"Centrally located"
Very good location and facilities like WiFi work everywhere. The maintenance is a little tardy as it took 2 days to replace a faulty light bulb in the room. The rooms are dimly lit and suitable for business travellers. Great place to stay to see the city and catch the sights.
"Great location"
The location of the Hotel is fantastic. It's close to everything important you need to visit and see. I chose the small room and oh my god, when they say it's small, they really mean it! Although it's size I have to say I quite enjoyed it anyway, I was always out from morning to evening visiting the city and I only needed a bed to sleep therefore I […] can consider my self quite satisfied. As I said the room was small (that's because I chose the small room, not all rooms of the Hotel are of this size) but I had all the basics important requirments. Also, I would like to point out that it was clean and that's the real important thing! Breakfast was satisfactory. If you are looking for a different kind of holiday than mine I cannot say, but if you are looking for a basic room and you want the place to be clean and be located in a great position I definitely recommend Hotel Opera. "Friendly staff & good place to stay"
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and a great location! Would definitely recommend the Hotel Opera.
"classic hotel - well served"
not new, but classic hotel, classic service and nice danish breakfast. will go back
"Fantastic location, right in center of Copenhagen"
A bit old and small, but just as small and normal as any room you would find in Paris. A true city hotel in Copenhagen.
"Unpleasant stay"
Too much dust in the carpet, couldn't sleep at all because of the dust. The shower sprinklers are old and blocked. The breakfast is not so good as it's described on the website.
"Hotel Opera"
Great location but our room (small double room) was ugly and uncomfortable - nothing like in the pictures at hotels.com. The room was not 3 star level at all, public areas were nice. Breakfast was good.

"For dope-smokers"
Hotel is claimed to be a non-smoking property. It is not true, everyone seems to smoke weed there. There is undoubtful smell in all the rooms (I've been in three of them). Well, that's finally what some people come to Copehhagen for. Rooms are very small, there is only 1 socket in a room which is inconvenient. No hair dryer or any complimentary things […] except free wi-fi. An elevator is small but really nothing special, standard Otis thing. Breakfasts are good but at rush hour it can be difficult to find a table. Lisez la suite

"Hotel Opera in Copenhagen-great old world hotel"
I really enjoy this hotel and Ive stayed there twice. Its a small hotel, very old, and has the sweetest elevator youve ever seen. Breakfast is excellent and the staff are very, very nice. In fact they were so accommodating to me when I arrived way before check-in time. You can buy a drink after hours as well. Its very convenient to Kongens Nyortev train […] station M1 & 2 line and 30 minutes by metro to airport. Only downside: bathroom tiny, doors creaky so its a bit noisy. I'll stay again. Lisez la suite
"Great Location. Get a larger room."
This hotel is on a quiet street but very close to city center and all the attractions. The staff was very friendly, we asked for extra towels and pillows and it was not an issue. On the downsides, the room we had was really small, ordinarily I wouldn't mind but this time because of the layout and the size there was not even room to put down a suitcase. […] I recommend getting one of their Superior rooms or a larger room if you stay there. Also, the breakfast that was included was good but not as many options as other hotels, for example no fried eggs, or sausages - they only had hard boiled eggs, yogurts/cereals, pastry, salads, cheese/salami, fruit. I would stay there again but get a larger room. Lisez la suite
"Hotel Opera - Copenhagen"
My first impression of Hotel Opera on entering the lobby was old fashioned, luxury hotel. After riding up the four passenger elevator and locating my room, the hotel's origins as a boarding house became evident. The room was small, but comfortable. The shower had decent water flow and room to turn around. The view left something to be desired as I was […] in the back of the hotel. My only complaint was that the mattress was a pad about 1.5 inches thick on top of a box spring. Nyhaven and the expensive end of Stroget are less than five minutes walk away. Lisez la suite
"Nice Hotel - Great Location"
Around the corner from canal and cafe's and also from the metro. Great location and very nice hotel. Free WiFi also a great plus.
"Excellent Location"
We recommend this hotel to people who like to be close to restaurants, cafes, shopping, public transportation, and sight seeing. The rooms were clean and everyone in the hotel was very helpful. The morning breakfasts were fabulous. It was quiet and comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay here.
"Hotel Opera - Copenhagen"
Very friendly & helpful staff. Common areas are well appointed and remind you of an Englishmen's club. Rooms are very small and bathroom even smaller. Room decor is minimalist at best at furniture quite old. Location is very convenient to Stroget and Christianburg Palace. Lots of restaurants within walking distance.
"Hotel Opera"
The hotel is in a great location. We stayed there twice, in two different rooms, which varied greatly in size. Check the details of your booking, our first stay did not include breakfast, our second stay did.
"Great location, bleh rooms, overall decent"
We stayed here for four nights at the beginning of July. The room was very small, which was somewhat expected, but this one was the smallest of the hotels we stayed at during our Scandinavia tour. There was practically no view at all, as we faced the inside courtyard(?). However, the room was fine as far as cleanliness goes and there weren't really […] any major problems. Although, now I remember us feeling like the sheets were sort of damp/moist during our first night, which was kind of uncomfortable. At any rate, if you're there to explore the city and only use the room for sleep, like we did, then it's not a big deal at all. If you're looking for spacious rooms or luxury, this is not the hotel for you. However... if you're looking for a hotel with a good location, this is definitely it. You're basically on the main Kongens Nytorv square, which is literally a three-minute walk to the Nyhavn strip of cafes. And on the other side of the Kongens Nytorv is the beginning (or end) of Strøget, which is the long pedestrian-only shopping street that stretches all the way down to Tivoli. And finally, the metro is just around the corner, so it's perfect if you're coming from the airport. There's free wifi in the room and the lobby, however our wifi went out for the last day or two because there was a huge storm that apparently knocked out their network. But when it worked, it worked fine. The staff was friendly and helpful. Although it doesn't have the most beautiful and spacious rooms, I'd probably stay here again, simply because of the phenomenal location. Lisez la suite
"in need of renovation"
This hotel's location is perfect, but the rooms are in need of renovation. Everything is old and tiny. It took us about an hour to even figure out where to put our luggage and we didn't have that much. The bathroom is very small, and the shower is separated from the toilet by a flimsy curtain, making for some mopping time afterwards. The elevator is […] also tiny. It says it accommodates 4 people, but only if you don't mind very intimate contact with your fellow travelers. At the most popular breakfast times (around 9 am, esp. on weekends) maneuvering can become very awkward as there are crowds of people around a small food buffet and crowds of people looking for tables. The breakfast itself is decent, fresh and a pretty good selection of breads, cold cuts and cheeses, though absolutely the same every day. People at the reception are also nice and helpful. Next time we'll look for a slightly more modern hotel. Lisez la suite
"Opera Copenhagen - in the sweet spot !"
The Opera hotel in Copenhagen is ideally situated, close to New Harbour with all restaurants, but also to the shopping district. At the same time, it's really quiet with hardly any traffic outside. Charming rooms and facilities, good breakfast buffet. On the downside, time has taken its toll, some maintenance would do good.
"Hotel Opera Copenhagen"
Great location with superb staff .Callie from Canada
"Convenient, Charming, Comfortable"
The Hotel Opera is on a very quite street in the shadow of the Royal Theater, near Nyhavn, the Strodet, and all other downtown landmarks. The hotel has a perfect blend of modern and old Danish style. The staff were especially helpful. If you are driving, parking is difficult and outrageously expensive.
"Wonderful experience very cosy and comfortable"
I really needed a getaway, was on my own, and needed to feel cared for. The comfortable rooms and friendly staff are great, the breakfast perfect, and the bikes brand new! Such fun to get on a bike and tool around the city. kim
"Opera Hotel in Copenhagen"
Wonderful location, near the metro and the Royal Theatre. DREADFUL noise every morning at 5:45 from garbage and delivery vans, which went on for almost an hour.We were there a week. Lots of light, and good shower, but the basin was almost at knee level, very oddly, and there was no room for our suitcases. The room was supposed to be a Superior Double, […] but there was nothing superior about it; it was very small, and there were no special furnishings...just one poster. Very bare bones. We would recommend it for the location and service, but thats about it. Lisez la suite

"Hotel Opera in Copenhagen - great location"
Walking distance to just about everything - metro for easy access to airport. Round the corner from the national theater and ticket office for all cultural events. Walking distance to harbor where you pick up the canal tours, loads of restaurants and the water taxi that takes you to the ballet. Very near Magasin a great department store. Staff are very […] friendly and helpful. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Only downside for us was lighting - hard to read in rooms as lighting not good - but we got around it by reading downstairs in the lounge or going out to cafes or parks. Highly recomment as long as luxury is not your thing. Lisez la suite

"Hotel Opera - Copenhagen"
Fantastic location, really near the main shopping strip and Department store however the hotel is a little dated and somewhat scruffy. The bathroom is in need of serious TLC and cleanliness was not spectacular but the bed was so comphy! This hotel certainly has it's charms but if I return to Copenhagen I'll go for something a bit more modern/Danish […] in style. Lisez la suite
Charming hotel in a superb location. You are close to everything you want to see in Copenhagen, and close to Metro that takes you right to airport. Breakfast was great. Staff was very helpful. It is an old-fashioned hotel but therein lies its charm.
"EXCELLENT LOCATION!"
Hotel Opera's best quality is its perfect location. Easy to find, steps away from Kongens Nytorv and the Strøget, one street away from Nyhavn, close to Christiania, The Little Mermaid, and a 2 minute walk to the metro. The rooms are small but fine. Reception is friendly. If location matters to you, definitely stay here.

great location although small rooms
"Nice Atmosphere and Value"
A Wonderful location two minutes' walk from Kongens Nytorv, a central plaza, and the old Copenhagen Opera House. Very clean, old hotel with dark wood and heavy furnishings--a lot of personality. A great value in a fabulous, but astoundingly expensive city. The train from the airport stops at Kongens Nytorv so you don't need to take a cab. I would definitely […] stay here again.
