Cet hôtel est bien situé, il a l'avantage d'avoir un parking. Les chambres sont juste un peu plus petites que ce à quoi nous sommes habituées aux Etats-Unis.

Bel hôtel. Personnel accueillant.Salle des petits déjeuners un peu petite quand il y a du monde dans l'hôtel! Chambre propre, bien équipée.
Des frais pour toute personne supplémentaire peuvent être facturés et dépendent de la politique de l'hôtel.

Magnifique resort proche du centre-ville (néanmoins voiture préférable), avec toutes les facilités requises. Mer à proximité, wharf/Pier, magasins, etc... Tout pour passer un excellent séjour. Grandes chambres très bien équipées.

Bel hotel mais la décoration aurait besoin d'un grand coup de rehab. Chambre confortable mais poussièreuse. Deux options de petits dejeuners buffet mais pas bien expliqué à l'arrivée au restaurant. La location de vélos est élévée, elle devrait être offerte au client. Hotel assez éloigné du centre (25' de marche)

The hotel staff are very friendly and efficient. It just is not worth 1/2 the price. Much better hotels are available in the area for much less. The high prices extend to the restaurant, internet and parking charges.

For the price I was expecting more luxury, the beds were very uncomfortable and the doors and trim we're falling apart. The location was nice but not at all impressed with what we saw inside.

Told kids they could swim when we got to the hotel and then found out the pool was under construction when we got there. If the hotel is not operating at full service then they should let you know. We would have booked somewhere else. Very eighties looking- needs updating. Not a place for a romantic retreat at all. When I asked the concierge about the […] spa services she replied "here?" as if it were the last place she would think of going. Greeted by construction trailers at parking lot entrance to hotel. "Pretty place but small problems leave big question"
I reserved two rooms at the hotel. After our group checked in we found out that the heater didn't work in either room and that the coffee pot didn't work in one of them. In the one room the heater was fixed. In the other room it couldn't be fixed without ordering a part. After half our group had spent a cold night they were moved into a room where we […] found out in the morning the coffee maker didn't work. Maintaining heaters and coffee pots in working order seem to be small things I suppose but this is an otherwise nice place and I thought, particularly for the price, we could expect that kind of attention to detail. "Hotel and location are nice but..."
We had booked our stay here for my daughter's birthday and had planned on just relaxing by the pool. However, we were told at check-in that the pool is closed for renovations for the next 2 weeks. This was not something that was out of the hotels control. They chose to do renovations now without letting their guests who had booked during that time know […] about it. This essentially ruined what we had planned to do and the whole purpose of booking this hotel. They told us the "resort" next door had agreed to let Fess Parker guests use their pool during our stay but it turned out to be a two or three star motel-like place. We were not amused. Also, the hotel and rooms are nice enough but for the price we have stayed in much nicer (more upscale fixtures and luxurious ammenities) than this hotel. This is quite expensive for a Doubletree hotel but you are paying for the location (and the pool!). Also, breakfast for 5 people (3 of them children) came to over $100 in their restaurant. I would have been a lot happier about splurging on expensive food if we'd been more impressed with the rooms (and the pool). It is right across the street from the beach but the water is too cold to swim this time of year which is why we were counting on using their heated pool. Lisez la suite

This is the place to stay. Walk on the beach. Walk to the wharf for meals. 1st class operation all the way! I've stayed there about 10 times on trips back to visit my hometown--it's your best choice and worth the money.

"Fess Parker Double Tree Resort"
My wife and I had a lovely stay for our anniversary. The front desk upgraded us to an ocean view, great setting for our morning coffee. The breakfast was nice, although the waiter wasn't around much. Overall great stay, just wish we had booked a few more days. Bonus - visited the Fess Parker winery in Los Olivos on our way down and the tasting was complimentary […] since we were staying at the resort. Lisez la suite
"Pricey! But comfortable."
Stayed here for 2011 NYE, upgraded to the beach view. Not bad, but ur gonna pay! I have paid the same price for a suit in other hotels. If it were a bit cheaper it would be well spent money. Unfourtainetly all the patio's are connected together so you have NO priveacy when wanting to sit outside and enjoy the beach view! A major DOWN when u spend this […] kind of money for a room. Overall the Fess is a decent place to stay, I would peob stay there again on a non peak time to try and get a better rate! Lisez la suite
"Lovely, Expensive, and Cheap"
The hotel was beautiful, rooms large and well appointed, the staff hospitable, and the prices matched those of other resort hotels we have visited. However, there were hidden costs which seriously cheapened the experience. Having to pay $18 for parking was insulting, as was the cost of a bottle of in-room Fess Parker Chardonnay - $25 for the bottle […] of wine, plus sales tax, plus a 20% gratuity for some unseen staff member who placed the bottle on the dresser was not exactly a welcoming overture. Given the price of the room, a complimentary bottle of wiine would have been more appropriate, and we were surprised there were no robes provided. Really mediocre place. First, they charge you 18 dollars a day for parking, which is ridiculous, they have plenty of parking. The staff here is really less than good. Someone in another room left out their room service tray right in front of our room, and it sat there outside for over 9 hours. When i told the staff about it, the response was "Yea, […] that happens" Seems like a motel staff took over a 4 star place. Lisez la suite

Beautiful hotel with all the amenities. Great bar area, lots of useful amenites, on site gym, on site bike rental, tennis courts, etc. Would definitely re-book and stay again.

"Great if you're traveling with family and/or pets"
The location is great, the service is excellent and a big room making it perfect if you're traveling with a family. The only downside is it's a bit dated & although the service is total 5 star the room is more 3 star. Since I was traveling with my dogs it was perfect but little things like the bed and sheets weren't as comfy as I would normally like […] and even the kleenix was kind of cheap. Lisez la suite
"Dog friendly"
Perfectly serviceable. Carpet is rather tired. Room was large (we paid extra for ocean view, may not all be as nice). The lobby is nice-looking than rooms, but as I said, rooms were good enough. We saw several people with dogs, and the staff provided water and dog treats in the outside bar area. Seems like a friendly place if you have dogs with you. […] We saw, but didn't hear, dogs in the hallway, etc., so the rooms must be insulated well enough not to have to worry too much. Lisez la suite

"DoubleTree Resort- Almost perfect minus the trains"
The resort is definitely quite large with all the amenities one would require and friendly/helpful staff all throughout the resort. Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. The location is nearby many sightseeing attractions. The only downside to this hotel is that there are railroad tracks located behind the hotel. The placard in the room says these […] are historic train tracks and you will hear trains going by every now and then. We certainly did! At different times throughout the night we were woken up by the trains going by and sounding their horns. Hotel management was very kind about the matter the next morning, and made some remediations. According to hotel staff the trains can be heard all across Santa Barbara so perhaps there is no way to avoid the noise. Nonetheless we would have appreciated knowing the proximity to train tracks before booking, not through a notice in the room. Overall a great hotel, but for light sleepers: you may want to find a room in the hotel further away from the train tracks or a hotel further from the tracks altogether. Lisez la suite

Everyone from the front desk to the maid service to the bartender was friendly and courteous. The room was worn but charming.

Just go there - you won't be disappointed. It is a well designed, gorgeous building, immaculate- inside and out, the location is fabulous and the prices are very reasonable. We were so impressed that we are considering it as a short-list destination for our corporate off-site.

Every single person working on Christmas Eve and Christmas day was wonderful and first class. The breakfast was terrific. I stayed in an ocean room and didn't hear any train. I was concerned after reading some of the reviews, but I highly recommend this place.

Our stay was great. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Linens were top notch and the overall service in the bar and restaurants was excellent. Would definately stay there again.
"pets a problem!"
Not everyone is a fan of a pet friendly hotel. This was actually a foreign notion to me when we had our stay. There were dogs everywhere, lobby, hallways, etc. When we saw them before checking in, we inquired, and were told that they were not allowed in our wing, and they couldn't stay long in common areas. Both rules were broken!! IN FACT, some fool […] left a large barking dog in their room as they went out, right next to our room. Barking on Thanksgiving morning, total NIGHTMARE. "Comfortable, close to beach"
We really enjoyed our stay at the Fess Parker Double Tree Resort. Our room was very comfortable, the beach was across the street and we were a short drive to State Street with all its shops and restaurants. We were also able to bring our cat with us which was a special bonus. Also, the breakfast buffet was delicious and had lots of choices.

I stayed at this hotel and took an 88 year old who was traveling with assistance of wheelchair or walker. The hotel staff was great. The room was spacious and the hotel staff went out of their way to accommodate us. This is the second time that I have stayed at this hotel. The prices are expensive at all hotels in Santa Barbara and I think that this […] hotel has excellent value for the price. However, I don't think it is clear enough in the reservation arrangement that the food is only located in one building and this was quite far from where we were located in a satellite building. However the hotel staff was great about driving us (including person in wheelchair) back to our building/room after dinner. The fish tacos in the restaurant were excellent. Lisez la suite

ripped-off for parking and internet, on top of outrageous room rates. "moutain view" is really a parking lot view, with trains going by all the time.

The hotel is situated in a great location within walking distance to the pier. The rooms are modern, spacious, clean, and the hotel staff is always ready to open a door and/or welcome you back to the property.
