TRES BONNES IMPRESSIONS A RECOMMANDER !!
"Imperial Hotel - Copenhagen"
Overall, the hotel is gorgeous. Being my first time in Copenhagen, it was situated perfectly to Tivoli and Stroget. My only complaint about the hotel would be the overly soft beds. Every time I turned over in my sleep, I thought I was going to fall off the bed because the mattress would sink so low. I would hope that the management staff invest in some […] new beds to perfect an otherwise very good hotel. Lisez la suite
"Typical Danish Hotel"
The hotel is nice with beautiful interior and great location. The service is good for Danish standards (low standards) and the rooms are OK (again compared to other small danish hotel rooms). All in all an OK hotel.
"Imperial hotel in Copenhagen"
The hotel was very conveniently located, 2 minute walk from the central train station, 2 minutes to Tivoli gardens(beautiful winter wonderland), 2 minutes to the town square(Hans Christian Andersen statue), and 2 minutes from stoget street. The room was spacious, clean and had everything you needed. The staff was gracious and kind and helpful. I woud […] definitely stay there again, and would recommend it to anyone going to Copenhagen. "Excellent location"
My baggage was delayed which is totally not a good thing but the hotel staffs were very attentive and contacted the airline. They ensured that it was time stamped when the bag was duly delivered for my insurance claims purpose. I arrived very early at 7 am but was given a room straight away while I was asked what assistance need since my bag was delayed. Location […] is perfect, supermarket next door, everything you need is 5 mins away. Only suggestion is that hopefully the breakfast could be better. Lisez la suite
"Near the main attactions and transportations"
Stayed 2 nights in mid- Nov. Pops: Room was clean; staff was nice and helpful. Just cross the street for city transit and 10 minutes walk to the central station and the city town hall; Nice big flat screen TV. Corns: Small size room for two but expected as the EQ standard; bed is too soft; strange thing is the shower place only has a half of the door […] so the water splashed all over the place when taking shower. A fine 3 star hotel. Lisez la suite
Very attentive staff who cannot do enough for you. Food in Brasserie was excellent - only complaint was that it was very slow to appear
"Imperial Hotel - a good place if you aren't hungry"
Most aspects of the Imperial are great - the location is perfect (2 blocks from the train station, & near the main square). The staff was particularly helpful, and there was no problem with the room. The big negative was the lack of a hotel restaurant (the bistro bar was really inadequate). The 150 DK breakfast was overpriced, even by Copenhagen standards. […] But fortunately, there are plenty of good places nearby. Lisez la suite

1. Waited 45min for roomservice dinner, was told there was a 20min waiting time. 2. Had a room towards the parking good, however I was woken up by some noice from 1st floor @7 in the mornings, 2 days.. 3. Changed room and had a more noicy room towards the side street, noicy from road & traintrack.. 4. No sauna, pool or jacuzzi offered.. There is a […] nice & cosy fireplace.. Lisez la suite

"Very nice and quiet stay"
I've stayed in this hotel a few times, it's great value and extremely nice. Comfortable beds, nice bar, everything you want to just chill and relax while being on a leisure or business trip. Five star quality and feeling without five star arrogance.

"Nice hotel in the heart of Copenhagen"
I say "nice" because the Imperial was not the greatest place I had stayed but definately liveable and with comfortable beds. Was a little disapointed that my room did not include a bathtub but otherwise the room itself and bathroom were comfortable if a little on the small side. The Hotel staff were neither friendly, or unfriendly and the lifts were […] very small - only really enough room for 2 people and luggage which meant a long wait for an empty lift during rush hour. I stayed there for 10 nights and felt rather like a number than a valued customer. Saying all this - the hotel was well run and well kept, central to everything and nice and quiet with good air-condtioning in my room. Breakfast was rather expensive and so I would suggest heading out to a local bakery or cafe for a cheaper meal. Lisez la suite
"Imperial Hotel - can recommend"
Hotel is clean, staff efficient and helpful. Got a great room on topfloor and good night sleep! Breakast is expensive if it is not included in booking - try a coffee shop around the corner.

"Copenhagen Imperial Hotel - great value!"
A great hotel, only a 5-minute walk from the Main Train Station and across the street from the metro. Friendly staff, very clean room, bikes available for rent. We did have a superior twin (not standard), so there was plenty of room for 2 people with lots of luggage. I would definitely stay here again!

"Imperial Hotel: great location, great room and A/C"
We spent 5 nights at the Imperial and enjoyed the spacious size of the immaculate room and bathroom, the terrific location—close to sights and a plethora of interesting ethnic restaurants—and excellent service at the desk and bar. Mornings the lobby looks like an airport lounge—a lot of airline personnel stay here. Skip the overpriced restaurant breakfast […] and get yogurt, pastry and coffee from one of nearby coffee shops and fruit from the stall across the street to eat en suite. We'd definitely stay here again. Lisez la suite
"Imperial Hotel in Copenhagen"
Very convenient location. Staff was very accomodating and helpful for arrangement of tours and providing information. Very clean. Complimentary breakfast was good.
"Imperial Hotel hits home run"
This hotel is good value for your money. The hotel is well situated in downtown, close to shopping, sites and the harbour. Breakfast was excellent quality and quantity. The public areas are not high end but nicely decorated as are the rooms. I would recommend this hotel to friends and stay there again.
I arrived several hours early for check-in, due to an early flight and was found a room straight away, so things got off to a good start. The room itself was a little smaller than I had expected, but perfectly adequate... although this was my first room in the hotel. The TV in my room failed to come to life, so on my way out sightseeing for the day […] I told reception. On my return I found a note on the table saying that they could not resolve the issue, and to contact them again if I wished to move room - which i did. The member of staff was very helpful and even upgraded me from a Superior single to a double, which was much more spacious. I later read a note in the lift which said that the TV systems were being upgraded and there may be issues with service as a result. Location-wise, it's a short walk to the central railway station and not far from Tivoli. It's a little further away from the main shopping and restaurant area than I expected, but not by much. Easily walkable to the townhall end of the "stripe" in 5-10 minutes. It's also very handy for the major car rental offices, two of which are almost literally on the doorstep. I was a concerned later about the location after I'd ventured out to a few bars late in the evening and on my way back was approached by a few 'undesirable' types nearer to the hotel. I think this may have been because I was a man on my own, but I didn't feel that comfortable or safe. That said, Copenhagen is quite a small city and most hotels seem to be in the same kind of area. It does seem a bit odd to have the hotel above shops, but this was never an inconvenience (except I kept walking past the hotel entrance as it's set back). Overall, it is a nice, well run hotel with comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Lisez la suite
"Imperial Hotel - Great Hotel, Great Location"
This hotel is close to the central station (easy walking distance) and located in the center of town so everything is close by. Our room was very nice, with modern decor and had everything you could need - coffee maker, hair dryer and amenities in the bathroom, even windows that open to let in fresh air. I would definitely stay here again and recommend […] this hotel to anyone going to Copenhagen. Lisez la suite
"excellant hotel"
Great location near Tivoli and the train station. Great breakfast included.
"glad we chose this hotel!!!"
super staff, terrific location and we could see that all rooms had been refurbished! one of the best breakfast buffets we have been to and do suggest that when you make a reservation, get a room with breakfast, it works out to be more economic. Finally, internet and printers are available in the business office for free!!!!!!!
"Imperial Hotel - Copenhagen"
Hotel has 2 wings, old and new. First time we stayed in the new wing and were very satisfied. Next trip, we were given a room in the old wing - everything was same as the new wing except it had a bath tub instead of shower stall. The only thing that separated the shower in the tub and the outside was a 2 ft wide piece of glass. Everybody complained […] that the glass partition was too narrow with gaps all around and water would leak out and flood the bathroom floor everytime you used the shower. The hotel is great otherwise. Lisez la suite

"Comfortable accomodation at reasonable price"
The Imperial Hotel in Copenhagen is centrally located and offers very comfortable accomodation at reasonable prices. Staff is courteous and service is excellent. Our group had a delightful stay without any major complaints. However, air conditioning in some rooms was not working properly and water would run out of the bathtub if you take shower standing […] up. Also, elevators are too small to carry large amount of luggage up to your room. Lisez la suite
"Imperial Hotel - Tivoli is a must-see"
We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel does look more like a modern glass and steel building but inside they tried to give it an "imperial look" (see grand piano in the reception hall). Room was nice and clean, though the internet in the room did not work as they were doing some upgrades and in some rooms it was not yet functional. Tivoli is only 5 min […] walk and, if you have children or are a big kid at heart, you must go and try the rides or just take a stroll through the perfectly maintained gardens. It might seem a bit pricey (everything is in Copenhagen) but it's worth it. Lisez la suite
"Spacious and Modern Rooms"
Our hotel room was very clean and spacious. The staff in this Copenhagen hotel was very accomodating. My only complaint was that the air-conditioning was not up to par. When the room didn't get cold, we were immediately changed to an even better room. There are free computers available for the guests to use.
Excellent location. Famous walking street only five blocks away. Main train station three blocks. Plenty of restaurants and drinking establishments within blocks. Bikes rule in Copenhagen so be prepared to see almost every type and model bike made. It's a way of life if you are eight or eighty. Forget bottled water as the tap water in Denmark is better […] than any bottled water I have tried. Bring your own liter or quart water bottle and just refill wherever you are. If you plan on renting a car then a GPS is a must. We drove for a week and the GPS (we named her Phillis) took us right to the door of friends living in cities and farm country all over the islands. Even showed us the ferry we would be taking as part of the drive. Her ETA was spot on. Even though it is cheaper to rent a manual transmission car I highly recommend paying the extra and getting an automatic. When you are in a foreign country and are unsure of the directions, and you are watching for the bike traffic you don't need the distraction of shifting gears. loved the vacation and will return to Denmark next year. "Imperial Hotel, Copenhagen Denmark"
Very centrally located hotel
"Imperial Hotel , Copenhagen"
Reasonable hotel in fairly central location. Functional and comfortable but not much character.
"Imperial Hotel Copenhagen"
Very centrally located with excellent staff and modern rooms. Couldn't have been better for me.
"Location"
Very nice location. Central Station, beware of the over priced buffet breakfast.
"Imperial Hotel in Copenhagen - central location"
The first room we had was leaking water from the ceiling onto the floor due to the AC. They put us in a 2nd room which was a smoking room that smelled from tobacco and a TV that didn't work. 3rd room was fine. Breakfast buffet was excellent!

"Scandanavian Style"
If you like Scandinavian design, you will like this hotel. I booked an executive room which had two very comfortable twin beds, a desk and sitting area all with big windows looking out to my terrace. The terrace was a huge bonus and I hosted my travel partners for drinks on it every evening. The furniture looks a bit worn but that is because it is real […] wood and most people do not seem to know/care that you do not set wet things on real wood furniture. Our floor was named after a Danish designer and I believe all of the pieces on our floor were designed by him. The bath was very modern with glass walls (don't worry, you cannot see through them) and a separate shower room on the other side of the dressing area. The hotel and the neighborhood were quiet as well. Blackout drapes worked like a charm which is key this time of year; it never gets completely dark at night. A few minor irritations - a line for the elevator when a large group arrived and air conditioning that could never really compete with the window wall and the unusually hot weather we had (although my friends' room was an ice box). The hotel is very close to the Central Train station and two block from Tivoli and City Hall. It is quite simple to take the train to the airport from here. Taxis are always available as well if you prefer to go that route. Nyhaven and the better shopping is about a 10 - 20 minute walk. There is a grocery store and 7-11 across the street. Like everyone in Denmark, the staff speaks excellent English and the service is good. All in all, I would return to this hotel unless I wanted to stay up in the Nyhaven area. Lisez la suite
"very good hotel"
enjoyable stay in a clean comfortable room, would most certainly stay here again, one minor complaint was cost of drinks in the bar
"very good location & room, not too bad price"
dont be put off by the outside, the hotel looks very nice inside! the location is perfect, within walking distance of the town centre and very close to central station with a metro station right outside. the room was clean and comfortable except the bed - i think our room called "small double", the small refers to the size to the of bed rather than […] the room! the bed was tiny and the sheets even more so, good luck trying to both be under the sheets at the same time if you are a couple :) Lisez la suite

"Central"
Very central, safe. I believe a few airline crew stay here. Helpful staff, modern bathrooms. One of my group stayed on the sixth floor and found it noisy due air conditioning, an upgrade was given. Rooms fine for a short stay but some road noise on the lower floors. Breakfast not included and very expensive, find a local bakery!
"Imperial Hotel-Copenhagen - classy public areas"
First, let my give the positives: This hotel has a beautiful lobby and all other public areas. The staff was pleasant and helpful providing first class service. The hotel is about 3 blocks from the Tivoli main gate and four blocks from the Central Train-Bus Station. The neighborhood has nice stores and restuarants. Now the negatives: We bought a superior […] room on the sixth floor. The room furnishings are not quite what the photos suggest. Our furniture was well worn. We had a south facing room which may have reduced room noise but much of the south wall is glass. The full-day sun in June heated the room far more than the A-C could handle. It took until 9 or 10 at night to cool it down to semi-comfortable even with the drapes closed all day. Overall: we would stay their again but would be more selective about our room. Lisez la suite
"In the heart of the city"
Location is great walking distance to restaurants & shops. Room small but clean and nice.
"Great Hotel"
My wife and I were really pleased with our choice of the Imperial. It was a great place to spend our week in Copenhagen. Close to shoping, sightseeing, resturants and the Hotel personnell made us feel welcome. We would stay there again.
"Wonderful Hotel!"
This is a wonderful hotel! It's located within a busy part of the city center. There is a train station right across the street, right outside of the entrance to the hotel. There are 3 markets within 2 blocks of this hotel! It is also within walking distance of the major shopping districts. The hotel staff was fabulous and the rooms were spacious for […] European hotel rooms- plus very nicely decorated! Great hotel! Lisez la suite
