NH Excelsior - Sienne

Everything about our stay was perfect, room was stylish and very comfortable and the breakfast kept us going all day.

Very happy with this hotel, excellent location

It has a great location but we felt that we were treated less than others for booking through Hotel.com. Our rooms were below the lobby and when we asked for a different room we were very abruptly told now these were the rooms at the rate we paid.

The NH Excelsior is ideally placed just at the outskirts of the town of Siena. The bus station is right outside and on Wednesdays there is a market adjacent to the Hotel, but neither have a negative impact on the stay. Approximately 150 metres from the Hotel is the Via Camollia and once you enter you are transported into the cobbled streets of Siena, […] which is the true star of the show. The Hotel itself is modern in appearance. It was clean and tidy, with the rooms as you would expect of a 3 star, i.e. a decent size but fairly basic. Take note, a 'double' bed may be considered to be two single beds joined together - please ensure you are specific if you want a true 'double' bed. The staff were pleasant and helpful throughout the stay and I would recommend the hotel for the location, and as long as you are not looking for a centuries old Tuscan retreat it should suit most purposes. Nice hotel - clean room. For a 4 star hotel we were surprised that the room wasn't a little bigger. Also, no consierge service in lobby. Great breakfast!! no parking included.

Modern hotel in an old walled city, if that's what you want, it's the hotel for you. If you want the hotel to match the charm of the city, then you might not want to stay there. New, Clean, and large rooms. Great location to all the siena sights and the bus station to go to florence or san gimignano is right in front of the hotel and the train station is very close as well. The front desk staff was not as helpful or as friendly as the ones at the other hotels we stayed at in other italian cities - they were very helpful with […] booking tours, but not helpful with arranging transportation. Beautfiul hotel right in the heart of Sienna - so modern and clean. Excellent!

This was a beautiful hotel for our stay in Siena. For American travelers, it will be what you are used to for say a room at a Hilton, although a bit smaller. There are drawbacks however: no parking to speak of. There is a pay lot (no discount) about two blocks from the hotel (between the fortress and stadium). There is a FREE lot at the back of the […] fortress, about a four block walk. When I asked about parking, we were given a map with the two options, but weren't told one was free and one was paid. A real headache. The bar service is terrible. Don't bother-bad selection, bad service. We would stay her again if in Siena now that we know about parking and can make a point of avoiding the bar. The hotel is in the historical centre. There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby and less than 15 minutes walk you will be in Il Campo. Excellent breakfast and very stylish and clean room. However the rooms not facing the street are facing a football stadium. You should also check with the receptionist when the match is playing. If you are not worried about the noise, definitely, it is a perfect hotel with excellent rate. Staying in this hotel also save you some money in parking. If you stay inside the old centre (inside the wall), you will not be able to park. It means you have to get a taxi or walk a long way to the carparks. Behind this hotel, there is a big pay car park, I think around 20 - 30 Euros per day. If you walk another 7 minutes down the road, there is a big free carpark. Ask the receptionist for the direction. Hotel is very nice, up to date, comfortable in very good location BUT it was one of the worst experience I've had with hotel staff. Reception guy was very arogant and rude not looking into your face when unswering your questions. There is no parking space which was a HUGE problem. I would think a 4 star hotel would include the wireless internet in the per night charge. This hotel did not, it was an additional 11 Euro per 24hrs of use. The front desk were not warm welcoming and didn't really go out of their way to provide the little things like a map or where we were located on the map. The chambermaids had more charm and ability […] to say hi and smile than the front desk staff. The rooms were a good size for European hotel rooms. The rooms were also all update and new looking. The air conditioning did not seem to work 100% as you could not set it at a certain temperature it has slow medium and fast fan but thats it. I never saw our room cooler than 22.5C. The breakfast buffet was good lots of room and lots to choose from they never ran out of things even as busy as they were. The chambermaids were good the room was always clean and they turned down our beds every evening. The TV system they had there was good too. Lots of English movies to rent (8 Euros) and a few English channels. The location was good and central. A 7-10 minute walk to the Piazza del Campo and the hotel was across from a bus station. Anche se per un brevissimo periodo il soggiorno trascorso a Siena è stato veramente ottimo, gran parte del merito va a NH Excelsior, per la qualità dei servizi resi, per la cortesia del personale e per la ubicazione davvero strategica rispetto al centro della città.

Manutenzione un pò datata. TV vecchia generazione, manca banchetto per posare valigia, stanza stretta. Colazione ottima. Posizione centrale parcheggio pubblico gratuito.

El Hotel esta muy bien ubicado, es confortable y buen precio,lastima la atencion del escritorio, que es poco cordial, no brindan informacion de nada y mala disposicion en la atencion del cliente. Por lo demas , el hotel esta muy bueno.

vrij krappe kamer met mooie badkamer. Een paar dingen waren wat minder positief te weten: geen stoelen, raam dat slechts op een kiertje kan en lawaairige omgeving van busstation. Wel lekkerdicht tegen oude centrum aan. Ontbijt bufet was prima, maar de ruimte zelf erg ongezellig en donker.

Giudizio positivo... nota dolente, la stazione degli autobus di fronte all'hotel... portatevi i tappi per le orecchie!

シエナ在住の友人おすすめのホテルということで予約しました。シエナは小さい町ですが、カンポ広場やドゥオモなど観光スポットに至近で歩いて無理なく回れます。バス停もすぐ目の前で、ローマやフィレンツェなどを巡るのも便利です。料金はリーズナブルで、ビュッフェ形式の朝食付き、どれを食べても美味しかった。夜も静かで良く眠れました。
