Personnel accueillant et serviable. Taille des chambres très correcte pour San Francisco. Propre. Au calme. Petit-déjeuner offert mais très succinct. Bien desservi par les bus.

Hotel tenant ses promesses au niveau des équipements. Très pratique le parking dont le prix reste très raisonnable ! Préférez une chambre au 3ème car l'isolation phonique des plafonds laisse à désirer !

Attention, certaines chambres sont mal situées (près de la route très passagère)...à éviter absolument pour réussir à fermer l'oeil. D'autres situées à l'écart, sont au calme (à demander à votre arrivée !). Le petit déjeuner est inclus, mais à prendre dans votre chambre après être aller chercher le café et les muffins à l'accueil. Cet hôtel est situé près de quartiers vivants et à 5 minutes à pied de la baie.Il permet d'accueillir des familles. De confort basique, les chambres sont spacieuses mais la salle de bains est exiguë. Le petit-déjeuner est quasi-inexistant et il n'y a pas de place pour le prendre. Cher pour ce que c'est, mais peut-être est-ce toujours le cas à SF

Hôtel à proximité d'une ligne de bus et pas trop loin, à pied, de Fisherman Warf. Il ne "casse pas des briques" mais pour dormir, cela suffit. Par contre, on nous a annoncé des très grands lits (pour que les 3 enfants dorment ensemble) mais la taille est européenne. Donc pas possible de dormir à (12 - 17- 21). Heureusement, on a trouvé un lit d'appoint […] dans le couloir mais le matelas était vieux et à ressorts... Accueil café/thé avec muffins le matin à l'accueil, à remonter dans sa chambre. Hotel plutôt bien situe, prévoir tout de même 10 min a pied pour fisherman wharf, un peu vieillot et qui aurait besoin d être rafraichi. La rue est assez bruyante et le prix est finalement élevé Mon conseil, hotel ok si pour une nuit, voire 2 mais vraiment pas plus. L'hotel est un peu vieillot, la salle de bain était microcopique et le petit déjeuner minable (il faut aller chercher son verre de café et sa mini viennoiserie à la reception ... attention, quand il n'y en a plus ... il n'y en a plus ...). Par contre, emplacement top à 10 mn du wharf. Personnel souriant.

Très bien situé, permet de rayonner en transports en communs dans toute la ville... Décoration sympa. Petit déjeuner très léger, prévoir de compléter ailleurs. Seuls vrais points faibles : parking payant un peu cher (12 dollars la journée, mais c'est la ville qui veut ça), et chambres bruyantes (on entend beaucoup les bruits de la ville, par chance […] nous n'avions pas de voisins gênants). very old hotel

Had a great time at this hotel. Check-in was fast and easy. Location was awesome for going to the pier. Room was clean and the tv worked. Covered parking if you pay for it. Can't beat it for the money.

Breakfast was very ordinary. It was close to bus lines which was good but no fridge/microwave in room and very dank and musty in the hall ways. Needs a good overhaul.

Fairly convenient, a bit difficult to get into & out of. Very close to bus lines & walking. Employees were nice. Room was clean & quiet, but not very comfortable. Overpriced for skimpy amenities; requested extra coffee & got it, but not the pillows we asked for. There was no extra chair or desk/counter area.

I chose to stay here because of the cost and location. The hotel does not have any frills, but it is within walking distance to many restaurants including one in Russian Hill, I think it's called Sushi King, that was amazing. This hotel is cheap and the rooms are nice enough. If it's not good enough for you, then you're probably the kind of person who travels first class and you would do well to rethink your priorities in life.

I stayed in the part where the room doors opened into a hallway. My first impression...very 2 starish. The elevator is actually a service elevator, the hallways narrow and the view from my 2nd floor is a wall. However the room was very very clean. I could tell it was just remodeled because the bathroom tile grout and window rails and room heater had […] no dust or grime. I definitely would stay here again if they get rid of that old tube style TV and stand. I didn't think any were still in use. Another thing, in the underground parking.. So it was my wife, my dog and myself... Everyone there was super nice and accommodating. Comfortable bed, strong heater and clean room! Shower was clean and nice hot water.. We had a great time and would recommend this hotel to anyone.. especially if you have a dog.

This is not a five star hotel. The building is a bit worn (but not too much) and the rooms had a bit of a musky smell to them but other than that we found this hotel to be a great value. My girlfriend is VERY particular about hotels and she had no problem with the accommodations. THE ROOMS were cleaned each day and the beds were very comfortable. There […] was a small amount of noise from the traffic but your in the city so its to be expected. The people working the front desk were EXTREMELY helpful and answered all (of our many) questions with helpful advise. THE LOCATION was great. Very close to buses going to fishermans wharf, downtown area and the golden gate bridge. Short (uphill) walk to the crooked part of lombard and the trolley. FOR SMOKERS: There is plenty of space and ash trays on the walkway outside the rooms with a small sit down area near the front of the building. No smoking in the rooms, but they make a smoker feel comfortable and not like an outcast. On future trips to SF we will most likely stay here again. Lisez la suite

We stayed here for one night. The room we had was massive. The layout was a little inconvenient as the only way to access our level was from the parking garage next door. They didn't have a wine opener in the front desk so I went to the restaurant next door to get a little help. Yes, the walls were not effective at blocking sound (could hear the person […] next door coughing) and the sink in our room did not drain properly (but we easily removed the drain contraption) . And the bathroom was a little small but honestly? Who cares. All of these things are insignificant and very minor. There is nothing wrong with this hotel and it was affordable, we had a good nights sleep and everything was fine. If you are the 'prince and princess' type then you will be the ones writing flaming reviews, but I personally do not care about minor inconveniences such as a small bathroom and no wine opener. Hotel has all your basic needs and you get what you pay for. It was a great price and not far from major attractions.

Within one hour of getting to our room we found a mouse! There were even droppings of the mouse in the bed. Of course they moved us to another room and were very apologetic about it. We had decided to stay for 3 nights therefore we were charged for three nights of parking. I asked them to please consider removing the parking fee of our bill due to the […] mouse and they only took off 50% of the parking fees. The new room was clean and well kept. Had a nicer view. My first impression was disappointment, the access to the corridor for our room was via the valeted parking area of the resturant next door, the rooms are run down and in serious neeed of a make over,the fellow guests were noisey, and every room door on the wing seemed to slam shut very loudly, the complimentary breakfast was a joke,the only available […] area to eat the muffin or cereal was in the reception lobby itself, which wasabout 9 foot by 4 foot wide, on the plus side the rooms were clean and the office staff friendly and obliging Lisez la suite

Safe surroundings (I was travelling alone as a single female so this was much appreciated!), very convenient to get to via bus, nice big room and friendly service staff. Only quibble was that it was slightly pricey but overall, it was a good experience.

Excellent price and location. Are room was suite, 2 Queen size beds, 1 full bath and 1 half bath. The room was basic, clean but comfortable. Overnight parking is $11.00 a night in San Francisco! We will stay there again.

Basic amenities and decor a bit scruffy. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Back room was quiet but had no outlook. Big room, comfortable bed, OK bathroom/shower. Room serviced and cleaned well each day. Convenient location for access to Fishermans Wharf (15 minutes walk). Very basic continental breakfast served in small sometimes crowded lobby (but […] can take to eat in room). This was a bad and uncomfortable experience! This was the worst hotel I have every stayed at. The bedding smelled bad, like body odor, the comforter was not clean. The room itself smelled bad. The parking lot was so small, nothing like the pics on the web site. Hard to turn around. Upon returning from the Giants baseball game we had no where to park […] even though they charged a parking fee of $13.80. I had to complain and then finally they moved a vehicle in valet and let us park there. I would never recommend this hotel since the rates were so high for such stinky conditions! Lisez la suite

I really. Liked this hotel staff was helpfull, friendly, and very understanding..we got there really early at 12pm and check in wasn't till 3pm and they aloud us to check in earlly

Stayed 3 nights August 2012, although the hotel is showing it's age the rooms were clean and the service was great.

The look and price of this hotel did not match at all. If we had more time to look for a place to stay, we would of received a better deal. This hotel was not worth the price we paid to stay and they only provide two towels, when everywhere that I've been has four. We found a cigarette in the back patio that had no table/chairs and we thought we had […] a non-smoking room. I would not stay there again. Lisez la suite

Right in the heart of the fun, this hotel was a pleasant surprise from the strat. The rate was doable, the room was clean, parking off the street, and best of all our room opened right up to the golden gate bridge!!! Very pleased. Thank You.

Nice hotel close to tour bus pickup and Fisherman's Wharf. Since you're not in SF to sit around in your room this place is perfect. The free parking is the greatest part of the deal. The staff at the desk was very friendly and knowledgeable. Also there is a laundromat attached to the motel.

If you need a room within San Francisco that can accomodate a family of 5 in a single room without totally busting your budget, this is such a place. Rates are still a bit steep considering what you get but most places in SF are overpriced anyway, so...

The rooms are good sized (we fit 2 twin size air matresses on the floor), the "free breakfast" is silly, the hotel is not walking distance away from the wharf but is still centrally located to many of the sites, the staff was pleasant and helpful, dont plan to park longer than your stay they are serious about their parking spots, no air conditioning […] but its SF so open the windows and your good, its nothing fancy but gets the job done. You get what you pay for with this hotel. It was in a good location to the wharf, however it was not the cleanest. The hotel staff was very friendly, but when we got there, they assigned us a room that was not cleaned, so they had to give us another room. The second room they gave us was on the third floor and in the back corner and seemed pretty sketchy. […] If all you are doing is sleeping in the room it probably wouldn't be bad, but with kids the room was not something I would get again. Good location if you do not have a car, basic conditions but very functional

Travelodge By The Bay is located within one mile of San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf. This is not a true statement. It's 15 minutes via "a bus" and/or one hour walk. Fisherman's Wharf is a few miles not one. Also no disclosure on your web site for daily parking fee of $12.00.

The hotel is in a nice location. Not downtown, but a walking/downhill distance (20min) to Fisherman's Wharf. Close walk (uphill though) to the Crookedest Street. There's a lot of breakfast places/diners around (west on Lombard). The area is quiet and safe. Rooms are clean, comfortable. Nothing fancy. Parking is paid (even if only for a couple of hours […] at night). The staff are okay, not the greatest. The included continental breakfast is nothing special (muffins, apples, juice, coffee/tea). There's a nice breakfast spot right next to the hotel though. If sightseeing, you can catch the City Sightseeing hop on/hop off bus close to here, which was convenient. Overall, I'd recommend it, just don't expect anything fancy from the hotel, it's pretty basic. Lisez la suite

This is by far not the best hotel i have ever been in but its not the worst either. The room was really large and relatively clean. The location is within walking distance to the wharf although the hills of the city can make walking an adventure. The biggest problem, is that the walls are pretty thin. If you have loud neighbors in the adjacent rooms, […] you are going to know. If you are near the street, you are going to get significant traffic noise. Also slightly unusual is our room had a window that overlooked a restaurant terrace that is on the first floor of the hotel which allows you to watch their customers eat and obviously allows them to watch you. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. If you are the type that needs only a clean room and clean bathroom when on vacation then the Travelodge is a good alternative. But if you need more than that (pool or amenities to entertain children) this is not where you want to stay. Lisez la suite
