"Close to trainstation"
Hookers just outside the door, not nice at all looking for every step you take
"Good bed and pillows"
Ok room but problem with heat and noise from the road. The bed was good but small old rooms. Ok breakfast. I'm disappointed about the 4 stars it got! Max 3 in my book
"Great service, fantastic location"
A few steps from the train station (best way to get into the city from the airport). Easy walking to many parts of town; good restaurants nearby. The staff was particularly friendly and helpful. Lovely hotel with plenty of amenities, free wi-fi, old charm with modern comfort. I'd definitely stay here again.
"Convenient Location"
Very close to the Central Station with restaurants nearby. Clean room and friendly staff who spoke good English.
Right next to central station.
"Too cheap"
You get what you pay for, but therewas a bad smell and dirty carpets in the room and the korridor, combined with substandard bathroom. Would recommend everyone to spend a couple of 100 kr ekstra, to get a more modern and a bit more pleasent stay.
"Excellent Chinese restaurant next door"
Tea restaurant
"Grand Hotel"
Not good, Dirty Room with broken tiles on bathroom and mold in grouts. We ordered non-smoking room with one bed, got smoking room with 2 beds. Staff not willing to help.
"Grand Hotel, Copenhagen"
Very conveniently located next to the train station. Nice ambiance. The rooms that I occupied was accessible through a flight of steps after traveling in elevator. Not for traveling with heavy bags.
"Weekend break"
Hotel is very close to the main train station which is handy and right next to Tivoli Gardens. However, this is definitely NOT a 4 star hotel. It's more like a 2 star budget hotel. Interior is old and dated and cramped. The neighbourhood had many prostitutes hanging around a few meters down the road. Make sure you head in the direction of town at night […] and not the other way (unless you want that kind of nightlife) Lisez la suite

"Grand Hotel Copenhagen"
Renovated older style hotel. Rooms unusual in shape as was the bathroom which was too small to move around in very well. I don't mind not having a bar fridge in the room, which I believe is standard, but it should say this facility not available on website or when checking in as a courtesy. Not having porters makes it difficult for ladies getting their […] luggage to their rooms. Great breakfast included in the tariff made for a good deal in price. Would stay again for a short stay. "Inexpensive for Copenhagen"
Really a good deal for Copenhagen, but you can't be too picky about the room. The location is 5 minutes from the Central Rail station allowing for train access directly from the airport (saves $75/couple!) It is 5 minutes walk from Tivoli Gardens and maybe 7 minutes to the main square, passing the Tour/Info office on the way. Fifty feet away from the […] front of the hotel is bus line #26 taking you to both cruise ship ports (again saving $75/couple) with a 9 minute walk to the ship. The room itself is really small and well worn . . . but clean. The bathroom is old but had a good shower and plenty of hot water. Although there are two elevators, access to most rooms winds around and up and down maybe involving a short flight of 2 or four stairs. The breakfast buffet was complete but not overdone. The hotel's Italian restaurant looked excellent and was quite full for dinner. It was a little too pricey for us. We opted for a good, casual pizza/pasta place about 100 feet to the right as you left the hotel. Down the street the other way was a multitude of restaurants from which to choose, but again seemed a little steep for our tastes. And, as it was raining most of the time, we didn't spend much time making exact DK to Dollar conversions. As others have said. This is a good, tourist class hotel . . . and older. It's the location you must consider. Also, in contrast to other reviewers, we found the desk staff very friendly and helpful. Lisez la suite
"Great location"
This hotel was in the heart of where things are happening. Very convenient to the train station. Down the street from Tivoli gardens. Got a great recommendation for dinner from the desk clerk. Nice breakfast buffet right in the hotel.
"Grand Hotel is grand on noise"
Although hotel is centrally located, it is very noisy. We arrived on Friday and stayed until Monday. Saturday and Sunday night were sleepless nights. People shouting and singing beneath our window until 5 am. Called the front desk to complained. Hotel clerk said there was nothing he could do but call the police...and the singing continued. On a positive […] note, breakfast was abundant and delicious and our room was very clean. Would only recommend this hotel to deep sleepers! Lisez la suite
"Convenient to sites"
This is not a four star hotel. I would rate it as a 3 star. The rooms were nothing exceptional; in fact very small barely enough room to get around our bed. Very little room for our luggage, but clean. It is close to the train station which was convenient from the airport. If breakfast was included in the price we paid, the price would have been acceptable. […] Otherwise, it is overpriced. Glad we were there for only one night. Copenhagen is a very expensive city. We were somewhat disappointed in it's lack of cleanliness. Expected the Danes to be more proud of their city. Will not return to this city again. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to walk to all the places we wanted to see. Lisez la suite
"Renovation long overdue"
The hotel is relatively cheap and in a convenient location. The breakfast is very good and there's free internet (slow but free). That's where the positive points end. The single room I stayed in was incredibly small. The shower rained red water, the bed was so soft, that I think someone had stolen the springs (if there were any). But it was cheap, […] convenient and there was a good breakfast. Lisez la suite

"Grand Hotell i Copenhagen"
Stayed one night at Grand.......shouldn´t call it Grand...but Good. The best with this hotel is the location, extremely central. The service was better than expected. The breakfast was OK. The hotwater tap didn´t work in the sink, used hotwater from the shower. Free internet...good speed.
"Very Nice Hotel!!"
I was very pleased with the Grand Hotel. The accommodations were much better than average. The staff was incredible; always helpful and willing to answer any questions I had about directions, places to visit, where the best places were to shop. Every person I encountered greeted me with a smile and never made me feel that I was high maintenance (which […] I probably was given the number if times I visited the front desk to ask questions or get advice on siteseeing.) The hotel is right on the edge of the red light district, but I always felt safe. The hotel is just a short walk to the main train station and Tivoli Gardens. Great shopping is also only about a 5 minute walk. Great hotel for the location and price. Lisez la suite
Top rating! Thank you. Thank you for visiting Grand Hotel Copenhagen. I'm pleased you found the staff professional and "incredible". That is what we aim for.

"This hotel deserves 1 *"
It is unbelievable that this hotel has a 4* review. The radiators hardly worked, the room was freezing, guy from the reception got me an electrical heater that worked very slowly but made a noise as if it is a jet engine. The most amazing thing was that at 10pm there were o hot water in the washing taps, and the water for the shower were very mild, […] not in a temprature to take a shower in a freezing room... In the morning, the water in the tap was hardly worm...by it came tipping slowly, and then...stopped...i had to wash the shower for shaving...and it was not so hot either... The corridors to the room are long and confusing...if you have a lot of laugage, you will find it a very unpleasant experience. Very low quality hotel .... i am extremely dissapointed that it is on hotels.com lists...i did so many nights throught hotels.com and this one is the worst hotel. Lisez la suite
"Not at all Grand Hotel in Copenhagen"
How this hotel can have four stars is beyond me. I was greeted by front desk staff in fleece jackets in an overall worn down reception. The hotel did not look to have been renovated for at least 30 years. To the room then; So small I could barely fit my suitcase. That I can live with, but a shower curtain at a hotel? Disgusting. The lowest point […] of my stay was when I called down to reception and asked to have an iron and an iron board brought to my room and was told 'You can come and get it yourself sir'. Lovely attitude. 'We do not have that service at this hour'. It was 18.45. The restaurant was fine and the breakfast was good as was the location. There are, however, loads of hotels down the same road. Had this been a two star hotel I could have accepted it all, but not at a four star. I was thrilled to walk out the door in the morning and I will not return. Lisez la suite
"Close to everything!! Highly recommended!"
The personnel of the hotel was very hospitable and attentive!! The room was very cleaned and cozy!
"Next to Copenhagen train station"
The location and price were the best things about this hotel. On the negative side: the room was very small; the furnishings were ugly, the bed not ultra-comfortable,the walls were thin, and the shower floor was not separated from the rest of the tiny bathroom. On the plus side, the price was good, it was very close to the main train station and a number […] of key points of the city, thus easy to get to and from, the staff was very helpful, the breakfast was very good, I was so tired from touristing that I had no trouble sleeping. Fussy sleepers or those who want a very comfortable or nicely furnished hotel would probably not like this hotel; however, I would stay here again. Lisez la suite

"Older hotel with small rooms, but a good value"
The hotel staff was efficient and friendly. The staff was also able to check us in prior to the check in time. The breakfast buffet (included in our room rate) was great and the rate charged for the room was a great value for this location in Copenhagen. The only negatives I would give is that this is a very old hotel and the rooms are very small and […] the rooms differ in size, appearance, and amenities, but they are clean, and okay for just an overnight stay. Our room was completely different from our friend's room. Also, we were given a room on a floor that changes levels, so even though we had an elevator to our floor, we also had steps to get down to our room on that floor, which was a problem with the amount of luggage we had. I would consider staying here again if I could choose which room and floor that I wanted and could not find a better hotel for the price charged and if I didn't plan to stay here more than a night or two. Otherwise, I would choose a different hotel. Lisez la suite

"Nice place, but wish they had air conditioning!"
This would have been a great place to stay if it hadn't been one of the five hottest days of the year in Copenahgen. Unfortunately there was no a/c, which forced us to leave windows open and thus hear the street noise all night long. Staff was kind enough to provide a small fan, which helped marginally. By Europe standards, the room was large and comfortable, […] particularly the bathroom. Location near the train station and Tivoli Gardens is very convenient, although noisy if you are required to keep the windows open. The breakfast buffet (included in the price) was fantastic, the best I've ever seen in Europe; it included meat and eggs and went far beyond the usual continental breakfast. We stayed one night post-cruise and easily caught the train to the airport the next morning. Lisez la suite

"Great place!"
Very nice people, great location right near the train station. The rooms are on the small side, but are good value in this pricey city. The building is older, but the bathrooms have been redone. The staff was very helpful: they let us check in early, loaned us umbrellas, and let us park our bikes in the inner courtyard.

"Outstanding Hotel"
Location and quality
"Not Grand, just Good"
In Europe you expect "Grand Hotels" to be the pride and joy of the city, but in this case it was just good, not grand. Location was very convenient, literally less than 5 min. walk to the Central Rail Station and about 5-7 min. walk to the start of the central walking areas of Copenhagen. Rooms were very basic.
"needs improvement"
hard to find room, no free breakfast

"Perfectly adequate, but a bit expensive for what you get"
Copenhagen is expensive, but there are hotel bargains to be had if you plan ahead. I got a decent deal on this room, and for what I got I felt it was more than fair, although the week I arrived the same hotel company had just opened a new property with ultra-modern conveniences for less than what I was paying. Still, the rooms are clean, well-appointed […] and comfortable, though because it's an older building and this is far north, don't expect air conditioning. My room was on a low floor, so although I could open the windows, the air wasn't very clean because of the traffic on the street below (not to mention the noise). But I was rarely in the room other than to sleep, so it was ultimately fine. The staff are extremely courteous and helpful, as well, and you can't beat the location. Lisez la suite
