"Had a great time"
The room was great and roomy. The only thing I didn't like, was the parking. They charged $19, for a basic lot not a garage. Nor did it have a gate. If you get there late night it is hard to find a parking spot on the street or in the lot. I will go back soon just get there earlier
"Queen Anne Hotel - SF, CA"
Checked-in late, but front desk was welcoming. Asked for a late check-out the following day, which they happily said okay with no hesitation. Breakfast food was good: juices, milk, croissants, toast, fruits, hard boiled eggs, pound cake, etc Rooms had a good heater to keep warm in the SF winter!

"Quiet Neighborhood"
This hotel is located near a quiet, residential neighborhood. A nightly Ghost Tour meets in the lobby. I highly recommend the tour, for $20 you get a 3 hour, entertaining & informative walking tour.
"A Lovely Aging Dowager"
The Queen Anne Hotel is still a grand lady perched on a San Francisco hill. The interior is beautiful with lovely Victorian decor and furnishings, but the carpets are a little worn, paint is chipped off in places on doors and woodwork. It could use - if not a whole a face lift - a bit of a touch-up. The breakfast was good, the location is unbeatable […] and the staff is warm, friendly and helpful. And the price was definitely right. Lisez la suite
I loved look at all the old pictures and furniture. Took me back in history.
"Queen Anne Hotel, San Francisco - a quiet corner"
This hotel lived up to all expectations. It was very comfortable, quiet, yet welcoming. The breakfast was good, and the staff very helpful.
"Queen Anne is Delightful"
My only complaint is the carpet was a bit musty, but the building is old. The decor was quaint, the atmosphere was peaceful, and the cost was reasonable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
"the HOTEL QUEEN ANN HOTEL IN SAN FRANCISCO"

the hotel is in a perfect location where everything that you want to see and do in SF is within driving distance. the breakfast is a great touch to start your mornings. the staff is very friendly and kind. the hotel and furniture is a bit old but nothing to complain about. parking is across the street and you have to pay per night. other then that it […] was a great stay and worth the price. "Christmas Romance-Victorian Style"
The hotel was more then I expected. Your walked into the lobby and you felt you had gone back in the late 1800"s. The Christmas decorations added an addition enchantment and was an excellent feeling for spending the holidays. The touch of serving tea and fresh cookies was a highlight after spendng a day walking around in the city. I came to visit family […] and friends and I had to show them the two parlors with the fireplaces. Everyone loved the environment. Thank you for making my holidays so special!!! Lisez la suite
"Queen Anne Hotel is the best in San Francisco"
I had to have an emergency root canal during my stay at this hotel. Fortunately the location led me to excellent dental care. This was due to the Dental School being in close proximity to Queen Anne Hotel. The dentist who did the root canal also teaches that course at he dental school and is one of it's graduates. The hotel staff was helpful and welcoming. […] We will stay here the next time we are in San Francisco. Lisez la suite

"Queen Anne - Excellent hotel in a great location"
The Queen Anne hotel is an excellent hotel on a quiet street in the Pacific Heights area of SF. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel facilities were good with complimentary tea and coffee available all day and an excellent buffet breakfast included in the stay. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The location was excellent […] - not that it had any major sights on it's doorstep but it was easy to get to all the main sightseeing areas from the hotel. The area is quiet and residential and extremely safe with the lively Fillmore Street a couple of blocks down for good eating and drinking. Would highly recommend this hotel Lisez la suite
"Quiet comfort in the middle of the city"
We were surprised at the quietness of our stay. We were anticipating traffic noise and the normal background buzz from fellow patrons but none of that materialized. The bed was one of the most comfortable that either one of us have enjoyed. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. It would be a great setting for a murder mystery dinner with […] its Victorian furniture and decor. My only complaint was that the vent in the bathroom blew hot air whenever we turned it on. We're looking forward to a return visit. Lisez la suite
"Queen Anne Hotel in San Francisco"
We really enjoyed this Hotel. It is in an old building and so appears a bit run down but the rooms are clean. Breakfast is included and is quite expansive. There was Sherry, tea, coffee and cookies every afternoon at 4pm. We loved sitting by the fire in the Parlour and talking about our day and deciding where to go for supper. The concierge was very […] helpful in helping us choose places to eat and helping us to find attractions. Thanks for a great stay! Lisez la suite
The Queen Anne Hotel is located in a pleasant and safe neighborhood. The cosy atmosphere is unique. The rooms are well-decorated. The lobby offers another pleasant opportunity to spend the time with coffee, tee, and cookies. The reception is extremely helpful with all kinds of information how to get around. The only disappointment is the poor breakfast. […] Nevertheless, I prefer the Queen Anne Hotel to all other hotels I have known in San Francisco so far. Lisez la suite

"Queen Anne Hotel in San Francisco"
The Queen Anne Hotel in San Francisco in the Japantown neighborhood is a classy hotel which I would definitely recommend. It has a spacious Victorian lobby with two fireplaces. Free newspapers are available every day. A very friendly concierge is available to assist you with all kinds of questions. The location is great. Japantown and the Filmore Street […] area is a short walk as is the fast Geary street bus. The hotel is quiet and comfortable. The only negative is the mediocre breakfast but given that most San Francisco hotels don't provide breakfast it is nice to be able to breakfast in the hotel. Also, ending the breakfast a 9AM on weekdays is inconvenient for non-business tourists who want to sleep a little late. It would also be nice to have a small refrigerator in the room. Overall, the hotel is excellent and we will definitely return. Lisez la suite

"A mixed blessing"
We love this hotel, but dislike certain aspects of it. The location is quiet, the neighborhood seems safe, there's great shopping and dining nearby at Japantown, and it's close to the Geary bus lines that will take you directly into the heart of San Francisco. The "free" breakfast is not worth getting up for--but a glass or two of late afternoon "free" […] sherry by the fireplace in the Victorian living room is nearly worth the room price. The staff is eclectic--from highly personable to downright rude. The quality of your room is purely based on luck of the draw. We had a terrific, airy and spacious room on our first stay, and a dingy, crowded space this time--two doors down from the first room. If you want the "Hilton Standard" experience, forget about this place. If you are okay with a tiny bit of adventure, and can overlook little things like the 1970s perforated-card key door locks, then you could have a fabulous time at the Queen Anne. Lisez la suite

"Queen Anne Hotel..great location"
We enjoyed our stay here..downfalls were the breakfast (could be better) and our tv didnt work..(wasnt too concerned as we were out and about all day)..staff didnt seem too concerned about it though. Location was great, good restaurants in walking distance..If you're not used to noise, you may ask for the quietest room. We awoke to the morning bus (very […] early) and pigeons cooing (very early).. But all in all, we would recommend this hotel especially for the historic value Lisez la suite
Charming, funky Victorian. Responsive staff. Quiet neighborhood.
"kind of disappointed :("
You had to squint your eyes a little to not notice the shabbiness of the Queen Anne. I've stayed at the former Historic Pontchartrain Hotel in New Orleans before, and I was really hoping the Queen Anne would measure up. Not even close! Our room was on the 4th floor, which was fine... but it was in desperate need of repainting. Nice TV and good WiFi […] tho. The bed was okay, but everything was just okay here... food from Costco for the 4 pm tea in the salon and for the spartan Continental Breakfast. If maintenance isn't a priority at an Historic Hotel, then it comes off as someone letting people stay in their Antique Shop. The hotel really isn't decorated well at all, there are some cool antiques, but they are just lined up against the walls. For the price, I'd rather stay at the Hotel Monaco or somewhere closer to downtown. This Hotel is not in Pacific Heights... it's much closer to JapanTown (which was cool, but not really much there). Parking was $15 per day at a small lot across the street from the Queen Anne, not bad for San Francisco. I was hoping for more, but the Queen Anne just really didn't do it for me, I won't be staying here on my next trip to San Francisco. Lisez la suite
"Delightful and Central for walking tours"
We scheduled this stay to see a concert at Fillmore West. It was central for the entire Fillmore District, which we found to be delightful. The room was spacious and very period. We looked for something that was not ordinary. Be prepared for a little noise (not much as not much traffic - this hotel is away from busy central SF) as the window are period […] and need double panes or need to be weatherized. Otherwise, we are coming back ! Lisez la suite
"The Queen Anne Hotel - reasonable for San Fran"
If you enjoy staying at a period hotel, and don't expect a lot of amenities, this hotel is just fine. Our room was a bit cramped with large pieces of furniture, but the bed was comfortable. The lobby had fires going in all the fireplaces, and coffee or tea available at all hours, which made it a pleasant area to sit while waiting for a cab.
"Queen Anne Hotel-Lovely and Comfortable"
Perfect for a romantic getaway or just relaxing time away from home or base for a SFO vacation away from the tourist areas. . The rooms are lovely. The staff are the best-friendly, professional and at the top of their game at all times. Sherry and cookies in the afternoon were a welcome touch. The hotel is within walking distance (3 blocks) to San Francisco's […] Japan Town complex and 5 blocks to the Fillmore district shops and many good restaurants. Parking is extra yet the lot on the same block as the hotel and is very reasonable by SFO standards. We'll be back! Lisez la suite

"Charming stay @ Queen Anne Hotel in S.F."
Had a wonderful stay here. Really charming hotel, and definitely not a cookie cutter modern hotel. We will definitely stay again! Staff very friendly, helpful. Loved the sherry & cookies in the afternoon, even though I'm not a sherry drinker - it's the cozy, welcoming atmosphere with gas fireplaces in sitting rooms. Very nice continental breakfast plus. […] Please tell them to keep it up. Loved the victorian furnishings - place is a bit worn, but NOT shabby. Excellent value. Lisez la suite
"Best in San Fran"
The Queen Anne is very conveniently located and the best in San Fran. Very friendly and accomodating staff. Every time we left they would ensure we knew where we were going and recommended the best places and routes. It is such a beauitiful hotel and is by far better than local chain hotels!
"Queen Anne- a gem"
A wonderful hotel with beautiful Victorian furnishings. Was really a San Francisco experience unto itself. Will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Pleasant stay. Clean room, nice bathroom, great cookies!
"Yay! Loved it!"
I would stay here again! I have spent too many years staying in generic hotel factories so I was so very pleased at the quickness, helpfulness, friendliness and pleasantness of the staff not only at check-in, but any time we had a request (ice, bottle opener, etc.). The sherry in the lobby was a very nice treat and the character of the place was worth […] it. We stayed in the regular queen room and it was very nice. Nice marble/stone on a piece of furniture in the bedroom and again in the bathroom. There was a missing veneer on the bathroom vanity, but I didn't notice it at first. You will not like this place if you don't like old houses, but if you do - you'll love it. Lisez la suite
"Old World Charm and a Warm Welcome"
The Queen Anne is absolutely unique and within walking distance of the Kabuki Springs and Spa. It is a wonderful place to spend a comfortable an cozy evening after relaxing at the spa or just a special "in-town" stay over. The hotel is very different than the cookie-cutter, sterile, blah ,yet expensive, hotels we've become accustomed to. It is convenient, […] , clean and lots of fun. Complimentary afternoon Sherry and cookies in a beautiful parlor is a nice touch. Highly recommended for romantic or solo getaway. The staff is warm, welcoming and accommodating. Our room was upgraded without a request, they were just being nice. It was surprisingly quiet, the bedding was gorgeous and the bed super comfie. Lisez la suite
"Beautiful room, great service, great price."
One of the best stays I've had in a long time. The room was spectacular, clean and comfortable. The only things I would mention to someone planning to stay there is that this is an older place and even though they have free high speed wireless internet, there aren't many outlets - not even at the desk / table. Bring an extenstion cord. Also, the neighborhood […] is fine, but not the best. I felt perfectly safe walking around by myself, but for the security concious (paranoid), there are nicer neighborhoods. One cool thing is that there is a company that hosts a guided "Ghost Walk" if you're in to some adventure. I plan on staying here the next time I go to San Francisco. Fantastic price compared to the downtown hotels and a great breakfast in included. Lisez la suite
