Santa Monica reste un lieu apart à Los Angeles. Pour un mode de vie paisible rythmé par la mer, avec les avantage de la ville, sans les inconvénients. La situation de l'hotel est idéale. Si l'on traverse Ocean avenue qui borde le ViceRoy on accède presque immédiatement à la promenade sur la plage et au célèbre Santa Monica Pier. La rue est trés silencieuse […] le soir est il est trés simple de laisser son vehicule la nuit sur le trotoir d'en face ou la journée. L'hotel est trés agréable depart son design et son entretien de qualité, ce qui n'est pas forcément la régle dans tous les hotels de ce standing. La restauration est exellente et le Vice Roy jouit d'une solide réputation en la matière. Vous pouvez profitez d'un happy hour de 5 à 7 trés sympa. Les abords de la piscine vous rapellerons les avantures de certaines série TV, l'hotel étant souvent utilisé en location. Non loin de l'hotel se trouve d'ailleur mon café préférer à Los Angeles, que les afficionados de d' "Entourage"reconnaitrons probablement. Mais il s'agit là de celui de Santa monica. Qui est à mon sens encore plus agréable que celui situé sur Melrose Avenue. Vous y croiserez nombre de célébrité de premier plan, prenant leur petit dèj' dans la plus grande simplicité dans une ambiance trés familiale et chalheureuse. Pour visiter Santa Monica dans son ensemble, la voiture reste indispensable, mais la situation de l'hotel reste idéale pour les amoureux du calme, de la marche et des vue sur ciel couchant. Mention speciale pour la literie ! Les doormen sont trés sympathiques et aimable et n' hésiteront pas à vous renseigner sur la ville et ces environs si besoin est. Enjoy ! Lisez la suite

Hotel luxueux, accueil impeccable, décoration fun, chambre impeccable avec écran plat, lit super confort, peignoir et chaussons, salle de bain en marbre... Bar et restau très branché surtout le weekend. Piscines petites donc pas possible de faire des longueurs. L'hotel est proche de la plage et du pier et du centre de Santa Monica ainsi que du bureau […] d'information de tourisme, tout peut être fait à pieds. Par contre l'hotel est situé entre deux avenues donc prévoir une chambre en hauteur, le coté ville étant plus calme, coté mer, on peut la voir mais il y a d'autres immeubles et la chambre est directement sur Ocean av, très bruyant!! C'est un hotel de luxe américain donc tout est en supplément, internet et valet parking obligatoire, sauf si inclus dans l'offre. Hotel cher. Bon accueil, trop chic pour du tourisme. Pas trop mal situé, proche du Santa Monica Pier, de la plage, du centre piétonnier.

dans son ensemble l’hôtel est bon,mais je ne le reprendrai plu ,car le personnel est sans arrêt derrière vous trop bourges pour nos gout ,je pense que un trois étoile nous aurait mieux convenu Merci

La décoration de cet hôtel est à couper le souffle. Tout comme la qualité du service. Ne vous fiez pas à l'exterieur de cet hôtel. Seul hic, il est un peu au milieu de nulle part. Mais loin de rien.

Was told (via letter left in room) that pool area was off limits all afternoon on saturday due to private event (we saw wedding prep going on before leaving hotel). Given the pool was the primary reason we were staying here (at suggestion of friends in Santa Monica), we were insulted, shocked and dismayed that the pool was "off-limits" and NO compensation […] was offered (other than a mini-bus to a sister hotel -- Sheraton). In our opinion, this is akin to wanting to go out to a top restaurant in NYC and getting a shuttlebus to the Applebees in Newark. very comfortable & conveniant

The hotel was beautiful and service excellent. Santa Monica was not as upscale as I expected though, beach was dirty and there were a lot of homeless people, a lot of the surrounding buildings were run down

Gorgeous little hotel in location close to everything with very helpful staff.

Great hotel with style and ambiance. Lunch and wine on the patio in the late afternoon was perfect. Room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Easy walk to shopping and pier. Definitely will stay again.

we really liked the Viceroy at Santa Monica, like in al viceroy's it's always nice. the only thing i was a bit dissapointed is that they didn't allow us to extend our check-out time for 30 minutes. so that left a sour taste in my mouth.

The hotel is very nice and the comfortable. However we had the bad luck of having a broken heating system making the room 100 degrees. When we called down to front desk they sent someone to fix it. After dinner we returned only to find the room still 100 degrees. They offered to send another person up to fix it, but we wanted to have our room to relax […] in that late in the evening. I have stayed at a lot of luxury hotels around the world, but this was by far the best looking hotel I have ever stayed at. Same goes for my party. It is so exceptionally designed that I recommend everyone to stay one night here if you are visiting Santa Monica. The only thing I did not like was that Internet was not included! have been dying to stay here for years, but maybe i waited too long. the room was a little tired and there were a few broken/worn handles, bathroom door didn't close all the way, etc. kind of a bummer, especially for the price... also, it was cold out when we were there so they tented the whole outdoor area, really disappointing since i was really looking […] forward to the pool-side fabulousness... i'd definitely go back, but only in hot weather and with a really good deal on the room. Great lOcation and wonderful ocean view Restaurant is terrific, roomservice too and fun celebrity sightings. I would love to stay here again! Good service and very cool decor!

ever since 9/11 travel has become somewhat of a game like russian roulette. ALAS, finally, the olden days of great service have re-emerged,... here at the VICEROY. Have stayed previously in the really expensive hotels like Shutters and Mondrian and decided to try the Viceroy as it was reasonable and the gallery of photos looked great. From the outside it may not be impressive but the bar area and rooms are superb. The service we recieved was outstanding and the staff could not do enough and if mistakes were made […] they were rectified immediately and beyond. Would definately stay there again. Very clean, comfortable hotel with great staff. There was construction in the next lot so we couldn't walk on Ocean Blvd without crossing the street. Very loud NY party that we were unable to purchase tickets for but still had to listen to. Huge price increase on room for NY eve. Nice bar with great appys and Happy Hour Specials.

EXCELENT location, close to all the must see sights, ambiance, service rooms, heated pool, valet service is one of the Best I have experienced. Highly reccomended hotel.

My wife and I stayed at the Viceroy for three nights on leisure visit to LA. Service at this hotel is fantastic. All the staff were helpful polite and efficient especially the front desk amd the concierge. A member of staff (serbian lady) recommended Urth Cafe for breakfast and we loved it. It is worth it to get a sea facing room if possible. The room […] was very clean however as we always recommend to hotels asian (Thai, Japanese) and muslim guests like to wash after using the bathroom so a hose attachment is very useful wherever bidets are not available. The Viceroy is an amazing experience. Comfy but hip and modern. The entire staff was friendly. I also had a special request and they took care of it immediately with attention to detail. I travel almost weekly for my job and I usually don't find most hotels are worthy of a return visit - the Viceroy will be visited by me again.

Cannot fault this hotel at all. Exceeded all expectations and customer service not like any I've experienced in a hotel. The moment we walked in, we felt like celebrities. Upon checking in, reception offered us a glass of champagne each. From there, she gave us a quick tour of the facilities they had downstairs (unlike other hotels which just show you […] in the direction). Once we got to the room, we were very impressed. Decor clean and stylish. Room was decent size. Bathroom had alot of towels for use, and amenities such as lotions/shampoo was fantastic. We ordered room service which was quick and prompt. There is a library downstairs for public use. Also a restuarant/bar is downstairs. We dine there for one night. Top quality food and drinks. Waiter exceptionally friendly. As for location, it is about a 10-15 minute walk from Santa Monica Pier and around the main shopping/restuarants. The hotel was fabulous! I am a designer and have seen the photos and it was even better in person. The service was wonderful and the beds are super comfy. Great location to shops and the resturaunt was top notch! Great hotel!

Love, love, love this place. The rooms are wonderful, love the Neil George amenities in the room. Wonderful decor throughout and great service! Fun bar area with great appetizers and drinks. My favorite place to say in Santa Monica.

The staff was very corteous and professional. However, we had the AC that did not cool off as it should've. Had three techs to attempt to fix it, but finally, and fourtunately, got credit for the parking which had not been previously known there'd be a $36. charge, for one night.

The hotel is well located, lobby and pool area are very nice. However, room size is far below average, in addition we had a very noisy air conditioning. It was the only hotel during our trip that charged for the use of Internet. The immediate neighbourhood of the hotel does not offer good dining opportunities. I got the king size ocean view on the 7th floor. The beach view was almost non-existence but I did get a view of the ocean. Would not opt for ocean view if I return since the ocean is like a 3 minute walk away from the hotel and I could get a much better view there. Location is great, close to the beach, Santa Monica pier, and 3rd street. Valent service […] was good; however parking fee was a little high. The room was a little small with limited walking space but it didn't bother me much as I spent most of the time outside the hotel. Wifi is not complimentary. No toothbrush in the room. Close to the beach, shopping and great eating places. Premium price, but worth it.

5 minute walk to Santa Monica beach and another 5 minutes to the pier. shopping promenade with lots of places to eat also around the corner. nice staff, friendly and competent. comfortable lounge and pool areas, very clean but not too cheap

This is my 2nd time at the Viceroy. My second time staying there with my sisters. We have proclaimed this to be the new sisters meeting place in CA. Love, love, love the Viceroy. We spent 2 nights at the hotel. The service was excellent but the first night we were given a room with pool view just next to the fitness room and it was impossible to sleep in the morning when people started to exercise (fitnessis open 24 hours). We complained and were immediately moved to another room on a higher floor which was much more like what […] we had expected from this hotel. We walked in to the hotel at 10pm as weary travellers. We were greeted by the staff and promptly checked in. After a speedy check in and a run down of the hotel, we were offered a complimentary champagne. I felt immediately refreshed and excited for our stay. Great vibe.. Young and loud when events are on but didn't hear in room.. Slight hill from beach and 2 blocks from 3rd st promenade & pier!! Loved it.. Front desk was wonderful!

I would highly suggest to the hotel to arrange a closed bar and dance area instead of turning their main reception and swim pool area every night to be party and bar area !!! this atmosphere is not kids friendly at all, and that is why we decided to move for the last remaining 2 nights of our booking.

Loved this hotel! Only suggestion is, if you are into going to bed before 1 am on Saturdays, get a room on the beach side as the city/pool view rooms can hear the loud music from the pool party on Saturdays. (earplugs are provided, but didn't help for a light sleeper like me)

nice room.. in a great neighborhood...room had great bathroom, and a great double pane window to keep room quiet at night....there are allot of party people in the lobby, and around the pool at night on the weekends,... just fyi

This hotel is full of beautiful people. Young beautiful people. Since I an neither young or beautiful, I had to nust notice the quality of the service, which was excellent. You will pay for it,however. But I wouldnt stay again.
