"Great Location - Front desk and manager not so nic"
The location is super just a few minutes walking distance from San Marco Square. The bar tender is great and full of great tips. The room was right by the elevator LOUD as the window faces the street and the vendors start working at 5 am. The bed was to be a queen/full it was 2 twins (small twins) pushed together and honestly was so hard we think after […] looking at it that is the box spring matress! We asked the front desk clerk for 2 keys as were seperate ways for the day and needed to charge the camera batteries and our iPad. He refused and YELLED at us, then he asked his manager who again refused and continued to YELL at us - not a nice experience at all. The breakfast is a 1 on a scale of 1 to 5 the only good part is the coffee and juice, the bread is stale, the meats and cheese were dried out and they recyle table after table the croissants and rolls that the prior table doesn't eat. Plus you are greated by a very strict hostess who allows you to sit only where you are told. All of the tables are 2 tops and you are rushed in and out of there. The front desk men were the rudest most arrogant people we encountered in more than 22 days throughout Europe. Lisez la suite
"Nice Hotel"
This hotel is located in the PERFECT location, just a 3 minute walk from St. Marks Basilica, the Doges Palace, and the Bridge of Size. Addtitionally, if you are visiting Venice to shop, this is a prime location. The hotel was nice and clean enough, however the bed was very uncomfortable and it was a bit of a maze. The staff were also very helpful and […] encouraged us to try a couple different restaurants. I would definitely stay again. Lisez la suite
I booked 2 twin beds and gave me a room with a bed and extra bed (very small bunk bed) and there were mosquitos. I requested for a bug spray and they said they don't have one. It was advertised that wifi is free but it was not working.

"Good location"
Just stayed 1 night, very convenient to San Marco Square & shuttles. Staff very accomodative, free wi-fi very useful.
"Fantastic location, not such a good room"
PROS: The hotel is literally a 3-minute walk from San Marco square, and there are dozens of restaurants nearby, although the quality of the food/service left a lot to be desired in the ones we tried. The shower in the room was really powerful and hot. The free breakfast was really good. No fried/cooked breakfast option, but I was quite glad not to […] have the temptation. Every table got croissants and bread rolls, and the counter had a couple of basic cereal options, plus kiwi fruit, apples, orange juice, plain yogurt, tea/coffee etc CONS: The hotel has free wi-fi but the service was sporadic at best - I tried it with an iPod and a Blackberry but maintaining a working connection for any length of time proved almost impossible. Our room was TINY. The space between the doubled bed and the three walls was only enough for a single person to fit through. We also got eaten alive by mosquitoes in our room - I never imagined that would be a big problem in Venice in early-March, but it was awful. Overall, it was just ok. The price certainly made it one of the cheaper options so I guess you get what you pay for to an extent. Lisez la suite
"panada"
very good location. nice staff. cheap and ok room. the lobby smelled not so good from old water. there was a safe in the room and internett in the lobby.
Absolutely fantastic location for San Marco, literary a minute's walk. Located in medieval narrow trading street, interior design cosy, with Venetian-styled accessories. I had a single room, which was tiny, and the bathroom was a little bit dated. However, it was a really good value for money, especially given the central location. Breakfast was ok, […] selection of cold cuts, cheese, cereal, fruit and yourgurt. Staff were nice and friendly. I did have some mosquitos in my room, which was surprising for a January (perhaps, same problem across the whole city), so I recommend taking a spray or something. Overall, deserved 3 stars for accomodation and 5 stars for the location. Lisez la suite
"Good location"
This hotel is a funny maze... It is well located. People are nice. I had to pay local taxes in addition to the price I paid on hotels.com
"Excellent Location"
We were given a room at Best Windows, a guest house under the same company. The room was spacious and was right next to St Mark's Square! Yet there was no lift, which meant we had to carry our bags downstairs when we checked out.
"At Doorstep of San Marco Square"
About a stones throw removed from the great St. Mark's Cathedral. Tiny entrance we almost missed. Many convoluted stairways. We stayed on the second floor as my husband does steps poorly. He did OK here. Room was ornate - seemed of another century - beautiful in an antique way. When leaving for water bus, staff secured a luggage man to cart our bags […] to water landing. Too long & too tough for us on cobblestones- 30 euros. Lisez la suite

"close to everything, but had bed bugs"
The hotel staff were OK but not super pleasant. The hotel is located literally in the heart of the tourist-area of Venice, which is both nice and also a bit of a pain because it means you have a pretty far walk if you want to eat anywhere that isn't overpriced and tourist-centric. Our room had bed bugs. I suppose it would be difficult to find a hotel […] in Venice without bed bugs, given how old everything is and how close together, but it's not so pleasant to find one crawling on your bed in the middle of the day. (Talk about not afraid of anything! Aren't bed bugs supposed to hide when people are moving?) It took about 5 minutes to walk to our room from the entrance. I think it added character, but for some people having to walk up 2.5 flights of stairs, around a corner, down a ramp, up a ramp, down another flight, through a security door, around a corner, through another door (labeled with a different hotel name), then up 2 more flights of steps might be either confusing or difficult, so keep that in mind. "Not bad. But pretty cheap price"
You get what you pay for. If you want a centrally located room by major attractions and want it cheap, this is the hotel for you. If you are looking for a classic ornately designed hotel with lots of venetian character, you better go somewhere else. Expect to pay 2 to 3 times more.

hotel staff were very nice. hotel room was small, but very comfortable. location was awesome. however... the bathroom was not okay. mold covered the shower head and water dripped from the ceiling. don't think this is an issue in all the rooms - we could have changed room if we had enough time but our visit was too short.
"Antico Panda"
The hotel was very close to St Marks Square so much close at hand within a short distance. The area was quite in the evenings and in the morning. We stayed in an excellent apartment just a short distance from the hotel.
"Antico Panada - Venice"
This hotel is located in what was a 17th century villa/mansion. its just a few seconds from san marco square, and the eating and drinking venues in this old venice district. The staff were pleasent and cordial with any request, the evening staff were particulalry helpfull and it was a welcome comfort after a day exploring the islands, etc. To keep a […] huge hotel full of patrons in this busy/competative city is a feat in itself. the morning breakfast shift were expert at their jobs and welcoming. suggestions for activities, places to eat, or explore for the novice visitor made the stay a better experience. Also keeping a hotel to good modern standards in the shell of an ancient building would be a difficult task, the few spots of mould in the bathroom/ensuite were nothing when considering the whole place is just a few metres if that above sea level. "Only stay if you don't want anything"
The hotel is very well located, seconds from Piazza St. Marco, however Our room wasn't ready by 3pm. We agreed to a different type of room only to find out it wasn't part of the hotel, but a room in an apartment. There was no internet there as promised in the deal. In the morning, when i complained, I was told that they would fix it for next time. They […] were rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. I was travelling by myself with 2 kids and found their lack of help and consideration a huge turn-off. Never again for me. Lisez la suite
"Exceptional Location, Staff not so much.!!"
We stayed at this hotel for only one night last month in August on our way to other destinations. Location of this hotel is exceptional, you have everything within walking distance, Piazza San Marco, water taxis, restaurants, shops, canals, and everything you want to see and do in Venice is within walking distance. The front desk staff could be a little […] friendlier and helpful. We asked them for directions several times and seemed bothered, there were other people asking for assistance and received the same treatment. Rooms, are small and antiquated, but we were only staying there for only one night and did not really care. I would only stay at this hotel again for only one night again, and only for its location. "Location great - mildew not so much"
This property is literally a few steps from the square. The location is fantastic. Mildew on the bathroom ceiling and a lot of noise from the lobby into our room knocked down our impression a bit.
"Views of Basilica!?"
We had rooms 500 & 501 - a bit of a challenge to get through the maze of hotel corridors, stairs & the world's slowest lift - but worth it for the view across the rooftops of the Basilica domes and statues. Rooms surprisingly spacious and fit out with modern amenities. Perfect location. Only negative was that the wifi did not work.
"Disgusting"
Pealing wallpaper, rude service, black mold in the shower, agonizing concern that I was going to need a shot of broad spectrum antibiotic to recover... but other than that... it was fine.
Friendly staff, comfortable room though I had to leave crumbs along the maze to always get to my room- it was fun to go up, down, around and over. Great location for San Marco Square and all the action. Watch out for the restaurants nearby at the corner- they are overpriced and poor quality. Clean and would stay there again. Good breakfast.
Bad, not recommended, also with heavy luggage big problems, as rooms are difficult to reach with bags

"Great Location-Great Rooms"
We stayed in Rooms #603 and #604 and they were great. You felt like you were living in old Venice with all the modern conveniences. Would definitely stay there again. Every room is unique.
"Good location"
Room to small, not very clean
"Near the Square"
Location-wise, Antico Panada cannot be beat. It is right there where everything takes place in Venice, and is just a short walk to the Rialto Bridge. Yes, I would stay there again. But I must tell the first time visitor that one day it took me thirty minutes to find my room. That is due to the layout of the hotel. However, once I took notice of the […] pictures on the walls, I used them as a guide and I got my time down to three minutes, lobby to room, room to lobby. It is a very interesting hotel. Always remember to take some mosquito spray when you visit Venice. Most hotels do not have air-conditioning, and the windows must stay open most of the time. Breakfast was ample, and the entire staff warm and friendly. Enjoy! Lisez la suite
"Antico Panada - good location, mouldy rooms"
The staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. The hotel itself was quite nice and nicely furnished. The lobby had a very pungent, offputting smell to it but luckily the actual hotel room did not. The room itself was small, as expected, and decorated nicely. It was only later we discovered mould growing on the bathroom ceiling and heard another patron […] complaining to the front desk that there was a lot of mould growing in their room as well. There was construction taking place while we were there and we were woken up every weekday morning around 9am by the sounds of loud hammering. The breakfast consisted of stale bread, sliced cheese, 3 types of sliced meat, 2 types of cereal, orange juice and yogurt. There were no coffee or tea making facilities. The server brought the coffee/tea over to the table. The coffee was almost undrinkable. Tea was fine. Overall, it was a mediocre stay and we were glad to have not been in the hotel very much. Though the staff were very friendly, we found the smell, mould and subpar breakfast not worth the cost of the room. We visited in late January so perhaps they make a better impression in peak season. Who knows. Lisez la suite
"Hotel Antico Panada - Venice, Italy"
We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night stay at this nice hotel. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and in a great location right in the Saint Marco area of Venice. Lots of shopping, restaurants, and historic landmarks were within walking distance.
"Awful, awful smell at Antico Panada"
If you can make it past the lobby, the rooms will most likely be bareable. But the awful odor in the lobby area and furniture was difficult for us to ignore during our visit. If our rooms were refundable, we most definitely would have opted to stay at another hotel. Small but fairly clean rooms (few dust spots here and there), decent breakfast, and […] superb location. You could find something better a few steps farther away from San Marco for the same price. Lisez la suite
"Hotel Antico Panada location spot on"
Location, location we truly couldn’t fault the hotel for this. Hotel rustic and a little dated but clean and friendly staff. Breakfast was simple and all you could eat so spot on and lovely ladies with fab milky coffee. Everything is Venice is rustic, vintage and amazing; we walked everywhere from our hotel and came back to a comfy bed and we had a […] huge room next to lift!!! Tips: get a return ticket on boat from airport, to find hotel get off at St. Marks square walk straight ahead church on right, turn right keeping church on right second left next to glass shop, keep walking you get to a street with restaurants on, too your left and right (good restaurants) keep walking straight ahead hotel 2mins walk on left (Panada). (Try the Italian Spritza it spot on from the coffee stall just along restaurant road). Venice is amazing and a great budget hotel with an amazing location. You just have to be brave and walk down every street you can find and you will eventually find your way. Best map for us was a little pop-up pocket map we bought in Venice. Ok we didn't have a canal view but we only slept in our room and were walking by 9.30am. Lisez la suite

"Excellent Hotel"
I first stayed here in 2002 and the staff was really wonderful back then; even helping me learn a bit of Italian. I am happy to say that this hasn't changed. The place has had a bit of a facelift, which it needed, and the room is comfortable, clean and safe. The location is amazing and everything about this hotel, from price to staff to comfort makes […] this a place I hope to continue to visit when I am in Venice. Lisez la suite
"Decent Hotel, Excellent Location"
We arrived early, but they were able to hold our bags for us so that we could explore the city in the morning. The service was excellent once our rooms were ready, with a porter showing us to our rooms, checking that the key cards worked and then getting our bags into our rooms for us. The rooms had nice large beds in them and were nicely decorated […] with local glass. The bathroom was decent in size and had jacuzzi tub, although I never use those things in hotels. The room and its furnishings were by no means new, but this did not trouble me since things seemed to be clean, if a bit worn. The location was great. San Marco was just a couple of blocks away and is one of the main water bus terminals from which you can travel to Murano and see all of the glass making activities. It is also an easy walk to the Rialto bridge as well and the water taxi to take us to the airport was able to pick us up at a canal less than two blocks away. Of the three hotels I stayed at in Italy, this ones breakfast was the most spartan. Offerings were toat, yogurt and croissant. All and all the stay was good and I would have no problem staying here again. Lisez la suite
"Worth the Stay"
Very decent hotel within walking distance to Piazza San Marco. Great stay and would recommend it to others. Great view from room. Lots of great restaurants and shops close by. Streets are crowded so beware.
"Great Location!"
Awesome location, close to everything!
"Nice and comfy"
The hotel is located in a very convenient area close to St. Mark's Square. It is elegant and comfy. The morning personnel was friendly and very helpful. The lady in the afternoon was not very approachable. Overall the service was good
"Great Hotel - Perfect Location"
Definitely recommend this hotel. Ask for rooms 603 or 604!

Excellen location very close to the St Marc' Square. Very good value for money considering this location. Decent buffet breakfast and friendly staff; would definitely recommend.
"Hotel Antica Panada - a great value close to all"
Great location right off St. Mark's Square. Easy walk to Rialto Bridge, Accademia, and the Guggenheim. Close to shopping and evening entertainment. Friendly, helpful hotel staff. Nice breakfast spread, but the coffee is terrible.
