I really enjoyed the stay. The room was great. The restaurant was excellent (Max's). The service was great. The hot tub was very nice. :-)

I stayed at the hotel on a Sat,Sun. night and booked on Hotels.com which was recommended by the front desk agents whom informed me of a cheaper rate available through that site. I used my own laptop in the lobby/living room and had great wifi connectivity ! I was off-site visiting relatives, and didn't use any hotel amenities, but everything looked […] great.The stay was enjoyable, and uneventful. The room itself was spacious and relaxing. TV was good,coffee was not the greatest,but it is typical of hotel coffee in the room. A/C unit was loud ! Sink did not drain after about 30 seconds of water..most likely blocked past the P-trap. Soap products and towels were requested and only received the towels. Housekeepers were using guest elevators with maid carts....and it took along time to get it to the 3rd floor. The room seemed recently renovated. Only con was the elevator. Only one is hotel, and it had to be reset in order to use.

Nice place for the price. Roomwas clean and hottub felt great. Clerk gave us free drink coupons after learning we had spent all day w the In-Laws. :-)

My wife and I used our free night from hotel.com. When we arrived we found out that our room had been designated for a smoking room. Really? Since the hotel was sold out our room was decided last because it was third party. The room smelled like smoke and they claimed to have cleared the room but it was still very pungent.

we had booked a non smoking room and ended up with a smoking room that smelled horribly like smoke. it was disgustiong. but it was too late to go and complain because we didnt get checked in until midnight.

While there are cheaper hotels in the area you definitely get what you pay for. I was in Auburn for a weekend trip and stayed at the Holiday Inn one night and the Motel 6 a second night. The Holiday Inn was far superior as far as cleanliness, comfort and smell. And for only about $30 more a night I would recommend staying here. There is also a restaurant […] in the hotel which is conveinent unless you're looking for a quick bite in which case head across the street in the CVS pharmacy shopping center there is a great bakery and a starbucks. In town for a wedding, so this hotel was a logical choice. It was nice. No complaints, would stay there again if in the area.

We found this location easy to access and the pool was great for swimming laps. The room was comfortable and very clean. The staff was very helpful and we would definitely stay here again were we in the area.

Newly remodeled spacious rooms, clean. The bedding is wonderful. The stuff is helpful and really nice. The Max's restaurant has a huge variety on their menu, lovely waitress and delicious food at a good price. We had a great time!

The linens were top notch, new flooring, good decor, small frig & coffee pot. incl. The room was very quiet although I had a room on the backside of the building. One suggestion would be to have some signage at the foot of the hill indicating HOLIDAY INN since when unfamiliar with the area the driveway appears to be the "off ramp" of the freeway and […] nearly everyone drove by and needed to turn around and retrace paths to find the address. The restaurant staff was incredibly accomodating and stand behind their product with a smile. Although the shopping area is a few miles away, it is easily accessible and the restaurant staff was most helpful in directing me to what I needed. This was a beautiful motel. So nice and clean. Everything you could possible ask for. My dog loved it and was very comfortable also. I wanted to stay another night but everything was reserved. I know why. It sure made up for the night before when staying at another pet friendly motel that was beyond horrible.

Pretty good hotel, conveniently located close to old town in Auburn. The hotel as such is more than OK -- however for us it was a huge disappointment that the heated spa was out of order. Even worse when we learned that it has been "more broken than functional for the entire year".

Even though it is close to thee freeway there really was hardly any sound. The hotel has had a recent rehab. New beds, carpet, etc. and it was clean. There are 2 restaurants within 75 yards so very convienient. Nice place.

This was a last minute reservation given Lake Tahoe area hotels were booked. This hotel is about an hour from Truckee. The hotel was clean and modern, the staff friendly and attentive. I would've preferred two queens to two double beds but we managed. The hotel is also a couple of minutes from Old Town Auburn which has some nice restaurants. We stayed here to raft the Middle Fork of the American River. It was close to the meeting place. After rafting the hotel staff was kind enough to let us change out of our wet clothes in the restrooms off the lobby.

Our stay at athe Holiday Inn Auburn was very enjoyabale and the staff was great. They were most courteous and helpful. I highly reacomend this Inn to anyone.

Convenient location, though a bit tricky to find when coming from the east. Check in took 30 seconds. Room was clean. AC worked. Continental breakfast in the morning was nice. All in all a pleasant experience.

Very friendly staff, step up from what you would expect.

I booked this hotel via Hotels.com and paid in advance in full. When we checked out, they charged us once again. We walked to the front desk and thought we had it resolved. When my statement came...wouldn't you know it, the charge was still on my bill. It took me 2 hours on the phone to get the matter resolved. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The room was very nice, with plush bedding and large tv. After reading some of the reviews of this property, we weren't sure what to expect. We found it to be very quiet and comfortable. The only problem we had on the stay was at the Marie Callender's in the hotel. We planned to meet a large group of friends there […] for breakfast. First they wanted to seat us all in different parts of the restaurant. When we did all manage to be in the same area, we found out that they only had two waitresses on duty that morning, and one of them ended up going home sick! Plus, they were expecting another large group in at the same time, so we relocated to another restaurant. This hotel was very nice, and the price is reasonable for the luxurious accomodations. Best hotel ever. Staff wes very friendly. and rooms very nice and larger than expected, Room had a huge flat screen tv and bed was very comfortable. Hotel allowed aor two small dogs to stay for only $20, (other hotels carged as much as $100.) We were well taken care of by the front desk staff. I will stay here again on my next visit.

This is a relatively new hotel and rooms are pretty nice with comfy beds and flat screen tv's. However, location is right next to interstate and uphill from In and Out burger, so smells waft towards the hotel and pool courtyard. Ask for room towards the courtyard or quiet side (they accomodated us) Pool is nice enough and hot tub clean and pleasant. […] Major adcantage of this place is that you can walk to Old Auburn in about 20 minutes but it's under freeway on well lit sidewalk.
