Crowne Plaza London St James - Londres

The hotel is situated in a great location and the services provided were excellent. . Staff were extremely helpfull when approached with any questions. We would not hesitate to recommend the Hotel to anyone seeking a place, to make their visit to London more memorable. Thanks for making our 50th Anniversary trip memmorable.

This is my third stay. I think it's an excellent choice for the money. it's very clean and near many sights and near transportation. also, it is very near Buckingham Palace and the royal parks. I would go there again.

The rooms are very dirty. The interior are very old. In our room the bathroom was dripping all night long. We called and no one fixed it. The location is great but the hotel is not good at all.

Had a fantastic experience at this hotel. Staff at the check-in desks were helpful, efficient and polite. The room itself while not the largest was clean, and had the expected coffee making facilities, a safe etc. The location was great with St. James' underground stop on the circle/district line just a five minute walk away. Buckingham Plalace was […] only a 5 minute walk from the hotel and Westminister Cathedral, parliment, Big ben and the London eye were a further 15-20minute walk or 1 stop down on the undeground. The resturant was excellent and the room sevice was quick and the qualityof the food was also excellet. The surrounding neighbourhood was fine, but many of the resturants and cafes in this area shut down at the weekend. Through Hotels.com this hotel was virtually the same price as the travelodge I usually stay at when in London on business. The hotel is close to the tube which means only a short journey to my office in the City. The hotel has charm and the most impressive element is its close proximity to the Michelin star Quilon Indian Restaurant which was an amazing […] treat for vegetarian tastebuds. excellent location , easy to find convienient to the tube and victoria station , work going on on the outside of the hotel so difficult to tell how nice the hotel looked , stayed for a city break so didnt use any facilities in the hotel making it an expensive choice .breakfast not included in the price but plenty places to eat near by .

Great Location- we stayed for NYE, nearby tube stations, shops etc. Also able to walk to Westminster/London eye as tube stations are notoriously bad on New Years. Staff were friendly and happy to help. Previous reviews state that it is not as high a standard as claimed(4 star?). I would have to agree, lovely hotel but not worth a very expensive rate […] (we got a deal so weren't that bothered) Neighbour hood quite safe and quiet, despite being in the city centre of London. This hotel is SUPERB! Stay here! This is no more than a 3 minute walk to the nearest tube station (St. James Park) that will take you everywhere, and to all the most famous sites. It is about a 7-10 minute walk from Victoria Train and Underground as well. It is also less than a 5 minute walk from Buckingham Palace (in one direction) and about 10 minutes […] from Westminster Abbey. The location is just superb, I can't stress that enough. They give you free tea and hot chocolate and coffee in your room. And downstairs, in the lobby, around 8:30pm, a man always came out to play the piano. You could sit down there and read (or work... free Wi-Fi), and the restaurant next door would serve you tea and coffee or drink. Everything about this place was so relaxing and so nice. We loved it. The bed was comfortable. They provided you with everything you needed. They had towel warmers in the bathroom. My only complaint was that the bathroom floor was marble (which was lovely), and it was COLD! So, just remember to wear socks. If you can and if you ever get the chance, stay here! The room was about 12x12 and the bed was horrible. You would be better off sleeping in your robe on top of the comforter than on the matress which quickly compressed to about 1" thick!!! Not only that but every time you moved mattress or the box springs made loud creaking noises that kept my wife and I up most of the night. Stay was wonderful- the sleeping aids and shortbread cookies were a special touch.very convenient location from which to tour london- staff were extremely pleasnt and helpful. would recommend

We had a very pleasant stay for four nights. The hotel was very nice and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was convenient to many attractions and the tube. We enjoyed out stay and woul return again and recommend it to others.

The hotel is walking distance to many of London's sights. Buckingham Palace is a 5 minute walk away. Westminister Abbey and Big Ben are a 10-15 minute walk away and the London Eye is about a 20 minute walk away from the hotel. Easy to get to Underground stops. The lobby looks very nice, but the rooms are absolutely disgusting. The hotel room's bathroom windowsill was covered in dust, which shows a second rate cleaning job was performed. The carpeting looked like it was 20 years old. The room was very tiny; I felt like I was staying in a hotel closet. My work office is larger than this hotel room. The hotel […] was very nit-picky with all of the charges. £15 for 24 hours of internet service is a rip off. £1 to connect and £0.70 per minute thereafter for local phone calls. All food was outrageously priced too. The hotel staff seemed rude whenever I made a request for: a taxi, suggestion for local restaurants/pubs/bars. 2 minute walk to Buckingham palace is the only perk to this overpriced low-quality hotel. The hotel exudes classic elegance, with an amazing restaurant, traditional lobby, and charming courtyard. The room was very comfortable and well equipped. Excellent concierge service.

This hotel was very nice and the staff was friendly although we seemed to have some language difficulties even though we all spoke English! We were given a "queen"room at check in, when we requested a king and told it was a king. The room was large but the bed was actually a double.We were told that was all that was available, eventhough we had made […] our reservation 2 months in advance and were told we would have a king room. We had planned a quick visit to London, this was a perfect place to stay. Quick walk from the St James's tube stop, nice quiet neighborhood, and VERY close to the sites! 2 minute walk from Buckingham Palace.

The hotel itself was beautiful and rather decadent, the staff were extremelly helpful. Even though the area is busy the hotel is situated in a nice quiet road. Only down side for me was the underground tubes which made our room shake every 20 mins until midnight then started again at 5am ! We were able to checkin early - after an all-night flight - we took a 2-hour power nap and then walked to major attractions - Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Parliament, etc. Great Location - very close to the Underground. A short 3 block walk away and very easy to roll luggage. Very convenient location with friendly staff. The room had everything we needed in it and more - very quiet despite looking onto the central courtyard where the restaurant was. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Great location but our room was depressing, grungy and very uncomfortable. We were there in a heat wave and the airconditioning did not work. The room was airless and confining. The floor smelled of onions all day - I think they have a real problem with ventilation and they need to RENOVATE. THe help were polite but ineffectual.

This hotel was ok.The location was very good ,but it really is nothing special.The rooms are very dated and at a cheaper rate you would say that's fine. The cost of booking this hotel is just not worth it and certainly not value for money.

Room was v.poor quality (loose electric points, carpet was worn and uneven. Various other minor faults). Not a particularly good room size either. Although the majority of the staff were helpful and v. pleasant, the reception was particularly unhelpful on occasions. For example when phoning to ask for assistance/directions regarding tube stations, […] were first told they would 'call back'. After waiting 30 minutes we decided to 'ask again at the desk’ on our way out. We were told they had no record that anyone was meant to be ‘calling us back’ and was basically told to 'ask someone else' as they could not help. Overall disappointing … Very Disappointing. This was my first trip to London and I travelled alone. I felt safe at all times. Personnel were very helpful and courteous. Buckingham Palace was about a 5 min walk and Victoria Station about 12 mins. I love to walk and even Big Ben and the London Eye were a reasonable walk 15-20 mins. Great location. What a great spot it was my first time to London and it was the perfect spot, yuou cannot get closer to national mall or Buckingham palace I loved it just beautiful... just needs better water pressure oh and if they offer you the upgraded room upon arrival TAKE IT they so make it worth your wild!

Was traveling thru europe on eurorail pass and this was the last stop on the trip. Could not of had a better way to relax and de-stress. Large bathtub was great for soaking and taking the knots out of the body after many days of train travel. Five min. walk to victoria station was easy to navigate with rolling luggage( big sidewalks and no cobblestone […] streets). Bathrobes in room and LCD tv to watch. We had a 23 hr layover at Heathrow so we booked this hotel in the heart of London, in order to tour effectively. The location is great-very close to many impressive sites. We took the tube from Heathrow to St. James Park. We took a 2 hr double decker hop-on hop-off bus tour of central London starting from Victoria Station at 7:30 PM. Both St. James […] Park Station and Victoria Station are within very easy walking distance of the hotel. The hotel rate was high but the full breakfast that was included was tremendous. Great location. Rooms were very "roomy" by European standards. Clean. Staff was very helpful and cheerful. Hotel was quite "classy" looking, on a quiet street but close to major thoroughfares and the tube.

old and outdated room not very clean'asked for another room it took forever to get it the desk clerk said it was a better room but he lied it was worse they finally gave us a better room but it was next to victoria station hence' train noise night and day we would never stay here again it ruined our london experience

Hotel was very nice with decent sized rooms. Nice neighborhood. Lots of traditional London pubs nearby. Only stayed one night but really enjoyed it especially for the price!

We loved our stay at the Crowne Plaza St. James. The location was one block from Buckingham Palace, and within easy walking distance to Parliament, Big Ben and other attractions. The hotel staff, especially the concierge were wonderfully attentive. You'll enjoy this stay.

Alt i alt så er det et helt greit hotel. Betjeningen var veldig bra og de ansatte var veldig behjelpelig og hyggelige. 2 min gange til St.James Park t-bane, og derfra lett å komme seg inn til selve sentrum. Stort pluss for det :-) Starbucks på begge sidene av inn-utgang skal også nevnes. Spiste ikke frokost på hotellet, da vi heller valgt å spise ute. […] Så kan ikke si noe om den. Ficamos surpresos positivamente com este hotel. A localização é perfeita, perto do Hyde Park, ST James Park e Green Park. Cardapio do room service excelente e um restaurante de comida Asiatica chamado Quilon, duas estrelas Michelin, excelente. O concierge resolveu todas as demandas e a recepção sempre solicita. Vale muito a pena. Fomos ao SPA que tambem estava impecavel. Bra läge.Elegant , trevlig o tjänstvillig personal. God frukost,fantastisk afternoon tea även middagen var mkt god ,vi åt indiskt. Rummet var stort så det funkade trots extra säng och engelskt mysiga sittgrupper nära flygel o bar i samband med lobby. Vi stördes inte av reparationerna på hotellets översta våningar -uppfräshning inför OS.

Jag blev positivt överraskad över kvalitén på hotellet och hur bra det var beläget i London. Nära till tunnelbana och Victoria Station. Jag kommer definitivt bo där nästa gång jag åker till London.
