Red Roof Inn Spartanburg - Spartanburg

We booked a deluxe room that was supposed to have the following: a fridge, microwave & coffee maker. when we entered the room it did not. We called down to desk and got moved to another room that was supposed be correct. That room only had a fridge that did not work. The hotel Ice maker was broken and the machine had warm drinks in them. When we talked […] to the front desks about all the issues we had they never offered to reinburst me or reduse the rate we paid. We were told that it fell upon Hotel.com to issue any reinburstments. While in the lobby I contacted Hotel.com and your rep Erick promptly contacted the hotel while I was there and while discussing the situation with the Hotel manager and also getting nowhere got back on the phone with me and reinbursted me my payment. Although I will never stay at another REDROOF Inn I will always book through Hotel.com and recommend it to everyone who asks. Because although the hotel was a total disappointment. Our hotel room was clean and tidy with efficient hotel staff. We had walked in fairly late in the afternoon and we were accommodated very nicely. Very close to a couple of restaurants and quick access to highways. Very nice stay.

the stay was awful i'll never stay again, cant even descride had terrible it was.

I checked in and the AC did not work. The guy from the front desk said he would put me in the next room. He came over with a hand cart and said the room next door didn't work either. So he loaded up the refrigerator on the cart and moved me to the other end of the property. Once I got situated in the new room the internet would not work. So I tried […] to call the front desk and the phone didn't work. So I had to call from my cell and was told the internet was not working and they were not sure when it would be fixed. Everything was great but when i got there they charged me agian for the room so i got charged twice for the room!!!!!!!!!!

I think they need to put more cameras in there parking lot and more security on there primisses

Convenient location. The breakfast bar was nonexistent and hotel room was not clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The hotel bathroom area had dirty foot prints on the floor the shower rugg was torn and when u took a shower the tub filled with water. Only get this hotel if you need a cheap get away weekend.

breakfast was cereal and danishes however there is a mcdonalds about 50yrds away as well as a restaurant other than that pretty pleased with the hotel for the price i paid through hotels.com

Room didn't have a remote. Called front desk and the phone didn't work - I could hear her, but she couldn't hear me. No shampoo and cheap soap. Not much of a breakfast. Not sure how safe the area is. No frills, but for the low price is was an accepable place to sleep.

Well when I first arrived the key card did not work. Then when I got in the room and first noticed the room smelled like cigarettes in a non smoking room. And the furniture had pet hair all over it and it smelled bad. The carpet in the room was very nasty with stains all over it and the web site shows a Jacuzzi tub in the particular room I was getting […] but when I looked in the bathroom there was a regular tub and shower that has black stains in it. We were not provided enough towels,washcloths,soap or shampoo from our first night until we left. I went to the desk our first morning to get towels etc and was told that the.maids would not be in until 9am. I explained that we had an appointment but still no service. After that the cleaning staff used our toilet and left a bag of garbage on the bathroom […] counter. Our fridge got unplugged and some food spoiled. The carpet was smelly and visibly dirty. Very, very dated facility. Someone previously decided to punch the bathroom door several times and the proprietors elected to not fix this. Oh, what that does for ambiance (not!)

Friendly staff. Great experience.

Excellent location, great price and overall better than expected. Breakfast was lame, but that was ok since the hotel is between a McDonalds and a Burger King!!

Room was clean. Bath was clean but the tub matt was atrocious. Staff was very polite & helpful. The breakfast was a disappointment. If you stay multiple days, you must have the room key renewed each day. Overall, a fair value.

i stayed there for 4 nights while i was down visiting someone. i used it as a place to sleep and shower and for that i found the hotel to be very good. the tv wasn't a flat screen but it did get the channels that i normally watched so that was a great feature. i did not use the pool or eat the breakfast but for the price and what i used it for it was […] a great deal for me. room service came every morning to clean/offer new towels and etc.... my room was clean when i got there and i didn't have any issues like the other reviews. Fair for what we paid.

Staff was helpful, but... Knob to control a/c was broke, so it was either freeze or melt. Iron and Ironing board were so badly corroded/stained that they were unserviceable. There were no phone number directory on the phone (to indicate, for example, "0 for staff, 1 for...) It was the worse hotel stay I ever experienced. The best thing they need to do with that hotel is demolish it and start over. The room I was in needed a lot of work done on it and the price is not right. Hotel 6 is better than it.

When i checked in the room was missing the TV remote, the phone plate was missing so you could not call the front desk. They said you could request a fridge but they have no maintenance person so we could not get one. they do not allow early checkin or late checkout even if you offer to pay a fee.

We stayed at a Red Roof in Greenville, SC that was cheap and had been recently remodeled, but this one hasn't been. The staff was friendly enough, but the room could have used a serious cleaning. And maintenance - the tub didn't drain fast enough to keep up with the shower.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel could use some updates. Pipes are noisy when showering. McDonald's next door had someone playing loud base music. Turn on the air conditioning and drown it out. lol Other than that, it was nice for the price.

I'm not normally one to complain or write bad reviews, but the beds were almost hard and the pillows in the room were thinner than the sheets. And they need to hire a better maintenance crew for sure. All the trash cans surrounding my room were full the whole time I was there. As soon as you walked up to the hotel or opened the door to the room it smelled […] like hot garbage. Almost made me throw up a couple of times. Something so simple as emptying trash and it would have been a much better experience. But some places are just plain slack. This hotel is one of them Lisez la suite

The room had a strange smell/odor when I walked in and had to spray perfume to make it comfortable. Would recommend plug ins to avoid this. Other then that the room was convenient. Thank you

I haven't stayed in a Red Roof Inn before, so cannot compare to others in the chain, but this one was "spartan." Room and property had that "well-used" look and feel. If all you want is a bed for overnight -- cheap -- this works OK.

Dealt with the manager and felt very welcome. the room was clean and comfortable. very convenient to get to less than 400 meters from the interstate. would recommend to everyone.

Very good value for money. Decor was a bit tired but friendliness and helpfulness of the staff made up for it. Comfortable beds.

This is absolutely the best deal for the money in the Spartanburg area. Keep in mind that this is nit the Waldorf, but it was clean and comfortable and cheap. Our room was a non smoking king. It had a fridge and microwave. The bed was very comfortable, though the pillows were kind of wimpy. It was a little noisy on Sat night as I was right next to the […] stairwell but Sun I didn't hear a peep. They have a free breakfast, but it is nothing to write home about. The coffee was excellent. However, it is sandwiched between a Burger King and McDonalds and across the street from a Waffle House and a Fatz. So, plenty to eat. Easy on and off the hiway. I'll definitely stay there again. My room was perfect for a week long business trip to Spartanburg. The room was clean and quiet. the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient.
