Vraiment excellent. La chambre etait propre, la reception etait chaleureuse et on est a 5 minutes du lac Geneve a pied. Tres proche de la gare Cornavin et le transport en commun est excellent. L'hotel vous donne une carte gratuite pour les metros, bus et trams pour la duree de votre sejour. Fortement recommande. Un petit avis, la ville de Geneve en […] generale est TRES cher. Satisfait du professionnalisme des employés de l'hôtel. Insatisfait des "2 lits collés" l'un a l'autre, pour un couple ce n'est pas l'idéal. L'oreiller n'était pas non plus très confortable. Globalement satisfait néanmoins.

Nous sommes allés de mauvaise surprise en mauvaise surprise... Tout d'abord l'annonce de l'hotel ommet de préciser que Kipling est situé en plein quartier chaud de Geneve : prostituées mais surtout leurs clients louches et petits trafiquants occupent la place. Une fois arrivé à l'hotel nous pensons pouvoir garer notre voiture, mais non! On nous apprend […] qu'il fallait réserver avant! Et que çà va être très difficile...merci pour l'information! Nous voilà donc partis pour 45 mn à déambuler dans le quartier pour trouver un emplacement. Une fois (enfin!) rentrés à l'hotel nous pensons pouvoir nous détendre en écoutant un peu de musique : surprise! Il faut payer pour ce service aussi! Bref pour résumer c'est trés très cher payé pour un hotel de quartier louche et avec aussi peu de service. Lisez la suite

Très propre, belle décoration, bon service, très bon rapport qualité prix. Environnement moyen. Very clean, nice asian deco, good service, good quality for rate, not the best environment of Geneva however. I advise this hotel with no doubt.

Very nice hotel. Big room, bright and seems very new. Staffs are nice and helpful. Location is very close to the main train station and can also walk to the lake.

The hotel was alright (the room and the breakfast were good), the staff gets the best points for their willingness to help and inform about other things besides those relating to the hotel itself. The location is good.

Very comfortable, very beautiful - great value if you can catch a deal

I was very happy with the hotel itself -- great rooms, awesome bathroom, super central, if slightly seedy location. This is where most of the mid-range hotels are clustered in the city, and this one happens to be on a quieter street so no street noise at night. Overall a positive experience!

The hotel is not situated in the best place, the surrounding ain´t the best, but is really near the train station, and some nice restaurants. Also, walking distance to Genève old city. All the people were very nice, and help full. We recommend this hotel. Next time, We visit Genève we'll stay in this hotel.

Beautifully decorated hotel- excellent service, buffet breakfast. Very convenient location but in a noisy neighborhood, including at night.

To be honest, we picked this hotel because it was the least expensive hotel near the train station that still looked halfway decent. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was despite the unassuming exterior. Furnishings (both in the lobby and the room) seemed very new and modern. The room was very well-appointed, with a comfortable bed, nice veranda, […] and large bathroom. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I love this hotel. free wifi, great rooms, wonderful service. A real find for a business trip in Geneva!

We only stayed a night here but it was really great. The room was comfortable and spotless. The location is only 10 mins from the station and a 5 min walk to Lake Geneva. Hotel is situated on a quiet road off of the main road and so was not noisy at night. The staff were really helpful and even printed out the times of the trains that we needed the […] next day. The breakfast was a buffet and they offered a huge choice of food. We used the case store which was locked and secure. All in all a great little gem and the price was reasonable too after searching few websites. Note Switzerland has it's own plug adapters which we rented as expensive to buy. Lisez la suite

Hotel was very nice, close to train station. Neighborhood wasn't great, but worth it given the price. Would stay again when we return to Geneva.

Really nice small hotel, booked a single occupancy room and was given 5th floor room with balcony - although room was a little small, it was perfect and well equipped for one business traveller - bit small for two adults but other rooms larger. Decor and ambience are very nice - sort of British Empire in Malaysia/India theme ! The receptionists, especially one woman in particular made us very uncomfortable. Our requests were met with an underlying reluctance bordering on hostility - we asked her for a restaurant menu, she responded, flustered that they would need to be returned. We asked for a bottle opener, she refused to let us take it to our room and said they would send […] it up but we were unable to reach the front desk when we called them. She managed a thin smile when we entered each day, and it became increasingly awkward. The hotel itself is decent - the room is nice for a three star. The bed is uncomfortable and we had back problems the morning after sleeping but the overall quality of the room was high. I would not go back, mostly because of the awkward interaction and unhelpful and passive aggressive staff, but they may have just had an off day or two. Lisez la suite

The decor has old world charm with a ritziness mixed in. The location is very convenient...the city train stop (Mole) is just a half-block away. The breakfast is great and varied. The business center is free. The only complaint I have is that the pillows are too thin. But, that's it. I just love this hotel. I feel very well-treated and the location […] is perfect for business meetings and shopping. There's a small grocery store just around the corner and several great ethnic restaurants just about a block away. You can't beat the location and the price. The train station is also walking distance away. We decided to take a taxi back to the airport because we packed too much (suitecases quite heavy). Next time, we'll pack lighter. Really had a great stay here the staff were very good and the hotel itself was spatious elegent and very clean and well maintained. Thought the snow would keep us there for a week and for the first time ever that didn't strike feari into my heart! Warmly recommended .

The ground rules prevent me from discussing the most important aspects of my stay, so let me say this, but suffice it to say, travelers should always be mindful of your surroundings, and keep your valuables in a non-conspicuous place. The best things about the Kipling Hotel were the free Internet, which was reliable and reasonably […] fast, and the fact that the hotel staff endeavored to be very helpful, including volunteering to serve as a liaison with local authorities for an incident completely unrelated to the hotel. Thanks to hotels.com, the rates were very competitive. After hours, bars are in and quality restaurants were non-existent, but there were a number of decent ethnic eateries. Geneva is a VERY expensive city, akin to Oslo, for example, so plan accordingly. Breakfast at the hotel was equally expensive, but since it's a buffet, you can in effect eat enough to cover lunch as well. If I chose to stay in this part of Geneva again, I would probably consider staying here again. Lisez la suite

A really very nice hotel situated ,as many reviewers before have pointed out, on the scruffier edge of the city close to some seedy bars and sex shops. Excellent service from helpful hotel staff, just a shame about the area - but hey, what do you expect in Geneva, if it was in a better part of town it would be three times the price! Very clean, very large, excellent room. Helpful and friendly staff. .. walking distance even with luggage from train station. We did not get the breakfast deal. There was some confusion about me just getting a coffee from the breakfast buffet. I was first told that coffee would be charged to the room. The next day I was told that just getting a coffee […] was free. No coffee charge showed up on the room staus which you can access daily on the room TV. But , at checkout, I was charged for two coffees.....doesn't seem like a big deal, but if I had realized how much I would be charged ( 12 francs total if I remember correctly), I would have walked down the street and had a coffee for half the price. Excellent hotel. Great room. Inexpensive. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel.

Although disappointed that the price doesn't include breakfast (which can be purchased separately, albeit at Geneva's inflated prices!), the rooms in this 3* star hotel are very comfortable. Decent sized and good facilities in the bathroom (excellent shower). Even a mini Toblerone chunk to welcome guests. The location is only a 15 min walk away from […] the lake. Driving is a little bit tricky because of the one-way nature of the surrounding streets. Aside from one street connecting the main road to the Geneva lake and the few prostitutes on the corners of the intersecting streets, the location of this hotel was great. 10 minutes walk and you are on the Lake Geneva, the train station was also 10 minutes walk. There are several nice restaurants to eat at in the surounding area and overall safe to […] walk but you should always be on guard at night in Europe. The service and hotel condition were great. The only draw back the closet space is limited but this is standard unless you want to shell out 3 times as much as this hotel will cost you. The breakfast was decent and worth the money in comparison to the prices in Geneva in general. Kevin the fantastic front desk employee at the hotel recommended we spend our last day visiting a French town called Anncey 90 minutes away by bus and what a suggestion it was! Anncey is a charming big town on a beautifull lake surrounded by mountains and we had a wonderful day there. Don't plan on doing much shopping at Geneva, prices are outragous, unless of course money is not an object to you, but then again if that so you will not be considering a 3 star hotel :), enjoy your visit and sorry if there are any typos. The hotel was superb, very close to the train station and easy to get to. The bed wasnt very comfortable, which was a shame. But as a value for money venue in an expesive City, this will be hard to beat. Very close to the hotel is Geneva's red light district and we (fairly confident well travelled company) didnt realise and ended up walking through […] it on the way bakck to the hotel. We didnt feel comfortable and there were some interesting characters knocking around. To be fair this about sums up the hotel - great hotel in a fairly grotty part of Geneva, but you get what you pay for. Lisez la suite

Excellent price for a Geneva hotel. It is close to the train station, but on the edge of a slightly seedy area. We did not feel unsafe, however. Staff was pleasant, efficient. They were able to get us into a room in the morning after a long overseas flight, which we appreciated. Room was comfortable and they had a business center with free internet […] access. Breakfast was pricey, so we did not take it. We found a place (Brioche Doree) a few blocks away where we got coffee and croissants at a decent price. Lisez la suite

The girls at reception were the most helpful I've met. We came back to stay here again and even though there were no more rooms they called every hotel in town to get us a room. Great rooms, great service and very close to station.

初めてのジュネーブ出張で利用しました。駅が近いのと、すぐ近くにバス停もあり交通に便利です。またレマン湖ほとりまでも徒歩圏内で観光にも良いロケーションです。朝食ですが、値段が高いと思って敬遠していて最終日に初めて利用しましたが、とても美味しく、この街の物価の高さを考慮すればとてもリーズナブルに感じました。
