Il y a un petit côté mignon dans ce motel un peu perdu dans la banlieue de Vancouver : on imagine bien le jeune du coin y inviter sa copine. La chambre est simple mais agréable, à ceci près que je n'ai toujours pas compris comment fonctionnait le chauffage... J'ai juste été déçu de ne pas pouvoir utiliser le wifi. Le motel se trouve à 40 min à pieds de la station Edmonds (compter 3$50 pour le SkyTrain de Vancouver + 5$ si vous venez de l'aéroport) mais n'est pas très loin non plus du lac de Burnaby, autour duquel il y a des randonnées sympa à faire.

Nous avons été très agréablement surpris de cet Hotel par son accueil, de ses lieux et la courtoisie du personnel. Et que dire de la chambre, tout était parfait. Ce qui nous a marqués, ce sont, les petites attentions pour plaire aux clients. Nous avons profités de la piscine et du bain tourbillon, un endroit calme et relaxant . Un court séjour fort […] appréciable et très certainement à recommander. Situé près du port de Vancouver et à 25 minutes de marche du fameux parc Stanley. L'accès aux places touristiques est facile et le service est excellent. N'hésitez pas pour réserver l'Hotel Metropolitan de Vancouver situé sur la rue Howe, c'est incomparable. Merci Lisez la suite

"comfy, designer hotel great service"
great service in this stylish boutique hotel right in the heart of the action. wonderful pool and hot tub with glass window wall overlooking the city. only concern was the expensive parking.

The room was very comfortable, clean, and quiet. The staff were very helpful (valet parking, front desk, and bar staff), and we were able to keep our pet in our room for a small extra charge ($30 canadian). I was extremely pleased with the experience. Try the truffle oil/parmesean popcorn in the bar :)

Very pleased with our room. Service exceptional. All the staff were most welcoming and pleasant. Appreciated the full-size bath and separate shower. Enjoyed a walk past the Pacific Centre and high-end shops on Robson St to a wonderful "high-end casual" restaurant recommended by a very pleasant and knowledgable concierge (thank you, Nathalie!). Most […] comfortable beds of our trip! Location was perfect for our first time in Vancouver. All the amenities, except microwave. Room service breakfast so-so, but that could be because the restaurant was closed for annual upgrade (we were there Jan 1-3). Overall, we had a most pleasant place to stay in a fabulous location. "Beautiful hotel"
I really liked this hotel very much. The room was beautiful with a large bathroom and a large terrace. The staff was very helpful. We were there on New Years day, when much of downtown Vancouver is closed. The staff had prepared a list of the open restaurants in the area that we could go to. "Met doesn't live up to the hype."
Rooms are "average"- TV's are old school. Room that was billed as "luxury" wasn't any different than a "Quality Inn". Which is FINE if you're paying Quality Inn prices. I did not! Staff is nice!

"Excellent for business"
The Met is a no nonsense hotel that is great for business travel. Free wi-fi, good work-out facilities and affordable rates make this my go to stop for my frequent trips to Vancouver. The beds are comfortable and bathrooms updated. The concierge is trustworthy, as I left my macbook in my room and called from the airport. It was delivered via Fed-Ex […] the next am. The hawksworth restaurant at the Georgia Hotel next door is great for a meal and cocktail if you have time. The bartenders are fantastic. "Rude Front Desk"
I checked in very late and was exhausted. The last thing I wanted to encounter was a rude woman at the Front Desk. She has the warmth of an icicle. Even when I called the operator to ask a simple question I was given attitude/condescention on the phone. BUT, the gentleman that assisted me to my room was extremely pleasant. "Metropolitan in Vancouver excellent location"
Friendly and helpful staff. Lobby was decorated for Christmas, nice. Televisions need an upgrade as well as program choices. Workout area is decent and steamroom is great.

i was pleasantly surprised at how much i enjoyed my stay at the Met. The room was small and cozy, with contemporary decor. The bathroom was well stocked with amenities. The robe was very luxurious and a nice touch. I usually bring my own conditioner from home as the hotel supplies are typically substandard. I did find however, that the quality of their […] washroom amenities was higher than usual. The parking was a bit expensive even for a downtown hotel. would however recommend this hotel. "Good location"
Traditional hotel quality, clean and nice bed. Don't like bathrooms where I can see myself on toilet in mirror. This one had even side view. Shower was good and clean

Everything was awesome... Except when they rang the doorbell and than opened the door when we were sleeping to see if everything was ok.. we were having a nap around 3:30 in the afternoon..

"Great location - nice room"
Spent two vacation nights at the Metropolitan. Service is exceptional. Location is super convenient to the Market, shopping, dining and it is a short light rail trip to the stadium. The room is fairly typical boutique hotel; relatively small but nicely appointed. Our room on the 10th floor was quiet and comfortable.

We stayed here one night prior to our cruise. Th hotel is very convenient fand within walking distance from the canada line skytrain from the airport. We walked down to the harbour and then to Stanley Park. We ould highly recommend it for a stay.

"Top Notch Gem in Downtown Vancouver"
We stayed at this hotel for one week and have enjoyed every minute of it from the time we arrived until we leave. I would classify it as a centrally located boutique accommodation close to restaurants, entertainment, shopping, tourist attractions and most important buses and Skytrain stations. All are within walking distances. The Granville station […] and the City Centre station are just 5 minutes away at a quick pace. Bell boys were friendly, helpful but not intrusive when we arrived. Reception was fast and we loved the large bowl of cherries to welcome us in the room. Housekeeping was very responsive; we requested an electric jug which was delivered within 10 minutes. The concierge was very patient and helpful with our enquiries. The most impressive of all were the front desk staff; they were friendly, courteous and helpful, remembering our names all the time. Nothing was too much trouble, going out of their way to assist. My son managed to book into this same hotel for 2 nights and when they found that it was for his wedding, upgraded his room to a suite. They even helped him booked a last minute holiday package to Las Vegas for his honeymoon on their system, which was better value than what he could get with travel agents outside. In particular we appreciated the extraordinary help and prompt services given by Kelvin & Natasha, very professional, efficient and yet friendly – truly top notch. The bathroom has been refurbished and quite large with separate bath tub and shower recess. The wash basin has plenty of bench space. The room size is alright for two but not as large as one would expect in North America. You can hear a bit of street noise in the morning but it did not bother us. The only drawback we experienced was the smell of tobacco smoke inside the room entrance. When we told the front desk, they immediately offered to swap our room but we did not take up as we’re quite settled in by then. This hotel is approx 200m from the canada line mass transit making journeys to and from the airport very quick with a time of 20mins which will beat any taxi great location for shops , restaurants and for walks in all directions diva restaurant whilst serving very good food may appear a bit limiting to some people
