Le Restaurant & Bar Quattro Fontane propose des salles restaurées dans ce qui était autrefois une résidence d'été datant de 1575. Ces dernières ont conservé des plafonds à poutres apparentes ainsi qu'une cheminée d'origine. D'époque également, les 4 colonnes de marbre, dont 2 sont œuvre de Palladio, célèbre architecte du XVIe siècle. Ouvert midi et soir. Le restaurant est éclairé aux chandelles en soirée. Vous pourrez y déguster des légumes cultivés dans le jardin de l'hôtel ! Le bar, décoré d'un plafond d'origine aux boiseries dorées, est ouvert en fin de matinée et jusque tard dans la nuit. Des sandwiches, des expressos et des cocktails y sont servis.
Au Platano, il vous sera possible de manger en terrasse et prendre un verre au coeur d'un luxuriant jardin, à l'ombre d'un arbre pluricentenaire. Ouvert midi et soir, spécialités de pierrades.
L'île du Lido de Venise est une langue de terre de 11,5 kilomètres qui donne sur la mer Adriatique et se trouve à 12 minutes en bateau-bus à l'est du centre de Venise. C'est le lieu de divertissement de la ville, tout particulièrement en été, lorsque ses plages et ses sports nautiques attirent les vacanciers et les vénitiens. Tout au long de l'année, les visiteurs louent des vélos pour explorer l'île, jouent au golf sur un parcours situé à la pointe sud, à 7,5 kilomètres de l'hôtel, ou se promènent à cheval.
La majeure partie de la côte est du Lido compte des plages publiques mais également un grand nombre de plages privées dotées de cabines de plage que vous pouvez louer à la journée pendant la belle saison (du 1er juin au 1er septembre environ). Les cabines de plage sont chères et coûtent souvent autant, voire plus, qu'une chambre d'hôtel. L'hôtel en réserve quatre que ses clients peuvent louer à la journée. Chacune inclut trois chaises longues, une table, des chaises et un lit de repos. Une plage publique s'étend à 500 mètres de l'hôtel et des sociétés indépendantes y louent des chaises longues et des parasols.
L'établissement met gratuitement à votre disposition un terrain de tennis en terre battue.

Le Lido, la plage de Venise, se trouve à 20 minutes de la place Saint-Marc en bateau-bus. A la fin du XIXe siècle, c'était la station balnéaire la plus chic d'Italie. Aujourd'hui, cette langue de sable de 18 kilomètres reste très populaire auprès des familles qui apprécient les plages ensoleillées de l'Adriatique. Le fastueux festival du film de Venise se tient au Lido tous les ans entre fin août et début septembre.

Hotel was very cozy! Staff was helpful and kind. They gave us a pretty big room with 2 bedrooms and one bathroom was just the two of us! Everything was very clean and the hotel had a lot of character! The downside for us was location, it seemed far away from San Marco and the water taxi at first wanted to charge us 100 euros to get to the hotel but […] then we found another taxi that charged 7 euros per person! "Relaxing and original"

"Great for couples and families with little kids"
Quattro Fontane, thanks to it's staff, creates the atmosphere of a home. The location is excellent both for access to the sea and for access to public transport (including an hourly boat service to Marco Polo airport). Very good restaurant for lunches and dinners (albeit not cheap), reasonable breakfast, cosy own territory dominated by 180 years old […] tree. Rooms are small. Quality of laundry service and room cleaning is impeccable. Good own tennis court (best to take your own rackets). We stayed for 20 days with two children and were very happy with the hotel. When the little child caught a virus, the hotel staff went out of their way to help. The location could be a bit boring for teenage children. The pictures and website of this hotel don't do it justice. It's an amazing hotel with character in every corner. A beautiful garden and friendly, helpful staff. "Great hotel for sightseeing Venice with children"
I really liked this hotel- full of character, lovely rooms- we had two connecting double bedrooms for 3 adults and 2 children. Though there were no tea/coffee facilities in the room I didn't really miss this. Breakfast was great, staff were very helpful and very welcoming to my children (3 and 7). It was easy enough to get to- from the airport we bought […] return tickets for Alilaguna and took the blue line waterbus to Lido SME (red line to Lido Casino wasn't running), and then hopped on to a bus (lines A B or C) and got off at the 3rd stop which was a stone's throw from the road the hotel is on- cross over at the zebra crossing, take the 1st left, keep walking down the road until the hotel is on your left. We also purchased 72 hour passes for the waterbus which enabled us to travel freely from the Lido on the waterbus to San Marco/Rialto/San Stae/etc and also took care of the bus ride to and from the Lido station to the hotel. A really peaceful setting- a lovely retreat after a busy day sightseeing. Restuarants on the Lido fill up really quickly in the evenings so get to one by around 6.30pm or you'll be waiting 'til 9pm! We were greeted in a professional manner on arriaval and taken directly to our rooms with a porter, apart from the staff having very little English they smiled quite alot and made us feel very comfortable. the hotel itself was very Rustic and dated but overall very clean and interesting. Loved everything about this hotel except for the location. It was a 20-min. walk to the water bus station, so for us it was not convenient enough due to the amount of trips we took into Venice. I stayed with my family with 2 small kid’s age 8 and 2 respectively. The hotel is very neat, rooms are of good size, hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is easily accessible from Lido water boat stop. You can either take a bus (A) or walk. There are other buses (V) from Lido which takes to the other side of the hotel. St Mark Square was […] just 20 minutes from the Lido stop. We are Vegetarians, and the hotel restaurant staffs were helpful to make vegetarian dish. The cost of the food is bit on the higher side, but worth for the service and ambience of the restaurant. From Marco-Polo airport it would take around 1 hour 15 minutes to reach the hotel. Take Bus No 5 from Airport to Pl Roma and from Pl Roma take 5.2 (1/2 hour) to Lido. From Lido Bus stop, take Bus A to the hotel; inform the driver that you need to get down at “Quattro Fontane”. Route 1 will also take to Lido but will take a longer route (1 hour). If you want to enjoy a long ride along with all the tourist attractions take Route No 1. A magnificent historic country estate converted to a lovely hotel. We have stayed here twice and have been most happy with our accommodations. One drawback as we are in our 70's, there is no elevator. The hotel sits on a corner where the bus stops. A nice little hotel. Roughly a 15 minute walk from the Vaporetto station, and a 10 to 15 euro cab ride. Our stay at Quattro Fontane was fabulous. The employees were very professional and they made sure we were well taken care of. The breakfasts were very nice and the whole atmosphere was very quaint and quiet. The hotel is surrounded by gardens and patios with a lot of outdoor seating. The pillows in our room were a little flat but I can't think of one […] other complaint. We extended our stay because we liked it so well. It is easy to get to, but located in a quiet spot. Mossimo, the hotel manager suggested we take a tour of Murano and brought us to the boat taxi and we had a great afternoon there watching a glass blowing demonstration and shopping. "Strong as the weakest Link"
They say that a team is only as strong as its weakest member - our stay here proved this to me.. There is a load of good stuff. It is a wonderful location - right next to the Lido with a water bus stop within 2 minutes walk. The setting is much better than we had hoped for spacious, well maintained rooms and beautiful garden areas. However the service […] can be a real mixed bag. There are some delightful staff here but others are rude and surly and yet others are just plainly incompetent and it’s those weak links that leave the impression. Like the arrogant waiter who struts around as if the place runs for his benefit and snaps his fingers at paying customers or orders their, perfectly well behaved, children about. Or the service at Dinner; we were seated and ignored for 40 minutes before anyone thought to take even a drinks order and even then we had to order twice before anything arrived. The waiter, he of the snapping fingers poured water all over the table and the food that arrived was cold and fairly insubstantial – its very rare that my wife complains that she feels short changed. Don’t even get me started on what you have to do to get a couple of cups of coffee with your desert. If you want a pretty hotel, near the lido that is a comfortable launch-pad for days in Venice, this place may be ok but if you wish to eat, or spend time relaxing in the hotel, this is not so good. Meget hyggelig hotell med fantastisk atmosfære og hyggelig betjening. Vi tilbragte noen dager her og kan helt klart anbefale dette for de som ønsker å kombinere strandliv med byliv. I sommermånedene kan det bli for hett å gå inne i byen på dagtid og da er det smart å tilbringe dagen på stranden og så ta en båt inn til sentrum på ettermiddag/kveld. ca […] 10-12 minutter med ferje og 5-7 minutter med båttaxi.
