The hotel was reasonably close to the airport (5-7 minute drive approx). My girlfriend and I did not feel very safe here due to the surrounding neighborhood. There was tons of sketchy foot traffic at late hours of the night and just about a mile down the road is an area you definitely want to lock your doors when you drive through. As for the room, […] it was clean and spacious. Some of the facilities were a bit run down. The carpet was worn at the bathroom threshold and the tack strip was exposed. The refrigerator was only slightly cold. The toilet was slow to refill so you had to wait a few minutes to flush. The service and breakfast here were great. They were courteous and professional. Airport shuttle stops at 2pm. They won't reimburse you for a taxi either... Just FYI.

Overall great value for the money. Bed was great. Room was clean and spacious. Neighborhood was a bit sketchy, but the bounds of the hotel isolate you from the rest of the neighborhood. This hotel was one of the nicest, friendliest hotels I've seen in a long time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. As a single woman, traveling alone, I needed a hotel somewhere between the airport & the hospital to see my critically ill daughter. The complimentary airport shuttle was wonderful to have. The complimentary breakfast was a welcome […] eye opener each morning with waffles, sausage, eggs, coffee, juices, toast, cold & hot cereals, & newspaper. The public rooms were very clean & bright. The staff accommodated me in every way they could. The sweet girl at the desk even ran my boarding pass the morning I left. My room was very quiet & I didn't even hear the traffic on the busy street corner outside. My room was very large, well lighted, had a dressing area, TV, small frig, microwave, coffee pot, blow dryer, & sitting area. The only thing wrong with my room was the carpet was worn & dirty. I was told they would replace the carpeting upstairs this summer. I hope they do. The grounds were well kept, well lighted at night, swimming pool & hot tub were in a nice gated area, hair salon, donut shop, & mini-mart were on the property. Very convenient! I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to save a little money & feel safe with friendly surroundings. Just minutes from the airport. Easy access off the street for free parking. The hotel was a HUGE improvement to Extended Stay America. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the staff very friendly. I will definitely stay there again.

The room was nothing like the pictures shown on hotels.com. We were told that the room we were getting had an in-room jacuzzi tub, and that those were the only type of room available. This was the main reason I chose to spend a little extra an stay here instead of a cheaper place that had an outdoor hot tub. When I checked in, my room was nothing like […] the photos, and there was no jacuzzi tub. Called the front desk to find out if they put us in the wrong room, and I was informed that NONE of the rooms at the hotel had them. Hotels.com did give me a discount voucher when I called about this...for a future reservation through them. I accepted this because at least there was an outdoor hot tub. Only later we discovered that while it was hot & the filter was running, the jets did not work. The guy at the front desk told me to go back, flip a switch & it should come on in a minute. Well, after 30 minutes still nothing. Also, could not get the heater/AC wall unit to work. Front desk was supposed to come check on it but never showed up. Tried the unplug/reset method; discovered that the actual plug prongs had been twisted to fit in the socket correctly. It would have been nice to have a little heat. The pipes to the sink made a horrible sound if the water was not turned on full blast. Construction crew right outside our room that began working at 7am - not sure if this was part of the hotel but it was still annoying. There was not one movie channel on the TV. Nothing noteworthy, good or bad.

We booked for the nite with parking for our car while we were on a cruise for 14 nites. We paid for the room and parking, but when we arrived, the parking was not included. There was no way to change the reservation when we arrived. When I booked online, I asked and confirmed the room and parking with the online reservation, but different when we arrived. […] Will think about them if we ever go to long beach again. During a recent trip to California, we stayed at this hotel on 2 occasions one week apart. On the first visit, our room was in very good condition. However, one week later when we stayed in a room next to our former room and this room was not in as good coition and there were small insects in or about the bathtub. The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. They exceeded my expectations by far. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. Location was not great, wanted something a little closer to the airport, but would still definitely return here again.

The room was clean and comfortable. The air condition was very loud and need to be replaced. The surrounding wasn't feel too safe at first, but was ok while the time we were there. The pool was the best part of the hotel because it was very clean and private.

Fit my needs for the price. Easy access of the PCH. The room was comfy, pillows could have been bigger but overall a comfortable stay. Breakfast included waffles, cereal, fruit and beverages. The hotel staff was very helpful and welcoming.

Comfy and larger that expected room that was spotlessly clean. Friendly and responsive staff. Neighborhood was a little run down but still okay and close to food, shopping, and the airport. Our room was quiet. Nice linens. Good for a night's or a week's stay. Will look them up again when I'm in the area.

When returning to my room late on saturday I found that the parking lot was full. I entered the lobby and advised the clerk there was no parking and he advised me they had x amount of parking which was more than necessary and for me to park on the street. I checked the street which is in questionable area and it was full. Stayed here the night before leaving on a cruise. Access to the hotel was easy and the clerk was pleasant. Room showed a little wear and tear and our bed was a bit soft. But over all the stay more than met our requirements and expectations.

The hotel was adequate. But upon returning home from trip found out hotel had billed me for room despite the fact that I purchased rooms from Hotels.com. After making a call, was told it was for incidentals. Since we had 2 rooms there was a significant additional charge. This is the first time anything like this has happened to me while using Hotels.com. […] I would not recommend any Choice Hotel which includes Quality Inn, Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Clarion, Sleep Inn, Cambria, Econo Lodge, and Rodeway Inn. The staff offered the best customer service I've ever experienced. The continental breakfast was an unexpected surprise! They offer a hot breakfast!The buildings and it's surroundings were clean.

On my next trip to Long Beach / LA area,I will stay here again! Its only minutes to the airport,downtown,beaches and surrounding communities.My room was quiet with very comfortable beds.I'll be back!

I needed a hotel room for the night as I was flying out of Long Beach Airport very early. The hotel is about 2.5 miles away from the airport, the room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. It's an older hotel and it needs to be updated but for a overnight stay to catch a flight it was perfect.

The Hotel was great, the gentleman at the front desk was extreamly friendly and informative. However a conversation about the avalibilty for a second night was misconstrude and he put it in as a second reservation when all I wanted was to know if they would be fully booked the following night, there for when I checked out on my schedualed day i was […] charged for a noncalncelation of a reservation....after many phone calls back and forth the manager was polite enough to correct the mistake and all was fixed...over all a great place just be sure your understood when asking any qquestions. It was a nice hotel in a not so bad neighborhood. There were plenty of food places near by. However the room we were in was right next to the street and it was very noisy all night and especially after 5 am and the bed wasn't the best but it was comfortable. My issue with this hotel is all the rooms have an exterior entrance to the parking lot. This information is not provided anywhere that I could find and had I known this I would not have stayed here. I was a woman traveling alone and safety is a big concern of mine. In addition waiting in the lobby for a taxi in the morning for an early flight is not […] an option as the lobby doesn't open until 6:30 am. Also, the hotel airport shuttle doesn't start until 9:00 which doesn't really help anyone with a flight before 11:00 am. I would recommend staying elsewhere. We were locked out our room twice but never received a satisfactory explanation as to why. One day our room was not cleaned (beds made, trash emptied, etc.) After coming back to our room, we went to the office to get a box of tissue, and towels but they only had large towels available. Mattresses were not comfortable for stays longer than 2 nights.
