Chambre pas prête à l'arrivée malgré le respect des closes d'heures de départ et d'arrivée. Petit-déjeuner facturé alors qu'il faisait partie du "package". Facture de checkout à surveiller. Hotel qui n'offre aucune vue car totalement noyé au milieu des buidings.

Hôtel moderne et confortable. Flexible de douche dans la baignoire comme on aime en France !

Good in general. But it was inconvenient not to be able to open windows in the room, and there was a large crack between door and floor.

We found our stay here outstanding for a budget property. The place was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the amenities were very nice, including the pool, jacuzzi, and exercise room. The breakfast buffet was also very nice and the wait staff were engaging and friendly. The Esplanade is somewhat off of the beaten path, but we were within short walking distance to the financial and downtown areas and there were several nice restaurants nearby. Toronto is a very expensive city, but this budget property was gentle on our wallets. We went for business and pleasure, as I was attending a professional seminar and brought my parents, wife and child for vacation. The hotel where the seminar was taking place (about a 12 minute walk from the Novotel) was hundreds of dollars a night more. For a family or anyone on a budget whon wants to visit Toronto, I would strongly recommend this property. If we have an opportunity to go back, we'd stay there again in a minute.

The hotel is really nice well kept, clean and everyone is really friendly. The room is a bit small byt it was cleancomfortable just a view of a parking lot but that is the only thing. Breakfast the next morning tastes great and a good varity. I would recomend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in toronto in a trendy area who likes food and drink.

This novotel doesnot look like any other novotel we've stayed.Check in was ok,staff on reception busy but ok. When we entered room we were very dissappointed,we felt like turning round and walking out.The carpet was dirty,stained and smelly.The TV looked like been there for years.The windows haven;t been clean for god knows how long. The bed sheet had small holes in them,they were old and perished. It was difficult to get the shower temperature right. The noise from the building opposite was unbelievable.We did not get any sleep till 0300 am. We spend two most frustrating days of our holiday.Due to lack of sleep,we did not manage to do anything during the day.Our whole time was wasted in toronto due to this poor hotel accomodation. This place needs renovating big time. i mailed the manager from there and then as we were so unhappy,but not heard anything.

perfect area , close to many tourist attractions but also in a quiet area w/o much traffic. Can walk to St. Lawrence Market, Eaton Centre, Entertainment district, harbour front, Union Station, Distillery district, Air Canada Centre, many fine restaurants, etc, etc. Hotel is clean, has indoor pool and all amenities.

This hotel had an excellent location in Toronto accessible to all the sights and sounds. The front desk was not very friendly, and it seemed like they deal with business customers mostly. Overall, the rooms and hotel were very nice. You should be warned, though, that you will have to pay for parking and there is no free breakfast offered. Otherwise, its location and price would make me want to stay here again.

This hotel is great!! Well situated close to tourist sites yet out of the way just enough to be very quiet. The buffet breakfast is the best I've ever seen! Everything you could possibly want! This hotel is a must if you're visiting Toronto! I can't wait to go back!

On arrival very friendly and helpful staff, all facilities well maintained and coveniently located. Breakfast buffet varied and well presented. Will return for another visit in the future.

This hotel is in the downtown area which is perfectly close to everything. It's a short walk to the CN tower, the harbor front, and dundas square (Toronto's "time square") The hotel was nice and clean. Was scared to touch the mini bar since it would be automatically deducted from your card but the room was very nice. Only complaint was the internet was very slow and they wouldn't give me a good deal to stay an extra night but that wouldn't stop me from staying again!

This hotel was great in every way - one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at. The breakfast was excellent, staff very helpful and friendly, and the price was very reasonable for downtown in one of the world's big cities. Very close to Union Station for trains and the TTC, and also within walking distance of the CN Tower, and the harbourfront where you can get the ferry to Centre Island, which is well worth the trip.

The bed was not comfortable at all- which is KEY to a good stay. Great location - walking distance to most theaters. St Lawrence Market right there. Is great area needs to do some upgrades to be in running . Would not recommend due to uncomfortable beds .

Nice clean hotel in a good location. This is one of the more quiet and reasonably priced hotel in the downtown area.

Booked Novotel Toronto Centre on hotels.com. Hotel was great in all but one way. I booked double beds and ended up getting one bed and pull out couch. Extremely uncomfortable. We were only there for two nights so we made the best of it. Hotel is in great location. Paid for breakfast buffet included in room rate and it was well worth it. Food was excellent in Cafe Nicole! Room wasn't the largest but suited our purposes just fine. Wouldn't want to stay with more than two to a room though. Staff was nice and friendly and considering what we paid for a downtown T.O. hotel, it was well worth it.

Very clean rooms, comfortable beds and linens. Staff was very professional. The morning breakfast buffet I thought at first was pricey but the variety and quality of the food made it worth a little extra for breakfast. Convient location would gladly stay there again

Our first two nights at this hotel were unexpectedly bad. We came at midnight and intention was to brush the teeth and fall asleep as we had to wake up at 6am. Soon we realized that there is no hot tap water. Later-better,as we could not sleep at all because of the music that were playing at the night pub in front of our windows. So, almost no sleep did not help us to have a nice time. The next night was much better because it was already Monday and the pub was not working at night. Next two days we were in another room that was wider, away from noisy pub and without problems with water. It was a nice stay. The Novotel on the Esplanade has a really good cafe.

We stayed for one night at the Novotel in Toronto. It is located a couple of blocks east of downtown, but easily within walking distance of all the main tourist attractions. The hotel was very nice. The neighborhood was lovely. The room was great. Our only problem was that the free wifi signal in our room was too weak to initially get online and we had to first login in the lobby area before bringing the laptop into the room. We would definitely stay there again.

Novotel on the Esplanade is well-kept; the staff are genuinely friendly without being in-your-face. The room with a super-comfy king bed was spotless. the location is a short walk from St. Lawrence Market and dozens of restaurants, pubs. Yonge street shopping is a few minutes farther. You don't need to leave the hotel to amuse yourself - there is a pool, fitness area and restaurants within the Novotel.

Our original room had a squeaky / noisy vent fan in ceiling. We requested a new room but were asked to wait for a maintenance person. After waiting 45 mins. (not wanting to unpack), someone finally warrived but we had to leave to make a diinner reservation (had advised the hotel). After coming back, we called the front desk (at least the fourth call) and were finally moved to a new room (this after being advised that a) there were no rooms; and b) no rooms on our floor. Final result - we were moved to an equivalent room on our floor. This could have been handled so much better. In this case, it was not and we won't be back. Unfortunate because the location is great and the potenatial for Novotel to have a strong presence along the Esplanade is being wasted (also found one restaurant server to be quite full of attitude). The hostess, on the other hand, was great.

Very good hotel, perfect location for visiting downtown Toronto by walking. Friendly staff, nice rooms, not very large, but sufficient. Very good breakfast. Parking lot direct below the hotel, spacious. Would come back again!

Word of warning for anyone going soon - directions may not exactly be accurate on internet map sites. The eastern end of the esplanade (the street the hotel is on) is blocked to westbound traffic. It is easier to get to the hotel from Jarvis than from Yonge St. This hotel was what we expected from Novotel and from the prices given the prices of the competition. It is more affordable than a lot of the comparable hotels in Toronto, and lives up to that billing. The rooms are "european Ikea-style" - comfortable with decent furnishings. We thought we had an issue with the A/C, however it turns out that when it gets cold at night, the entire hotel switches to heat, which was quite annoying and unable to be remedied. This, however, was a problem at multiple Canadian hotels on our trip. Location was excellent as long as you are not averse to public transport - two blocks from the Union Station for the subway, easy to get around everywhere after that. There are a few dining options and bars right on the same block as the hotel, and a few more on Front street one block away. Overall, a good place for a quick stay, probably wouldn't pick it to be there for a week though.

This is a great hotel which is ideally sited for the main attractions. Staff were very friendly at all times. Breakfasts were great with lovely fresh bread and a wide rage of fresh fruits and cooked food. My only gripe was the cost of the water in the hotel room. We used a bottle (in error) as soon as we arrived. This cost over $CAN 5 which is £3.33 in GBP. This was a ridiculous price and close to a scandal!

located 5 min from Air Canada Centre and right across the street from The Keg and The Spaghetti Factory. Obtained a great rate from this internet site.

I thought that overall the hotel was not bad. The service was good, the room was comfortable enough. The bathroon was really nice... it had a window that can show you showering..which can be fun for couples - but can be easily covered by pressing a button, if you want privacy. I changed hotels thinking that the Courtyard Marriott was going to be better and it was not - even when they changed us to a "better room" - Novotel was better, more modern and had more amenities. Positives: Nice lobby, cheap parking ($20 at the time), spacious room (we had a complimentary upgrade due to aniversary), pool, jazz music in the room, big and clean bathroom and nice creams, shampoos and hair dryer, cofee maker, flat tv, etc - shoe shine machine - haven't seen this before and love it, best bread in town, low prices... were the cheapest for new years, close to CN Tower. Negatives: it could be cleaner, it is not as close to the hustle and bustle (if you like it), tiny parking spaces, not a great view, corridor walls could use new paint. If I had the same budget I would stay there again - service was fine. PS: I believe that in Toronto it is standart to have a safety deposit charged on your credit card.

$7.00 for a bottle of water. Seriously? Novotel, c'mon now, wake up. That's a ripoff!

It is a very good hotel for the price that Hotels.com can give. Its location to Downtown Toronto is very good. You can easily get to shopping, sporting events, theater as well as downtown business.

While Novotel was acceptable, it wasn't a very good value for the money and had room for improvement especially at it's price level. There was a large gap under the door which allowed noise in, heavy construction across the street (as of late 2009) which created noise in the early AM, and services like wifi were of poor quality. Also, they seek little ways to squeeze customers for more money: if you call a cab, they will call a limo for a kickback and more money. They charge $4.50 per small bottle of water. Etc. It just needs a bit of a rethink to be a great hotel.

We were pleasantly surprised at how well the hotel met our needs. It was within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go. The staff wasn't friendly at all but since we little interaction with them it just made it feel like we had rented an apartment instead of staying at a hotel.
