Wonderful staff, clean rooms, nice breakfast. My only complaint is that they don't limit pets to certain floors, like I've found in other hotels, so they can't offer rooms that have been pet free. When I requested a pet-free room at check in, they explained that they shampoo carpets, etc. after occupants with pets have stayed in a room. I have a hard […] time believing that. I was not at happy with the overall condition of the hotel. It was a last minute get away for me and my husband. My room was located at the very end of the halll and it did not have a good view (small windows), loud air conditioning unit and dirty floors were dirty. On the 2nd day, we return back to the room after 3pm and the room had not been cleaned. […] Called and complained to the front desk and they did not appear very concern. When we return after 6pm the room was cleaned (but not the floors) and the door nob fell off. Called the front desk again, maintanence came immediately but was not able to fix the door knob and we had to move to another room. We were assisted by the maintanence guy no one from the front desk called to see if we were ok or need anything. 2nd room was much better...modern air condiitoning unit and a cleaner room. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE . Rating 2 1/2 stars only becaue of the location to the beach (1 block walking distance). Lisez la suite

It was a good experience for us and our son. We asked for a non smoking room and when we arrived we were given a room in the 7th floor which is a smoking floor. The room smelled like cigarette but the view was wonderful so we decided to stay. They brought a bottle of Fabreeze and we put towels on the bottom of the doors to block out the smell; After […] that, the room didn't smell anymore. The beds were very comfortable. We slept very well those nights. The bathroom was clean and not moldy. The only thing I didn't like is that the room was very dusty. They came to clean it a few times but it was still dusty. The pools were nice and not crowded. We just had to walk 2 short blocks to go to the beach. The breakfast was very good and it was nice that we were able to bring it to the room. There is a subway across the street and a seven eleven a block away. There are not a lot of restaurants around but everything is pretty much close by. We stayed at this hotel before but this time I was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable the room was. The hotel is 2 blocks from the beach. Very easy to get there. Traveled with kids and the breakfast was a great plus.

The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was quite good, with waffles. The location was good for the price. Plenty of restaurants and a grocery store nearby. I was not traveling with a pet, but the hotel must be very nice with pets, as there were quite a few people staying there with their dogs.

We picked this place because of the mostly good reviews, location, and pet friendly. Fairly good reservation experience through hotels.com, but not very good customer service. Hotel was fithly, no cleaning crew around. There was food in the elevator floor, you couldn't see through the windows on the lobby floor, and the only things that were pleasant […] were the staff and location. The air conditioning barely worked and there was no ventilation in the rooms, not even in the bathroom. The bed cover was a tough fabric like a rug and there were not enough towels in the bathroom for the number of guests in the room. We had looked at previous reviews and thought this would be a great place to stay due to it's proximity to the beach and Harris Teeter is right next door. The location is fantastic. The rooms and service leaves you wondering why you even thought about booking here. First off the room had a horrible stench of smoke, eventhough the receptionist said this […] was a non-smoking room. To resolve the problem they gave us an air fresher spray and said use this to fix the problem. Secondly after one night of stay there I notice multiple red dots on my forearm and neck. After close inspection and examination of the bed, bedbugs were seen. I caught and killed 5 of them and who knows how many more are there. If you don't mind the smell of smoke and begbugs, this is the place for you. For everyone else, I would avoid this place unless management changes its cleaning policies. Lisez la suite

We've stayed here before because it was the nicest hotel that close to the beach that accepted dogs and didn't make you reserve a smoking room to do so. The only negative I can say is that we had a full set of beautiful new hangers...but no closet hardware! There was a nook where the closet should have been but no shelves or rails, just hangs laying […] on the chair. Certainly not a deal breaker but very odd. Hotel was close to the beach, only a couple of blocks walking. Plenty of places to dine close by as well as a major chain grocery store immediately behind the hotel. Our room was clean, but you could tell the hotel was refurbished. I thought the room rates were a bit high, obviously we paid for location. Overall I would rate this hotel as average. This hotel is great if you have kids. Pool, arcade, laundry, walking distance to everything and free parking. The negatives were old, dirty, bad TV, noisy hallways due to dogs and kids, small bathrooms. The comforters were scratchy and the disney chanel on the T.V. you could barely see. The hotel was really nice and was only ONE BLOCK AWAY FROM THE BEACH. I went with my family of 3 children and their father and we all walked with no problem. We could actually see a piece of the beach from our room and you could really see it from the window where the elevator was. We got the king room and it was enough space for us 5. It wasn't a huge […] room, but it was enough space for what we needed. We will definitely stay there again if we can't find a beachfront. The hotel staff was really nice and the continental breakfast was great. They had many items to choose from including waffles, hard boiled eggs, grits/oatmeal, muffins/toast, orange/apple juice, cereal, fresh fruit, and yogurt. I was very pleased with these choices for it to be a continental breakfast. The only downfall was the pool. I didn't go swimming, but I'm sure other people would like to know: there was an indoor and outdoor pool, but they were really small. The maximum capacity was 20 for each pool, but from what I saw most people weren't in the pool; there was only about 5 at the most that I saw. Overall, a very good hotel. Lisez la suite

The cost of this hotel in comparison to others in the area was relatively low. It was 2 blocks from the ocean. We could see the ocean from our room and didn't get charged for an ocean view. Great service at the front desk rooms very clean and staff very helpful. Also had an indoor and outdoor pool which the kids loved.

This was the cleanest hotel I have ever been in. Being able to bring the family dog along was great. The staff was fantastic EXCEPT the lady in charge of the morning breakfast. She was very intimidating/rude and even made a little boy cry because he dropped two muffins. She was not someone we wanted to be around early in the morning. The only problem that I had with the hotel is that they missed changing our bedding one day and when we went down stairs to let them know they said that they were not done with the rooms yet for the day, we left and went out for the evening and when we returned they still did not change our bedding or give us fresh towels. I thought the motel was clean and the staff was very friendly. Desk clerks were polite and very willing to help. It was comfortable and just 1 block from the beach. I would definetly reccommend this motel.

The beds were rock hard, the door knob was broken and the air conditioner was sub-par. It was close to the beach though and the office staff was very friendly. Very busy hotel for pet owners, but not worth the price.

Close to shopping, good area to walk, very clean, very friendly.

All employees are American and thus the place is clean and well kept. Great location too the beach and excellent pizza and bars next door. There is a 7-11 one block away.....park your car and there is no need for it's use until you leave. They have their own parking lot and there is an armed security guard that roams the premises and monitors your vehicle. […] Most places for this price, in Virginia Beach, are total sh** holes with sticky carpets, mold everywhere and rude non-American owners. The hotel was very accomodating, the staff curteous and the rate was reasonable. The pools were clean, the breakfast was OK, with cereals with milk, both hot and cold, yogurt, juices, breads and hard boiled eggs, apples and of course coffee, The hotel accepts dogs, and there was a kind of yappy dog in the suite next to ours. Wasn't really too bad, […] just noticable enough. The bathroom was clean, however it looked like the rim of the tub ( ledge) was dirly, I didn't wipe if off, but the next day after housekeeping, it still was dirty. Service was pitiful. Rooms were not cleaned properly. Breakfast room was chaotic and the people working there didn't seem to enjoy working there, which translated into poor customer service.

The location and accomodations of this hotel were great. It was near the neptune park where there was live music all weekend. The restaurants next door, Chichos Pizza, Mojito Cafe and Catch 31 are all worth checking out!! Our room was next to the elevator so a little noisy but we booked late so I guess that's all that was left. Perfect place to stay with your pet! Very friendly and CLEAN!! Walking in the halls you couldn't tell that this hotel allowed dogs; I was very impressed. Close to the beach (Block and a half away). Very pleased, good location, close to the boardwalk, lots of restaurants, etc close by, convenient to Convention Center! Would absolutely stay again.

This hotel was wonderful. The staff was very warm and inviting even at 12 midnight. The breakfast was fresh with a wide variety. Yummmm. Next visit I have at Virginia Beach will be at this hotel. Great price and great staff.

We only stayed one night but was satisfied with everything we had.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a little slow to get started and we were in a hurry. Most importantly, you're in party city -- karaoke next door until 4 AM (fortunately, the air conditioner was loud enough to drown it out mostly). Much nicer than expected and very close to the beach. A very clean, comfotable, dog friendly place with an accomodating staff. Would definately recommend to friends.

Room was comfortable. Only complaint was soda in vending machine was 5 months past the expiration date but hotel front desk refunded my money. Good location but no hot tub and no balcony or windows don't open. Some of the hotels on the beach look pretty dumpy so I'm glad we stayed where we did.

Hotel is well maintained and room was very clean & comfortable. Front desk staff were very helpful & friendly. My daughter loved the heated pool. The complimentary breakfast could have been better, but overall a great place to stay.

The 2 nights we spent was ok but the aircondition was a bit noisy and the hall needed a quick hoover. But we had a good time.

Room was outdated and very dingy. Bed was very uncomfortable, actually sunk in on one side and the pillows were very hard and flat. Our refrigerator was broken, the exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work and worst of all, the bathtub backed up when my daughter and I used the shower......very disgusting. The shower and bathroom is very small. No treadmill in the Gym. The beds were comfortable but very small. But all in all it was worth the price. DOGS EVERYWHERE.
