DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Htl & Conf Cntr Downers Grove - Downers Grove

I didn't find out about shuttle services by Windy City Limo" until I arrived at the hotel. I did not see anything about a discounted transportation option on the website. The taxi fee was $90 one way. That is almost twice what the website estimated. Other than that,the hotel was clean and service was good.

The Double Tree stay was amazing. The staff was wonderful, room so spacious and convenient and clean. We took the shuttle to areas we wanted to go within a 5 mile radius. The service was commendable. The hotel is located on a street, hard to access other restaurants etc, but the shuttle was an ideal solution. We has a fabulous time.

It was a beautiful hotel but the staff leaves much to be desired. The man at the front desk seemed to be impatient with us during check in and kept informing the woman behind us that he would be right with her, which would have been fine had it been once, but it was three times with-in a period of no longer that two minutes or so and the young lady […] in question did not seem to be in any rush either. Then when I was exploring the gym facilities my younger sister followed behind me and a man at the counter there barked at us that no one under 18 was allowed in the area. Another problem I wish would have been disclosed was that the Hot Tub was currently unavailable. Over all the hotel was very nice and for the price I found it an amazing deal, I highly suggest this hotel to people staying in the area if you are looking for a place not right inside the city. From the entrance of the hotel to the extremely plush and clean bedding this is a wonderful place to stay. I was most impressed with our room, just a standard king room that actually looks like a suite. Upon entering your room through the double french glass and wood doors you are in the living space. There you have a love seat, chair, television, mini […] fridge, desk, microwave, sink and coffee maker. From the living quarters you enter a hallway that has a closet and the the bathroom with fresh towels, hair dryer, and your standard toiletrys, shower and commode. On the other side of that hallway is the sleeping quarters. In there you have another television, dresser, desk, clock radio, and of course a very large bed with the most comfortable pillows and bedding I have had the pleasure to sleep in. It is not like most hotels that only give you 2 or 4 pillows to sleep in and if you want more then you have to call down at the desk to make a request, there are actually 2 king size pillows, 2standard size pillows, 2 smaller down alternative pillows, and a decorative throw pillow. The friendliness of the staff is extraordinary in itself. Upon checking in to the hotel I immediately felt welcome and appreciated. To anyone who is looking for a great hotel to stay for a night or even weeks, this hotel comes highly recommended and I would like to extend my recommendation. This hotel had the friendliest and most helpful front desk staff of any place we have ever stayed! They aim to please and did.

The Double Tree Hotel was a very comfortable hotel.. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby including a theater. The staff was very courteous. The pool was clean, plus the sauna was great. I stayed at this hotel because of a wedding I was attending in close by Woodridge. I was pleasantly surprised. Huge suites and friendly staff. What a bargain!! I'd stay again if in the area.J

The restaurant staff of this hotel is exceptionally helpful. We needed vegan meals and they graciously adapted their menu. The complimentary shuttle service was prompt and courteous. The front desk was efficiently helpful and very informative. Our weekend stay was most enjoyable!

Our stay at the DoubleTree in Downers Grove was excellent--the service at the front desk was quick, helpful and friendly. The rooms were amazing--very clean, comfortable and spacious. I am pretty picky about hotels (check them out on the bed bug registry, examine every inch upon arrival, etc.) and it definitely passed my test! :) Plenty of room for […] 4 adults. When we needed a second bathroom, the ones near the lobby were always clean and nearly empty. This hotel is right in the middle of a commercial area with plenty of restaurants, drugstores and supermarkets. Short drive (15-20 min.) to the farthest L stop on the blue line (Forest Park) making getting into the city a cinch! Kind Staff and great room and surroundings

We were pleasantly surprised when we stayed at the Doubletree. We reserved a king size room and found the room to be incredibly large and comfortable. The room had a nice sitting area with sofa, fridge, microwave and TV. The bed was in a separate part of the room, which was nice. The bed was very comfortable. All amenities were fantastic. The Doubletree suite room was outstanding and the service was great. We spent 3 nights in Chicago but did not want to pay downtown rates so we got this room 20-25 mintues outside downtown and did the drive and it was well worth it and definately would do it again. Also, many restaurants and Walmart is nearby as is the 355/55.

We enjoyed our stay and loved the comfortable beds the staff were very friendly and this won't be our last stay at your hotels.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. The bedding was great except for the down pillows (I need something a little firmer). The only part I did not fully enjoy was the smaller shower. It had great water pressure and was immaculate but it was smaller in size than a normal house shower.

I thought the stay was decent overall. When we first walked in, they greeted us with warm cookies and a smile. What a great start! I felt the customer service was really excellent. The room is obviously a suite and I thought that was nice, because it was roomy with a fridge. It had a huge picture window, comfortable beds and seemed clean. Although, […] the shower drain was clogged, so my shower turned into an unwanted ankle/lower leg cesspool that gave me the willies. Also, the plastic shower handle had little hairs sticking out of the head that Lysol and manual removal was the only necessary remedy. The shower head was also set at neck level, so contorting yourself underneath it was uncomfortable and so was having to hold the handle. It was one of the worst shower experiences. After sharing my shower disappointment with the front desk, they apologized and offered us a free lunch at their restaurant. We could not get any credit because it was booked on hotels.com, so we accepted and were pleased with the friendliness of the staff and the good food. I thought that was a cool move on their part that helped up their rating. From now on, I am going to run water for a bit in a shower before I step in, as well as look at the shower head for cleanliness. I would give this place a good rating overall. Lisez la suite

Had I known there was another Double Tree a couple of miles away, and right across the street from the outdoor Mall we were going to, I would have stayed there instead. Further, had I known there was a family reunion/wedding reception taking place, I would not have stayed at Double Tree at all.

Very nice hotel my only problems were the coffee maker didn't work in the morning and breakfest buffett not included in the price.

- The shuttle service to pick up from 7 miles away was to be $60.00 - this is ridiculous and not a service. The bed had bed bugs - I woke up with a huge skin rash.

Very nice hotel located near great dining, shopping, and quick access to freeways. I would come back.

Great place to stay - the only problem was that the hot tub was out of order. But, you can get free access to the fitness center next door to use their facilities.

From check in to check out, our experience was great. Warm cookies for our kids to a wonderful housekeeping staff who worked around our schedule. The rate was unbelievable for such a great place...we will stay here again soon!

the center was not very clean. there were trays outside of the rooms with food on them- kids were running up and down the aisles outside my room until well after 11p- my room was not clean- i washed the bathroom floor to get the staind out- the refrigerator froze the food i put in it- tv stations were very limited- lamp was crooked and stains on the […] carpet - breakfast was typical but nice- it was the day after new year's eve so maybe they were short handed- they said the rooms were totally booked but they should have hired extra help to clean up Lisez la suite

Everything was better than expected. But, first, props to hotels.com on finding a great rate! Check-in was really easy. Yes, it was a holiday and not very busy. Still, the staff was always courteous and more than willing to help. My suite consisted of two good-sized rooms with a TV in each room. This would be great for a family stay. All amenities were […] perfect. Having an ice machine on every floor was a convenience; I don't know why more hotels don't do this. I have absolutely no complaints. Professional, Responsive Staff, Extremely roomy and comfortable quarters. Wish I could take this hotel with me whenever and wherever I travel.

This was my third opportunity to enjoy this location. Even though it was a holiday, the staff was eager to serve and no one behaved as though they hated having to work on Christmas. Our room was everything we'd hoped it would be!

After looking at reviews of similarly priced hotels, I was nervous about what we would get. The room had a nice sized fridge an microwave. The room was actually two rooms with a door separating the living area from the spacious bedroom. Each room had it's own TV too. I will definitely stay here again!

We checked right in. No delays. We were given warm, yummy cookies! Check out was a breeze as well!

Checked in around 9pm, service was great, comfortable and clean rooms. The suites are great and relaxing.

Most everything about this hotel was good but not being able to access the internet in your room without paying a substantially fee seems very petty for a "quality" hotel. You can go to the lobby but that is not always convenient to do so.

The staff is very friendly, the rooms are very clean and spacious. This was our second stay here this year and we would'nt hesitate to recommend or stay here again.

The location was great, just minutes away from anything you needed. Carlucci's restaurant in front of the hotel is a must-stop for dinner and drinks!

Big room, two TV sets, quiet and very clean.
