with a view of the beach. Good relative value but not the best hotel room I've ever stayed in. The moana Westin on the beach is the pick of the hotels but costs a pretty penny.
