"Dinosaur in the Rough"
While the hotel served it's purpose as far as having a place to sleep. Visible damage to the outside of the building, exceptionally outdated decor and fixtures, all the way down to the burn marks on the late 80's style tv and the tape on the remote control holding the battery in definitely makes the hotel unique. I didn't sleep, this place haw not seen an upgrade or face lift since the mid 80's. The elevator was in terrible mechanical shape. Not a safe area for families even though it is right across street from cowboys stadium. I travel every month to that area I will never stay there again. The hotel is an older Days Inn and it showed. The room was clean, but the heating was outdated. We were just across the street from the event we had booked, so that was wonderful. We simply walked to the event. I did have a problem with the information the desk clerk gave us when we checked in, I had to ask again for the refrigerator and I had to ask […] how to call the elevator. The front counter was rude. They tryed to charge me 2 times for parking, which I had already paid. The room smelt horrible. We had to spray my kids AXE in the room to try to cut the horrible smell. You cant adjust the air to turn lower than 70. If this hotel wasnt so close to the Cowboys Stadium I would not have stayed there. The only good thing about this hotel was the location (rt across from cowboys stadium). They hotel wasn't dirty but it was in need of an update. Especially for the price they were charging guests. We didn't have hot water on the last morning of our stay and the walls were super thin. You had to go to the front desk to get an iron and ironing board bc […] they said they couldn't be left in the room. As far as a refrigerator you could pay $5 and have one brought to your room. We stayed here because it was close to cowboy stadium but we would have been better off staying farther away and taking a shuttle or even a cab to the game. They advertised free parking online but when we got there we had to pay more to park at the hotel than we would have paid for a cab from Dallas or Fort Worth. The walls were paper thin so you could […] hear EVERYTHING. There was no thermostat in the room and the blanket was about as thin as a sheet so I froze all night. We are sorry for this guest experience and that the guest is upset at the parking fee. On our websites, it is well displayed that there is "free parking except during Cowboys Games or special event at Cowboys Stadium when parking fee will be charged." We apologize that this guest appears to have missed the notice. All the business in the immediate vicinity of the Cowboys Stadium charges for parking. We do have a parking package which would include one event parking pass if you stay at least two consecutive nights around the event. All our walls are insulated cinder block type of construction. We do not have any records in December 2012 of guest having reported the temperature and hot water issue during the stay; otherwise, the staff would have worked hard to make guest comfortable and address all issues while the guest was still at the hotel. Nevertheless, we have checked all rooms for temperature and hot water issue and made repairs, if needed.

We spent the night on a Friday night of the UIL State high school playoffs. The staff was friendly and it is easy to walk across the street to Cowboys stadium. "Would not stay again"
We arrived on a Friday. The hotel was old. It smelled. The room was very small. The carpets looked dingy. The wifi was not working. When I called the front desk to tell them they said they would reset it. Still didn't fix the problem. That night we returned to the room and it was hot. We messed with the thermostat and the fan. Still nothing. The fan […] would kick on for a few seconds then stop. I called the front desk and they said to turn the fan off. That the internal ventilation would cool the room. Two hours later it was still hot. Nothing had changed. So I called again. They told me again to turn the fan off. I told them it was off and it was still hot. So they got us a box fan for the room. By morning the ac was still not working. When we stepped into the hallway it was cool. So obviously the ac in the room was broken. When we went to get breakfast a man in the lobby asked if they were going to make more coffee. The lady at the front asked the man if the other dispenser was empty too? He said he did not know it had coffee and that he thought it had water. The lady rudely replied back "why would we put water in a coffee dispenser?" So we checked out. Will not be returning! It appears that he stayed in a room with one bed which is smaller than our rooms with two double beds or two queen beds. All the room carpeting and padding are new. There is free WIFI and sometimes some guest would have trouble connecting to it. All they would have to do is to bring their laptop to the front office and the staff will try to help. The room's WIFI requires a passcode to join. The average temperature in December in Arlington, TX was approx 40's F with lows of approx 20's F. We have installed new green HVAC this summer and we have also checked all room and make all necessary repair, if needed, for good measure. We have reported what this guest overheard to our front office staff and though we do not know what the entire conversation or circumstance was, we have taken steps to correct it.
the coffee pot was perched precariously on the rim of the bathroom sink. Condiments for 1 cup only. Bed was hard and felt like it had ribs in it. Wi-Fi reception tolerable but poor and the TV had 15 channels - digital went out and only analog available. Could not set their alarm clock. Pillows were great.Avis véridique Hotels.com

Please contact our staff when more condiments or anything else are needed and they will be happy to provide them. All our beds are new and are pillowtop beds. We did not have any record of any guest reporting a non-functioning alarm clock but we have check the alarm clocks in all our rooms and made replacement as needed. We are glad that the guest felt our pillows were great.

"Not a great hotel."
The odor in the hotel was more than we could stand. The desk person said it was something the owners used because it is pleasing for their nationality. Our room didn't smell that way, it was clean and comfortable. I would not stay there again and would not recommend it to my friends. We love this hotel. It's dated, but clean. Hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful. WIthin walking distance of Cowboy's Stadium and Walmart. Less than a mile from Ranger's Ballpark so it's walkable for most. Free trolley from hotel to Ranger's Ballpark that picks you up right in front of the hotel, just ask for a trolley pass at the front desk. […] Discount tickets can be purchased at the hotel to tour Ranger's Ballpark. Be sure and check out the ethnic market in the same parking lot. Interesting shopping. The rooms on the Stadium side are our rooms with two new pillowtop queen beds with new furnishings, seating, decor, lighting, carpeting, carpet pad, drapes and bed skirts. These rooms have Stadium view and they do cost more but you do get more. The Hotel is walking distance to Texas Rangers Ballpark in Arlington and within approx 1 mile to Six Flags Over Texas, Hurricane Harbor water park, Arlington Convention Center, and UTA.
"CHEATED...so sad"
What a waste of money...This turn of the century hotel will offend. The hallway wreaked and the room smelled of cigarettes and general funk. We were staying for the Cowboys game and were told upon arrival that although we were paying a good sum for the room that we had to pay an additional fortybucks for parking. The owner said that we were welcome […] to stay and not pay for parking but that our vehicle would be towed. Around Stadium, all businesses manage their parking lots during events. As parking is limited at the Stadium, all parking spaces around the Stadium are used. Unmanaged parking lots are quickly filled by visitors and in our case that would cause our guests to be unable to park. Because of the extra costs associated with managing the parking lots - such as insurance, maintenance, added property taxes, annual City license fees and labor costs, all businesses around Stadium have to charge for parking during events. Parking fee is not unusual. Hotels next to Houston Convention Center and Toyota Center (a Sports Venue/Stadium and Concert Venue) charge for parking. Hotel next to Arlington Convention Center also charges for parking. And most, if not all, Hotels on San Antonio's Riverwalk also charge for parking. In fact, there are other examples where Hotels located in close vicinity to venues or attractions that draw lots of visitors charge for parking. Visitors who like to be next to the venue or attraction usually do not mind paying for the convenience. Others on tighter budget do not mind staying further away and having to deal with the traffic. We should point out that those visitors who chose to drive in to the attractions will also end up having to pay for parking as well and sometimes they may be unlucky and find no parking spaces at all. To help deliver value to our guests who need parking, we have a parking package that includes the parking for guests staying two or more consecutive nights around events at the Cowboys Stadium. Finally, we also have regular guests who fly in, take a Taxi, and avoid any parking fee.

The Hotel has done extensive updating in the guest comfort areas. These areas are less visible but have the most impact on the comfort of our guests. During the last two years, we have replaced all the beds and bed frames with high pillowtop beds and special metal frames that offers extra support. For the comfort of our guest, we also replaced all the carpets and carpet pads, drapes, bed skirts, and bed throws. For the extra sizzling Texas summer weather, we have nearly doubled our cooling capacity by supplementing our air conditioning equipment with state of the art and environmental friendly air conditioning equipment. For the safety of our guests, we have also modernized our elevator equipment and installed all new elevator controller,safeties, pump, and wiring. And our updating is still on-going.

We apologize for his bad experience and we have no record that anyone asked to be moved to another room because of smoke odor around 8/26/12. However, we have alerted our housekeeping and they are going through the rooms now and deep cleaning any rooms that have any smoke smell. It is possible that due to limited amount of room, some smokers stayed in a room the night before and decided to smoke even though, it is prohibited to smoke in the room or in the hotel as we are a smoke free facility ever since we replaced all our beds, drapes, bed spreads, carpeting and bed skirts early this summer. We have also notified all front desk clerks of this guest comment and they are taking corrective action to not give the impression this guest received. Our front desk staff receives continual and extensive guest service training and they work hard at taking care of our guests and their needs.

Due to the mechanical nature of some items, breakdowns happen from time to time. If it should happen while you are in the unit, just contact the front desk and they will either have the problem fixed or move you to another room. This guest stayed in our room with two double beds. These rooms along with the room with one double beds have standard number of outlets. The rooms with two queen beds are equipped with extra outlets. We are glad that overall he has a good stay. We came to attend Glenn Beck's "Restoring Love." We really appreciated the fact we were right across the street from Cowboy Stadium. We also went to see the Texas Rangers game which was also very close to our hotel. Although this was a non-smocking hotel our room still smelled like smoke. We found our room to be quite comfortable. We are glad this guest appreciated the fact the hotel is right across the street from Cowboys Stadium and she was able to also attend a Texas Rangers game at the Texas Rangers Ballpark within walking distance to the hotel. From time to time, it is possible that the guest from the night before may have smoked in the room even though they were aware of the hotel's -non smoking policy and our housekeeper in the rush of things was unable to remove all the smoking odor. If that is the case when you are here, please just inform our front desk and they will move you to another room. Our hotel regularly deodorize all rooms and also uses ionizer machine to remove smoke odor. Additionally, to minimize smoke odor, all our rooms' carpeting, carpet padding, drapes, and bed throws and bed skirts were all replaced recently. Our staff is happy that this guest found her room to be quite comfortable and her stay to be quite pleasant. We thank this guest for her time.

We stayed here for the Ranger/Red Sox game. The hotel smelled.strongly of cigarettes even.though it was a non-smoking room. The side entrance door was not locked. Therefore anyone that wanted to could come in the hallways. The room just felt dirty. We didn't go barefoot in the room after my son's feet got filthy from walking across the carpet. The toilet […] was not secured to floor. One wrong move and it tilted. There is a free trolley that will take you to ballpark but we didn't use due to wanting to be there early. Réponse de la part de Days Inn Six Flags/Ballpark/Cowboys Stadium We thank this guest for her time. We are sorry for her disappointment. During the Ranger/Red Sox games, the hotel was full every day. It is possible that due to limited amount of room, some smokers stayed in a room the night before and decided to smoke even though, it is prohibited to smoke in the room or in the hotel as we are a smoke free facility ever since we replaced all our beds, drapes, bed spreads, carpeting and bed skirts early this summer. We have reported this to our housekeeping and they are going through the rooms now and deep clean any rooms that have any smoke smell. Our hotel takes security very seriously and have installed 16 security cameras and motion detectors in the hotel. All common areas and parking lot are monitored by our staff 24/7. We are sorry this guest felt the room was dirty. We have reported it to our housekeeping and have rechecked and cleaned all rooms. We were unaware that this guest was uncomfortable in her room as noone had reported any issues during that period of time. Had we known she was uncomfortable, our staff would have offered to reclean the room or moved her to another room and would have offered to find her another hotel if we were unable to satisfy her. We have also reported to engineering to double check all rooms for lose toilets and to resecure them if necessary. It is unfortunate that this guest was unable to take advantage of the trolley as it is free, air conditioned, and will save on parking fee at the Ballpark. The trolley runs every hour and this guest could have taken an earlier trolley or could have even walked to the Ballpark as we are within walking distance.
"Not Luxurious, But Just Fine"
This is not a luxury hotel, but it is a good place to stay, especially for attending events at the Cowboys Stadium just across the street. The staff was pleasant and helpful, though not exceedingly professional. Nothing here is state of the art, but it did the job. "NO REFRIDGERATOR IN THE ROOM."
they did not provide the refrigerator that was reqested when i booked through you. The frontdesk said they did not even know we requested a fridge. Needless to say but they never found a fridge for our complete stay. My wife had to keep her insilin on ice the entire trip.Avis véridique Expedia
