"Will definitely stay there again!"
We are already planning for Carnival and will stay at this Hotel. It is beautiful, clean and comfortable.
"Hilton Trinidad"
Cleverly designed hotel with a superb view across the city. Excellent and comfortable rooms, Updated pool and pool bar areas were lovely. Evening buffet in the restaurant was very expensive as was the wine, but service very good. Bar food ok, service not so good. (the evening we checked in we were told the wait for food was two and a half hours). Breakfast […] in the restaurant was equally as expensive so we had take away from the cake/coffee stall in the foyer which we great. Overall an excellent hotel and we will return when we come back to Trinidad. Lisez la suite

"Carnival 2012"
I spent 6 days at the Hilton for carnival, and to my surprise, I enjoyed the stay there much better than at the Hyatt. Can't wait to book for 2013 as soon as they make the rooms available.

Good location over the hill and near to all major businesses and government offices. Hotel facilities are good. Food is good and cheaper compared to other comparable hotels in Trinidad. But the general atmosphere is little dull. Staff are less enthusiastic to help.
"Hilton Trinidad"
The hotel is going thru renovations, the new area is very nice but it smells like they have a problem with the sewer system. Breakfast buffet is very expensive and they run out of food to often. The service is ok, but way far from other Hilton locations.
"Trinidad Hilton"
Great stay! Rooms have been upgraded in the last 10 years. Free breakfast buffet was included and was delicious! Pool is great, bar is great! In-room service was wonderful! Thanks to Wellington at the bar! Taxi service always available in front...thanks to all of our taxi driver's especially Everest & Franklin!!
"Chemical Smell and Wet Carpets in Hallway"
Upon check-in for a three-night stay I got off the elevator on my floor and was nearly bowled over by a strong chemical smell that lasted the entire time I was there. Also, for some reason the carpets in the hallway were absolutely soaked with water...my shoes squished with every step. Finally, this place is in desperate need of additional waitstaff […] in the restaurant and bars. Waiting 20 minutes to receive a menu borders on ridiculous. On an up-note, the food was pretty good...once you got it. Hyatt Regency near the port is much newer and a better location. Lisez la suite

"FOOD IS EXPENSIVE"
I don't recommend this Hotel. They take advantage of you on the price of Food. The neigborhood doesn't have any other restaurant nor mall close so you have to eat in the Hotel. to give you an idea 1Oz creme brulee was USD 9.46 plus 10% service charge plus 15% VAT. 10% services charge???????? 9.46 for 1 OZ of creme brulee????? I returned to the restaurant […] immediately. Lisez la suite
"Hilton in Trinidad"
The hotel is remote and there is very little dining around. We ate all but 2 dinners in the hotel. It is recommended that you take a taxi to and from your evening destinations. The cost of meals is on the high side. We were shocked by the addition of 10% service charge and the 15% vat tax on everything. So add %25 to your budget. They had a buffet […] each night that is priced at 303 TT or $48.95. It is not worth it. You can purchase just the salad bar ($12) or salad bar and soup. ($18) or order off the menu. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you have time take a taxi tour around the island. They have several different areas. Trinidad is not an island for tourists but designed for business. "Hilton Hotel Trinidad-Nice upside down hotel"
Hotel staff were very friendly from bellman to reservation clerk. The rooms were awesome, very stylish, up to date and comfortable. The ambience was great, awesome view of the city and the landscaping was well done. Would recommend this hotel to business and personal guest in a minute!

"Room smell like sewer!!!"
Our rooms had a very bad smell ad even the halls had a aweful smell in it. Everytime you turn the water on in the bath room it smell like sewer, just aweful. The service was great, prices was high, internet not free, and after room change and getting everything ironed out thing things begin to look better.
"Beautiful property... bad experience"
Possibly the nicely Hilton properties that I have ever stayed at (they are quick to point out that Obama stayed there)... but there were a few things that made me feel like I was in a $79/night motel: 1) no place to get food after 11pm (not even nuts or snacks at the bar) 2) ice machines on several floors were not working... walked around for several […] minutes before having to take my bucket to the bar 3) toilet in room dripped all night long 4) pipes in walls SCREAMED the entire time I had the shower on (my neighbors were all awaken for sure). How could the cleaning crew (or any previous guest) before me missed that? Lisez la suite

"Hilton trinidad and Tobago"
1/Internet in room are expensive and very slow in my opinion. 2/Restaurant staff in particular is very helpful, polite and kind.
"Price gouging galore"
Very classy hotel with very professional staff. The food and internet are outrageous. This hotel is convenient for business travelers working in the Port Of Spain but if you don't have a car, you either pay a premium for taxi service to take you to a reasonably priced restaurant or you pay a premium for the food at the hotel. When I spoke to management […] about the prices for food, they assured me that they would "look into it", however I feel its important to share this information with potential travelers. "Very Good"
Very Good for Business Travelers. Food was not as good as I expected, but I understand that it is not easy in Trinidad. I honestky recomend this hotel.
"Hilton Port of Spain - not a first choice"
Not a businessman's hotel. While the rooms are newly redecorated and nice, the common areas leave a lot to be desired. If you like eating in your room, this hotel will be O.K. Only one restaurant, which is overpriced with mediocre food (Breakfast buffet -$33, Continental-$16 of grade B C quality) At dinner, the dining room is empty. Most people eat […] at the lobby bar ("chicken wings" on the menu are actually deep fried, chicken quesadilla seems to be made of chicken paste, not cuts of chicken). Internet costs $15 per day plus tax. Tried to buy an Internet connection for the week, when my password did not work the second day, they charged me for a long distance phone call to speak to a tech abroad. Great view of the city but not enough to make up for the shortcomings. Lisez la suite

"Good value for the money."
Considering the number of hotels and their inflated prices, this hotel offers most or all of the services required.

"Needs Improvement"
The hotel itself is very nice and clean, but the food is too expensive, also I believe that the hotel can give guests continential breakfast on mornings and also my suggestion for them is to try and get a shuttle for guest from the airport to the hotel and back, getting transportation is very hard and expensive. I had room service and for two sandwiches […] it cost $180.00 that I believe is way to expensive, for turkey.the juice, soda and the hot chocolate was way to expensive, and the hot chocolate look like they did not put any milk in it. "An ok place to stay but nit-pick on the details and service could be better"
I am from the US and came out on a business trip. The hotel location is isolated and they seem to pinch their customers based on that. For example, daily internet fee, a breakfast buffet that is $33 US, drink prices were very high, the bar food was marginal quality. Also, it took me 3 times to ask for water glasses as the last cleaning they did not […] give me any. I cannot recommend this hotel until things change. Lisez la suite
"FRIENDLY & HELPFUL STAFF"
All the staff was very friendly and nice. Clinton at front door. Jason at bell desk and the people at the front desk, restaurant, bar. All very nice.
