"A very comfortable hotel"
We have stayed at the Rembrandt several times and have always enjoyed it. The staff are helpful, they changed our room as it was too noisy and offered an upgrade when the second room proved to be quite cold. I also left my mobile phone charger there and they posted it to me within 2 days and I was only asked to pay for the postage. Overall a very nice […] hotel which I would certainly recommend. "The Rembrandt, Knightsbridge fab & a few niggles"
Stayed at the Rembrandt on 25th Jan 2012 as a surprise for my mothers birthday. Firstly, the location was perfect, opposite V&A, a short walk from Harrods & on a lovely road with some beautiful patisseries & retail stores. We arrived via South Kensington tube which was further away than anticipated because we were directed via the V&A, so a long underground […] walk, although was pleasant enough. Checked in at 10.30am although room wasnt ready, so left baggage with concierge safely in private storage area. Returned later to collect luggage & room key. We were in room 172 on the first floor & I was disappointed to find that despite a special request, there was no acknowledgement of my mothers birthday, which other hotels have accommodated in the past with a bowl of fruit or card or cake. The room was at the back of hotel, & was therefore quiet, but it was one of the older twin rooms. I was slightly disappointed by the bathroom as there was a mark on my flannel, a small stain on the floor mat, and the tiling and decor were tired. Another niggle was no plug by the kettle, which we had to move from the tray to another location. However, beds were very comfy, tv very modern & easy to use, and the room overall was a decent size. Breakfast was gorgeous the next day, and checkout easy. Overall I was impressed with the service and breakfast, and location couldnt have been better (in future come via Harrods tube stop!), but the room could do with updating. Lisez la suite
"Hotel Rembrandt - great overnight stay"
I had flown in from New York and was meeting my wife at the hotel. They allowed us to check in early (11.00) and could not have been more helpful. Spotlessly clean, comfortable room and the best hotel breakfast I have had in years. Convenient location close to South Kensington tube. We would certainly choose this hotel again.
"Don't stay here if you want to swing a dead cat..."
...which obviously we didn't but it would have been nice to have room for two of us to get dressed at the same time, as opposed to one person having to lie on the bed to allow the other floor space. Reception service was dire. It's a bad sign when on checking on the receptionist stops processing your booking several times to answer the phone. A similar […] experience for what should have been a very straight forward check out given the room had been paid for in advance. We had to queue for about fifteen minutes for breakfast do go early if you're in a rush. Only real plus point was its great location on one of London's finest neighbourhoods. We ate Londoners who stayed here for a night away from the children and a chance to Christmas shop easily the next day, and our regular festive treat was a let down due to the pokey room and poor service. "Comfortable with good service"
Comfortable hotel, in a great position with a most helpful and knowledgeable concierge.
"Not a 4 star"
This isn't a 4 star hotel. It's ok, but a 3 star. Not friendly service staff. Convenient location. We're here in the UK 3 weeks, the least good hotel of all. Wouldn't stay there again.
"The Rembrandt, 11 Thurloe Place"
Excellent hotel, would deffenetly stay here again. Room was a good size, and inclusive breakfasts are worth it - excellent selection. Perfect location - very central Only downside was the bar service - took forever to get a drink!
We have stayed at this hotel in many occasions and must say it is a joy to go back to.The staff are friendly but professional, the breakfast, brilliant! On our last stay we went 2 stops in the tube to Earls court next day 2 stops to Picadilly circus to a show,Great location!
"Great hotel - great price"
Very nice reasonable hotel with breakfast included. Nice , not very spacey, but a very cosy room. We will easily return.
"Great location"
The Rembrandt Hotel is in a great location. The restaurants, shopping and access to the Underground train are all within short walking distance. The hotel is well appointed and the staff is very helpful.
"The Rembrandt Hotel, great location and good value"
We were very pleased with our recent stay at the Rembrandt. We chose the Rembrandt due to its great location near to where friends live as well as local shopping and museums. Great value considering its location. Room + breakfast was very appreciated. The room was small and only complaint was the "tightness" of the bed vis-a-vis the nightstands. I was […] afraid of hitting my head on the corner of the nightstand while sleeping! But overall a very pleasant albeit short stay at the Rembrandt! Lisez la suite

"great location"
The Rembrandt has many pluses: good breakfast buffet, comfortable rooms, gym and pool next door, V&A museum opposite, close to restaurants (and Harrods) and on the Piccadilly line for access to Heathrow.
"Typical large hotel, but well run."
Everything was fine, but a bit soul-less. 6th floor executive room had dormer windows so the ceiling was steeply sloping making it a bit hazardous. Ask for a lower floor if you are tall. A bit of a walk to S.Kensington or Knightsbridge underground especially if you have a suitcase. Good breakfast.
"Theft"
The location was great. The front desk staff was great. BUT such a disappointment to find our room had been robbed. While packing for our departure we sadly realized jewelry had been stolen from our luggage. The hotel staff were told, but to no result. What a shame!
"AMAZING STAY"
This is a great hotel! The staff are very helpful and the buffet breakfast is amazing. The rooms are large and always spotless! 2 Minute walk to the best shopping in london and museums. 5 minute walk to the Knightsbridge underground station. surrounded by amazing Zagat rated resturants!
"The Rembrandt, London"
Really nice hotel, very friendly and helpful staff and the breakfast was great. I'll definitely be going there again. If you want a hotel near to the museums then this is definitely the one.
"The Rembrant - South Kensington"
We had a w/end break here and really enjoyed it. The Sauna and Steam room were the best, but the pool was always running swimming lessons for kids in the day until 6pm! However, the neighbourhood is nice and the tube is easy into the west end.
"Amazing value for money"
A fantastic hotel in a great location, 5 mins walk from Harrods and nearest underground station - excellent value for money.
"Hotel Rembrandt"
The Hotel is in sight of the V & A Museum and within walking distance of several Museums + Harrods + Parks. Round the corner from the Underground. Very clean and Staff friendly. Will recommend and definately use again.
"Great location, but no extras included"
My husband and I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights on personal travel. The hotel location is fantastic, the rooms are comfortable and clean and the overall finish of the hotel is nice. We were glad we got a good deal on the room prices, though, as no extras were included. When the internet in our room wasn't working (requiring 45 minutes on the phone […] with a technician to remedy), we were told we'd still need to pay the 3 pounds to use the internet on the computer in the lobby. Local calls are a pound a piece as well. English is not the first language of most of the staff. Oh, and the elevator can be a bit tempermental. Other than that though, the place was a perfect place to stay and it was easy to get the local sites and the tube from it. I would definitely stay there again. Lisez la suite

"Really bad service"
The hotel is very good in itself ok, but the staff is really bad. They don't answer questions correctly and dosen't seem eager to check it, they just make assumptions. When I asked what a ticket on the subway costs they made a guess and didn't even bother to check it. They also insisted that you can't top up your oyster card with cash. Which is false. Aslo […] I think a 4 star hotel shoulden't charge 3 pounds for 30 minutes on a computer with low internet connection speed!!! I've been to other 4 star hotels and none of them charge to check your email. Lisez la suite
"Impressive"
Efficient staff, great room, great location. good breakfast but tables are bit close together giving a bit of a cafe feel!
The room was nicely located, but man was it hot in the room. I opened the window over the night, but it never cooled off. The bedroom is very small, but sufficient.
"Rembrandt - excellent location"
Great location in great neighborhood. Close to tube stations. Right across the street from V and A. Close to shops, cafes, restaurants. Hotel staff is very nice. Rooms are little outdated and small and noisy. you can hear next door neighbors closing their drawers, doors...can be annoying if you are not an early bird.
"Rembrandt Hotel - Kensington, London."
Great hotel in a great location. Comfortable, welcoming, relaxing.Excellent service. Great food. Great value ! Across the road from the V&A and Natural History Museum, ten minutes walk from the Albert Hall, and straight into town past Harrods and Fortnum & Mason and into Piccadilly. If your coming to London and DON'T consider the Rembrandt, you may […] be sorry. Lisez la suite
"Timeless luxury"
I booked this hotel for myself and business guests when attending an event. After being disappointed with previous hotels booked I was expecting much of the same but was pleasantly surprised. The receptionist was very welcoming and having to change a few rooms around, nothing nwas too much trouble. I stayed in an executive room which was spacious, clean […] and included an ironing board(sadly lacking in many others). The bed was huge, comfortable and the area was quiet where my room was located. The hotel impressed my guests too and I would certainly have no problem recommending this hotel to anyone. Lisez la suite
"Rembrandt Hotel in London"
The breakfast buffet was great. Location was great, short walk to Harrod's and Hyde Park. Across the street from Victoria and Albert Museum. Nearby Tube stop. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.
"Rembrandt"
Pleasant lobby, cozy lounge area. Cafe was rather sterile feeling but food was good. Rooms were a little worn but clean. I'd go back.
We had a double room which was not suitable as one side of the bed was by the wall and we are not young. However, the next morning we were offered a lovely room after informing the them at reception. The location is perfect for Harrods andThe Royal Albert Hall both a short walk away. The Victoria and Albert museum which we found had a really good cafe […] for hot and cold meals was directly opposite the Hotel. We would deffinately stay at the Rembrandt again. Lisez la suite
"Great hotel and wonderful location"
First time staying at the Rembrandt and loved it. I travel every year to London for work and will be back next year.
"Quality Hotel in very nice neighborhood"
Though the room was smaller than I expected, the high quality breakfast included more than made up for the smaller room. Superb service at breakfast, with huge selection including all the expected choices. Excellent Conceige service at front desk, ready to assist. Just across the street from the Victoria and Albert museum and right on the bus line. […] Also within walking distance of Herrod's - department store of the queen. Would recommend this hotel. "The Rembrandt - London"
Staff helpful, room comfortable.
"rude staff"
the staff seemed to be in the middle of a row when we turned up. They were extremely rude and unhelpful. In fact I do not think they even looked up once and said 'hello' Also parking is impossible although this is inevitable due to location, but something to think about Room was OK nothing special.
"Splendid Hotel"
Lovely hotel in great location for museums and knightsbridge. First class breakfast included in price. Would recommend to others.
"The Rembrandt Knightsbridge London"
The hotel was close to all the museums restaurants and tube station. Not far from all the must see sights and theatres. Comfortable hotel with big rooms and wifi available. Good breakfasts and courteous and professional staff. Would highly recommend hotel to anyone visiting London.
"Rembrandt Hotel, London - well located"
This was a real find after trying various other London hotels in different areas. The overall ambience, and the comfort and standard of room combined with attentive service made this hotel a winner for me. The package provided very good value for money while the convenient location was a decided plus factor. The closeness of major cultural institutions, […] shopping and transport options (including ease of access from Heathrow) made my stay so much more enjoyable. I subsequently learned from others in a tour group that I joined that the Rembrandt is their preferred hotel in London. In future it will also be mine. Lisez la suite
"The Rembrandt - masterpiece"
We sadly were only there for 1 night but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very conveniently located for our 2 day trip. Worth another visit!
"Close to Harrods"
Check in was fine. Staff were helpful and polite The restaurant staff were excellent Our room was at the back of Hotel so we had little traffic noise We noticed that other comments on this site mentioned the noise from other rooms We found this as well You could hear everything going on in the next door rooms I was sitting on the bed with my back against […] the wall when the next door left and shut the door the whole wall shook and vibrated Our final decision to stay here was that they offered breakfast in the tarif and that was great We had a couple of minor issuses and the staff attended to these immediately Lisez la suite
just average
"Beautiful spot!"
Directly across from Victoria and Albert, around the corner from Science and Natural History Museums, steps from South Kensington Tube. Comfortable room, delicious breakfasts.

"Family visit"
Good friendly service with perfect location opposite the V&A .The hotel seems to cater for tourists rather than business.
"Rembrandt Hotel, just what we wanted"
My family chose this hotel as it was not far to go to Buckingham Palace as I was attending an investiture there. Check-in was swift and couteous, even with a new girl on the desk, and my party of 8 were soon in the rooms. Very clean and tidy rooms, lovely to see tea-making facilities!. We had a meal in the Palette restaurant for 11 guests that evening, […] the bar service was inobtrusive but efficient, the only thing that let the hotel down was the service. Meals were served sporadically, meaning some had to start for fear of their ,eals being cold, but overall the food was excellent quality. Check-out was again extremely efficient. I noticed when I got home that my credit card company registered 3 transactions for the stay - on arrival; the meal; and check out; even though I paid in entirety on check-out. This caused a problem with my credit card company but it was resolved. Overall, I would recommend this hotel (despite the road works which do not intrude) to fellow travellers, indeed the canadian and american guests we met seemed to enjoy the hotel. I would definitely stay here again as a base for touring the capital. Lisez la suite
"Rembrandt Hotel South Kensington London"
The Rembrandt is directly opposite the Victoria & Albert Museum and surrounded by the fashionable South Kensington neighborhood. The room price included a very good breakfast buffet. The access to transportation is very good. Part of the hotel has been modernized with motion activated lights and touch switches which failed one night in the full on position. […] The hotel staff acted quickly to give us another room to sleep in and had the faulty switches repaired early the next day. The hotel is busy with some tour groups and has a busy bar at night. Good double glazing on the windows made the room quiet for sleeping. A good price point hotel well located for business or vacation. Lisez la suite

"great location-quiet-accessable to top spots"
a short walk to Harrods, tour buses stop accross the road, staff were excellent for helping us with anything. Rooms were clean and very comfortable and breakfast was one of the best we ever had!
"Great location and very nice room"
I would definitely go back the Rembrandt. It is as close to the A & V museum as you can get and the Natural History Museum is just a few blocks over. Close to shopping and Harrod's Department Store. Room was large and well equipped. All amenities in the room and the bed was comfortable.
