There is no self parking so you must valet. We left something in the car and it took quite some time because they have to go get your car and pull it back around for you. But the room is nice and large with large restroom vacilities. Will stay again.

The hotel was really nice, the staff and everyone that work there was very helpful and cheerful when you talk to them. Overall condition of the hotel was excellent condition new remodel too. The room was very clean and comfortable to stay in. I would recommend this hotel to friends and co-workers.

I loved the hotel and the jetted whirl pool tub. The only issue I had was that I could hear the noise from the 2 rooms I was by.

the EM is a lovely hotel with great corner rooms and city views. the staff is mostly* friendly and accommodating. it is comparable in quality to similarly priced nearby historic menger and gunter hotels. the remodel is not perfect, but keep in mind the rate is below 200 dollars/night. the EM has made great use of the smaller rooms and used quality linens […] and fixtures. the fit and feel exceeded my expectations based on reviews i read here. *my nonrefundable booking started with a hiccup. due to family emergency, i was not able to check-in on my first reserved night, and it took a bit of discussion with the EM and this website to ensure that i would not lose the room and could check-in on day 2. to be clear, i was not asking for a refund, as i understood the terms of my booking. this should not have needed 2 ten-minute phone convo's. once that was resolved, the stay was quite enjoyable. we valet parked at comparable rate to surrounding hotels, and on foot we enjoyed fiesta, king william fair, and the river walk. the hotel is pet friendly. my booking had no pet fees, which was remarkable. the pool and spa area was clean, stocked with towels, and offered hours we could still enjoy after a late dinner. check-out and valet were fast friendly and smooth. first time to stay here, have stayed dozens of times in other San Antonio hotels. Rooms were very comfortable and quiet, appear to have had recent renovations. Great location for tourist attractions.

I LOVED this hotel!!! The location is right next door to the Alamo. I had a terrific view looking over the Alamo. The room was clean and comfortable. Loved the Whirlpool bath. The only down side is that you have to pay for parking at the hotel as well as internet if you want wi-fi! I loved the location and the front staff was wonderful, room super clean and nicely appointed. I don't know if I will stay here again, because it got really weird in our room at night. I don't believe in ghosts, but I can't explain the noises or the items moving. This is the first time i have ever been scared in a hotel room. The Emily Morgan Hotel was absolutely magnificent!!! The room, bedding,etc. was wonderful. Located right across the street from the Alamo and down the street from the River Walk. Perfect location! We will definitely stay there again. Only one unfortunate experience with pre-ordered room service for breakfast - not delivered as scheduled due to an employee […] who did not turn in the order the night before properly. When it was delivered late we did not have time to eat it. The $28.00 valet parking is costly but was necessary for us. Lisez la suite

Great location and nice historical hotel BUT it was overbooked therefore my room was not ready until 8:00 pm, requested a king instead We got; 2 queens, a roach in the bathroom and a bunch of promises to get free this and that, which did not happen and my card was charged for everything after I took off. I expect to get what I pay for, not to get free […] things. I don´t book anywhere else but EXPEDIA to make sure this never happen but this time it was not the case. The hotel was remodeled (5 million so the bell said) and it shows, the only complain in that regard is that the TV is way too small for to be watch from the bed. Lisez la suite

Beautiful historic hotel and rooms were updated in a modern style, roomy, and elegant. The Alamo is across the street from the front door, and the Riverwalk is only a couple of blocks away within walking distance.

It is easy to appreciate the history of the hotel and location! However, The hallways, carpets, decor, and layout seemed a bit outdated. In the room there was an obnoxious "clicking" that kept me up most of the evening. And distracted me while trying to have a conversation. Lastly and probably most important, parking was a bit astronomical. $33 a […] night? Aaaand it's not even covered parking. Owning a garage kept car is a nice privilege; if i choose to pay at a hotel, I guess i expect the same - especially at a downtown hotel. Yes, I could have verified this prior to assuming. Great hotel, staff, location... all round excellent. We were there for the end of renovation party. We met with the General Manager of the hotel who is the most helpful and lovely gentleman. It is next to the Alamo fort which is really interested to visit and we chose a room with the view of the Alamo. Also it's close to riverwalk with plenty of places […] for food. We took a quick weekend trip to San Antonio and came across this hotel. First off it was only a block away from the riverwalk, we had a very nice view from our room and the staff was great. Another thing was that the price was a steal and I was definitely overall satisfied with my stay.

This hotel is at a great location for being a tourist in San Antonio, Tx. If you get a room with view of The Alamo you will feel like you are in the middle of the Alamo courtyard. It is a historical building renovated with superb taste without being overwhelming. I recommend it highly.

Stayed here for a conference, and found the business room to be adequate in comfort and size. Downsides: the bathroom was a bit cramped with no counter space (again, I was in the business room, the others were more spacious); the hot tub was colder than the pool which was disappointing; and it's really expensive to park there (however, there really […] were no other parking options). Upsides: staff was very helpful and attentive to needs; within walking distance of many great destinations...this fact alone made up for a lot; the fitness room was well equipped; the restaurant downstairs was AMAZING; every Thursday in the lobby they do complimentary palmistry and card reading, which was fun; and the hotel is haunted...ask the staff about this, most have stories. Either I didn't see it in the fine print, or it wasn't there, but they charged me $30/night for parking, and they even tried to charge me for internet access. I guess it's not included in a standard room rate, but fortunately the internet […] was part of my room deal from Hotels.com, so they couldn't force me to pay for it.
