Cet hotel est trés bien placé dans un quartier bien fréquenté.Le métro est à 10 mn a pied,ainsi que le tramway (pratique en cas de grève). En tramway,cela nous a pris 10 mn pour aller à Syntagma.Je redoutais,d'aprés les commentaires d'avoir du mal a trouver l'hotel,mais le taxi a trouvé tout de suite : apres l'église, prendre tout de suite à droite,puis on tombe sur la rue de l'hotel.Compter une heure et 35 euros en taxi de l'aéroport. J'y suis allée en Janvier donc l'hotel était loin d'etre complet et tout le personnel a été vraiment trés agréable.Ils m'ont donné toutes les indications dont j'avais besoin (magasin,métro,restaurants,appel du taxi) et m'ont laissé la chambre le jour du départ jusqu'a 14h. Je recommende!

Située sur la limite sud de Plaka, la promenade piétonne archéologique longe le pied de l'Acropole, coupant entre les pentes couvertes de pins de la colline de Philopappos et l'Odéon d'Hérode, qui date du IIe siècle mais accueille en été des spectacles en plein air. Nous avons passé un bon séjour, la vue est magnifique et l'on peut boire un verre sur la terrasse de l'hôtel, orientée vers l'acropole. Les chambres sont petites, certes, mais bien propres. Au pieds du Parthénon, jouxtant le Placa, à 5mn de la place Syntagma, cet hôtel est très très bien situé.( de plus station de métro Acropolis, et un arrêt du bus touristique dans la rue ). Hôtel correct. Les plus : terrasses ensoleillées avec vue sur le Parthénon au 4ème étage, agréable salon, restaurant pas mal avec jardin d'hiver, salle d'ordinateurs. Les […] moins : nous avons eu deux chambres donnant sur une mini-courette intérieure donc vue néantissime, et celle de mon amie avait une légère odeur de moisi (nous avons demandé à changer, mais l'hôtel était apparemment plein). Overall, the hotel is nice in terms of public spaces - the lobby and roof top are fantastic, thought the service on the roof is a bit slow - you can't beat the view. The Herodion Hotel was a pretty great hotel in an amazing location. The service was great and the people were very friendly. And it really is just steps away from the Parthenon and conveniently located near the tram to take you to the beach. The view on the roof top of the Parthenon is also amazing and great for relaxing with a drink. My only complaint […] is that you have to pay to have the jets run on the hot tub. I believe it was 5 euro for every 15 minutes and it just became annoying to put a time limit on that kind of relaxation. The hotel was very close to the Parthenon, the checking was friendly, however as soon as we got up to our floor smelled a bit unfresh. We had booked a room at a nearby hotel which stated that the room would have an Acropolis view. It did but only if you stood on the small balcony and turned completely left. When looking out the sliding door! you looked directly into an ugly building. So we moved to the Herodion the next day and stayed in a room that stated Acropolis view and it did! […] The room itself wasn't quite as nice as our first hotel, but the view was what it claimed to be. In addition, it had a rooftop deck for sunning with magnificent views and an outside hot tub area, which we didn't use as I believe there was a small fee. The room was very nicely kept, clean and attractive, but nothing special, then again the rate was quite reasonable. You can walk everywhere from this hotel and I would highly recommend it. The very best thing about the Herodion is its location. It's next door to the New Acropolis Museum, a short walk from the Acropolis entrance and a few minutes walk from all the main tourist areas. Lovely Hotel, situated right next to Acropolis Museum and the Acropolis. Great views from the hotel room and the Roof Terrace. The Metro is just 5 minutes around the corner and very handy for getting everyway especially Syntagma Square. Other public transport, buses and tram also very convenient from here, across from Temple of Zesus.This area has plenty […] of eating places for all price ranges and Plaka and Monastraki just a leisurely stroll away uphill about 10 mins away if you don't fancy the Metro. The Hotel has 2 jacuzzis one was in operation for this time of year - very enjoyable for unwinding after a day of seeing the sights of which there are plenty! The National Arcahaelogical Museum was just brilliant, it is 10 mins from Ominoia Square .Easy to get there by local Acropoli Metro.The breakfast in the hotel was excellent with plenty to start the day off with, many healthy options available especially loved the Greek yoghurt with honey and dried apricots. Great hotel for family especially interconnecting rooms offering plenty of space for a European hotel. Reception was very helpful and informative - we saved ourselves a small forturne by using the orange coach/bus number 5 getting to Cape Sounion just outside of Athens as advised by Front desk. It only cost 6 euros 30 one way for a very scenic bus ride ( 45 mins ) along the coast up to the Temple of Poseidon. We did have a small problem with the room type but that was fixed for us on the 2nd day. This hotel is located in a perfect location if you are visiting Athens for a few days. My wife and I travelled with my 3 year old boy for a 4 day trip to Athens after Christmas in December. We were very fortunate with the weather considering it was end of December. The hotel has a great front desk staff and are very helpful in providing all the details […] on where to go and what to do in Athens. They also gave us info on local events for kids. The rooms were kept clean and well serviced. The hotel's location is right next to the Acropolis with a 5 min walk to the main entrance. All other major areas such as Plaka (good for restaurantes) are within walking distance to the hotel. This came in real handy since we were travelling with a 3 year old. The restaurant at the hotel was also very good. Usually we don't prefer to eat at the hotel's restaurant. However, the restaurant in the lobby served really good food and was well priced. The price for our booking included breakfast which was very well organized and had a lot of choice of fruit, pastries, toast, juices, etc. For our stay we emailed the hotel ahead of time to request a triple room facing the acropolis and they did honour our request.
