Hotel trés classe et trés bien situé sur une rue commercante au centre de toronto je le recommande sans pb à tous on se sent comme dans un grand hotel alors ke le prix est abordable. Seul bémol la salle de bains un peu petit et l'eau chaude ki faisait des siennes car on arrivait pas à la regler

Proche du centre ville, prix très abordable, chambre bien équipée avec TV et baignoire (quoique qu'un peu petite mais je pinaille) Personnel agréable. La seule fausse note est le petit déjeuner continental (jus d'orange coupé à l'eau et tres acide, pas de chocolat chaud, baggel et pain de grand surface) Cela dit, quand il fait -15° on a pas le courage d'aller au Starbucks du centre ville.

Our stay was excellent. The staff very friendly. Very clean hotel. Would recommend this hotel to any one wanting to stay in the down town core.

Great location! We were two adults with our five year old, everything was good.
I would highly recommend Novotel, to friends and family, parking rate is a bit high. The only thing that I noticed is the room smelled like cigerettes, my system is very senstivie to cigerettes, but Im not complaining only next time, I would make sure that I got a non smoking room. "Novotel- downtown"
THe location of the hotel is excellent. The room service and restaurant staff and food were very good and helpful. The actual room was hot and stuffy and smelt like stale smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. The room itself was a little run-down and basic but clean. THe internet, although free, was difficult to set up and we required help even […] though we followed the steps, this took a while. My family stayed at Novotel for 1 night. Lobby is modern, staff friendly, rooms clean but dated (older furniture and TV's). The toilet regularly sounded like it was running which was a bit noisy. Took kids swimming - pool was OK - a bit small and just one depth. Proximity of hotel was great for us as we walked to hockey hall of fame. Lots of restaurants […] and pubs across street. "Disappointing stay"
Stayed there for one night before Christmas. Our room was clean and well maintained, however our headboard shook because the ice machine was plugged in on the otherside of the wall. We asked to move and were promptly moved to another room. Unfortunately, we later discovered that the floor was occupied by a large group of male teens from out of town […] attending the hockey game. The shouting, screaming and banging of doors by drunken teenagers kept us awake until 4:40 am. I suppose you could say we were unlucky to stay on the same night as a hockey game, but I suspect it is the" same as usual" on all hockey nights as security did nothing to control the disturbance. Unfortunately during my stay the city was doing sewer work across the street and had to turn off the water to the hotel. I know it is not the fault of the hotel but they also did nothing to inform myself or any of the guests that this would be hapening nor did they offer to do anything to discount my stay or even appologize for any inconvenience. "Ask about Hockey Tournaments"
What a disappointment our stay at Novotel was, this time. Novotel has been our hotel of choice, when visiting Toronto over the past 10 years. This was our second stay on a New Year's Eve but may well be our last. The hotel is conveniently located, although there is a great deal of construction around the hotel right now. The rooms are comfortable, […] with good quality matresses, pillows and bed linens. Unfortunately, on this stay there was a hockey tournament in Toronto. We had to contend with a floor full of 17 year olds running up and down the halls, cursing and swearing and throwing things at each other until 4am. Calls to the front desk did nothing to remedy the problem. The front desk staff were full of apologies and sent up security but once security left the floor, mayhem reigned, again. Apparently, the hotel was full so they couldn't even move us to another room. We made our reservation back in mid-October. No mention was made, at that time, that the hotel would be full of teen hockey teams. No effort was made to supervise these young guests and no security measures appear to have been in place to handle the situation. It also appears that no one had the good sense to block rooms on separate floors for the teen guests and those of us who wanted to enjoy a New Years Eve get-away. I was a little taken a backl that they would charge to make a local phone call. I thought that was The slap on the face on your way out

Fantastic entrance and lobby area and hallways and pleasant staff . Why the hotel would go on the cheap in the rooms is beyond me ( think uninspiring college dorm) and a television from the mid 1990's. Renovate the rooms before the common areas!!

1. Construction on street was outside of room. Construction starts at 6 A.M. No need to set alarms. 2. A sign inside bost's the company is in the top 50 employers, There was a gathering of people outside the Hotel, microphones, chanting etc. they did not feel the same way ?

The Novotel Toronto is well located in the theater district, close to the train and subway system and easy walking distance to many restaraunts and shopping. There is construction in the area but that should be completed sometime in 2011 or early 2012. The only complaint is that the room was cold but the hotel provided a space heater on request. "Wedding Weekend"
Location was perfect for walking about downtown. Prior to our arrival I requested a change to our room so that our daughter could stay with us. No problem and no extra charge! Staff are courteous and helpful. The only drawback is that Toronto has never-ending construction and even though it is outside the hotel, the sound-proofing of the hotel is quite […] adequate for one to enjoy their stay. The wedding nearby was terrific and the other members who were also staying at the hotel enjoyed the Novotel on L'Esplanade. "Novatel in Toronto"
Everything in the hotel and restaurant is perfect. Food and service and room is great and it is within walking distance of the arts district. We have been coming for years and one of our favourite places to meet was the cozy bar area. I really do not like what they have done there. Hotel was very close to the air canada centre and CN tower. There are many bars and restaurants within a short walk. The rooms were very nice and comfortable.

This hotel is conveniently located if you are travelling for events at Air Canada Centre. You can walk back from the arena and even stop at the neighboring grocery store to grab a late-night snack. Our only complaint was that the staff seemed perpetually irritated that we were there. We had stayed there one time before and we liked it very mich. The food in the restaurant was very good and the service was excellent. The check-in service was also excellent and we will probably stay there again next year.

"Novotel Toronto Centre"
The hotel itself was fine, but there was costruction work on the hotel's internal driveway the whole time we were there, vibration and noise started early in the morning when we were trying to sleep in a bit. If you want to stay here wait a few months until the jackhammering and noise if finished.

During my stay at this Hotel, there was construction taking place in the lobby, and in the roundabout just outside the hotel. I was woken up at 7:30am to very loud banging noises, and eventually to the sound of a jackhammer. I was staying on the fifth floor, and when I called down to complain, I was told that it was "Strange that I would hear it all […] the way up there". While checking out that morning I mentioned my disappointment to the man at the concierge desk, he shrugged his shoulder and told us to have a nice day. If my concerns had been taken seriously, my stay would have been much nicer. The overall appearance of the hotel was nice, and our room was very clean. I stay in hotels rougly 50 days a year. This was THE worst experience I've ever had. I will NEVER stay in a Novotel-chain hotel ever again! Air conditioning - works terrible (set temp at 60F and two days later temp dropped from 78 to 73). Internet Access - works terrible - forget streaming video, even voice streaming breaks up often. I was very happy with the accomodation in Toronto. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and the equipment in the fitness room is good.

"Novotel Toronto Centre- A Mixed Bag"
On a positive note, the hotel was very generous about cancelling one night of our 2 night stay when we contacted them a couple of weeks before our stay. This isn't a common courtesy, so we have to say thank-you very much for that. This hotel was the host hotel for the race I was in, and they had the convenience of a bus to shuttle those people involved […] in the race to and from the event. Thanks... was an awesome thing for them to do!! Room was very clean, but I have to say this is the first time we've ever stayed anywhere where we've had to basically make our own bed (it had the fitted sheet and the duvet/bedspread on it... the top sheet and blanket were in the closet). We stayed at the end of August, and the room's air conditioning didn't seem to be working correctly... just seemed like a fan blowing air instead... so the room was rather warm that night, and therefore didn't get the best night's sleep. We realized the following night around 7pm (of the day we had checked out) that we had left an item in the closet in the room. Called the hotel and they said that they would connect us with housekeeping so they could check the lost and found. Turns out that housekeeping goes home at 6pm, and therefore there was no way they could check for our item. Looks like our loss, since we were leaving the city right around that time. Lisez la suite

Front desk a little prissy on checking in and a small domestic between the check in staff was soon overcome. Hotel in renovation so a bit dusty and noisy in the morning. Room standard king very good value with breakfast and free wifi (a bonus these days) Fantastic area near the CN tower, Yonge St all the sights, shops and eating places.
