Achilleas Hotel - Athens

L'hôtel est très moyen sans aucun charme mais le situation centrale compense en partie

I like that was placed in city center and close to all the must see sights. The staff were ok the breakfast was very good . For a short vacation is a good choice. The view from the room wasn't nice.

Highly recommended.

THE BREAKFAST IS VERY POOR. THE QUANTITY AND THE QUALITY OF FRUITS IS VERY VERY POOR....! NO VEGET. AT ALL. THE SERVICE IN THE BREAKFAST ROOM IS NOT SATISFIED.

It's the worst 3 star hotel I've ever seen, so much to complain. It looks like a family-run hotel, very stingy on everything. 1. Weak heater in winter, and the air conditioner was not usable unless we asked the room service to unlock it. 2. The valve of our shower was broken, the stream was very weak. My wife was forced to stop shower because of the […] weak stream. When the maid came (she looks like the mother of the family business), she told us it was normal to have such stream. 3. Some staffs (looks like a son in the family business) were impatient, and a bit rude in some way when we need to solve problems. Though some other staffs are good. 4. The hotel is strict on the no. of room guests. Though I booked a quadraple room, I had to pay 20 euros per nite for an extra bed as I have 3 adults and 2 kids. We felt we do not need the extra bed as the double bed was big and we are small size. The room is spacious with sufficient towels and toiletries. There is no drinking glass except one in the […] loo. Borrowed 2 from the reception but we had 5 persons. You can get hot water from reception as they had a kettle (but can't borrow it to your room). So we took disposable ones from Mcdonalds and brought our thermos flask and mini-boiler. The bathtub would have been good if it came with a shower curtain and hooks. But for 4 or 5 persons to share a bathroom, it is quite tough. Luckily, our room 102 had a loo just outside so we could use it if someone is in room loo. The hotel is on a small street with a small entrance but close to syntagma square and airport bus stop. Our room faces the street and there is a busy bar across but the noise is not that bad to bother us. The bar is good in a way as the street is dark and quiet with little human traffic at night. The young male receptionist is friendly and helpful when I asked him about restaurants on the brochure placed at hotel. There is a computer in the lobby for guests. We like the breakfast buffet. The hotel was very close to both the Plaka area and Syntagma Square, which was convenient and troublesome with the protests going on. The hotel was clean and simple. Bathroom was incredibly small with only a handheld sprayer for bathing. Internet access, while free, was spotty at best and available only in the hotel lobby. Breakfast was simple buffet […] but perfectly sufficient. Bars accross the street were loud but sound was muffled and bearable. Staff was very nice and helpful. We were supposed to stay at the Achilles Hotel but ended up at a sister hotel closer to the Acropolis. The hotel was called Acropolis Hill. It was brand new and located in a quiet neighborhood. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Our stay was very nice. They had a full breakfast which included scrambled eggs, sausage, cereals, yogurt, toast, cheese […] and salami. The rooms were modern and comfortable. Walking to the Acropolis took about 15-20 minutes. The Metro was close too. We would definitely stay here again! "Haris" at the front desk was most accomodating and we felt very welcomed! A good value for the Athens area! Lisez la suite

The location of the hotel is prime if you are looking to either go to bars or clubs, or if you are heading to the acropolis/parthenon. The hotel was clean and orderly, quick check in, and friendly staff. The breakfast wasn't anything to write home about but as an extra feature it came in handy.

The Achilleas is very centrally located, just a two minute walk from the Syndagma Square. The hotels is clean and the staff friendly and efficient. I requested a single room and was given a twin room, which was quite big. Free internet in the lobby. Breakfast was continental type with many options (e.g. eggs, cooked meats, breads, fruit, yogurt etc). […] The only issue I had with the hotel was when I tried to extend my stay by an extra day, they told me they were full and transferred me to a sister hotel (the Avion) (which was of a similar standard (3***), but was in a less attractive neighbourhood), which turned out to be a bit more expensive. However, when I checked on line later, I found the Achilleas was available for that night at the lower price. I would have preferred to say at the Achilleas rather than the Avion. Lisez la suite

Sehr freundlicher empfang, gutes morgenbuffet, sehr einfach, aber für einen städtetrip von mehreren tagen genau das richtige und es liegt sehr zentral

El hotel esta muy bien situado cerca de placa y también de la acropolis con muchas tiendas y restaurantes al derredor. Regresare la proxima vez

Bra hotel- veldig sentral beliggenhet. ca 15 min til fots til Akropolis. Familierom var veldig romslig.

När vi kom till Hotellet så var fullbokat och vi blev erbjudna ett annat hotell vilket låg i ruffiga kvarter. Det erbjudna alternativ Hotellet upplevdes också lite slitet. Ett stort minus på att man inte har kontroll på sin internetbokningssystem.

Hotel limpio y moderno, muy bien ubicado. Las habitaciones estan bien y el bufet de desayuno es correcto. Un buen sitio para estar un Atenas en relación calidad precio.

We had a family room 2 adults and 2 grown up children. Everything was perfect, including a good breakfast.

Great location close to the Metro, Plaka quarters and Acropolis. Stayed in a 4-bed room. Lots of space and good standard. Quiet on a small street. Very good value for the buck.
