"Hotel Ramada limited, Lombart st, San francisco."
"ramada san francisco lombard street"
hôtel bien placé qui permet des visites à pieds dans les quartiers alentours. par contre les chambres manquent de lumière du jour et c'est un peu bruyant. autre atout: un parking gratuit;
The hotel was ok. I was NOT expecting to climb stairs especially when I had requested a ground floor room. I was not told there are NO ground floor rooms and you have to climb about 8+ stairs to get to first floor. The parking was a joke. Yes it is free but there are only 13 regular spots and 1 handicap spot for the 40+ rooms so if you want to park […] for free its a first come first serve and don't move youe vehicle as the spots are very tight to get into. The noise echos as people are walking through to their room or up the stairs to the second floor. if there is a noisy group which we had every night we were there the front desk did nothing to keep the noise down and it went on for 2 or mor hours after 11pm. The room it self was comfortable with a big king bed. It was close to the bus line to get to Fishermans Warf so that was a good thing as parking is expensive on the warf. Would I stay here again....hmm it depends, but probably not. Lisez la suite

I guess it was decent for the price and location. Towels were old and had other people's hair on them :(. Continental breakfast was not a breakfast at all! No place to sit as it was in the hotel's tiny lobby, one loaf of bread, one choice of cereal and that was it. Room had kind of a weird smell. Parking was VERY limited, only about 15-20 spots.

"Worst Stay"
Room was dirty-afraid to take shoes off. Stains all over the carpet. Not worth the $$ I paid for. Neighbor was noisy-no one responded to complaints. Cigarette butts all over the place! Would not recommend this place even if price was acceptable.
"Ramada, San Francisco"
We enjoyed our stay, price was fair but parking was at a premium. Location was nice, walking distance to many shops and resturants.
"Terrible Hotel"
I chose this hotel because of the location but the hotel is in terrible condition. The towels are thin like sheets of paper, you need to wear your shoes in the room as everything is old an dirty, there are bed blankets laying on the floor in the hallway and even in the garage, breakfast is served in the reception but is limited to coffee, orange juice […] and cereal. ....and you will have to take to your room as the breakfast area is about 3 by 3 feet. I only stayed one night, but I saw people that hired several nights trying to cancel future nights at the front desk. Pretty bad experience, wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Lisez la suite
"Ramada , Lombard Street , San Francisco"
The Entrance and Surrounding was terribly dirty, one of the rooms smelt awfully, beds o.k., cleaning in one of the rooms o.k, some restaurants nearby,

"Shame"
The owner, the management but most of all the house keeping should be ashamed, there was blood on the blankets and the towels where so dingy, looked like they was shop rags. smh It's sad that they have no pride in their own buisness. Just saying.......
"Affordable and close"
The hotel is kind of run down and is pretty small. We got the room with the one king bed. The service was excellent and accommodating and was very close to most of the main attractions in San Fran.
"Ramada inn Lombard"
Worst hotel and service I had ever seen
"Don't understand other reviews"
Was a little worried after reading other reviews. I found it very nice. Asked to be moved downstairs and they said no problem. Walked to Chestnut Street restaurants Would recommend if you are just looking for a nice inexpensive place in S F with a decent location. Don from Chico
"Ramada Limited North San Francisco"
I had made a reservation through hotels.com for Ramada Limited in north San Francisco for a late Wednesday night arrival. I had a reservation for a king-size non-smoking room. I have allergies to cigarette smoke so I cannot use a room where someone has smoked in it. Upon arrival at 11:30 PM, the service desk personnel informed me that the room was no […] longer available. It took him approximately 5 minutes to find another non-smoking room. He was indifferent to my need of a non-smoking room. In the morning when I checked out, I asked for a receipt and this same person replied that it wasn't necessary since it was already charged to my credit card. I need receipts for tax purposes. He finally gave me one. This is not my idea of a Ramada Inn or service. Lisez la suite
I stayed at this hotel for 5 days in February 2012. The location was great; in walking distance from the marina, the Golden gate, a comercial street (Chesnut street) and bus stop ( corner of Chesnut and Buchanan) The room was very clean, had new furniture, everything was working. The included breakfast consisted of excellent coffee, cold cereals, juices, […] large waffe ( done by yourself), and toast. The personnel were very pleasant, polite and most helpful. Lisez la suite

The hotel does not have enough parking spaces, so if you return in the evening, you have to drive around looking for a parking spot on the street. The towels are so old. They are not that expensive to replace. Noisy.
There was dried blood on the comforter (not the bedspread, the blanket), the towels were dingy, snagged and the bathmat had a hole in it. I seriously question the cleanliness as the tub was stained and had something running down the side which I cleaned off before showering. The location is fabulous but with so many other hotels nearby, I wouldn't […] recommend this one. Lisez la suite

"Worst Hotel Ever!!!!"
I have been travelling for years at budget hotels and this is by far the worst one I have ever stayed at! Let me start my saying there is NO parking. we left our car in the spot we found for fear we would loose the spot. they offer free parking ...what they should advertise is free parking , we wish you luck in finding one. it is a brisk walk to fishermans […] wharf but i am used to walking. all staff are rude and not helpful. they also offer free wireless. it is very difficult to keep a wireless connection for more than 2 minutes straight. Our shower curtain had a thick layer of mold on both sides. Our bed sheets and bathroom sink had long nasty hairs upon arrival. the towels were stains with what looked like blood. oh i hope you enjoy being woken up by loud drunks/ homeless people walking in the courtyard in the middle of the night yelling at the top of their lungs waking me out of a deep sleep. the surrounding neighbourhood does not seem the safest either. I hope everyone takes my advise and stays somewhere else. IT WAS AWEFUL! Lisez la suite
The location and complimentary parking were the only perks for this hotel. Our room was literally falling apart. There was a hole in the wall and the bed didn't even have fitted sheets. Our room was near the entrance and we could here people talking and moving since 7 am. They sounded like they were actually in our room. Not to mention room service […] knocked on our door atleast 5 times in an hour, then walked in while we were sleeping! I wouldn't stay here again unfortunately. Lisez la suite
"Great Location, but that's all"
Door lock wasn't working and had to be fixed by maintenance, and even then, still didn't work properly. Parking was tight and not enough spaces. Red mold on shower curtain. Box spring on one bed was broken. Pillows were flat. Hotel overall is in need of updating and cleaning. Great location. Front desk clerk very attentive.
"Served It's Purpose Well"
After staying 5 nights at the Fairmount on our last trip to San Francisco, I knew this hotel wouldn't quite be the same. The location was excellent, within walking distance of The Wharf. Neighborhood had a few interesting folks but overall was fine. Only issues I had was with the parking, which even for a small car was very tight (but at least it was […] free) and for some odd reason each morning I was there I had to get my key card re-coded. If you are looking for an affordable, no frills hotel in San Francisco, this might be for you. Lisez la suite
"cheap place to stay"
cheap place to stay, not too far from the wharf. don't use the taxis recommended by the hotel, the driver we got was super super rude.
"Clean and convenient"
It was completely suitable for our needs. The receptionist at night was very helpful in helping us park outside. We would stay there again if the need arises.
"it's a cheap hotel that feels cheap"
It wasn't horrible but there was nothing great about it either
"disgusting hotel"
The room is very bad< service is so unfreindly noisy place with bed bugs all around that you can feel crawling all over ur body. No elevator Small and dirty toilet We have to leave and check out the place after 3 hours staying in the room
Thank you
"Ramada Limited - Dirty, Loud"
Although the staff was friendly, the room was substandard in the following ways: 1) Towels were very old and stained. They seemed to have been laundered but with no detergent [did not smell fresh and had a yellowish hue, not white]; 2) They could use some new bed sheets, as mine were old and not very clean. I also found a couple of long hairs on the […] bed sheet under the covers [not mine]; 3) Very loud noises coming from the outside -- other guests, passers-by in the middle of the night, some drunk, homeless, or both. My room was as far back from the street as possible, so traffic noise was not a big problem; 4) The water in the shower took at least 3 or 4 minutes to warm up. With all the negatives, this motel room was not cheap. Overall, I could have done much better had I spent a few more bucks per night elsewhere. Lisez la suite
"The Ramada Inn Limited in San Francisco"
Very dirty. Holes in the sheets and covers. No room at the breakfast area. For the elderly or handicapped be warn that there are no elevators and you have to go up about 18 steps with your luggage without help.
"Ramada Limited, San Francisco- Run down and noisy"
This hotel is not in a good location, it is not quite close enough to walk anywhere of interest, it is very run down, dead plants hanging off the balcony and water leaking from the balcony. Smoking rooms right next to non smoking rooms so you could smell cigarettes in the non smoking room. The worst part was that it was noisy, people coming in off the […] street at all hours of the night drunk. ( the court yard was opened to anyone on the street), so homeless people would wander in. "The Ramada Limited, Lombard St, San Fransisco"
Out of town but only 15 minute stroll to the Bay and 35 minutes to Pier 39. A cheaper option with regular busses passing frequently to the city centre and free parking which is rare in this city. Comfortable room but this was the only hotel out of eleven that we stayed at where the receptionist insisted that the room was not available until 3pm, which […] actually was not a problem anyway as we got on a bike and cycled the golgen gate bridge! Would stay there again. Lisez la suite
"Ramada Ltd San Francisco"
Only acceptable quality of this hotel was location. Close to tour bus stop. Towels were actually so thin they had ripped and pink sheets looked like yard sale. Breakfast was subpar, communication with staff was worthless since very little English was spoken. Will never book a Ramada Limited again.
"Ramada Limited San Francisco"
We got what we paid for. A budget hotel. Our daughter loved the waffles but other than your room there was nowhere to eat.
"lots of bags rolling down the stairs at 6 am"
Other than the fact people couldn't carry their bags down the stairs it was a pleasant stay. Good Thai place a couple doors down, and great location.
"Free parking only positive"
The only good thing to say is that we got free parking and found a space everyday. Otherwise, its noisy and dirty. We stayed at a cheaper place near the airport that was much better.
"Awesome for the price!"
'Limited' means 'limited', I expected this and was happy with what the Ramada Limited had to offer. Free breakfast, although small, was a bonus. Parking was limited but we lucked out and got a space on the first day. We didn't move the car all weekend. If you're from a city where you walk often, this will be very familiar. It was a perfect location […] to see the Wharf, Golden Gate Bridge, and Chinatown. Overall a great place to stay when you're only looking to sleep at the hotel. Also had a great flat screen tv and full cable! Bathroom recently redone, too. No fridge, but we managed with ice. Lisez la suite
"limited is a good name for this hotel"
First of all, this hotel is not in Fisherman's Wharf--it's a good 9 or 10 blocks walk from there. It's in the Marina district, and is not close to anything a tourist might want to do. The immediate neighborhood (Lombard St.)is a bit sketchy, (I was nervous walking past all the bars at night), with not one coffee shop on it, but a few blocks away in […] both directions there are loads of places to get a quick meal and coffee. The hotel was clean enough and very inexpensive for SF, but very noisy, with extremely thin walls, an echo-y courtyard outside all the rooms, and considerable traffic noise. The free breakfast was forgettable--styrofoam dishes, cheap bread and horrid coffee, and a waffle maker with gooey batter. It was set up in the tiny dirty front lobby of the hotel, with nowhere to sit. I stopped eating there after the first day. Lisez la suite
"Sort of ok."
We stayed here for 2 nights in early August this year. The hotel was ok but a couple of things let it down. Firstly it claims to have free parking but there are only 12 spaces for 50 rooms or so and the nearest other parking is on a roof 2 blocks away. We were lucky enough to get a space but we daren't use the car in case there was no space when we […] got back. That brings me to the location, it looks on the map to be near fishermans wharf and all that but in reallity it is a long walk up really steep hills or £9 in a taxi. It was ok but, for the money, you can find better and closer to the action. Lisez la suite
"Ramada Hotel 1940 Lombard st., San Francisco, CA"
The place was a dump. Linens were worn, as was the coverlet. Lombard St. is very, very busy, with traffic of all kinds at all hours. The stairway right off the street and open to the street with no security door. It would admit homeless or whatever vagrant that chose to enter. The entrance was via one flight of stairs. The effect of the open entrance […] was to funnel terrific traffic noise right up to the rooms, compounded by a large expanse of ceramic tile. A glass security door with card entry would have provided security and mitigated a lot of noise. We stayed Sunday night only and cancelled first thing Monday morning. The hotel wanted to charge us for two nights because of their cancellation policy. Hotels.com negotiated a one night charge and a refund of the rest of the bill. The hotel certainly did not fit my image of a Ramada. branded hotel. I intend to tell Ramada just that. The desk man was accomodating - no problem there. Lisez la suite
