THIS FACILITY WAS A FORMER HOLIDAY INN. IT'S GLORY DAYS ARE LONG GONE HAS BEEN PURCHASED AND IS OPERATED BY TWO FAMILIES OF EASTERN ETHNETICITY WITRH VERY YOUNG CHILDREN BEING BABY SAT IN THE LOUNGE. THE MRS. WAS VERY CORDIAL AND HELPFUL WHEN CALLED UPON TO OPEN PLASTIC ENTRY CARD TO DOOR WHICH WAS RELUCTANT TO OPEN AND WHEN THE TV REMOTE FAILED TO […] WORK AND WAS REPLACED BY HER. I got there the bathroom is small, tubs are dirty, hair dryer didnt havr outlet cord, tv kept changing channels by itself, microwave stopped working, nothing was plugged in, sockets off the wall just terrible. Do not waste your money.

The hotel staff was polite and efficient, but the physical condition of the grounds was marginal and the room was poorly maintained.

After reading a previous review I made my decision to choose this hotel. They said it had been remodeled. But what I found was that it had a lot of water damage and probally mold. I think this hotel is very good value. The managers were easy to get along with. The room was what I expected in this price range. The only complaint is the swimming pool was more like a cess pool. I was honestly worried about my grand kids swimming in it. If I wasn't about 100 degrees out the day we stayed I wouldn't allow them to use the pool. I asked […] the manager about the condition of the pool and he said the pump was broken and they were waiting for a pool repair company to come to fix it. If they had closed the pool people wouldn't rent the rooms so they opened it filthy and all. I had already paid for my room online, so I didn't have a choice to move to another hotel. At check-in staff appeared untrained and seemed to struggle with computer registration. Motel is pretty old and poor upkeep was apparent. We had a second reservation, which apparently did not go through because the desk staff told us that our nonsmoking two double beds room was not available. I will never nor will I ever recommend anyone else to stay at this hotel again, I was displease from checkin man who checked me in i had too wait 25 mins for him to come to front desk then he was rude no customer service at all no greeting asked do you need something? room was ok had a slight odor to it not to mention i had to go and ask for washcloths […] and towell i booked a king and room had to queen beds in it then he said well this is all we have when i went back down to desk without even tellin me from the beginning to give me the option it was more like this is it take it and shutup. people were outside of their rooms hanging out and drinking partying like it was a club very displeased with presentation beer cans bottles and cups all over the ground and then saturday morning even though there was a do not disturb sign on the outside of the door the housekeeper still came in knocked on her way in saying housekeeper. I will never stay here again it makes you wonder about staying at Days Inn period. Lisez la suite

We stayed here for one night on our way from PA to SC. It served its purpose for the night, but I would recommend spending the extra money for a nicer hotel room somewhere else. The room was clean but it was so outdated that it felt scummy. The whole place just didn't have a very inviting feel. But like I said it served its purpose.

This hotel was awful

We checked in around 4:30. The beds were not made yet. If you just need a place to lay your head is works.

I stayed here a couple of years back and was not planning on returning again. I booked my stay this time thinking I was staying across the street. I was pleasently surprised to find new ownership had cleaned the place up and made it into a decent place to stay. They had a nice continental breakfast and the management was nice to deal with. This hotel is in a run-down looking area and although we didn't feel specifically threatened, it was not a visually-appealing area. This hotel has made an effort to paint and renovate at some point in the last five years or so, but it still can't hide how old it is. The air conditioning never really got the room cold, it made noise all night and it […] was very humid the whole time. The towels were thin and scratchy (worse than my car wash towels) and the tv had a lot of static. No alarm clock either. The breakfast area was atrocious. There was a machine for milk, but it wasn't working. Only a gallon of whole milk (which we don't drink) was available in a mini-fridge on the counter. Needless to say, not very appealing. The rest of the breakfast area was not very sanitary or appealing either. There were two kinds of cereal, fruit loops and frosted flakes. It would be nice to have something besides "kids" cereal; maybe something with bran or whole grains? There was also a waffle machine, which was about the only redeeming breakfast item. No muffins, no donuts, no fruit, no yogurt, nothing besides waffles, bad cereal, whole milk, and stale coffee. They said they were getting the "juice machine" fixed, so there wasn't juice either. I wasn't expecting a breakfast buffet or anything, but if you aren't going to offer a halfway decent breakfast, just charge less and don't even bother with a breakfast. We ended up eating breakfast at McDonalds two of the days. Also, don't let the proximity to the Washington "mall" fool you either. A Belk store and an Piggly Wiggly in a strip center does not constitute a mall in my book. Overall, I would rather not stay in this hotel, or town again. Lisez la suite

The pool water was cloudy so I couldn't let the children in. The breakfast was good though, we enjoyed making waffles.

i thought it was a great room for the money

It was about what I expected. We wanted a ground floor room because we had bicycles we wanted to store in the room overnight and the hotel did not have an elivator. The person checking us in put us upstairs and said something about the "noise". I didnt quite understand until about midnight. The hotel has a roudy night club in it. I really got what I paid for. I checked in at 11:30 pm and all night I kept hearing loud people outside my door. The bathroom floor was greasy, and there was mildew in the shower.

I was kept awake until after 3am by very loud guests (10 - 20), who were out in the courtyard talking, laughing, drinking until finally somone starting yelling and swearing at everyone to go to their rooms, seemed like right out my door. I felt like at any minute, someone or something would come bursting in my door. It was not at all comfortable or […] safe feeling. Management did nothing to stop the noise. Lisez la suite
