Carousel Inn and Suites at the Disneyland Resort - Anaheim

Great hotel for the price - fantastic location, friendly staff, quiet room and comfortable bedding. We will definitely stay here again!

The staff treated my cousin and I with the utmost respect. Assisted us with our Disneyland tickets, taxi to the train station. The cleaning staff and maintanence were all very professional. I was very pleased to see how well dressed the front desk staff looked, very professional. Thanks again for a wonderful trip.

Great location. Rooms are too small. Great shower, but too small. Needs to be updated with a curved shower curtain rod to create more room. Overall worked for location, but I will look into another hotel in same area for next trip to Disney.

Couldn't be a better location unless it was on Disneyland property! The room was nice with a microwave and fridge. Nothing fancy, but great for us. We spent most of our time in the parks!

Your front desk staff was very friendly and extremely helpful! Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfy. The bathroom, including the thick towels was very nice. We love the proximity to Disneyland! We were given coupons to Quiznos which we thought was a nice touch...however, we did not enjoy Quiznos. The restaurant was dirty and not very friendly […] staff. Upon arrival, the floor in our room was sagging, which made the bed crooked. We were given another room, which had the same issue. Both rooms were in a separate part of the hotel with only one floor that was obviously older than the main hotel. We were then given a room in the main building, which we accepted. However, although the floor was straight, […] the bed was sagging by about 6 inches. The problem was fixed by staff. The room was clean, though very shabby with an old tube-TV, furniture from the 80's, loud manual-dial AC, dim lights, very dreary feeling. We asked to be let out of our reservation so we could go to another hotel (the Marriot down the street, which we've stayed in before and is very nice - we chose this hotel this time because of the slightly better location. Big mistake!) Management would not let us out of our reservation, since they required a 24 hour advanced notice, even though we were very unhappy with the room quality. So we stayed begrudgingly. Breakfast was a let down - the food was low quality & stale. The Orange Juice wasn't actually juice, but some sort of orange flavored drink. There wasn't any meat - sausage, bacon, anything would have been appreciated. The only protein was a big bowl of boiled eggs. The Entire hotel had a "cheap motel" quality. We were very disappointed and will not stay again and will steer friends away from the Carousel, unless they make some significant improvements. Go to the Marriot 100 yards up the road! The hotel was satisfactory, the convenience to the Disney resort was fantastic!! The hotels towels were in definite need to be replaced! It was nice that the hotel offered breakfast and that we never had to use our car because of the excellent location!

the tv was too small and the carpet was too old fashioned and kinda dirty... Thank God they had the slippers... But, over all the location was great and the room was very cleean the service was great and the pool was even more amazing. My kids had an awesome time.... Yes I would stay there again...

We wanted to be close to Disneyland. This hotel provided us with that for sure. However, the beds were really really soft. So much so that when you sat on them they went down a good foot maybe two. I found an old candy wrapper in the room. And our second room AC/heater didn't work with multiple complaints to fix. They charge for WiFi and you have to […] use their valet service to park the car with an added cost. Positives they have a refrigerator and microwave, it is really close to Disneyland. We didn't use the pool but it is on the 5th floor. It is small but really nice. They had a basic continental breakfast. The valet staff were really helpful with questions. PROS: Hotel is very nice & modern. Room had a refrigerator & microwave. Staff were wonderful. Very close to Disneyland. Hotel allowed us to pay an additional $10 to remain parked at there facility after we checked out. Then we just walked across the street to Disneyland's entrance. It saved us a little money because parking at Disneyland is $15 to $20. CONS: […] there was no jacuzzi, pool was very tiny and you had to pay for parking for the night we stayed at the hotel. I stayed at the Carousel Inn on a recent trip to Disneyland, and was very pleased with the room and the location. It is only a block away from the Parks, and should you choose not to eat in the park, there are restaurants on the strip also. Where we stayed there is no elevator, so we had to carry our bags up 2 flights of stairs, so it was good we didn't […] have that much to carry. Also the valet parking charges a fee, whether you choose to use the valet parking or park the car yourself. There are no vending machines on the premises, but there is a convenience store that is 2 buildings away which has pretty much everything you want/need. Overall, I would definitely stay here again. I love staying here as they have a safe in the room which even the expensive chains don't offer. The room was nice, the bed linens were upgraded, it had enough towels for all guests, and the continental breakfast was just right to start off the day. The TV was an older CRT model that needed repair but they fixed it within 10 minutes of my calling. Great location and the rooms are nice

This hotel was right across the street from Disneyland, so location was terrific. The staff could not have been more courteous and helpful from check-in to check-out. The continental breakfast included hard-boiled eggs, which was a nice addition. The breakfast was adequate. The room was clean. The hotel was very close to Disneyland and we loved that. Very short walk to the parks and good location for places to eat around the hotel. The hotel was somewhat dated and needs to be remodeled. Hardwood floors and no carpeting in the room. Beds and room size were comfortable, but poor choices of TV channels and reception. Exterior hallways were […] loud and noisy each time another guest walked by with their luggage. It sounded like rolling thunder with screaming kids. If you are looking for a good location, this is the hotel. Parking was an added fee, but expected due to being across the street from Disneyland. Front desk staff was ok, but did not allow us to check in until very late in the day and did not give us a room in the area that we paid for during the booking. The elevator at the resort is possibly the slowest elevator I have ever used. At one point my wife and I waited 10 minutes for the elevator to reach our floor, and there are only 5 floors in the hotel. We had a lot to carry and we kept convincing ourselves that the second we start to take the stairs it would arrive. I wanted to make sure and add the […] last statement because we are not just lazy. The updates that were made seemed to be made in all of the wrong places. I expected an entirely different, entirely better experience for what I paid to stay at this hotel. The bed was semi-comfortable and the bedding seemed clean. The room had hardwood floors which was very nice and the bathroom was very large, but the cons out-weighed the pros. The television must have been from the 1980's and some of the channels made […] a loud buzzing sound so you couldn't watch them. The shower had absolutely no water pressure so it felt like you were showering under a broken sprinkler which meant longer showers to wash all the soap off and your skin still feels scummy. The doors do not have a very good seal around them and the windows are single-pane so you can hear EVERYTHING! We stayed awake late and had a hard time sleeping past 6:00am because you could hear people walking around, stomping down the hallway, etc. We could even hear people's conversations, word for word. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff is hit or miss. When we first checked in, the staff member at the counter was not helpful at all. She went over the need-to-know hotel information way too fast and made us feel stupid when we asked questions. But upon check out, the staff member was friendly (although he did ask us how our stay was). Don't be fooled by the wording when you book the room, you DO NOT stay in the tower that is shown in the picture even though the room is listed as "Tower 1 Queen", "Tower 2 Queens", etc. There is a building attached to that pretty glass tower and that is called "The Tower Building" (which is what that is referring to). Also, the website says that there is a $9.00 valet parking change but they still charge you $9.00 even if you park your car yourself. And with the taxes they add to the $9.00 parking fee, it is actually more like $11.00-12.00 per day. Although this hotel is very conveniently located within walking distance of Disneyland, I would not stay at this hotel again. There are plenty of other places that are just as close. Lisez la suite

Chose the hotel based on location only, and was spot one next to Disneyland. It allowed us to rise early, get in the part, return for a nap in the afternoon, and close the park at night. Convenience, convenience, convenience. Front desk checking was little disorganized. The room door stuck once, trapping us in the room, but was fixed within a few minutes […] of calling the front desk. TV reception was AWFUL, and the AC unit didn't cool very well. Fortunately, we were dead tired by the end of the day, because these are the softest beds ever made. I felt like I was sinking to the floor; terrible for my old back! Lisez la suite

We had the best time on our trip! The hotel was right across the street and walking distance to both theme parks. We were able to eat outside the park for less at the local restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. The staff /valet was super helpful and kind. The rooms were clean and had cozy down comforters and pillows, which were a treat! […] Overall it was great for the money and we would definitely stay there again. :) Lisez la suite

The location was close to the park I wanted to attend but it was not what I had asked for. I had asked for a view of the park on the west of the hotel. I got a view of the south or DRIVEWAY AND ROOF OF THE HOTEL. The had given me a two room suite with 3 queen beds and no where to sit. I was finally moved to a councier room that I had paid for. Almost directly next to the crosswalk to the Disneyland entrance the hotel is in an ideal location if you're going to the park. (this is the only reason to ever pick this hotel, so if you're not going to Disney then don't stay here). The decor is fine and the bedding was nice, but the positives end there. They charge $9 per day for parking while family […] staying nearby weren't charged at all. The walls are paper thin, the air conditioner was extremely loud and the outside walkway is coated with a rough surface so every rolling suitcase sounds like a freight train going by. The room seemed fairly clean at first but the bottom of our socks were black after walking around for a while. Half the TV stations didn't come in at all and the ones that did were fuzzy and a low signal strength message covered the screen every couple of minutes. The continental breakfast was okay but was the minimum they could provide and still call it a breakfast, we ended up going to IHOP anyway so it didn't save us any money. Because it's so close to Disney it may be worth it if you don't plan to be in the room much, but if I go back I'll try one of the other hotels in the area instead. Lisez la suite

Convenient location directly across the street from the Disneyland main entrance. Clean room Bed was a bit lumpy & sunken in the middle Business center laptops were never available - too many kids constantly playing online games!!!

Was a bit cautious from the online comments about the room lacking in size but I found our room spacious enough and hotel lobby / dining area pleasant enough. Only lacking is lack of WIFI in room (you do get free WIFI laptop access in lobby for guests) and the lack of room slippers, not even disposable ones for guests' use which I did feedback to the […] staff - they said that only the more expensive rooms had them however to me it's a minimum requirement. Apart from these, it was comfortable, felt safe and just walk to Disneyland which is wonderful enough a reason to choose this place in which to stay. Lisez la suite

Beds comfortable and bathroom modern and clean

our stay at the Carousel was fine. Fine. We checked in with a total of five people and were told that the roll-a-way bed we had previously requested was an additional $20 a night which seemed a bit much. Additionally the pool we were looking forward to using was closed for service. They did offer free shuttle service to a sister hotel to use their pool […] but everyone knows - it is not the same thing. We did request, and were granted, a waiving of the rollaway fee to make up for it but I don't think we should have had to ask. We also had to request additionally towels and washclothes since the rooms come ready for four...I just think if the reservation is made the room should be ready with that amount of linens. The continental breakfast is what it usually is...simple carbs and simple sugars. No suprises. The location is fantastic. We got a great price and only had to walk less than two blocks to Disneyland! Nice hotel and so close to Disneyland!!! Have now stayed there 3 times and would stay there again! Like being able to walk back and forth to Disneyland without having to wait for a shuttle.

First off when I pull up to the hotel I am bombarded by a man saying he has a gift for me and my boyfriend. We go to check in, early, I wasn't expecting a room or anything. The place looks fairly empty and it is a Thursday in the off season. We are told there is a room ready and we a re in luck, but there is normally a fee for early check in. We were […] told check in is usually after 4 pm. We get to the hotel room and clearly the photos from the are of a much nicer hotel than this one. The carpets are stained, there are strange stains on the walls and food splattered on the walls. The heat is on, it is over 70 degrees outside. The bathroom floor has dirt on it. The romote control of the super old and crappy television is missing, the beds are so so, the hot water takes forever to heat up, and the staff is unprofessional at best. One last thing is that they have hidden charges for everything!! Internet is expensive. I could go on and on about how dissatissfied I am. This place is a glorified super 8 Lisez la suite

we stayed in this hotel two nights and i would not recommend this hotel. breakfast was horrible and not enough room for everyone. juice was on ice and watered down, food was cold. pool was not opened and they were trying to send us to a connecting property that was basically a bar not a hotel with a pool...with our children, on a good note the rooms […] were clean(no bed bugs) and right across the street from disney but for the price...i did expect more. also charges 9.00 a night for parking and the valet is also the bell boy...so if you need to get your car,plan to wait. we stayed the first day at the comfort inn on ketella(about 1 mile from this hotel) it was cheaper and everything was great...if i had known it was going to be like this i would have boked all 3 days with them instead of the carousel. hope this helps. I booked my daughter a room for one night for her two day visit to disneyland. Hotel staff where very wellcoming, My daughter needed early check in , bagage deposit and late departure. None was a problem. I am looking forward to book this hotel accomodation again for my family members in the future.

It's nothing fancy, but great access to the Disney parks. Close to freeways as well. Plenty of dining around even if you don't want to eat in the parks or in Downtown Disney. Staff is friendly. Remember the $9 a day parking charge, but at least it's valet.

Enjoyed our stay. Nice rooms, great service, close to Disneyland. Skip the continental breakfast because it SUCKS! I know it is free, but come on now. I wouldn't feed that stuff to a mangy, dirty, starving stray dog. I hate McDonald's but it is right next door. Try that instead.

We are not satisfied with room and breakfast. Room's not enough space for family and is not clean. Also breakfast was not very good. I didn't eat any there.Just get juice. But location is GREAT!! We visited disney park 2 days and every evening we come back room to get more clothes for night parade. Very easy to get room!! And price was very good!! […] !! Lisez la suite

My family has chosen to stay here twice now during our visits from New Zealand because of the excellent location (opposite the Disneyland and California Adventure entrances), reasonable cost, and great family accommodation. The costumer service was fantastic. Parking is so reasonable. It is a 5 minute walk to Disneyland. Price for room can't be beat and they even throw in breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel. The staff is just great!!!!! Rooms are clean and comfortable.

We stayed at the Carousel Inn for 3 nights in one of the Conceirge Club rooms. The hotel is in a great location and room was big enough and pretty to look at but that is about it. First the TVs do not work. They have terrible cable and nothing comes through clear...it was all blurry and you can't watch anything without getting a headache. It was like […] watching a 3D movie without the glasses. In our room they had wood floors and they were not mopped clean. Our socks were filthy! The water pressure isn't that great and I only had hot water once while I was there. The BIG one for us was that they WiFi costs $10 a day and it didn't even work. It was like having dial up. The breakfast in the morning consists of stale donuts and pastries and the concierge level gets some breakfast sandwiches from Quiznos...which are pre made semi cold and not much flavor...just egg bacon on a pita. For the price this hotel was NOT worth it...I have stayed at lots of hotels near Disney and this will not be on my list to restay, Lisez la suite

The first thing they told me that the pool was closed for repair and this was when I was confirming the reservation.when we walked in to the room it was stale and stuffy, the ac was noisey when it was turned on. Great location, hotel is clean, easy to just stay and go to the parks during the day

Cheap, clean, comfortable and close! Staff was friendly. Breakfast was nothing special, but not at all bad. They had the usual fare including boiled eggs and some fresh oranges. And the hotel can't get any closer to the park! Be aware that there is an additional fee for parking, but it's still a bargain.

No complaints, except couldn't find the ice machine!!

Being able to walk out the hotel room and be at the main gates at Disneyland in less than 5 minutes was fantastic. No shuttles, no driving and parking. It was great. It's not a fancy hotel, but very comfortable and in good shape. Breakfast was plentiful and convenient. All in all, worth the money.

Clean and safe hotel. Perfect if you are looking for a place to sleep and shower in between park days. We had two rooms and both had laminate flooring which was perfect with kids with allergies. Comforters and bathroom was clean. It took us 5 minutes to walk to Disneyland and California Adventure!!! Lots of affordable restaurants on the same block.
